Artificers can upgrade them at no cost, so you dont need to click through your stacks of blue essence.
I got 10k green weapons from the trading post and salvaged them after the patch. If i remember right, i ended up with around 30 stacks of blue essence. Upgrading those saved me alot of time consuming it.

It is not about clicking all of them. I just have not used them up. I tend to hoard certain items for very long periods of time.

Make them class VENDORS, and allow the player to retrain their own traits. Half the time I go to retrain I hit the books instead by accident, its annoying.
Without all these complaints, the devs would have to guess at what would be best for the players.
On that same token, posts of “This content sucks” or “X and Y are too hard, please nerf” aren’t helpful at all.
Even though it may not be constructive, it still gives a tiny insight of what some of the players (many or few) feel. I know that some of these threads can be very ridiculous but they still offer a tiny sense on how some of the community feels about certain content.
Agreed it does offer some tiny insight if they mention what. But then they don’t come back when people request further explanation. The point is without the information and further clarification not much can be done about it.

Seriously? First of all, if you buy a product there is nothing that says you are not allowed to complain about it. Even if it was free it does not mean everyone should keep quiet if there is something they do not like about the game. Sure there are people who may go to extreme lengths when they are not happy about something, but it still shows the devs that there is something that can be improved or changed or considered during the next update.
The WORST people are the ones who don’t say anything or only praise everything that happens. If you are not happy about something in the game but you don’t say anything about it, then it won’t be fixed or improved. Without all these complaints, the devs would have to guess at what would be best for the players.

i have played hundreds upon hundreds of games and i have NEVER seen a quest as stupid as picking up snowballs and throw them at npcs. The imagination that went into this quest in particular is insulting at best. and im not even talking about the abysmal writing/voice acting because that a completely other story. you can defend it as much as you want but i have done my personal story, done enough stupid hearts to know how pathetic they ALL were.
Okay so you have some sort of deep inner feelings about snowball throwing (childhood accident maybe) but if you are in an area where there is no immediate danger or terror, like orr, then it makes sense for there not to always be tasks that require some crazy and intense killing.
this is why so many are asking themselves why is the whole map so fluffy, happy and ready for festivals. Its like there’s nothing serious happening EVER. This game is rated T for teen while there’s tones of games rate E for everyone that are much more serious and not as kiddy. If i had to guess, i’d say this game (by that i mean the quests/story/LS/npcs and not gameplay itself) is aimed at 8-14y olds. Even a 16y old would laugh at quests such as picking up snowballs and throw them at npcs, its mediocre.
The festivals and the snowball thing does not make it kiddy. You can have those things in any type of game. You don’t need it to have constant slaughter for it to appeal to an older audience. I do agree though that the npc dialogue and certain outrageous content (cow shooting machine) can be pretty childish. Actually, the entire Charr race is childish (even though I find it funny and interesting).
Since I paid for the game I kind of feel like I need to get as much out of it as I can. It is not a good reason but that is how it is . If the game was free or if the game was like this in the very beginning then I would not be here now.
Doing so would invalidate the time people spend acquiring that gear. I think the heart of your post is in the right place, but what we would rather do is make possible for people to get the gear by playing WvW with a sprinkling of PvE, rather than the other way around.
I’ve already maxed two Guardians with full exotics. Warrior feels too much the same. I’m not new to the game and I’m wondering what would be the best for leveling besides Warrior or Guardian?

Also, even if it is the least played, just the fact that they put more or less effort into a race in the game just shows a lack of passion to me. Really lame if you ask me. It just seems like a very important thing that should not be taken so lightly.
A good guild always comes up with fun and new things to do in the game.
Such as what? Or are you just saying to hang out with friends? “Do random stuff with friends” doesn’t really have anything to do with GW2.

What is that the GW lore? Yeah I really don’t care about the GW story. When I play a fantasy game full of different creatures and species, I find it more interesting to try playing something different from what I already am in real life (Racial). Especially when it seems like everyone else is already playing Humans. It is just how I see it.
Being human is boring. The armor is terrible on Charr though. Whether or not not many players like them, the fact that the devs put less work into the Charr shows a lack of passion which I find very sad and ridiculous.
Even though I am not really in the same situation as you, I totally understand. Luckily for me though, I only strive for exotics and I spend my time playing with guilds, friends, and focusing on exploring and just goofing around.
It makes me happy that I am not a hardcore player. I have no problem with being an average-skilled, low-middle class(gold) player. Things like this don’t hit me as hard.
