Aww some people were mean to them and now they are afraid to post…qq how sad, hey how great would it be if we can all avoid work at our jobs and still collect paychecks because someone is being mean to us…think of the possibilities!

In all seriousness that cop-out excuse is getting old and tired, this is their game, and whether they like it or not, whether they regret WvW or not its their responsibility to take care of it and communicate with the player base. And if they continue to show neglect the way they do then they deserve the anger and frustration that people throw at them simple as that. You don’t put off your responsibilities at a job then complain that somebody is mad at you, you cant have it both ways.

This isn’t the government, its a business, you do a bad job you should be replaced or moved not stay there for 20 years.

This is long overdue for change, its not like karma/wvw gear is ascended we should at least be able salvage to remove upgrades. I don’t personally care about getting materials back I just want to be able to get upgrades. In fact the entire salvaging system in this game needs to be changed, why is there no way other then the ridiculously overpriced one time use upgrade extractor to remove upgrades without destroying the gear kitten … hell even gw1 had this feature its not like its so difficult.

What a ridiculously idiotic thing to say. I have never heard of any server that sanctions this kind of behavior, which is against the eula and bannable regardless of who does it or for whatever reason they use to justify it.

We have a siege troll actively wasting supply by building useless paper siege everywhere in BG garri right now claiming its in retaliation, can we get anyone from anet to get in there and stop him

Can someone give me an explanation of wvw builds? I’m really starting from ground zero here. I’ve been playing Pve and I understand that typical Pve builds won’t cut it in wvw. First off, before deciding on a build and gear setup you need to decide what profession you want to use and what you want to use it for. WvW builds are designed to be synergistic in group play if zerging and more mobility oriented for roaming builds and use skills/weapons/gear that are not used for zerging because they do not create synergy or add to your group.

Let me give you an example in regards to your question about build rational for common builds, Necromancers who build for zerging will generally use zerker gear and run wells for high damage, there is a gm trait in Soul Reaping that increases your crit chance in DS by 50% so with zerker gear it goes over 100%. It is common practice for power necros to drop wells and go into ds for that guaranteed crit chance for massive damage. See how it works? The build has to synergize with your role in a group.

In regards to the “Modified Ammunition” Trait, if the engineer inflicts conditions like blind, vulnerability, cripple, immobilize for example which do not do damage on their own having that traited will increase damage on the target by 2% for each for a total of 8% but it should apply only to power based damage.

From my understanding, if it just says for example “10% damage increase” it only applies to power based damage not conditions. Condition damage is only increased from said stat (might boon also increases cond dmg and power, consumables, utilities, etc) and now vulnerability.

I don’t think they were trying to disable access when they redesigned the NPE, I think it was because there was to much clutter on the screen or some stupid reason idk and that players would become more aware of wvw as a leveling reward as a kind of learning progression..lol…The whole thing was such a giant joke imo.

Are you sure you can only access them at lvl 31? Cant you just go to your home city and use the portal to la then go through the portal to wvw or eotm?

Its a stress test, not a beta event. They are not the same thing, pre purchasing hot gives you access to beta events, not stress tests.

Yea I too would like a toggle option especially for my guardian, it makes using consecrations a lot more difficult, especially underwater. It can have bad consequences in wvw as well, when running frontline and losing focus because your trying to click and target purging flames when its needed.

Seriously I am getting fed up with the lag and connection problems with this game if your not to busy coming up with cheap ill thought out gimmicks for wvw can you possibly look into fixing your weak and outdated servers?

Cant go 5 minutes without dc’ing from wvw (bg bl).

I tried it out after the patch, the tooltip for ether feast didnt update but it did remove 2 conditions when used. Also note that it removed conditions on the END of the cast of ether feast, I also noticed the tooltips for several professions heal skills dont update properly when affected by the new traits that affect them, ranger shouts for example and heal as one.

Love these people, always a great time with Finality best driver on BG and a personal favorite to follow.

That doesn’t really help…people get these kind of things, panic and need help and information, even if they know its fake or a scam they want to know their account is not actually in danger. That’s what these scum try to do, is exploit peoples fear and get them to act emotionally without thinking clearly, better they actually ask others for info rather then jeopardize their account.

For those that don’t know, or haven’t received this, its an in-game phishing scam mail sent to players at random. Anet does not contact you through in-game mail about this kind of issue, nor do they ask for your info. Always check the bottom of the mail where it says that it was sent by another player, and never ever go on those sites they are designed to steal your info by installing key-logging malware on your computer.

For further protection always make sure your computer has up to date comprehensive protections, anti virus/malware/spyware etc and firewall. Always check the address of a website, phishing sites are designed to look like the real thing by replacing letters with similar looking letters, for example “arenanet with aremanet”. And make sure you have email or mobile authentication on for your account. And for gods sake dont ever visit gold seller sites for the reasons listed above, they are criminals and scum and nothing more.

DC’s, Lag, Black Screens, & FPS Drops all while just standing around in a city, all at random times, going on for a while now. The FPS drops require a shutdown of the game from the desktop, trying to close it the regular way causes a computer freeze. Lag spikes at random times, especially wvw and skilllag but what else is new right? DC’s every couple minutes during certain random times. I dont know what the heck is going on with this game anymore.

Cant believe its not fixed yet considering how broken it is, making it 1500 range when reducing the other grenade skills to 900 makes it even more op.

It just gets worse and worse, ever since the stab changes not saying its related but the timing is. Heck was soloing a camp last night, 20 people from my server ran in and right away my fps dropped and everything lagged, I was thinking to myself wtf is going on. They didn’t attack anything because I had killed everything they just ran inside and almost on cue the game just lagged. It gets to a point where it doesn’t even need to be one of those massive 3 way blob fights in one area to cause massive lag, it can happen at spawn, just running around solo anywhere anytime. The skill lag is horrible, I find myself constantly slamming down on my keys to desperately try to get my skills to work. A couple weeks ago I raged so hard I had to log off because I couldn’t help but start cursing in anger in ts and chat.

Like the title says, this is impossible to use properly underwater for skills like purging flames unless your standing on the ground, if your floating in the water you cannot actually place it at your location, please disable this underwater to actually make it usable ty.

Maybe i failed to find it, but there’s no significant Consortium Hub on the town. I mean the Black Lion got the huge Vaults building, but the guys that actually worked on rebuilding LA have a smaller presence than before? How the hell would a cutthroat mercantile guild/corporation/wtv would pass up the chance of improving their visibility in a town they rebuilt? And yet it seems they actually managed to erase their presence.

On the contrary, the Consortium had their brand new corporate headquarters built in the Commodore’s Quarter. You’ll find some of their workers milling around the two doors that lead to the workpit of their common functionaries and interns, and to another, more lavish office where they host clients for closed-door meetings.

Moorookoo village is lovely! Be sure to visit the biggest structure there that’s full of the tadpols. Wait just a while and Peneloopee and Bloomanoo will sing a lullaby that’s the best Quaggan song in the game to date (at least in my opinion!)

Human is good race for a heavy, though I prefer norn/charr more for heavy classes personally. You might want to consider camera problems that might come up with larger toons as well as jumping abilities, things like that, charr/norn are really bad for it. Otherwise you can always change gender with a makeover kit. I personally wouldnt use an asura, if there is stacking, and all the visual effects its easy to lose sight of what your toon is doing because its so small. My advice would be stay human, but w/e you choose have fun.

We’re still debating minimum size, you can see a lot of discussion down in the guild CDI thread that’s helping us inform some of those decisions.

And no – you don’t need people to be in your guild to help you capture it. Bring friendly guilds to help you out, ask nicely in Lion’s Arch, etc.

Id like to suggest maybe some kind of instance of the capture event be included for scaling purposes to make it easier for solo-5 person guilds to capture at least, w/o having to resort to bugging people to help. I think a lot of people really just wanted a guild hall as a private place with conveniences bank/vendors etc that can be accessed from anywhere much like GW1 as basic features for halls.

The city looks nice much nicer then the original, nice aquatic/nautical theme to it. But can you please add more vendors/ crafting tables/ and banks. As it stands, and unless I am missing something there only seems to be one of each spread out all over the place making things very inconvenient. The forge alone should have craft tables, vendors, banks, and a tp merchant very close by for obvious reasons. Would appreciate more of these services, but otherwise the new LA is beautiful. Not at all the look I expected but I was pleasantly surprised, the game artists have been doing great work with all the new stuff.

Also please add more labeling on the map for npcs and stuff, for example Dungeon merchant shows up as “merchant” on map

There is a theory that certain servers fill up with pve players because of a cool sounding name, think dragonbrand etc. This makes it hard for certain servers to maintain a consistent wvw coverage and hence that server will constantly bounce up and down the tiers, bandwagon and exodus, again think dragonbrand. This might be a reason SoS is full. One of the problems is that for new players there is no information given about servers unless they actually go out and research on their own. Personally, when I started in late 2012 I had the same issue and went with a cool sounding server because I thought it would maintain a high population :/

Shame too about SoS’ problems, I have several friends who do wvw there and dont want to leave because they grew attached to the community over time, so I hope you guys can bounce back.

extra gear storage features would be great for inventory and bank, however the only real option for extra space is buying extra tabs from the gem store, but why are you posting this in the bugs forum would make more sense here:

I think the whole point of this change was because of the way players use death shroud. Either players pop it for offensive pressure and/or pop it immediately after using consume and waiting out the cd for a very long time thanks to vital persistence. This caused a large imbalance with deathshroud which is probably the most powerful profession mechanic because it is essentially a 2nd lifebar so therefore it was either making consume have a longer cd and causing vuln+extra cond (if traited for reduced cd) to cause players to be more conservative and defensive with using death shroud or reworking deathshroud to be less useful/powerful which would have been more extreme.

If your truly desperate the only other way is deleting all your toons to get a free transfer, I would say just suck it up and grind the gold its not that hard do some dungeons and a little farming and sell stuff not complicated

No need to buy it, you will be able to watch the slow painful death of wvw for free.

Classifying it as a symbol would allow it to have access to symbol related traits which might make it a bit to overpowered which in turn would cause it to be nerfed making scepter much less useful considering its all single target damage already, just my opinion. Also Mace does have symbol on its #2 skill.

You clearly have no objective view nor any knowledge of what exploits are, and clearly do not seem to understand the essential problem here so no point wasting more time with you. This is an issue anet needs to deal with regardless of whether or not you think its ok because it can be occasionally countered

The main problem is that siege is able to be placed and used in invulnerable spots whether or not it can be hit back is irrelevant. Its like saying if someone is flyhacking its ok if you can still kill them with ranged attacks. The essential problem is that siege use and placement is not being addressed by anet because it is supposed to be disabled.

Thanks for updating the wiki, that bug post on it and the lack of info regarding whether it worked or not kept me from using it for so long, only found out by accident lol

UNPLAYABLE SKILL LAG IN EB for BG how long is this garbage going to go on the constant lag and skilllag could not do anything against a constant double team, could not even use skills at spawn, 3 years into the game and this crap is still going on. Could not use heals or utilities properly.

Hey just wanted to let people know that despite the stated bug on the wiki about the 6th bonus on Superior runes of the trooper not working underwater, I tested it on a new guardian (w/o pure of voice traited) and my old warrior and it does work underwater removing conditions on shouts as stated.

There are places with invulnerability where you can place siege you dont have to be standing outside of it to place it. And I think many people are completely missing the point here, this is a clear exploit that is getting abused it doesnt matter if it can be countered that is irrelevant its not supposed to happen in the first place. Anet needs to change the invulnerability borders around the entire maps and actually disable any siege use when in an invuln spot.

Not one to support a ranger on JQ :p but +1 to the idea maybe add it to a seasons reward idk.

I would add though more reasons it should be in the game seeing as how its of limited appeal to the playerbase since its mostly used in wvw.
