Isn’t that why people are complaining? Because of luck, the RNG. Someone who spent 10x the effort as you cannot get the item he wants, while you who put in a fraction of the effort got it?
I have to say I did expect more considering the time it took them to release the tool. I just can’t shake the feeling that there’s a double standard that is going between casual runners and speed runners regarding the “play how you want” notion.
(edited by Yenn.9185)
Again, people are missing the point of the LFG tool.
It’s not there to help you find the best possible group according to some standards. It’s there to help you socialize.
If you are trying to use it to filter out “bad” players, you are using it wrong, and it’ll be useless to you. Just stick to lfg-ing in map chat as much as you like.
This was commented on above, so people that want to be efficient are not allowed to make LFGs? Only casual groups are allowed?
Why?
It’s a tool that doesn’t differentiate between casuals and hardcore.
If you want to make groups that promote intolerance, there’s always the lfg website that everyone was using until now.
The tool does differentiate between casuals and hardcore. It was by Anet’s design to exclude features that would otherwise help some to party with people they chose to.
The LFG site is now out of the question because why would hardcore need to use a resource that is similarly available in-game.
I’m close to 60%, and it’s getting really slow.
Those people didn’t meet his “standards” and joined his party regardless. Kicking them is not elitist because he clearly stated what he expects to those who joined HIS party. The other 4 members have to abide by his standards the moment they join HIS party.
You need to look up the definition of ‘elitist’, because restricting or excluding a majority based on standards ‘you’ set, is near exactly how it reads.
Thank you. I was going by the connotation of what I think the meaning of that word, not the literal definition of it.
At this point, I don’t even wanna hear the “play how you want” argument. Clearly casuals can have casual runs without restriction, and yet speed runners cannot have speedruns with restrictions.
Those people didn’t meet his “standards” and joined his party regardless. Kicking them is not elitist because he clearly stated what he expects to those who joined HIS party. The other 4 members have to abide by his standards the moment they join HIS party. Kicking won’t be necessary if they knowingly joined and met his standards.
^^ Amen, those silent runs were actually the best. What I do is stay quiet, act all elitist, and be the first one to take off when we’re running.
@OP They said they said they’re going to add it apparently in that one twitch video.
The elitist attitude is out of control. Kicking people because they don’t live up to your standards is ridiculous. If you want a professional group for speed runs, or for easy-mode gameplay, then organize one without random players.
Kicking people because they can’t read the description is ridiculous?
Merge party needs to go because it is “force.” A party cannot say no if another decided to merge with them. My main reason being that different parties have different goal on how to finish the dungeon. You have “zerkers only,” “80s only,” “speedrun,” etc. A party will merge out of desperation to fill is a very likely case which will cause disagreement for the entire group.
I think they should implement a feature to judge PuGs competency. Gear/build check, lifetime # of runs per path, etc.
inb4 that’s “elitist”
Why don’t these players who get “kicked” ever think to print screen?
Of what? The loading screen?
Every time I have to take out an expensive sigil or rune, I use black lion and usually get 2-3 ecto.
^^ Way to start the qq so early. By tradition, first 10 posts needs to be positive.
Good luck to SBI, YB, and BP
Can someone fill me in on how SBI is supposed to move to t2? Apparently if the scores stay relatively the same, SBI is supposed to hold rank at #13. Of course this doesn’t show what’ll happen next matchup or after that. Real question, just curious.
I agree with OP. At this point, it’s just pointless clicking.
You’re only level 21; give the game a chance.
You can’t expect to be given everything. You actually have to do some work.
I don’t know what “fair and square” means. If you meant you guys have more numbers before this week, then yes.
Ok seriously sbi, you guys are starting to get annoying. Saying all this smack talk cause you guys had a bunch of new transfers. You guys tend to go ONLY for bp alot of the times and dh is just sitting there. Tired of seeing all these sbi people saying stuff like Ganellon did. I dont like sbi server because you guys are acting like this and all i see on forums are lies about how nice your server is. You are turning into maguuma when they came on to bp’s la to recruit for their server cause they felt so high and mighty for coming in 2nd place. Its old and ridiculous.
+ I do not wanna see any1 comment about “oh but bp does the same thing.” I only see zara, and the others are just sbi.
I thought logic says you focus on server that is the bigger threat. Last matchup when we lose to BP, we tried to put pressure on them to prevent them from pulling away too far.
You may be confusing yourself between critical chance and critical damage. Even if you didn’t add any precision, there is no way you’ve never crit.
I’m not sure if you can distinguish critical hit from normal in combat log but it should be very clear if you crit during combat.
There is no point in taking screenshots at the beginning of dungeon. It shows you’re in the party but doesn’t show what led to the kicking, maybe just a terrible player or actually trolls who kick for profit or let guild members in.
Obviously I have no proof, but imho there’s also no point in reporting. I got into habit of adding party members to friends list and if I get kick I block them. I do check my block list once a while, and those who kicked me are still active to this very day. Maybe they got a puny 6hr temp banned. xD
Well if you actually reported instead of making a qq thread then something might actually get done.
I really like to believe that something “gets done,” but it’s just hard. Someone mentioned that reporting is a “make you feel good” tool, and I agree. It’s understandable that some have lost faith and the only thing they can do is vent their frustrations in forum.
Maybe you know someone who got punished, or at least warned, for kicking at the end of dungeons?
Out of curiosity, what exploits are you referring to? The only 1 I can remember is Arah p3 2nd boss. I haven’t done fractal in a while so apparently there are new exploits there?
Also, challenge yourself to run past trash mobs. I have already succeeded in your challenge few months after the game came out.

-Watch the videos sticky here at dungeon subforums.
-I’m assuming that you have at least the cash to get rare gears, so use those until you get exotics.
-Probably the easiest explorable dungeon is CoF path 1. Experienced PuGs usually finish this in 10 min or less.
-Dungeons are typically run in, stack, then dps it down quick. That’s how speedruns are done. Of course there are other gimmicks but those are easily done.
-There are 3 paths on every dungeon (Arah has 4). One of them is usually easy/fast, one is hard/long.
-Dungeons can be done in any class but speedruns have a meta.

They get fed up with this topic because these are the same people who respond to every thread in the dungeon subforum. Basically what they want you to do is shut up and take it up to Anet because you are making us look bad. The generalization you made is referring to the “community,” which rightfully so, includes them.
Honestly I don’t take think it’s a widespread problem but it does happen. Happened to me in fractals.
^^ PuGs could say the same to you.
Probably not. There are a lot of server that not nearly as full. This is not a problem for PVE anyways because you can guest.
I think the League of Legends community is dire need of players like you. You definitely won’t see a shortage of cursing. Likewise, the community is more tolerant to foul language.
Not unless they return the tokens AND 26 silver per character per completion. I think 26 silver and tokens could be enough to persuade players to do easy dungeons like CoF1 or CoE. I mean there’s never too much tokens when you have 8 80s lol
Why didn’t you wait? They said they’re releasing a way to craft precursor. Instead you took a gamble that didn’t pay off. Sadly most of the time, mystic forge will end badly.
No. Rampager is still far behind berserker in output.
It would be great if condition damage wasn’t so far behind critical damage.
Berserker builds do give up damage mitigation, whereas condition builds have 1 defensive stat (due to stat allocation on gears) even if you go full offensive. In addition to utilities (prots, wall, blind, etc) condition builds are inherently sturdier. As neko said, it wouldn’t be fair for condition builds to do as much damage while retaining 1 defensive stat. Of course, they can replace that 1 defensive stat into offense and make condition builds do as much damage.

I still can’t solo lupi on phase 1, not reliably. That kick has so little wind-up time which is really kitten ing me off.
Bring in the Gear Check! I seriously hope Anet implement this feature, even though they said they won’t. I won’t run dungeons with players that are not at least half zerker.
3D video or it didn’t happen.
I don’t do P1 because it doesn’t have waypoints :P
In other words, the tokens should be worthless after the event.
Is this a guild or just players contact list? Me Likey!
I hope they make most dungeons a little easier at least doable to the players who have no idea what there doing.
Bad idea. That’s why you have the open world pve for that. Dungeons are the hard content among the easy content guild wars 2 provide.
They are bumping the rewards for story mode in case some are interested in that.
What about me? I’m on full CoF gear. Or I might just go in with full Arah set + glowing capacitor + DM title. That should give a bit of credibility, right?
At ease farmers, you have other ways to earn money and I bet you’ll figure out the next alternative very quickly. Whether it will earn you more or less gold, we’re about to find out.
This is not about daily, right? Nope, it’s about the gold.
All the bad players that only do cof are about to spill out into the other dungeons
No, they’ll just stop running dungeons completely and whine about it on the forums.
This. CoF P1 farmers are just that, farmers. If running variety of dungeon paths doesn’t yield profit, they’ll just go somewhere else.
If you guys use the same computer, it’s entirely possible. Don’t let it get in between you two though. I don’t wanna start a brawl lol
You sure that your friend didn’t use your account as a proxy? I was about to contact support earlier this month, but after hearing that they can’t help anyways I didn’t bother. xD
Come on, I love zerker warriors. In fact, I love anyone in berserker gear.
I will PM when I get in the game, but how active is the guild? I’m speaking of minimum/maximum representing members and how often you guys run.
I’m strictly speaking gold/hour, so I’m not assuming that everyone has all day to play/farm the game. If you farm CoF1 for 2-3 hours per day, but instead run different paths (after the update) for also 2-3 hours, we could be looking at a not-so-different farming profit. Of course, there are factors like how fast the run is etc.
I would probably consider soloing lupicus a skill. It takes a reasonable amount of time for 1 player to do it and it takes practice. One obstacle is that players get better. At first it might take you a while to solo lupi, then at the end really easy. At that point, skill per reward would be out of scale since, after doing it lots of time, soloing lupi would be like walking in Lions Arch.
I like this kind of farm. Now I can finally hop on to my engineer, necro, and ranger.
First, we still don’t if the gold/hour on dungeons will significantly drop. If you just want money, this is a not a dungeon issue but a farming issue. Players who only farm 1 path will be the most affected, but those that really run different paths are less affected.
