Please tell me where the warriors is lacking. I’ m really interested in this.
All this posts about “Get the xyz for the xyz” im sure they are made with good intentions… but please we are so dumb that no one ever thought about it? The stuns and immob in this game is over the top in some classes and that’s is a truth for me. As an elementalist against a warrior for example i must timed perfectly every single skill and if the war stuns me then… i’m dead. And yes i have a stun breaker, some times i have 2 of them. some times 3. in a average cool down of 40 secs. Do the math
The signet problem is not ranger specific. All classes suffer this. Its a known bug that
in a preview patch stated incorrectly fixed.
Its in the patch notes guys!! xD
I would prefer to remove it and replace it with a lava font

Good job using rtl while immob.
There actually is no targeting skill which can hit an ele during rtl as it is too fast. Rtl is the best escape in the game, period.

when you try to rtl. Maybe someone is clicking his skill the exact same time with you. Or lag. Or the moon was blue at the time.

Yes they will fix it… but when… Necros had some bugs for months…
Anyway what makes me angry is that they announce a bug fix which they never did.
And after that all the hot fixes is about the special events… :/
The thing is simple. The sighet was always in 25sec cooldown. With the trait Signet Mastery the cooldown was at 20 secs. After some patch the trait Signet Mastery stops reduce the cooldown on Signet of Restoration. The recent patch does not fix the problem.

The signet it was fine until the pre-last patch, after that it was bugged only in pvp… and after todays patch “supposed” to work correctly…. ANET you did it again!!!!
Meanwhile we have no response about the signet of restoration. Its a bug ? its a nerf? its a plane? How can you messed up the cooldown of a skill when you must change only the passive buff?
Furthermore when you use the signet and you have the Written in Stone trait the signet applies a 20 sec passive buff for the health regeneration which was ok when the signet was ready at 20 sec but it leaves you with 5 sec without regen now. Nice?
Oh and its not fixed with this patch.
I don’t know if this is intended or a bug but the signet mastery does not affect signet of restoration ( spvp only and after the recent patch ).
We have a fix for this incoming.
Let me also add the game does not work without some sort of minimal queing. We will continue to improve the queue to make it unobtrusive as possible as we believe the game should feel more like an action game, but due to its online nature and infrastructure some amount of queing is necessary.

I have never played a mmo with this kind of skill queing(at least it wasnt visible), there must be something wrong.
I think that most mmo out there use “dice” for hits and do not having dodge rolls at all.
So… i dont think its something wrong. Its that the game try to be more action oriented and not a Dungeons and Dragons dice rolling clone. After all we have an answer from a dev. Be patient.
I think that every projectile reflecting aura cannot reflect unblockable projectiles. Pre patch some of them had this ability but not anymore.
A little piece of advice for any ele that is not bunker or full cantrip.
If you fight a mesmer there is a good chance that he will not have any significant condition removal.
If you have the signet of fire just cast it first and then if you are d/d drake breath him.
If you have a scepter go to earth and auto attack him.
After a few second and some damage more he will drop
Well … if we are going to be realistic, then the necromancer will be able to curse you to
death and you will be unable to do nothing more than to die, the mesmer will just make you think that are you a vegetable and then wither from the hot weather , and the elementalist will just burn you alive in an instant. This is a game, there is nothing realistic, thief’s in general cannot turn invisible ( except if they are ninjas :P ) and warriors cannot leap for 10 meters with heavy armor. But you have a point that the screen can be very messy. Maybe the game must have an option to reduce some graphic effects that its not class crucial ( like mesmers ).
But about the filling of the battle field, you know its more much confusing
in reality. In reality you have not a 3d person perspective, and the explosions and
sounds its chaotic. When i had see for the first time large scale battle in GW2,
i was thinking “That’s is like a real war” :P
I was thinking about the problems i have when i want to capture some
video with action from the game.
I must find a decent capture program, that is free ( i can’t spent money all the time :P ), which is not “heavy” to my PC and be efficient enough so it does
not drop significant the FPS. Another problem that i have its with
the file size of the captured video. It must not be very large but it must be in decent quality too.
With that in mind i thought that the best solution will be if the GW2
had a native capture mechanism, not for video creation but rather
a command capture file. That means that the game will be save to a file the commands that the game receives and send, and base on it renders the screen that the user sees.
That will make the file size very smaller than an video file and you will be able to see the captured game when you open the file inside of the GW2 , or better with an external render program ( a viewer ).
I know that maybe its hard the coding for this, but will be so more easier to upload ( the so smaller in size) or download files, the quality will be perfect, and with some coding more the viewer will be able to choose even a different camera angle.
That’s my suggestion, i don know if someone else suggests the same think, if someone
does then sorry for the double posting :P.

to stay at 25 sec even with the signet mastery ? They will fix it soon?This appears to only be in sPvP, I think they nerfed the passive on signet of restoration for sPvP—hopefully it’s only a bug and not part of the nerfs.
If its a part of the nerf then it is undocumented, maybe its a ninja thing :P but the fact
is that does not make any sense to be a nerf (its a signet so the rule must be applied to it like all the others ) and when you are going to select this its write 20 sec. When you actually slot it the number goes 25.
And something strange that i just discover to day, (in sPVP ) the signet of air
suddenly some times interrupts channeled skills. That was an old problem
but lately i had no issues like that. And the most bizarre, when i conjure the fiery greatsword fery often it does not appear in my hand, just on the ground.
I have never experience this problem before, can someone confirm if its
a new bug or not ?

Ehmm…. the range is a huge factor to a fight, try this : Be immobilised from a ranger
and with your cantrip in cooldown… stay there for x second and you can just play with your thumbs. OR you can cap a point (sPVP) and a Warrior shoots you from above the rocks. You can easily try to hide running like a chicken or stay die. Truth is that the D/D is in a huge disadvantage in a fight if the opponent knows how to use the enviroment.
I have running for a while a similar build for sPVP

Its very fun and effective but im not staying only to earth,
since the air have very good damage and you can burst with
Gale→dragon tooth and phoenix.
I do not use so much the water except for a quick
freezing gust and comet when i have the opportunity.

Flame wall its extremely usefull if u find … a usefull way to use it :P:P
I cast flame wall and then go earth→magnetic wave for the extra might,
after that stone shards to adding burning. Its nice combo although very situational,
and u have to blow the magnetic wave.
Well There is obsidian flesh and magnetic wave…
S/F 20/20/30/0/0 Like a boss
No one knows how to fight it, so its all lulz. Perfect for pesky ranged players, more blinds and projectile counters than most classes, don’t even need mist form because Earth 5 is a 4 sec invuln xD, goin for the signet condi build, because I just don’t care
0 points in arcane takes some getting used to though lol.
Im using this build for a long time, its very good, very versatile
and the better part ? NO ARCANA! I have not anynting against Arcana but
im sick to hear from every single one * The only viable build is…. * and then some 30 or 20 in Arcana. I strongly believe that anyone who is complaining about * not one other
viable sollution * is just copying wiki builds and never try to discover a new one.
And YES is NORMAL to destroy you when u are 1 and they are 5 or 4 or 3 or even 2.
For god sake u are not a noob when u are losing against more players.

I have switched too from D/D to S/D and im really love this weapon set.
For utilities (SPVP only) i have signet of restoration,signed of air , signed of fire and for the last one either a cantrip or the arcane blast.
I have traits for : fire aura when activate a signed , mainten the passive effect of signets , zephyrs boon and 3 sec protection.
I have decent damage, ( with fury 67% critical ) and good survivability.
I don’t understand why someone must be a bunker.
I run a signet build with scepter/focus and im very satisfied with it. I enjoy it better than D/D that every one ( include me in the past ) runs.
Speaking for SPVP only of course , I have 0 arcana points and i have enough survivability and decent damage.
Signets its awesome. Really i like it alot, but they need the right specs for being viable.
If someone trys to create a bunker with 30 arcana and slots signets its very propable that he will fail. Plus that (from my experience) Signets its not for supporting builds
exept if u aim for aura share ( but then u will not be very efective by your own )

I have 0 points in Arcana , only one cantrip (and some times none) and 3 signets. I run S/F and its a very entertaining build. I have almost perma fury and swiftness and a bonus of protection (12 sec). Sure its harder to play than a d/d build but its much more fun. Focus its a really awesome weapon if you can understand the synergy that offers when you have a scepter. I must admit that i have never put a single point in arcane even when i run a D/D and i can survive and win in the most fights 1v1 (SPVP). I’m not a bunker ofcourse and i dont want to, its not the only way to play a successfull elementalist. And for the record i have 3000+ fights with my ele im not a starter. So the bottom line? Find the build you like, die a 1000000 times and learn to survive eventually. Its fun and u will be unique! ( sorry if my english is some how bad ! )
