14k? Mantra? Wat?
No seriosly, care to elaborate a bit?
QQing about mesmer survivability and then throwing a suspicious example without providing any builds or gear stats seems.. fishy at the least.
Kisarachan @ Underworld
Ill give u the details. Using a cleric amulet with traits 30/20/0/20/0 for good power. If you select the traits right you should get reduced recharge, an additional cast at 3 mantra casts, and you should definitely use the trait to remove a condition each time you use a healing skill. Furthermore, the superior water run at 6 stacks on armor will allow health gain every 10 seconds you use a mantra. Another trait in the spec I suggested will allow you to heal when you cast a mantra for about 2500 as an estimate. together it is estimated about 3440×3 from mantra casts plus 2500+1330 from water rune and mantra trait. together it is about 14k heals which is higher than a guardian at 10k maxed out on healing every 32 secs with reduced signet recharge (original cool down is 40 secs)
I want to open by stating how mesmers seem to be able to stay alive without extra armor or using their healing skill as long as the user is good at staying hidden.
So anyway…. I was playing around with one healing mantra making a hybrid power mesmer and stacking phantasms for dps. I found that my mantra can heal for 14k with a cool down of 7 seconds and at the same time removes 4 conditions. one match I literally just stood spamming the mantra vs 2 players and didn’t die. Anyway if they wanted a bursty mesmer they shouldn’t have given it more heals than a guardian.
Awsome build. Its like u vanish every second.

Try http://www.gw2build.com/builds/stealth-damage-condition-remove-spamm-stealth-builds-9379.html
It can take down a gurdian and if used right, it can take on just about anything
try this the weaps are similar http://www.gw2build.com/builds/stealth-damage-condition-remove-spamm-stealth-builds-9379.html
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Compassionate_Banner
It has the healing cross but it doesn’t heal. Games just been so glitchy lately /=
Its one of the skills you get when you pick up the banner

The warrior banner of tactics doesn’t work. it says grants regeneration then healing but the healing doesn’t trigger and only the regeneration does. I thought maybe it only works for parties and not myself but it still doesn’t work. Please fix.

Why ppl cant aoe the 2600 hp clones ?
Because using macros you can spam clones and shatter them instantly, they have literally not enough time to die between summoning and shatter…even into aoes, sometimes they don’t even become visible before the mez shatters them..
What is scary is that the build I linked does its one second or less kills without a macro you just block with the sword (skill 4) dealing 3k on a thief and shatter them right when your character disappears and hits the enemy. This can hit for a quad 3k or extra 12k and then the flame sigil deals like 1.8k-2k all together that is literally 17k damage almost instantly.
Ok guys. I tried out the instant spike on a mesmer and it works. in response to the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wr8l833Gs9I …. I tried something similar that looks like the build and posted it on (http://www.gw2build.com/builds/dps-mesmer-9279.html).
When you play the game of glass, you win or you die.
Ye but not in less than a second….
Wow I already thought mesmers were overpowered, but this is too much… I guss I will have to play shatter now until they get nerfed…
I meant rifle…. The recent increase in complaints about mesmer should speak for themselves though…
No I find the real player then burst it down (wars have only one shot at their high bust damage) Then after the mesmer vanishes out of my bust before its even at half hp, the battle drags on and I die. Even the rifle is no match for their stealth…

Why do Mesmers have a faster burst cool down than the warriors do? Also why am I losing on, even the tankiest players, to one catch a mesmer’s shatter builds every match…?
(please don’t tell me its because you don’t have skill….) They completely dominate parties when they dual, tournaments, (you name it). If I use a mesmer the fights are even, but every other class I play dies vs them…

Yes any idea to add more skills without altering Guildwars2 will be helpfull. We just need more.
Playing Guild Wars 2 has been allot of fun. However, gameplay is starting to become less fun due to players copying each others builds. The real issue is variety. We need more so our characters can be unique. The builds get so similar that I refer to elementalists as dagger/dagger elementalists or scepter elementalists and there are not even more than a few weapon combinations.
My suggestions are as Follows:
-Add more version of a weapon to add skill variety (example: instead of just 3 sword skills; you have 3 skills for a crooked sword, 3 skills for a flame sword, 3 skills for the bronze sword). Already 9 more skills are added with one weapon using this method.
-Add more healing skills (I Don’t just mean more healing skills alone. we also need to be able to use utility slots for healing adding more variety to healing skills. One slot and 3 healing skills is fairly easy to copy.) It would be a good idea to make one utility skill slot a special utility kill /healing skill slot to achieve this.
- Add more utility skills. (we really just need more)
- Add more elite skills. ( Elite skills change the flow of the battle and will be even more effective if we don’t guarantee they will use one of 3 Elite skill choices). Fore example: I can guarantee a thief will use the thief summoning elite skill because they all do.
-Allow PvE skills to be used in Heart of the Mists PvP (It would add more variety and would diminish the disappointment of having an awesome build in PvE while being unable to test them out In Heart of the Mists PvP).
Any method will do. Guildwars2 players just need more skills because we are using them all up. I believe that the implantation of even one or two of the suggestions mentioned will keep Guildwars2 gamer’s playing the game for years while they recombine skills to make new interesting skill combinations.
