Okay there is the link but the stats on the website seem much lower than what i get ingame(without outside buffs).

I wont be able to get that anytime soon so maybe i can just keep my armor and not run around by myself? I wont do anything solo.

Hi, so I finally hit 80 on my new mesmer the other day and I don’t think I have yet to win a single fight in wvw. I enjoy doing small scale and solo stuff since i spend my time defending my home. I am terrible lol I can admit to that. I took advice from many people as I made my build. I can’t really change anything atm when it comes to gear because i spent everything I had getting it all.

I like to use conditions and i currently have dire gear with torment runes. I have a staff with scepter and torch. If anyone is able to help me please let me know. I would love to learn this class and be some sort of a threat lol.

Seriously, you want AP to feel all elite and entitled? Do your dailies and play the game. Here’s a real gem card reward idea that makes a lot more sense.

Make the different amounts you pay give more than the one lower… Y’know. $5 for 400, $10 for 1000, $20 for 2400, $50 for 6200. Give a greater reason to spend more at one time, y’know like buying in bulk saves you money. This way you’re getting your ‘little extra’ for your money.

The good thing is, is that once you buy it, you will never need to buy one ever again. I bought all three of them and its great! Its nice knowing that I can mine, gather, or harvest until the world ends and I never need to visit a vendor ^^

So I remember I used to by a ton of them from a krewe apprentice after the generator mission for 8 copper. Now I only see him selling little inventory bags. Does anyone know if he does not sell them anymore? The only other way I know to get them would cost over one silver each and that is not good :c

You should go take a second look at the wvw forums because there are some major topics that should be listed here, like the balancing issues.

Also, I really think you should remove the consensus section of your post because the large amounts of bias distracts readers from the point of the thread(as I am sure you have noticed).

I am actually starting to understand that now. With the other classes, you can do pretty much any style and still feel and look like the class you are because the available armor choices mostly fit the look. I guess with all the trenchcoats and things, that certain thief look is not something that gives many options? I am just guessing.

Those are all some really neat outfits! I just want to say that I am totally aware of the many trenchcoats and things when it comes to medium armor fashion BUT as I have stated earlier, it is mostly just thieves who wear the same or similar style. Engies and rangers do have a common theme too but I rarely see them wearing similar armor unless it is the default 80 exotic medium armor and even that is not as common anymore :P

Now I don’t have a thief or a human character so maybe there just something I don’t understand but… Why does almost every human thief I see wear the same armor(T3 Cultural armor)? I have seen some minor variants like females using the underbood top with the skirt or sneakthief leggings. I just find it funny how I can identify a thief a mile away because of the armor they choose.

The only other class/race combo that i see very often are Human female light armor(T3 Cultural armor again but with the blue or purple flower hairstyle) but that spans across all light classes. But for medium armor, it is just thieves. Even though all races/classes have some sort of common theme but Human thieves are the most obvious.

I am really into gw2 cosmetics so that is why I wanted to ask lol

Btw, I know that not everyone cares about how they look ingame but the question still stands why particular look is so common.

Note: I am not counting the default 80 exotic armor because many use that because it is easy to obtain.

And this right here is what I would also like to ask. If all the different types of players creates their own party and groups with like-minded players, then why should one group feel the need to interfere with the method of another? I hope I worded that right.

Staff is what I actually started with for a while. It is very enjoyable and I will always love it but it is just no good for me once someone gets withing melee range. I faced a few eles today (lost of course) and they were just insane with damage, healing, and how they were able to just fly all around, through, and over me like crazy.

Okay so I happened to run into some other players today and to keep it simple, it was painful. So I am going to try dagger/dagger this time. Seems like that would help with dealing a bit more damage.

Well I do enjoy pve a ton. I usually avoid dungeons unless a friend is online to keep me from getting kicked lol (I tend to die alot). I would like to do dungeons more but that is an issue dealing more with finding someone ‘nice’ to do them with lol.

I also enjoy WvWvW but I was usually just following a tag with a staff. I just now started trying Scepter/Dagger because I want to start doing small scale and I guess roaming but I still run when I see other players if I am alone lol.

I avoid spvp because that is just asking for trouble.

I vote for elementalist. I recently leveled mine to 80 and she is now my new favorite. There are just so many things they can do(most classes can do many things but ele is just amazing to me)! It is kinda difficult to really figure out a direction for them(difficult for me at least) but they are extremely fun.

Hiya again. So this time I would like to ask anyone out there who likes to teach if they are willing to spend a lil bit of time helping me learn my class.

No TS (TeamSpeak) or an actual teaching session or anything like that. I would just like it if anyone would enjoy setting a little time here and there to maybe fight with me or just chat with me ingame (whatever you enjoy more) and offer ideas and improvements for me.

I am aware that I could just go practice in pvp or just ask in chat (have attempted both) but I would really like if someone or even more than one would be willing to help me out on a more personal level. Last year I ran into a guardian from an enemy server in WvW while using my own guardian. After fighting and losing horribly, he offered to spar with me and teach the class to me for a while and it was extremely fun and I learned a ton about my guardian. I am hoping to run into another helpful player but with elementalist this time since I am very interested in this class.

We are a startup(and I mean that in every sense of the word, it’s me and my buddy, we’re co-leaders and currently the only members) Guild on the Gate of Madness server, even though we are on GoM, anybody on any server can join(though you know, no WvW)

We currently have most of the upgrades, banners, banquet, etc. And are looking to find likeminded players. We are very chill and lenient about the game but are looking for others to join in our adventures.

The Illuminatriots are a guild with no REAL status, we do a bit of everything(some WvW, dungeon runs, PvE, we’d even be open to some PvP play, we also do a little bit of RP where we get into our characters a wee bit, but not overly RP-like as some of the folks in Rata Sum on friday nights O_O)

We dont do TS, or have a website, or even plan on that type of thing.

Honestly, we’re a guild that you can be yourself, without judgment or any fighting from other guildies, see ya in-game! We dont care how many or how little AP you have, just that you are friendly, have a knack for the game and are social.

Hmm well I currently have all berserker’s because it is pretty enjoyable and I do everything in this game but only a tiny (not even that much) spvp.

It seems like many people talk about celestial when it is for spvp which is something I don’t really do so I guess it is not something I really need to worry about.

I have 58% critical chance and 219% critical damage so I hope I can sacrifice some of that for toughness or vitality without losing too much.

I was never good with knowing what is good or bad or whatever with stats, buffs, gear, and so on. It gets confusing after a while lol so I am just trying to figure it out as I go.

3 soldier/3 Knight pieces or 4/3 with Berserker/Cavalier trinkets should get you close..the raw dmg will be better on paper but you will lose plenty of Condition Dmg.
Aim for 2300-2400 armor.The rest of the stats should come alone nicely.Also..16-17k HP unbuffed is plenty enough.The rest is skill.

My friend and I tend to hang out in the cities. We set up drinking tournaments with prizes and things, dress up as mad king and does mad king says, organize giant parties with our guild banquets, toys, and instruments (we even had a band at one point lol), and try to bring attention back to games like keg brawl and things (but with prizes).

When we are not just messing around, we sometimes create dungeon groups for players who want a nice, safe, and welcoming environment without the worry of ridicule or teasing and such (everyone has to learn at some point).

Other than that, we kinda just try a little bit of everything in the game but for us, the social part is what we really care about. Half the time we just have fun dressing up our characters and interacting with others in the cities. We were even thinking of opening up our guild to start finding other like-minded players to join us in our shenanigans.

Hey there! I had some graphical issues for a few minutes where my character had disappeared. I decided to take advantage of that opportunity and take some screenshots of Rata Sum.

I wanted to post a few of them here in case anyone would like to have them. I don’t have a large monitor but I just wanted to share some of my favorite pictures with you all.

I think Rata Sum wins when it comes to the convenience thing. That waypoint has all the vendors literally surrounding it.

BTW, Rata Sum needs more love! We did have the super adventure box but… well you know…

I don’t agree. I think that if you created the party, you should have full control regardless. If anyone has an issue with that, then they are always welcome to create their own party and avoid joining them. I think that would be fair to everyone.

It is too easy for others to join a party and do as they please if the leader does not have a friend to help them kick the offending player.

I would like to ask for more control over parties that I create for dungeons. I am not very skilled so I like to attempt nice and simple runs where I can learn the dungeons with others who are also not very good yet.

The problem is that I always get players who either troll me, join with friends and kick me, or go afk without saying anything. I don’t always have someone online to join with me to help me kick these kinds of players.

I mean, since I created the party, shouldn’t I be able to have full control? I know that people fear abusive leaders but that is why we have the option to either leave and try another, or make our own.

I think many problems could be fixed this way with dungeons if everyone can make their own parties and have full control about who they play with.

I guess I will just make up my own build and things that work for how I play. It might not be the most effective but it will suit me specifically. That actually sounds like a fun thing to do.
