Guild Wars 2

What I specialize in and who I need to add to the guild for officers.

I do dungeons regularly yet I stay clear of fractals because of my machine being bad there (lag and failure to function). I plan to get people that know how to do/specialize in each thing so to make it as friendly and smooth as a micro community as possible.

I will need experienced and helpful players (no kitten/jerks/kitten) in each of these areas:

-Crafting, Mystic Forge, and BLTC.
-Dungeons (normal): Story and Explorable
-Dungeons (fractals): Any level but progression lv 1 minimum.
-Holiday Events and Dynamic Events
-Map Exploration (includes all of Orr)
-Personal Story
-RP
-SPvP and TPvP
-WvWvW
-At least one commander.

As your leader, I’ll be trying to get as versed in as many things as well, So far I can do Ascalon Catacombs and Cadecus’ mansion near flawless and I can do most of the human storyline without difficulty. I also have 4 skill level 300 or higher crafting disciplines on two of my lv 80 toons and plan to have two more on my third and fourth with the goal of having every recipe unlocked to make anything for my subjects.

As a roleplayer, I also know the rules and how to roleplay pretty well on this server with two of my toons with very established stories in character.

The Premise:

Tired of being kicked from parties for playing the wrong class (engineer/necro) or being told you’re not good enough? (L2P!) Tired of being told you must have a lv 80 with full exotics or ascended gear when you don’t even know how to even get a single gear of that level? (Must be “this geared” to play with us!)

Are you also sick of dying over and over in Orr (all three maps) and having no one to come to your aid (as much as you try over /map) to help you navigate the map to 100% it?

Then we are here for you. We do not discriminate and we do not force you to play a certain way, nor do we tell you that GW 2 is an easy mode in PVE and you can just solo it all, or tell you to L2P! We do not hold your hand, yet we do teach you in a concise and caring manner and play alongside with you as we strive to make this community better, one player at a time!

Other info:

Solely a PVE and RP based guild. The RP is themed to players with characters with tragic lives and broken souls. Basically a bunch of tragic hero types with a tinge of emo. RPing is not mandatory and is not required in guild chat as guild chat is OOC (out of character) only. Once I get a much more powerful computer (may be in a month or a year depending on economy and employment options) I will decide on starting WvW and organized sPVP. It doesn’t mean you can’t do it yourself or with other member. I just can’t with my technical problems/limitations and you should expect me to.

The guild is for those that need a fresh start or just joined GW 2. Our focus as a guild is to provide a non biased approach to helping you play the game and get gear and other things. We may not hold your hand but rather help you along by teamwork not throwing you to the wolves and expecting you to solo everything as most guild currently do.

We also expect to not force you to do anything you don’t want to. That means even staying in this guild only. I do recommend you stay active and in this guild only to help it grow but I won’t hold you to it or kick you if you join 4 other guilds.

Soon to be added are a bank and guild buffs. I just need more time to gather the gold to just buy influence.

Stance on Amenities and flashy stuff:

I do not partake in making forums, using vent, mumble, or even team speak. I do not have the money to run my own servers for those and even if I had the cash, I do not need them as I firmly believe as a guild, we can build a better bond that those that do use those things can never have.

An example of this being my first guild in GW 1, known as Falling Angelz [FAZ]. We never used any VoIP software/clients as we had an unbreakable bond of friendship and camaraderie. Only when we had bigger alliances did we share/use their extra stuff that was already established.

If this guild is not for you, then don’t join. If you can bring your own VoIP server to the table I’ll welcome you and it in open arms. I feel that the extras are not needed to solve a big problem always around and never dying in GW 2, lack of community and helpfulness among peers.

I’m buliding up a guild all alone called Sorrowful Tyrian legends in Tarnished coast but I’m not the type to devote my time to things such as VoIP servers or clients or forums as I can’t afford it or figure it out and I’m very busy otherwise… Maybe if I can get another person to provide it along side?

Anyways, STL is based on something GW 2 clearly lacks, a solid community to help less fortunate players and those being bullied and left out in game because they don’t play solo or play how most of the population want them to play.

Unlike all you whiners, I do dungeons a lot with very good non jerk people. Its mostly AC and CM atm (as that is what has the easier to get exotics and the right stats for my toons) If you want I can start the other dungeons with you (story or EXP) guys that feel hurt and left out and I’ll be happy to take you along for other things in the game.

Only issue with me is that I just have a crap laptop full of lag and slow loads. So there has to be a bit of patience team work carrying of others through in. Yet I only care about helping others and being helped.

H&H will just make the population even less friendly. So its a no in that respect.

People get bored because they are the type of people that do not wish to invent new ways to have fun/play. If they can’t grind for stuff or do repetitive activities over and over or exploit something for their benefit, they complain or quit at the expense of others as I stated the true problem in the game in another thread to be:

If people can see the light and glory of that is GW 2 it will be a much better place for all.

As I said in my own quote, if one thing is buggy or not working for you, try a new thing or help others and make them not quit over the touting of, “GW 2 is not friendly! I’m quitting!”

Has anyone tried to get off their kitten and done something about Orr temples? I guess not because its not what pays gold. Be a good person for once and help players you selfish brats.

If I had a decent computer (I do not) I’d be getting people together to clear them out of you guys won’t. I know what’s wrong with the game and its not what most people complain about.

Now we know why people leave this game because no one cares to do stuff together as its not worth the Damn kittening money. Go run your Plinx and other similar DEs until no one is left to play with you. You should have acted earlier!

Grenth/Arah are most popular though as they have the best exotic armor part stats. Balkthazar has the sole material needed for some legendaries and they are 2000 karma each.

They are 42000 karma each. Also karma I used for every rare and exotic recipe in each craft I had. Those cost about 16k total alone to have them all in one craft. Rare pieces sell even today! Even if its temporary level up gear.

7 crafts (cook doesn’t have rare or exotic recipes) means 112k.

Karma is far from useless. Go out more help other needy players and keep them form leaving the game for once. Stop grinding in fractals! As it will be your fault not ANET’s!

Also, all the ways to make gold and do fun things, people just don’t do because they can’t realize its fun to try something new. So they complain when their old methods don’t work over and over.

I tried deleting my female human Mesmer and typed her name right and all, and it gave a GW 2 crash window.

Someone is messing with orders again and showing off their money by making orders for stuff that can’t be bought/sold.

is Twilight really worth 1350 gold?

If you want to do AC or CM I’m open to running them to gear all my toons with P/V/T exotics and Pr/T/C pr P/Pr/T exotic sets as well. i also need two PVT daggers for my ele and a PVT wand and Focus. I only am buying MF gear on the TP.

Holiday dungeons are the epitome of fun, they are nothing like the normal year round dungeons.

If you are having trouble with any “real” dungeons Feel free to hit me up as I’m learning to tackle each one eventually. So far, I can do Ascalon Catacombs and Caduceus’ Mansion flawlessly.

The very tight fitting GW 2 T -Shirt exists, but I think it was a staff only item. If not, I clearly missed it in the gem store since betas.

You know how great this will be for RP besides using a party? Just think of having a party with 3 role players and two non role players and you want to do stuff that the two non participants would not like to hear. It just can’t happen in party chat and say will be heard by everyone as well. whispers are unwieldy at best. This will work well for private RP and private moments in that RP.

They are no different then your Hall of Monuments Minis which are also Account Bound. They are supposed to be exclusive to you.

Its Wintersday! It happens every year and will be every year until GW 3 comes out and is automated just as it is in GW 1.

If you don’t get it all done this year, you’ll be able to participate next year and the following year after that until you get sick of wintersday and just not show up for it (like I have in GW 1 at times).

You obviously don’t have any patience. And the minis? They will be here next year as well. “Limited” is only in terms of being around for grabs for the 2 weeks, but you can show it off forever if you are lucky enough to get them.

If you want ascended gear to be distributed among other avenues, then this was not the update you were looking for (also you can quit if you’d like see if we care). Enjoy Wintersday everyone! The next updates in January and February (which may as much release Cantha or just new year celebrations) will be changes to ascended gear to all areas of the game and then some. They just fixed loot drops apparently, so lets go hunt some vets and champions!!

I run staff and switch between water (healing and single large packets) and raw damage (fire, earth) and air to move faster/pick off small weak trash. I’m traited to swap attunes to get boons and give boons/auras to others. So I’m a very powerful support/damage dealer.

Easy gold: farm mithril.

You can salvage every lv 60+ heavy armor, sword, great sword, hammer, mace and axe and also hit nodes in southsun and all lv 60+ maps.

Get 250 and sell at 50+ copper a piece. You get 1.25 g a stack. and it grows fast with a few hours of farming or casual play.

But really, take a look at the pix from any red-carpet fashion thing. People do not wear hugely poofed out skirts, or trenchcoats.

Their has to be some town clothing swimsuits and dancer outfits. With diving and dance abilities.

Have you been to Southsun cove? There is a very cute and sexy tang top a female human npc is wearing… we need that for town clothes or a toggle for our naked wear.

Embroidered masterwork for jute in tailor, its lv 20 only yet you cN transmute it to high level gear if you wish. Its sexy, yet its pants.

The only exotic one is in s/t pvp and you only get one. You delete it and its gone for good.

I like tight fitting and mostly covering clothes and also skimpy clothes like winged.

I want to see Elite Canthan make a return. As it is the sexiest non-revealing set because it just accentuates her curves and is very tight on her body. I wore it a lot in GW1 as one of my four main sets.

what serve are you on? I’ll do any dungeon with you on my ele yet I have to still get story done on everything between CM and Arah. so if you need that too, just whisper me…

The Fort Vandal is going to be the location for this entrance probably. If you look above its walls it guarded by all lv 80 champion cutpurses and other bandit types.

It works on blues as well found it out by accident with yellow weapons transmuted to a stronger blue (by a few levels). I have an account bound blue weapon in the mid 40s now.

I think they just fixed it as after the daily reset time (which resets rich nodes and normal ori) I only was allowed two strikes on my lv 6 asura and not all 10 hits. I got 2 ori from the rich vein and not 20 unless its 23 hours independent of daily achievement resets and I get only a normal node and everyone else gets their rich vein?

This price going up is ruining my idea for making ori out of useless mithril. I will have to farm endless amounts of tier 5 dust to make tier 6 dust to make ori. I won’t be using the T6 dust at all except for 20 slot invisible bags and safe boxes so I rather make ori that i need for all my toons’ weapon crafts.

Rare Crafted stuff is always worth 5-50x its value used up to make it. Crafted rares are lv 35 (tier 2) 50 (tier 3) 65 (tier 4) and 80 (tier 5) exotics are always 80 (tier 6)

Most of the reason even lv 35 stuff is so high in price, is that its because of the skin. Tailor and Armorsmith have the Masquerade and Gladiator skins respectively which are obtainable as low as wool and iron material levels. People will still pay upwards 50 silver for a masquerade skin as low as lv 35. This idea still sticks for weapons too. The best skins are the rare level.

As for jewelry its just because its rare level and has the best stats for that point in time.

I’m in emerald, daffodil, brick, lime ice, and winter ice dyed exotics transmuted into winged armor set.

What I wanted previously got me infracted as it was a true statement. So I guess I’ll settle for less lag in the main one time events/holiday events so all players can participate equally?

I remember the “Cutest” version of /cheer was more common until maybe a month or two ago when my females started “growing up” or something and had more mature emotes in /cheer. It now takes me 20 spams or more of the emote to get the result I like. I shouldn’t have to spam /cheer to get one type of effect over another. Why can’t we choose which voice actress and set of voices we want on creation?

Why is it so hard to get the very cute childish sounding one on my female toons? I like it because it fits their RP personality better than the other 4 more common variants.

Orr is just fine… I solo farm there often… wearing magic find armor and a magic find weapon with superior sigil of luck. It takes a little work to move through the zone… but I am a reaper, I kill everything in range, often attacking before even the acolytes aggro on to me. My mesmer barely bats an eye.

As long as you enter the zone intending to move through it like a warzone and not to be “left alone” for a sunday morning walk… you’ve got the right mindset for farming there. If you just want to be left alone and remain unmolested while you suck up everything the zone has to offer… try going someplace that isn’t in the middle of an open war.

Edit: I did forget to mention that I do feel the events in Orr need to be rebalanced to accomodate smaller groups of people. There is no reason people should have to spam for hours in map chat looking to get a group of 50 or more to take a temple. I was in Malchors Leap today working on map completion and solo’d some of the the Cathedral… but even after about 15 more people showed up seeing something was happening up there the boss was still impossible. Because while fighting the boss they also expect you to keep teams at each of the platforms (which become under danger so frequently that you can’t run between them fast enough to prevent the fight starting over.)

If that isn’t an acceptable solution to scale the events better… then give us underflows so that we can actually finish some of these massive events.

This I what I complain about almost every day. I’m fine pulling 3 or 4 foes at a time and moving through the maps alone albeit a slow pace, but when it comes to the champs/legends and these temples, there is no way in hell just my ele all by herself can free up a whole section of the three maps all by herself. GW 2 is soloable in Orr my smelly kitten hole! And I go to ask for help and I get the same answers, “Solo it!/Learn to play!/Go QQ somewhere else!”

We need underflows (or perpetual overflow) and a mass ban for all those that do not want to be helpful and join up to take down these temple bosses and rather be spiteful selfish kittens.!

I have 2 lv 80 and 3 other alts that will be 80 eventually. I do have fun on this game, but I also have pure frustration when the community just fails to be nice to one another (example: Orr) and give help and work together when it is needed. My only complaints until the bad presentation and lag fest of Lost shores was the abysmal community. Other-wise, I’m pretty content and will keep leveling alts until GW 2 closes up shop.

If you want a player that you can rely on to help you in almost everything (except areas I lag and freeze up in such as wvw and Southsun), you can drop by in tarnished coast.

I still leveled to 80 faster on my Guardian (3 days) compared to my ele (2 weeks) using crafting of two professions and 50% of the game’s maps + story on her up to A Light in the Darkness (still not done as its impossible on my guardian).

New friends and new Role Play opportunities with you’re a role player. Or trying to master every class and every weapon with all their kill count. Or collect all dyes. Or have people spam you with mail to get your mail box full to get that help feature achievement.

There is plenty to do if you like completing things or just having good old fun with others.

There was. Doing even events at lv 80 in low level maps reward half the exp they used to reward. It use to be 14k and now its 7 k.

I’m an ele with 30 in water magic specced mostly for boon swapping and dual dagger wielding, Yet in dungeons I am a ranged nuker. I tends to use my water attunement the most in the dungeon and thus I’m the designated healer. Yet even still, I don’t have to be forced into it yet I feel comfortable using my staff and my ele for that purpose.

They should just put the accounts in another server that are not active one that is hidden from view just to have room for new people.

This works because whites and blues go account bound when transmuted and greens and above go soul bound when transmuted.

Fungalstorm, I added you in game yet I’m offline in game atm to work on getting sources for a paper. So if you want to RP or just chat or do an older dungeon or two. I’m usually always on from 12 noon EST to 3-4 am the next morning if I’m not tired. I RP more in the late night hours.
