Almost cried when i went into Glint’s lair and saw my old friend Ogden. Even the fight inside the lair really feels like Gw1. Thanks Anet for makin me (veteran GW1) experience Gw1 inside GW2 once again!
Better solution. Change Anet’s implementation manager whatever they call it. Based on Gaile’s reaction on this thread its clear that it was never communicated with their team… was not even mention when the patch came out as usual.

If you want the color change, you can just buy it off the TP, it’s “Poly-luminescent refractor (Some Color)”

Hi Anet it is possible to add this item to Halloween vendor rather than RNG instead? In that way everybody has the chance to get this cool item.
Ascended was a mistake for Anet and now OP wants it to be par with Legendary? Changable stats is really is isn’t enough to make a Legendary a Legendary and now you want to take away that small feature and put it to ascended…. wow!

Create elastic gear (since gear has stats) that would work well to help players use many builds, rest them and don’t punish them for mistakes, but help them learn and get better.
HOW?
The idea would be to create Ascended with one stats and then by mixing it in Mystic Forge with: new ascended insignias (so market is balanced), explorable item (scavenge hunt), and some skill points (sink) to unlock that new stats on that ascended weapon.
explorable item – would be different item (or a group of items to combine in MF) from many contents in the world (gatherables/bosses/temples/dungeons/etc) that would add a bit for exploration and scavenge hunt for people who want to upgrade their gear. (!) but not a grind, more like do something not only pay for it.
WHY?
For some of us changes to the trait system was step in the right direction, but for me the worst part of it I’m still bound to statistics on my armor/weapons and they impact a lot what I can to with my build.
Yes, thats a lot of pain and it sometimes forces you to make another set of gear.
But if you want to make ascended (that cost a lot) you don’t want to make new set with different stat – lets be real about it.If you can make ascended into the elastic gear that will change for your needs – people will use it more often and will have new goals for them.
An ability to make one of them and then upgrade it to make them ideal for people who want to experiment with builds, and that is something that has to be encouraged in this game, especially with balance updates that sometimes make some builds from good to bad.There of course will be people who will want to have all stats on each gear and thats great for them too. Everybody would win this way.
What about LEGENDARIES?
Legendaries are extremely pricey, but that cost should be a convenience like unlimited gathering tools.
Basically I would leave them as they are – an item that will always will be max level and with all possible stats as default without a need for any upgrade in the future.
This would work for everyone I guess.
Some people would make ascended items instead for legendaries, but the skin is also part of legendaries exclusivity.INFUSIONS and SIGILS/RUNES?
I would use this system also on them to allow players unlock sigils on gear more than replace them over and over, especially when with wardrobe we lost ability to reuse once gained runes, that pains many players.
SUMMARY
I would love to see it come to the GW2 as a necessary step when game developers try to make this game more community friendly and that goes towards builds diversity. I see people want that, but without a good tools that would support this it’s still a not enough.Please think about it.

Question for whiners: has any of you guys did a dungeon ex. fractals that every thing went smooth and after 3rd frac suddenly one guy said brb then after 30mins he hasn’t come back yet? What’s worst party cant kick him cause his the instance owner? Try it! And maybe you’ll support this change…. it will greatly ruduce trolls in dungeon/leavers too.
Do you guys think that there’s a middle ground between ultra hard and easy?
For example, I think we could clean up some of the issues with the Shatterer and just make it a more engaging experience. So rather than spending the entire fight hiding under his right paw he could, say, turn his head and attack that area? :] It doesn’t have to be hard, just a little more involved.
We tried to put in a few changes here and there when we added the new world boss timers. Reactions varied.
Honestly? The dust champ in dry top is much harder to kill than shatter. Increase attack make it zerg proof that we have to constantly move like new bosses/veterans you’ve added in dry top.
Tequatl’s only a ghost town if you arrive five minutes before the show. Show up around 40 minutes to an hour before and you’ll land in a map that’s organizing.
There are a lot of people that simply don’t want to camp mobs forever. Had that
long enough in Everquest 2 .. no thanks to Waitwars 2.
So I guess you don’t know what we do while waiting for spawn? We farm champs just so you know and our time is not really wasted…..
All the last patch/update of gw2 have made the game harder. Trains are gone (queensdale and old frostforge) and dungeons are getting harder (some of the old tactics dont work anymore). People are quitting the game because best itens are almost impossible to buy and the best ways to make gold are being destroyed by gw2. From my usual group of friends to create a party (about 13 people), only 3 of them keep playing everyday since the last update. Im getting frustraded too and i just dont get what is the point of this.

You misunderstand the market. If precursors suddenly fall from the sky for everybody, T6 will fly universally. Imagine if you can save 800g by crafting Dusk compared to it’s price now, the majority of that 800g would just shift onto the cost of T6.
All this would result in the cost Legendaries with a cheaper precursor, Kamo, Moot, Minstrel etc. rising through the roof.
I have made 5 legendaries and sold 2 shields in tp so yea I perfectly understand the market. I will only agree on precusor crafting if they will make Legendaries and precusor not tradable but of course it might be too late to implement it…

I’m not even certain why he was buffed to begin with, it was a perfectly fine boss event until he got the god overbuff. Now hes pretty much pointless to try and kill, and more and more people are resolving to not even attempt the event anymore. Somehow I don’t think that’s what you guys had in mind when you have him that overbuff. He does massive damage (which is alright) but takes pretty much no damage from anything. The damage this guy takes needs to be increased by a substantial amount.

Laidari is too much overpowered. I wasted ~70 tickets, 10g and all festival tokens to get absolutely NOTHING from her. She needs to cripple less, have 2 at max inv buffs and spam less red fields. HP nerf would be welcomed as well.I am trying to kill her for 2 days already and Im seriously out of patience for this game.. aNET please do something about this.

Chaos of Lyssa, the first item wich got in gw2 with a rediculous drop rate, precursor like but in a meta event. FINALLY Anet is giving this game and people some exclusivity.
Too bad i had that with liadri mini BEFORE the nerf and now its too easy, so not even worth mentioning.
Only shame is that this is pure RNG, so eventually itll go to the hands who has the most gold or actuall cash converted to gems to gold since its not account bound.
We need more UNOBTAINABLE skins guys, you really all wanna look exacly the same? Enough armor skins you say? so why is almost 50% of the people with over 5k AP wearing a light of dwayna? or why is every rich warrior wearing the exact same ‘legendaries’?
We need more skins that are actually super duper rare. Eventually everyone will have 1 of those super duper rare skins regardless of value, since theyve played the game long enough. But instead of all wearing the exact same skin, itll be all sorts of skins and cool types of armor youve never seen before or always wanted.
As it stands now they are adding more and more ‘expensive’ skins to achieve this goal and im happy with that. Now all they have to do is wrap around a good storyline about the next elder dragon with a quest where you have to travel all over tyria for so you eventually get to a new area wich you go to ONLY after youve done this quest wich tells you the lore about the dragons and such wich immerse you in it. With a one time after kill:“pick the weapon skin you want from these super ultra legendary various types of staff skins all sorted with there own cool super awesome effects etc, but only once in your entire characters carreer you can do this so choose wisely since its permanent.” sort of thing. This would mean exclusivity by achieving. Anyone will eventually reach it since its permanent, but since there is a ton of different skins and you can only pick one it will keep its ‘skin’ value.
Also this would be a quest where you would actually choose what role you want in the gw2 universe (with a title variation on wich path you take)
(my personal experience in gw1 when ascending to unlock new areas IT WAS AWESOME)
Also make it a bossfight worthy of an elder dragon where you need a well equipped coordinated party AFTER defeating another contender party in a PvP type match where you get to choose the skin if you achieve the goal and if you fail you get some sort of token so you can still farm your way towards it if your not that good. (with a foolproof PvP match before everytime so ppl cant just /suicide and redo it)
Sorry ranting on, I love the new exclusivity of skins, RNG not so much.

I don’t know, there’s something immensely entertaining about ~20 players defending a vigil engineer during a toxic offshoot by forming a line in from of him and only using bows to take out the charging enemies. It’s the kind of thing I “dream” of when I envision cooperative MMO play. That never happened pre-megaserver.
I’ve seen nothing wrong in the slightest with the megaserver system. There are more people on maps, more guild invites and more idle chatter. Some of these may not be to any one person’s personal liking, but there’s nothing fundamentally wrong with them.
As far as I’m aware (and I may very well be mistaken), Ferguson’s Crossing has yet to beat Tequatl. Maybe now the megaserver implementation will give us the needed edge to do just that.
People don’t realize that megaserver had improve the game. I think most of the whiners had mistakenly thought that Gw2 is a single player game.
I’ve seen exponentially more chatter in the maps of Gendarran now that they’re looking for other games to play because of megaservers, so I figured I’d get some opinions from others.
Personally, I don’t plan on leaving, but I do plan on significantly reducing money spent on the game because I really, really dislike the direction it’s now going.
Seriously title? I’d say megaserver had bring people together some how. Now you can see people everywhere even in low maps. People are complaining that servers are empty and this is a good solution imo. Megaserver has some glitch but im sure it will improve so it’s far from destroying the game. Even TTS still managed to organized to do mega bosses.
It’s not possible for me to do other paths. Why? Because PvE is so bad before the patch and worse now!
I tried Arrah P1 once, wiped on trash at the door over and over because of bad group, never again ty. And all I ever see is dummies selling paths for gold. They should be banned for that.
I do ot see why they need to restrict chests per day, that is the lamest dumbest idea ever.
You had bad pug and your blaming Anet for that? Selling dungeon paths is one way to make money some of them are elite players that can solo it without exploit. How it is being good in pve dumb idea? In Gw1 we also sell dungeon/map running and its totally legit and now it carries over here.
I know a lot of people are upset with some of the changes, but try and understand the reasons from the developer point of view and allow for some things to be readjusted as necessary.
some of the changes that people aren’t liking will possibly be further tweaked with hotfixes, just give it time.
The best you all can do is provide calm and detailed feedback like some have already been doing. It is possible that they had overlooked some things and all of you will do a better job at finding the issues than a small team would be able to.

Anet nerfed my characters into the dirt today by taking away almost all Traits my characters had earned. I am not a good enough Player to reach level 80. That’s right, I am not good enough at this game… but I love parts of GW2 enough that I had kept the game installed so I could return one day.
Well today I log in and my highest character, lvl 51 ELE has four traits out of the over 15 he used to have. FOUR. I was having a hard enough time as it is.Anet doesn’t want People like me playing their MMO. Anet must want the Players that can breeze through leveling content to 80, which I admit I have had a hard time doing. Without those traits, and the benefits I each of my characters got from them, the game is now beyond my abilities.
These changes were great for the gazillion lvl 80s, but not good for Players that have a hard time with this game. Anet decided whom their preferred customers are and I am not on the list.
I am not rage quitting, I just realize I don’t belong here and there is no sense in holding out hope I might play GW2 again.

In all honesty, its one of the only things I think they could do that would make it seem like Legendary’s are an actual achievement rather than a mark that you either have enough money in real life to just buy one or you made a ton of gold in the game to buy one. (Obviously this is about perception and won’t actually change how someone did or didn’t get one).
It would make perfect sense to make pre-cursors require gifts you get from doing some of the other aspects of GW2 that are largely ignored by most people. If Keg Brawls or Belcher’s Bluff had really tough achievements that eventually lead to a gift that you could make a pre-cursor with, you’d hear a lot more people trying to doing those things rather than just Champ farming or dungeon speed runs.
And how would the legendaries owners feel( those who earned from hardwork) If they implement time gating precursor? I lost tons of gold and also triumph with mystic forge so I say let be as it is. BiS cosmetics are not meant to acquire easily even when your paying from your own pocket (gems=gold)still you lose money. Farm your way to Legendary, flipTP etc lots of ways….and yes with a great deal of luck maybe precusor will drop for you.
idk, the same way they would feel that people can now copy that legendary as many times as they want after the patch with only a transmutation charge? It’ll become much easier to have a Twilight on every char.
Quite honestly, what does it matter what people feel who already have one? There will always be changes that effect players that have already done something. How do you feel that GW2 is on sale for $25 when you likely payed $60 for it? Same concept really. If you worked hard and earned your weapon, why should you care if more people might be able to work towards their pre-cursor?

So what If can give my all toon all legendary skin? Its not like you can give legendary skin to others I dont see any problem still the same account. that’s what sells me on this gameI completely rufuse to support subscription based games as they are nothing more than a colossal rip off
Gw2 proves you can make a superb high quality MMO and not extort money from your fanbase every month
I would never have gotten into MMO’s or online gaming for that matter if it was not for Guildwars 1 and its no monthly fee policy

RoS or really D3 in general was a massive flop, ESO is going to be SWTOR 2.0, I ripped at lvl 86 in the new HC league on PoE and cant find the determination to reroll … There really isn’t any MMO’s out there right now worth a crap. So I’m here, at the best 2014 has to offer unfortunately voicing my concerns with the game.

No, there is freedom in the trinity. You can specialize your dps as in condi/crit whatever you like. If anything theres less freedom with out it, as you have to take into account that you’re going to get hit, so you need toughness, that takes out of your damage, you have to heal yourself and others, so that takes out of other things you might want to build yourself into.
You have an opinion, but its wrong. Allow us to diversify ourselves within the trinity, rather than making everyone a tank/dps/healer.

According to a member of our programming team, there is a known issue that is preventing some players from getting rewards. The team is investigating.
However, quite often, a player is mistaken about the status of their account or is shown that rewards are due when they aren’t quite earned. Players should do some troubleshooting steps before submitting a ticket, because this might be resolvable individually, and ,may not be related to any bug.
Here are some troubleshooting steps:
- Log into the game with the character that has the 100% world completion.
- Go to Bloodtide Coast via Lion’s Arch and enter the Chantry of Secrets.
- Make sure that you have claimed the “Sanctum of Secrets” Point of Interest within this map instance.
- Some of the skill challenges require you to consume an item. If this item has been consumed in a zone other than the one in which the skill challenge is located, you will not receive the rewards for 100% world completion. Revisit every map in the game and that may resolve your issue and grant you your items.
Also, sometimes the title is rewarded prematurely (in error). To receive the rewards for fully exploring the world, please carefully review each map for missing Points of Interest, Skill Challenges, Renown Regions, and Waypoints with the single character with whom you are trying to finish the task. The most common areas that are missed are World vs. World maps, Chantry of Secrets, and the various city maps, such as Divinity’s Reach, Black Citadel, etc.

Generally we find that players are resolving the problem by revisiting each the following cities.
- Lion’s Arch
- Rata Sum
- Black Citadel
- Divinity’s Reach
- Hoelbrak

- I just fixed after reading some solutions here, come back to whisper cathedral ( i alredy had explored ) and go back to the last interset point, work for me.
- [Player] teleported to all the map locations and found that he had not opened the reward chest (the one you see each time you finish a map or after completing daily quests or dungeons) on one particular map. After opening the chest, another reward popped up and he was able to obtain the Gifts of Exploration.
I hope all this is helpful to you. If after doing these steps and following these tips you continue to need assistance, please submit a ticket. If you already submitted a ticket some time ago (say, more than a week ago) and, after going through the troubleshooting steps above, still need help you can simply respond to your ticket and say you still have not received your rewards.
OK Anet I’ve done everything you suggest here nothing happens still i got 100% map but no rewards. Submitted a ticket no response so now what? btw this is my 4th toon to go for world completion and i had no issues with the others till now…

Aoe dmg in events are too great that rezzing is difficult. Even with my 29k hp regen warrior is having a hard time to keep up with high aoe dmg when rezzing somebody. Only after mobs subside will be a good time to rezz…
Kaineng is low pop server now but we still get a OF at peak.
