How would you make it different from the huge world bosses we already have? Besides the player limit?
Exploring and interacting with the community. I like to roam around meeting others and discovering new areas. There is a ton of content and I will probably never be able to do it all. My slow playstyle allows me to enjoy the game much longer than many other players
I want more community related content that is focused more on the social aspect of the game. Im not sure what that could be but I hope we have more content that is like that. Maybe have like one huge area that is filled with all of the previous (and new) minigames and things. That way everyone who wants to do that sort of thing will all be in the same area and can find others to play with.
I don’t know. I went by the definition Anet gave when they explained it. It means that you can get to max level and max gear in a variety of ways. For example…
You can get exotic armor and weapons by doing WvW, or by doing dungeons, or by doing world events, or even just staying in a starter zone and doing dailies (though you’d eventually have to go to Orr to get the karma exotics with it).
That’s what Anet said it means in more than one interview. Why shouldn’t I believe them?
I’d say this is most accurate. You can max your character out through a variety of different avenues. Obviously no game can claim to let you do everything any way you want. I mean, what if I want to hit 80 by killing ambients? Should I be kitten Anet didn’t make this possible? Should I scream “BUT YOU SAID I CAN LEVEL ANYWAY I WANT!”? Nope. What if I want to level up by just doing TP transactions, or level up from number of whispers made.
Anet has to set parameters. I can tell you that the 3 level 80s I have were all leveled differently. My first was leveled through hearts and events, my second mostly from crafting and WvW, my 3rd was leveled also through hearts and events but in zones level 50 and below. I just got caught up in those zones and with scaling just jumped around lower level zones. Not sure why, I just did it that way.
My 4th character I’m duoing with my GF the entire way and has mostly leveled up doing the Living Story stuff exclusively.
I consider this being able to play my way. But what about the daily options!! They force me to play the way Anet wants me to play!! I hate rules!!
Dailies are optional people. Don’t try to claim Anet doesn’t let you play your way because the optional dailies are more structured. That isn’t quite what Anet had in mind when they said play your way.
What you two said pretty much sums it up
But now they look like they are holding their breath :s
okie dokie then
Umad? Yeah….
I don’t play like that…
can’t connect x.x
Hopefully they say something just so I know if this is something that I can fix.
I still have the problem
The dailies are so simple its not even funny :P I usually get 3-4 done while just randomly playing each day. Nobody needs to focus on them at all lol
So it wasn’t my imagination that their model had changed…
Yep, it really happened. Bad idea in my opinion :P
My guild taught me how to play better
I like the Charr and Asura dialogue though because I enjoy their humor.
I am pretty much the same way but much slower lol. It takes me forever to finish anything because I am easily distracted and will start doing something else in the game if something catches my attention lol. For me, this game is full of content I will never finish because my playstyle is soooo slow.
So I eventually noticed that they changed the faces of the lil Asura children. Well just the female ones. I noticed because now they are ugly as skritt. Seems weird as to why they even changed such a thing. I guess somebody complained or something?
They look like their face is swollen lol
^ that made me lol
I don’t actually get what you want. Not an insult I just don’t understand.
More communication? Join a guild.
Everyone working together? Join a guild.
More skills? I don’t know how to answer that.
It was pretty awesome
So I went to Lions Arch and lit a few fireworks of my own and well….
A ton of players flocked over to me in a mad dash, thinking it was the real deal.
I can’t even lie. I have not laughed like that in a while. It was not even the right time but everyone still fell for it
I ain’t trying to encourage troll-like behavior but that shiz was funny XD
That is your opinion. I don’t like the stiff wings in the video. The animation for the holo wings give life to them and I thinks its cool to see.
What’s uncanny and unfluid isn’t an opinion. Whats red is red, whats white is white, and its a fact that he wings animations don’t syngergize with the way player’s avatars move, which is why it looks uncanny.
Still a matter of opinion.
Ok buddy. you keep thinking that.
Dude, if you don’t like it then that is understandable. I don’t get why your opinion is okay but mine is not lol. But whatevs

I like it much better when the wings are flapping. The animation is neat! That is why I got them
I heard that you can. I really hope so because I already used mine and I can’t afford another
Be careful who you trust lol. Sorry but it is the guild leaders fault.
I don’t want to be a tree.
… there’s no reason to be re-exploring the open world on an alt since it’s no fun and zones are all dead.
This is where your entire post breaks down. The assumptions that every zone is dead and that no one could conceivably enjoy single player / small-scale multi player are wrong.
Uhh, no, it isn’t. Because no one does unless its their first character. Also, you can still enjoy dead zones at level 80.
Woah, way to generalize the entire GW2 population. I am on my 4th character and I still explore and do all the zones. I find new things all the time and my experience is always different. Oh and I have tons of fun.
Well now I am really interested, especially if they might become a playable race.
I never noticed the huge walls of this place until today. I was wondering if we will ever be able to go inside? Is it going to have some sort of importance soon? I really want to go in there :P
My computer gets an attitude whenever I go to Eternal Battlegrounds lol.
My hardware is not the best though :P
Currently mine is a guardian Asura
Everytime I try a new class it becomes my new main because I enjoy each one sooo much.
Wait!! Send me all your stuff! Let someone actually put it to good use.
Honestly, such posts never seize to amaze me.
You played this game for 2000 hours… what are you complaining about? That Anet can’t shove you a new content at the insane rate you consume it? You just nitpick really, any sensible person would see straight through your post, you are bored and you expect Anet to somehow magically revitalize your experience, despite you basically seeing every nook and cranny of their world.
You are done here, you won’t be getting expansion-worth of content every month (despite some Anet PR bullkitten), they can’t do it, especially not for people who fanatically play this game for hours upon hours every day and probably will finish whatever Anet throws at them short of a real expansion in half a day.
I now understand why all the content we’ve been seeing is temporary. It’s not a gift from A.net, it’s not the passionate work of designers who couldn’t care less about money – no, the sad truth is, it’s just an attempt to get people back in the game before the stuff expires. None of it is for the sake of lore or immersion, don’t let them bullkitten you – it’s the cold reality of a game that, like many, has turned rotten because of the desire of both developers and publishers to cash in on a product, rather than provide an experience worthy of remembrance.
Please… Are you really that naive? This game is not some sort of philanthropic project by NCsoft for kittened kids or something. This is business and NCsoft pays the bills and makes demand. And no, NCsoft is certainly not a bunch of passionate gamers. They are your usual bunch of people who want to make money.
Every game studio has their more passionate and less passionate crew, there are guys who are living and breathing with their “baby” game and there are those who just want to bring in paychecks home. In the end though, both of those cases need to get money from somewhere and this somewhere is an organization that wants to see profits and it’s their right, because as horrible as it may sound – you NEED them, without NCsoft, there would not be any Guild Wars as we know it.
This works both ways, on one hand people who do it for cash know that if the game fails – they will go down with it, but at the same time the passionate guys also realize that they can’t do whatever they want, because if it would be their way – the game would never come out to begin with and would have updates once in a millennium.
So yeah, this is the cruel reality and neither devs nor NCsoft can be blamed for it, because despite all their shortcomings they did pull out a great product with amazing value. And you can’t blame NCsoft for wanting to make money, that’s what they do and heck, in my opinion they do it in a good way, because they make stuff that let’s people have fun and does good.
Now banks on the other hand…
^ I pretty much agree with the points made here. That seems to be the reality of the situation.
Just like the others said. Your account is either compromised or you are standing in an area that is leveling you up automatically. Could be something else but I am not sure of another possibility.
-You can trade gold for gems
-You can grind for a while if you don’t have the gold
-You never have to actually buy the gems
-The skins are cosmetic and do not change the game in any way
I don’t see the problem here. Seems pretty fair to me
Not “without armor”. At 7 minutes in you have a helmet, shoulders and gloves equipped. Their appearance is just turned off.
^ busted XD
I have not heard of anything about that kind of thing. Maybe check the dev tracker?
Nice list. Apparently, I have much to do
Looking for a social guild for dungeons, bosses, and all that mess.
casual friendly and open to helping others when needed. I am on GoM.

Why is this topic still open?
What you crafted is the achievement, so…. yeah
No. What is the point when you are wearing gear all the time?
After 12 pages I think the question has been answered in every possible way…
When I add this trait, the weapon stats do not change. I am just wondering if it is working as desired or if it has no effect on damage output.
looking for a social fun guild in GOM for pve, dungeons, and wvw.
