1) I run in guild but I still use MF .. No one complains because I get the job done
2) If you are in an inactive guild, join an active one? Multi-guilding is possible!
Is it perhaps possible that you’re guild/party members does NOT run with magic find? Don’t you think that they are doing more than you? In other words picking up the slack.
Well it’s all good right, because they’re you’re guild members. Surely, in a big guild, at least 4 people are sitting in LA looking to run dungeons and waiting for you to show up. ( I am in a big guild btw, 300+ members 80+ online at primetime)
Agreed. The only people who are getting punished are bad players. I’ve run dungeons with other players loaded with MF and they were better players than me. If anyone was dragging down the group, it was me. The difference from having/not having MF is not enough to significantly affect the outcome. You could run a dozen dungeons, not knowing how much MF people had, and you wouldn’t notice a difference between one run and the next that you cold attribute to MF. Try it. I dare you. And then come back here and make the same argument with a straight face.
The common rebuttal against magic find is that, “I’m good enough to run dungeons so it’s okay for me have magic find,” “I don’t die anyways so I can run with magic find,” and some other versions of it.
What people are arguing is that magic find is a selfish stat. If you’re wearing a berserker, at least you’re dealing a bit more damage albeit being squishy. You could replace the magic find with some other offensive stat like crit dmg/chance or condition dmg/duration. That way you’re actually benefiting the group even though it’s only a little. It’s about maximizing you’re dmg – a bit more dmg is dmg nonetheless.
Please completely remove magic find from the game. Thank you.
Seriously, I literally fell off my chair when I found out there’s a increase drop stat in the game during headstart.
There’s no problem here. When someone alt-f4, they have to load the game, queue again then run back to the action across the map.
Think of it this way. Those players who alt-f4 don’t really wanna wvw, otherwise they wouldn’t waste their time just for a tiny repair bill. For example, doing map completion or doing JP (after I loot the JP chest, some dude started attacking, I alt-f4, mission accomplished I’m outta here).
Congrats. I’m probably around 70% for my dungeon master, but I’m having trouble finding people who wanna run those less popular paths.
Seriously, they better get on this NOW. I’m a daily dungeon runner, if I’m not in WvW, I’m doing dungeon runs.

I think all SE paths are broken right now. Anet is aware of it so we just have to wait. I’m still 5/6 on my SE set.

Don’t believe people when they say they don’t wanna win, everyone does, right?
SBI has never won a T1 match, so that’s our motivation right there. I actually think that SBI is in the best spot right now in terms of morale and motivation. We’ve never rofl stomp the T1 match – we are there but not quite there yet. So in our mindset there are still things to look forward to, polishing our coverage, winning a T1 match etc.
And you would be correct. I thought we already concluded that a large contingent of SBI are PVE players. It’s not even an excuse anymore, some pve content pops up we’re the first one there. JQ on the other hand has quite a handful of wvw guilds for reason we already know. I suppose they also went to pve.
Well let’s stop this QQ’ing about this as I was just pointing out what the comments on the previous pages are about.
It’s amazing that that all SBI BL and EB has a queue. I thought our crew would get demoralize, but no we didn’t give up. Also kudos to IoJ, I still see plenty of you guys on every map.
Anyways I hope it doesn’t happen but I think it’s just a matter of time before the “we didn’t show up that’s why you caught up,” “did you really think you could come back if our player didn’t go PVE,” and over 9000+ other varieties of comments. I really hope this doesn’t come to this.
Just tried path 1, wasted 1 hour of my time. The grenadier waves doesn’t stop even after 20min. We tried kiting 1 mob but in the end our kiter couldn’t get to us because the grenadiers spawn like every 5 seconds.
I can barely find people who wanna do SE, now I probably wont find any.
SBI also had outmanned buff on SBI BL from morning to about pass afternoon. It’s really nothing compared to JQ 24/7 primetime.
