I remember somewhere in the forums where a dev stated that the number of reports does not matter.
1000 false reports are nothing compared to 1 legit report.
They look into these things and these players will end up getting themselves banned lol
Unless it is a WvW guild, you should have no need to switch servers.
If it is a WvW guild, you should still join them first to see how the guild is and then if things seem great, transfer to that server.
lol it is a pvp area. You are an enemy player and I will kill you every time.
There is nothing to consider. They are the enemy.
There are no mental issues with anger or whatever people may try to come up with as for the reason. In WvW we kill players with red names and we are rewarded for it.
Transmuting is not the issue, it is how you acquired the gear in the first place. Like what the person before me said.
Well new and old players alike will continue to make the mistake of not giving enough detail on their first call for help.
If you want to ignore them then hey, go right on ahead, but I hope there is never an actual threat when one of your own guildies is not there to make the call for you.
snip
You want guilds to respect you. But you won’t respect them.
I have no problem spending 20 seconds rezzing up some pugs if they just happen to have crossed our path, and will then continue on their own way doing their scouting or roaming or w/e.
I will not rez them if they’ve been following us around all night, and won’t move off when asked.
You want respect? Then reciprocate it.
And 90% of the time we don’t respond to pug request for help because the “request” is something vague like “INC ZOMG helpz keep quick!”. A guildie is more likely to get a response from us, because they provide actual information like “40-50 SFR at NE gate garri, 3 rams up, gate 70%”.
Do you see the difference?
Your first statement goes both ways.
Your second statement seems to deal with a specific situation in which someone was just following you when you didn’t want them to. When I spoke on rezzing, I was speaking on general terms in which certain guilds would leave players dead regardless of the situation.
On your last statement about requests for help, maybe try asking for numbers or more about the situation. On my server, both guilds and PUGs will sometimes just say “inc bay south” or something similar and someone else will ask “what are the numbers” then they will realize they didn’t give enough info at first and will then explain the situation in full. It is not that hard to ask.
Do you see the difference?
I agree that guilds should be able to do as they please but, I have seen some pretty uncool things that they do. (Not all of them of course)
-Some guilds I know of don’t respond to calls of help by PUGs, but will respond when another guildie does the same call 2 seconds later.
-After a fight, I seen guilds only res their own and leave PUGs dead, even when they are standing right next to them and are in no rush to go anywhere.
-I have even seen certain guilds lead PUGs on a suicide run with a separate commander tag just to get rid of them. (I actually had joined that guild the same day and seen the chat)
-I have also seen guilds angrily yelling at PUGs (in chat of course) to leave WvW because they had no guild, but never gave then an option to join one of their guilds.
Nothing wrong with doing your own thing but some guilds have disgusting attitudes towards other players that are not in “popular” guilds or not in guilds at all in WvW.
I mean, do as you please but don’t treat others in your server like they are complete trash or the enemy. This is a weird “status” thing that I see in WvW alot.
Sorry this kind of gotten off topic but I really wanted to throw this out there.
I dunno why but I want the spoons. I want all the spoons!!!! o_o
lol okay guys… I feel like I have seen it all. If I facepalm anymore then I will end up killing myself.
He let me take pictures of him in action!!!
I would have taken better pictures but you can’t really argue with him. I almost died just trying to get the ones I have!
My problem is when people talk as if they speak for everyone.
Of course the forums are an important part of the community’s feelings(I never said it wasn’t) but neither of us can just assume a majority of the players like or dislike the new update.
Yes, there are forum posts and people ingame saying they dislike the update, but unless you have actual numbers, none of us really knows what most people think.
But hey, since I am outnumbered in this thread, I guess my opinion just does not count then.
It counts.

Just because there are threads here that say they are unhappy with the changes does not mean a majority of the players dislike them. The forums does not represent the majority of the players.
I have been playing this game for 2yrs and I LOVE these changes.
People should not try to speak for others.
At first I did not think I would like it, but now I am really enjoying the new leveling system. Everything feels fresh (even though I have been playing for 2ys). Me and my guildies have been enjoying leveling and laughing at the small things like the dodging tutorial with the chest in the middle. Also, I no longer need to farm mobs to unlock all my weapon skills which is great(especially since I just made an ele).
I have to admit that I am enjoying this entire new update.
Edit: Oh and leveling is extremely fast now! I don’t need to farm eotm anymore because of how much exp hearts give you now and things.
All current players should have a lot of lv 20 scrolls in the bank, making any new alt toon easy to level. You’d be at skill slot 7 as soon as you have access to a bank.
That is is quite an assumption…
lol I logged onto one of my lowbies, saw that half my skills were gone, said “nope”, and just went straight to my 80s.
Ah well, luckily I have a couple 80s already and now I won’t end up spending any more money on my low levels
I can barely see anything with all the current spells, legendaries, and things already.
We already have players who are basically just giant orbs of light lol
My thoughts:
- 10 bucks for a set of armour or less than 10 bucks for a weapon skin is closer to a cup of coffee and can be paid by most people who’ve graduated from their school and can manage their own money.
By this logic, it would be okay to charge me $1000 for a weapon skin on the gem store because I can afford it since I graduated from high school and can manage my own money. Just because you can afford something does not automatically justify it’s price. Also, where do you buy your coffee?!
Hey there. I have finally really gotten into wvw after 2yrs of messing with it. I chose my condition ranger to be my main because he has been doing well with protecting our borderlands and taking camps. I am still figuring things out but I am pretty confident with what I have atm.
I like small groups and I usually avoid Eternal Battlegrounds because I am not a big fan of zerging unless I am on my guardian or warrior. Roaming is fun and all but I would like to have others watching my back so that is why I would like to join a guild.
I also have an 80 warrior and guardian that I sometimes use and I enjoy casual PvE when I just want to have some simple fun.
Oh and I know this is a turn off for most WvW guilds, but I don’t use TS. I just don’t enjoy verbally talking to others in games.

Honestly, it seems like there is no easy solution for this. If you don’t allow leaders to be kicked, then it allows them to be able to troll their parties without any type of punishment for doing so. If things don’t change and they are still allowed to be kicked, then anyone else can troll the dungeon by kicking them at the end or whatever.
IMO, they should be allowed to be kicked because at least there are ways to help prevent it from happening, like bringing a guild member to cancel the kick or to kick the person who is trolling.
That is just my opinion though.
I finally get to use this

You are welcome to join my guild that my friend and I created. We just use it for buffs but don’t mind helping a fellow out and adding to our group of pals to chill, play, and socialize with.
You should totally go for elementalist
Fluffy? I am the most intimidating charr out there. I don’t understand why people don’t take me seriously :s
They should fear my ferocious appearance, but they don’t for some reason.
I do it so players get angry and make forum posts about it. That lets me know that I was successful.
Meh… I would not want those anyways.
21. I am old enough to drink. That counts right? RIGHT?!?
It is less about them being naive or the game being violent. IMO if you really want to let your kid be exposed to everything the online world has to offer, then don’t be surprised or angry at what will happen.
I get spammed everyday regardless of how many i block and report. I have just gotten used to it at this point.
I have Nvidia 770 and have it updated but there wasn’t any improvement with Guild Wars.
I noticed an fps drop with my 770
I uhh… no I don’t think so. I usually have an open mind when it comes to games but for some reason things like this just weird me out. I guess I am not that open minded then lol
I think guardian is the most fun.
Some random person took me to some of those crazy rooms in CM a year ago. That was really interesting and fun. It was pretty neat but I never tried anything like that since.
I think people who play other genders are creeps (unless it’s a game where you have no choice. Then it’s fine. Or if you get some bonus out of it like in Fire Emblem)
I play all female characters. I used to have some female Norn but now they are all fluffy tailed female Charr.
Come at me bro.
Oh and another confession:
I actually enjoy casual dungeon runs when we die and make mistakes and laugh. It is fun helping others to figure the game out and most casual dungeon runners are pretty cool people.

I once decided not to rez a teammate in wvw because they were an Asura.
I regret nothing!
Reported for racism.
x3
Charr for life!
Misleading topic title is very misleading -.-

Ignore the haters. Block them and enjoy the game. Have fun and laugh at those who try to tell you how to play.
lol where is the armor?
I once partied up with someone from a different server. We went to the third server’s borderlands and took turns capping camps and killing everyone except our own. We also helped eachother train to fight each profession and it was a pretty cool experience
That was a ton of fun.
I honestly can’t answer most of these but I can say this.
Be respectful and keep a positive attitude no matter what. Commanders who are jerks or who go off on others when they lose a fight will never have good results.

Stopped reading at this point.
haha ikr?
Who suggested marriages? Will that really bring in more players? lol
Anyways… I like how the current system is with the constant new content. I don’t know how you could burn through everything in an hour or two though. I like not having to wait a year or two for new content.
Yeah I vote for this.
Tab targeting is an option in Guild Wars 2, not a fact of life. Even if you don’t target something and you fire at it, you’ll hit it with most weapons. There are exceptions like mesmer clones where you have to have a target, but they are just that…exceptions.
You can kill stuff easily without targeting at all. I do it all the time.
this is not true, most of the time if you don’t target something and fire you hit the ground.
Actually, you can aim most ranged weapons like rifle or ele staff fire by holding your right mouse button. Anywhere you point the camera is where you will shoot. You can hit enemies like that without aiming.
yes good luck aiming like that in a battle
Not about whether it is useful or not. Letting you know that you can manually target that way.
