Its called Ring of Warding. It’s the 5th Skill on the weapon side of the bar. Before this was found, a staff was used and you could spam 1 and do the same thing.

I tired it many times with My IME. Nothing shows up nor does it translate English letters (when paired properly) into the right kana/kanji. If down the line I meet JP users… I’d love to communicate to them…I’m beginning to wonder if I need to move to an Asian world to do so much how GW 1 forced us to get out of American districts to do so. I do not want to Leave Tarnished Coast. This needs to be fixed so it works everywhere in game and also have us get guesting active so we do not need to move to another server to play with JP players (if necesary).

Hers something that is pure profit, savage all lv 68+ heavy armor and metal based weapons, and farm all mithril nodes on every character. Next buy only t 6 dust (you need 5 each time) and get one ori ore piece. Throw all of your mithril into the mystic forge and get your 10-20 ori each 250 mithril. Now sell it. Rinse and repeat.

250 mithril ore + 5 t 6 dust + 1 ori ore + 6 philosopher stones.

I found out eventually you can pickup invisible goods and money you bought/earned during the buggy moments.

There is a chance a foe will spawn on the coral things and bug up Trehearne and the troops.

I never got my 15 silver (before taxes) nor my 2 smooth scales I bought.

Its not. I think its intended but can be cumbersome when you use a high cool down elite and can’t use whirlpool and used Greater Elemental or vice versa.

There is no flag to differentiate enemy npcs from friendly. So they all get treated as foes. So “foes” can’t enter or leave the ring.

My guardian is unable to be logged into now.

I can’t even try to get the runes for my guardian to make her 15 and 18 boxes

The TP ate my Major Runes of the Krait shotly before that. I lost 15 silver out of stuff I made for free.

The doors in dredge haunt cliffs, once opened, act like they are still closed and when you try to walk through them, it pushes you out along with a bugged fall scream like I’m sliding down a steep slope backwards.

Note: You cannot get the chest and can only enter to fight the veteran that is spawned at random. If he knocks you back or you dodge out, you also can’t renter.

Old news. Also there was a bug where you could get a fully nude character with another race’s cultural armor that was fixed silently.

ANet has such a nice system in place at the very start of the game, where things run in an instance, with a “blocking” event that keeps people busy until a certain amount of players has entered the instance and then proceeds.

They should simply use a similar system for these events, and making the instance available for a certain amount of time that allows players all over the world to do it (once per account) at a suitable time.

Oh, in the tutorial areas you mean? Like the human one where you have to fight centaurs at the gates for a little bit?

This needs to exist on all big content to prevent the massive amounts of lag and people.

I could hardly do any of the stuff except for the first two parts of the scavenger hunts (when they worked) when part 3 came around, I just gave up and refused to participate (and missed out on the loot), Why? Because I do not have a machine that can handle all that lag or 100s of players piling up in one area. It will be more trouble than its worth to try to get an 200g item!

This event was far worse than Halloween! At least I could barely function with the lag from that.

So for us with the worst machines barely getting by on Gw 2, how about you make an npc like after halloween that just gives us the bag and random precursor (one per account)?

No, people are complaining that Anet built a new set of content that actually encourages this behavior.

The general idea behind Anet’s design philosophy before this patch has been to encourage teamwork and helping out your fellow player. Yet, for some reason, they decided that creating a dungeon that fractures the playerbase (this was part of the complaints revolving around the Ascended gear, and this is something that I knew would happen, but nobody wanted to listen) was a good idea, despite the fact that it flies in the face of what this game was meant to be, from day one.

Not once since beta 2 or 3… No one ever parties up with you unless you nag over and over in map chat especially in the three maps of Orr (took me forever to get help to finish the first two maps and I’m waiting for this new event to die down to even have a chance to get help on the final one and Arah dungeon story). Guilds don’t even do it either. They treat you like kitten and tell you to play a new easier class (guardian/warrior lol) or L2P solo. For dungeons, its required, for maps? No so much.

Encouraging teamwork and helping out your fellow player isn’t the same thing as creating formal groups.

Yep. I need the teamwork and having people help me out part. I get enough social stuff with Role Playing in the taverns of Divinity’s Reach. Never was my complaint there or in any thread on here.

Firstly, that’s a lie. People are even willing to group with non-80 lvl to do fractals. No one mentioned about full exotics.

Secondly, exotics are not that hard to get. You should have enough karma to buy three items in Orr right away as you hit 80. Also you can gett full rare items from TP for around 1,5 gold.

There will be only ascended rings and back items for now. So you still wanna have exotics as your end-game items.

Running around in lvl 60 blues and not wanting to spend some time and money on uprading your gear is your problem.

I have full Rare lv 80 light armor thank you and it was made for me when I provided the materials. I have also full lv 80 master work jewelery and green (lv 80 staff) rare (lv 80 wvw daggers) and exotic wepons (a tident that is lv 78).

1.5 gold is a lot for someone with only 8-10 gold on their ele. Orr is too hard not because its difficult, its because it annoying (re-spawns just after you killed them, CC, maze like areas, poor map design) costs too much to repair/move around compared to drops/chest loot and can be too laggy in the zergs trying to get that armor.

Making rares or exotic at tailor and jeweler 375+ is too expensive now to be worth it being that ectos are even higher than ever. Its more economical to sell unneeded rares and exotics than to salvage.

Why can’t anyone be nice and just take the less fortunate along? Oh wait, there is guilds for that, yet said guilds have the same people like you.

How about all of us that are not up to par with your standards quit the game 100% and you have no one but yourselves? We outnumber you in population here, I guarantee it.

Too bad I left a useless guild and left all my candy corn in it…

Yet its 94 keys I’m looking at here I’m needing to clear out all my black lion chests. I can probably farm enough blues and whites to do it with only the cost of the wraps and map travel.

Is this a permanent feature or will it be gone come Monday?

I really find it much cheaper than gems for black lion keys.

No you don’t get it.

I can’t even load any models for more than 5 minutes after arriving then for another few seconds when I start moving to a new spot. I’m running a laptop with a crappy 1.68 ghz dual core apu. My ram and Graphics are fine though. I see invisible objects and mobs everywhere. I’m practically fighting blind if its not for the name labels. The lag comes after when I run into 30+ people and 10 or more foes in a small area. It used to occur in wvw, now its everywhere, yet I don’t die in low level maps obviously.

As for play style I’m usually dual dagger, but I will use a staff on mobs you can’t even get close to. I’m not that stupid yet that first time there I was unprepared anyways and tried to jump into a stack of lv 84s with daggers. I felt very stupid. My lag and unable to render anything didn’t help either.

The dungeon and new map will stay.

I see a lot of posts saying “It’s an MMO, get other people, blah blah blah”. That’s not what an MMO is supposed to be about.

What if all starting areas were like this? Would you play the game? Would you enjoy being 2 shotted by a Wurm or a Moa? Absolutely not. I do understand that the Karka are supposed to be a challenging enemy, however, saying “Play like me because I’m better than you and I can do it and Karka aren’t hard /troll” doesn’t necessarily make me want to play the game. The karka should be a fun experiences for all players, of all classes. An ele got 1 shotted by the dreadful volley those Karka have. Do you think it’s fun trying to kill something like that, only to have to pay a waypoint fee and repair your armor right afterwards?

I play a warrior, and I can kill the Karka, but it’s too risky to spend my time killing an enemy that has a super high defense, and an even higher attack. Its extreme risk for little profit.

IMO: This event is a waste of time.

This is my problem as I’m an ele, yet with practice, I may be able to do it. The real problem is more of a technical one.

Its a good map to start doing what I wanted since release, to party up and have actual difficult fun… but my machine just can’t handle the map renders and closely packed players and mobs so I’m dead before even they start to render… If I had a good machine, I could at least get behind a few mobs with my dual dagger set up. No thanks Anet. I’ll come back when I can afford to run the map on a new tower.

As for the damage, it is very insane and may need some spacing issues of mobs handled.

I just lag up and instantly die to WTF? damage from the lv 84 mobs. I’m lv 80 ele with rare lv 80 armor and master lv 80 accessories.

I look at the combat tab and it says 2600 5000 1600 in damage numbers… I have only close to 13k hp on my ele. She is built into power, precision, and toughness…

The problem is that it should apply to zero dungeons.

Why? This is part of PvE content of a MMO, PvE players like to get gear upgrades. If you don’t like PvE why are you even running dungeons?

I only play the game to 100% THE MAP and get the titles/achievements. I will not do a dungeon after it says its done on my hero tab. So this statement above doesn’t apply to me.

The dungeon and new area will be here to stay. Just the events leading up to its establishment will not be.

I’ll never get to do this kitten then as I do not have a machine that supports dungeons too well.

I’m going to do it anyways as I have no use for my karma and I’m going to try and do that.

I was seeing everyone and everything invisible until 10 minutes in and at first no sound or anything I couldn’t move and was dying. Then when people finally spread out I was still unable to use skills properly and the sound was skipping and lagging.

I know my laptop is horrid for this, but people with even better set ups were doing very bad as well.

My cute as hell guardian uses a greatsword and a hammer.

They fix a few minor bugs I hardly noticed on my ele and really didn’t care either way. I’m boon switcher and really don’t care for the staff trait fixes.

And I look forward to the new gear tier as it will be easier to get than exotics as I am unable to even afford anything but making my own rares.

I agree with Doctor Overlord and its juts not possible with today’s youth and mentality, Yet we all know about the game Second Life and how they have special areas that are designed for TTP or sexual content. Second Life was so huge, or gotten so huge that it was the feature of a murder mystery on a CSI: NY Episode.

For all intents and purposes, GW 2 could add a more SIMs 3 mechanic to the game but then we’d have to watch more than health bars…

OP, there is fable/fable 2 Elder Scrolls series for that. Go play that. Anet can’t cater to everyone its too much money and you’d be looking at a 100 GB game (the game is already 30 GB to install from scratch) if everything everyone wants existed. If they could do what you want it would not be Free to Play after buying the initial box to run it.

I can see you’re a more tabletop RPG or role player. What happened to imagination and joining Tarnished coast server? We already do past what the limit of the game has. You don’t need all the flashy goodness you described to even do this. i for instance Play a ele that is a Mother and a guardian that is her daughter. They have pretty complex lives as well having to deal with their family matters with out any male heirs and dealing with the dragon threat. I made it work with Anet’s limitations. If there was a way to have a child, I would like that at least so she can fulfill her desire to begin her family a new.

But if your imagination isn’t enough and you need physical substance in this game then this is not for you go play a console RPG like the ones I described.

I seriously doubt anyone is going to play house (farming, owning a house, and raising a family while the world burns) with you besides the occasional RP. This is not the game and dynamic structure for it.

I don’t see a problem with it. I love gaining levels as long as its as easy as it is now. Why should we complain when its 1-2 years from now. I get bored if there is no more level gains. The skill point gaining thing after lv 80 (and 20 in gw 1) is what makes me happy about GW series. I still can gain a “level” for all my kills. I won’t mind even if there is a new cap to 90 or 1000, I will still play because it makes what I do worth something, by killing bad things in the world that I’m in, mean something. This is why I stop playing most normal RPGs. You hit your level cap and you gain 0 exp in random battles, There is no other use for exp. A lot of other older mmos do this too and I stop playing. What to level again? Go reroll!

I’m am exactly what the OP describes… I really don’t care for legends atm as I do not have the gold to do it nor a job to buy gems out of game to get the money in game to get one. I do want a legendary in the future, but its not feasible atm. I currently need enough money to fill-in all recipes in every craft or enough of them to be able to make the precursors and lower level stuff for my alts.

As for guilds, I never gotten into a guild that cared or wanted to help me on all the content or just party for fun. This is what I really want at this time. I am always wasting money in the game because I have to do it all myself and I struggle badly.

It’s like with GW1’s obsidian set, just done a bit earlier. The relative price of obsidian armor set, the most expensive and prestiguous set of the game, was very high in the beginning when ectos used to craft it cost over 20k a piece. Then, after some updated, new skills, consumables and stuff, new builds came up, making farming ectos pretty easy and they fell as low as 4,5k a glob. The amount of globs needed to craft the armor was the same all the time.
So someone who got their obsidian set ‘early on’ payed over 4 times more than someone who bought their set when ectos fell down – because of game updates. Sure, not as blatant as we are supposedly about to see now, but still it were the devs who drove the relative price of obsidian down, in a way.

What can be done about it?
Completely nothing.

But!
You craft legendaries for your own fun, first and foremost, and your own sense of accomplishment. If i were someone who has crafted a legendary already, i would feel even more accomplishment and showing-off rights knowing that i got it when it was harder. I could even boast that ‘back when i got my legendary…’.

This. I did this with Gwamm HOM (all 50 points) and Survivor. I never used Discord way or those cheap kitten builds you see on that piece of kitten PVX site. If I used a few, I made the builds before anyone knew about the builds (used them before they were cool) such as splinter barrage and SoS spammer.

Its kinda of the same thing kudos to those that did it first the hard way,
