Okay, I know that nobody will believe me but I am gonna post it anyways lol

So I was doing some wvw and we ran into another group and we fought and blah blah blah….

Basically, I ran into an enemy with heavy armor (Warrior or Guardian) and he proceeded to punch me first. Now before you say anything, just keep reading.

All the character models were fully loaded and animated and he did not just punch me, but he also did a jump-kick which knocked me back. He had no weapon but was fully geared in armor and just kept punching and jump-kicking me until death.

As I have already stated, all the characters were fully modeled and animated so I am guessing that this was just a bug or something but it sure did not look like a bug lol.
This guy went straight karate on me with punches and kicks. I never seen that before.

I still think the best way to solve this is to just make the grind for cosmetics and not stats.

Make as town clothes that I will never use: don’t buy

lol that is one way to look at it because I would soooo buy every set if they were armor skins.

That is what makes me sad. I don’t understand why they even make town clothes at this point lol. If it is money they want then new armor skins is the way to go.

I threw the candy corn at the bloody prince thorn and he ran back inside his crypt or whatever. The game is still telling me to throw stuff at him and tassi is not saying anything. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

He ran away from me after I threw the candy corn but the game is still telling me to throw stuff at him. I am stuck here now and im not sure what to do next.

I´ll admit to having kicked a lvl 11 joining for AC.
I´ll also admit that one of the best and fastest AC runs I have had recently, was with a mixed group where 3 of the other players were between lvl 35 -48.

As someone else mentioned, I guess it is all about finding likeminded people.

I never had any issues with people wanting to do speed runs or lvl 80 runs.
If I am playing an alt below lvl 80, and I can’t find a group without level 80 restriction, then I just create one myself.

If someone has trouble finding a suitable group, then I would suggest doing the same.

I continually look for guilds to join but so far I have not found anything that interest me yet.

Just wondering if changing the game to a higher rating would have been beneficial to the emotional feel of the game. (Not looking at this from a business stand point but just to see if it would be more interesting)

Why? Well because I find it hard to see certain parts of the game as threatening or serious when the game cannot show the true horrors Tyria. Things like the nightmare court, Centaurs, the risen, and the combat just to name a few.

Story Examples:
There is an area where you can infiltrate an area that is part of the Nightmare court. They talk about torturing and breaking beings and you see simple things like some hounds that are imprisoned and it is explained that they are physically abused, but you never actually see any of this. Not even some cuts and bruises. (I have not explored 100% of the game so I don’t know everything about it)

Being able to see actual brutal destruction when you visit a town that was ravaged by the Centaurs. Not just a dead body but showing actual… err things that would better reveal how bad they treat Human captives or ones they have killed.

Showing the horrible experiments that the Inquest conduct so you can see how evil they can really be rather than just hearing them talk about it or seeing the aftermath (which is also toned down)
You can say that the risen themselves show what I am talking about but I mean more than just that.

Combat Examples:
I would feel more awesome as a Necro if I see the blood dripping when I bleed a foe and see them actually grasp for life if they are killed by my poison. (bad wording but you get my point)

If 100 blades kills your foe, it would at least show some blood flying in every direction.

If I am killed by a ballista, it should look like I was killed by a ballista lol

Oh, and ragdoll physics would be great. (Won’t affect the rating but I would still like that)

I know that this post may seem kinda confusing and all over the place but I just really wanted to get the idea out in the forums. It is just my opinion but I feel that the more grim parts of the lore would benefit much more if the rating jumped up a little.

Just a thought. When I hear some of the lore it seems like they really want to push out more mature ideas but they just can’t implement that into the game itself.

I also have combi with berserker,assasin and valkerie gear. this boost youre vitality to. It is a good way to ambush people in WvW and playing from distance. I am playing the ranger like 900 hours and i found out that i like this play style the most. Its really hard to master.. Why shall you think? because you need to know when te run back. Wich skills you need to use and dodge alot.

I use 30/30/10/0/0
This for survival skills that i use.
Longbow + Axe/Sword with Warhorn.

I hope you go for it because its very funny play style with huge dmg output.

I actually need a lil more survival with my build after my last wvw round lol

Do you have full berserker armor/weapons/trinkets ?
In my personal experience is a cool set up and very hard to master,
I usually use :

- Traits : 30/30/0/10/0 ( 1/10/11 – 4/10 – 5 )
- Utility skills : Signet of the stone- Signet of the wild- Signet of the hunt- Rampage as one
- Weapons : LB + GS
- Pet : Jungle stalker + wolf
- Food : + dmg + prec.
- Stack power

I use this set up only for ambushes, when I start the run I active the signet of the hunt ( +150% dmg for 17 mins ) and start roaming around.

When fighting : pet F2 ( might ) —> rampage as one --> Signet of the wild —> auto attack --> signet of the hunt —> rapid fire, at this point if the target has a low armor/vit hes probably downed, if not, you should hurry up, otherwise you dead, you can use wolf F2( fear) signet of the stone and heal as one, LB 3 + 4, GS 3 +4, but they will not keep you alive for long.

Usually the fight ends after 10/15 seconds.

I was always afraid to play a berserker guardian but I guess it is worth a try, especially since my damage is pretty bad atm.

Okay so I spent everything I had on a berserker type ranger and now after hearing different things, I feel like I just messed up

Anywho… I am not very skilled for up close and personal fighting yet so I try to stay ranged with LB. I have a GS just in case I can’t get away but I never win lol.

I always go to our BL so that means either small scale fighting or running alone. So what would be a good build to work towards for that?

So while 2 others and I were trying to take a camp, a thief came in and took out my teammates. I was about to be killed (slow reflexes) when this warrior came in and totally destroyed him with his hammer. Is our hammer as useful? I do not normally see guardians with hammers but I really want to. The attacks are very slow though.

So I have been playing for a year now but my skills are… lacking lol. Anyways, I found out that part of the problem wast that I never focused on one class. So atm I have chosen to stick with my guardian.

With that said, I would like advice for gearing up my guardian for small-scale/solo WvW
Currently I have:
Full PVT gear and Lyssa Runes (Love the Runes)
Greatsword and Staff
Shelter, Judge’s intervention, Purging flames, Contemplation of Purity, and Renewed Focus
0, 0, 20, 20, 20
Everything is exotic except for a ring I looted.
Note that I am not a very skilled player so try not to go off on my for any mistakes you find here.
I only have about 3 gold atm.

Been running around alone in WvW and PvE alot lately and thought I should just post this thread to see if I can fix this :P

I am not looking for a perfectionist guild but for one that is focused more on fun. I do a little bit of everything except spvp. I have no mic so it does not make sense anyways.

If I get a GoM guild then I would enjoy defending our BL and doing PvE
If I get a guild from any other server, then it would just be PvE (Open world, dungeons, ect)

If it is not a WvW guild then I would prefer a medium size guild in order to get to know everyone.
