I wonder if it stacks with HP regen food. If so that would be awesome.
Yes, both sigils take effect if you are dual wielding. So if you have one that casts lit on crit and one that casts freeze on crit then you will hit enemies with both lit and frost every once in awhile when you crit.
From my testing it seems that the sigils do not stack, so theres no use having 2 sigils of ice on your pistols for example.

I’ve never had an issue getting groups as an engineer.
Sure did you play today? What does an engineer bring to the dungeon that a Guardian or Ranger and especially Warrior doesnt?
You have never been turned out in a PUG for being an engi? Seriously I doubt you play much then. Play your engi what 1 or 2 times a week and come on here and tell me you have never had a problem? Engineer is like the fat slow kid in dodge ball. The last one to be picked. how many times have you seen “LF1M Dungeon looking for Engineer” . Never
I’ve never seen anyone advertise specific class LFM’s for anything but the tankier builds (warr and guard). Reason is that GW2 has too many glass cannon types running dungeons, and some of the glass cannons types (like Ele and Eng/Grenadier) rely on tanks to keep the enemies in one place so they can deliver some of that delicious AoE. Apparently tanks are the new healers.
Then play more.
I am not a glass cannon Engineer either. Play more dude. How can you even be a glass cannon and play grenades? Without the toughness and vitialty? Guess you are a bad one or played with bad ones.
I’m usually the last one standing when running with glass cannon groups. That doesnt mean I can run to the front of a mob and absorb damage while the glass cannons get their aoes off. I’m the guy who is running around kiting stragglers and dropping nades on groups AND super elixir, AND Elixir H AND elixir B AND healing mist on the tanks, party members that are low on HP, those afflicted with conditions and party members that are otherwise struggling.
I’m pretty good at surviving, and am pretty competent at fractals but I can’t exactly keep 5 signet warriors or a team of glass cannons alive. And at the point where all your teammates die what do you do? You don’t exactly have enough single-target DPS to take care of the multiple vets that may be over the bodies nor enough survivability to deal with a large mob by yourself since your spec is either support or glass cannon.
If you’ve never ran with a bad or mediocre pug then you havent been playing enough. An engineer is just as reliant on his teammates as they are on him. The best place for a grenadier/elixir engie is in the back supporting, or in with is group dropping healing and condition removers. It is never his job to tank since he just doesnt have the survivability skills (e.g. reflection, stability, retaliation, aoe stuns) to do tanking with any level of competence.

Oh, they nerfed super elixir. There goes my only reason to kit Elixir gun.

I can’t do it. I tried for 3 hours and I never got past the snowflake tiles. Had to quit the game before i throw my laptop to the wall. For those who think it’s easy, congratulations. I just don’t have the same hand to eye coordination you guys have. Must be nice to not suck at games.
Are you perchance using a touchpad?
Touchpads = BAD for jumping puzzles, especially the timed ones like clocktower and this one.

Wow…Anet have no idea how expensive vanilla beans and chocolate bars are now…
Thank you for the recipes :P
I was getting loads of vanilla beans harvesting the herb nodes in Metrica Province. The drop rate is way better than I was getting from trying to farm chili peppers from Ashford.
It would be nice if GW2 ‘streamed’ the next area without having to use loading screens, but I believe the reason why the assets (terrain and objects) for the next terrain sector arent loaded or displayed I believe is because each area uses different assets than the previous areas, like Caledon Forest doesnt have asura buildings floating platforms or trees from Metrica, nor does Metrica Province have some of the trees and units (e.g. the nightmare court) that Caledon has. I think this is ultimately meant to save memory, so you don’t have to load a massive amount of objects into memory. Like getting a stutter when approaching Lion’s Arch due to having to load in all the ship-house models, textures, skies, etc.
That said, It would be really nice if GW2 couldve had a ‘streaming’ method so that the world blended more smoothly, like having elements of Caledon in Metrica, and vice versa. Instead of having such an abrupt transition from one zone to the next.
The extra pistol range is quite noticeable much like the extended grenade range which is also quite noticeable. If you have a frost sigil on one of your pistols this means you can easily do a lot of damage to many enemies before they can even get close to you which reduces your need to put yourself in harms way when by the time the enemy closes in on you he’s already half health and stacked with conditions to boot.
However since your build does not seem very +precision (crit) oriented, then the frost sigil will proc less and be quite unreliable.

Longer bleed durations arent important if the DPS on the bleed is high. Think for example if bleed did say 200 damage overall, then what would be more useful having a longer or a shorter bleed? Almost certainly the shorter bleed would be better since the damage takes effect sooner and you will be less likely to heal it off. Furthermore, having stacks of bleed applied so frequently (every half second) means that your condition removers arent going to really do anything since you’ll just accumulate those stacks quickly anyways. Regardless, it would be better if the absolute damage in bleed scaled a bit more either in duration (with same damage per second) or in plain DPS without affecting duration.
This is in opposition to poison which stacks duration. 1 minute of poison on your enemy isnt going to save your hide anyways since for most high damage/low HP enemies (like your typical risen) you are going to want to end the fight in seconds before you are overwhelmed by numbers and stacking poison duration is not going to help you one bit if you have too many of em on you.
Oh, you’re absolutely right. I was confusing T3 asura with the ‘inquest’ dungeon weapons which is basically recolored T1 asura weapons.

Thank you for running the numbers casia. I had been specced for Pow > Prec > Cond and noticed that pistol DPS is only slightly lower than rifle DPS, but this was probably due to the fact that cond (which is scaled terribly with engies as your evidense) was de-emphasized on my build. Assuming that you’re right than that means that direct damage via prec and maybe pow would be the ONLY way to do any amount of sizable damage with the engineer profession. Which further emphasizes use of the Rifle/Nade/EG builds that you’re seeing now.
Still, and although this is a thread about pure DPS — I do not think you should underestimate the usefulness of the chill inflicted by the ice sigil and how often it procs on +prec builds. Condition breaking abilities which might be wasted on bleed/poison could mean that the person is easy prey for a chilled and crippled state inflicted by glue shot and the sigil combined without needing any further steps in kit rotation other than to switch to pistols while your favorite kit is recharging — Net shot on the other hand could be mitigated ‘unshakeable’ or a single stun breaker which any PvPer is likely to carry in their arsenel.

The dark area fight near the end of the snow blind fractal really impressed me with its ambience, it actually felt like ‘true night’ and it was beautiful to see things like flamethrowers and other fire magic lighting up the night.
I was surprised too. I found a lot of players to be quite helpful in that sense, like wandering around in a higher level area and asking other players to distract a vet so that I can grab a skill challenge. It’s not difficult to find players who are willing to help out.
Crowning achievement though, was this time when I was getting ganked repeatedly by Crystal Desert players (I’m from Maguuma btw) in the WvW jumping puzzle. I got to the dark room of the JP a little bit of luck (not encountering any enemy parties) and my trusty flamethrower to light the way.
Anyways, near the top portion of the dark room there is a doorway lit by a torch and lo and behold there are about 3 ‘Crystal Desert Invaders’ standing in the doorway watching me. At this point i’m by myself, a little asura with more of a PvE grenade build that a WvW ganking build. I take off my flamethrower and hide behind a pillar, hoping that they are just waiting for one of their friends to come and they won’t backtrack to come and do harm to me.
One of those little asuras jumps down from the doorway and starts making their way up to me. So i’m thinking oh man this is gonna suck if she tries to fight with me. So I start rekitting with things like flame turret and readying my blowout attacks and planning out a combo that would do high burst damage. The asura climbs up to where I am and i’m tensing up. So I press F2 to trigger big ol bomb to start my combo but it fails to go off, at this moment I notice that I havent been hit yet and I see that asura start doing the dance animation, which set me at ease. She shows me the way through the remainder of the puzzle and eventually I get to the end to see ‘more’ Crystal Desert invaders, mostly warrs/guards (it’s hard to tell by the way that they are rendered), however they make no hostile moves towards me. Instead they jump through the puzzle normally. Eventually something weird happened after I fell off a ledge and had to restart the final part of the JP and that was I was somehow invited to a party of ‘Crystal Desert Invaders’ and they talked to me on party chat (I dont think it showed their actual player names and their portraits were rendered in generic colors), so they helped me to complete the puzzle. So after getting ganked all those times by thieves and mesmers (and one failed attempt by a warr), I finally completed the puzzle with the help of some of the people near the end. I thanked them and went on my way.

I didnt look that closely, but arent Asura T3 cultural weapons basically T1 but with a red tint instead of a cobalt one?
It will happen a few times when I jump around in lion’s arch, not sure if its tied to a recent waypoint usage or not. After a few more jumps the animation will ‘unstick’ and the head will no longer compress like that.
I have a 560ti and can handle GW2 at max settings (with the help of a quad-core and 4GB of RAM)
The main deficiencies of your system are:
1) The graphics card, it may be the latest generation (600 series) but it’s basically the lowest-end card (10 series) you can get of the latest generation. Low end cards tend to be REALLY underpowered for gaming. My card on the other hand while of the previous generation is still more powerful because it’s medium tier with stats that are close-ish to the high-tier (expensive) cards. New generations are a slight iterative improvement on the previous generations not usually very game changing. I’d much rather have a 560 than a 630 (low-mid level) card, and DEFINITELY much rather have it than a 610. I would advise getting a 650 or higher (GTX series) if you can afford it.
2) Your RAM, if you’re sharing RAM with your videocard that means that the RAM that would be used for storing game data (like the positions of players/monsters, caching and preloading objects, etc) is now diverted to storing models and especially textures that are rendered in the world. You don’t need 3GB of VRAM. It helps, obviously, but only if your system RAM doesnt suffer as a result.
3) Your dual-core machine isnt bad per-se. I mean it depends on the specific model and generation of your CPU and newer CPUs always help but it’s not the weak point on your machine. I would say if you update your graphics card then you’ll be able to run at low or medium setting easily but your CPU will become the barrier at being able to run at high or maximum settings.
“I feel 180 centimeters tall!”
Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
I noticed this quite a bit, and usually its not extremely bad or immersion breaking. I have to say though there are some areas where invisible walls are quite noticable.
- The southern face of the Mount Maelstrom volcano. If you are trying to get inside of the volcano by scaling it.
- Fireheart Rise (Fuller Cistern sub-area), if you are trying to go north of that area by scaling the hills you will notice places where it looks easy to climb the hills but the invisible walls stop you often in the most illogical of places.
Why Hard Mode?
- To address the complaints of players who reach level 80 and complain that they have nothing else to do (aside from perhaps acquiring grinding or playing the market for legendaries)
- To provide additional challenge to players who have easily completed story modes and normal maps and do not believe normal mode to be challenging enough.
- To help speed up the process of collecting good materials for players who have already completed Lvl.80 in normal modes.
- Due to the increased difficulty of Hard Mode, it would encourage adventurers to form parties
- Players can make better use of their crafting professions to craft items appropriate to their levels since many Lvl.80’s (normal mode) will have maxed or leveled up their crafting professions decently by the time they enter HM, and will have to worry less about the acquisition of materials or keeping their crafting on par with their regular level.
How could Hard Mode be Implemented?
- By bringing a few additional servers online that are duplicates of the existing world (minus cities) but with hard mode enabled.
- HM will use an adaptive number of servers similar to how overflows work.
- Players in HM start out at Lvl.1 and may retry their stories in Hard Mode
- Player inventories are swapped out depending on whether the player is in HM or normal mode. The player will use the bank to transfer items between the his inventories if necessary (or alternatively mail himself something).
- Enemies gain increased stats to start out with, mostly oriented towards offensive stats.
- Loot tables are elevated by one level or player otherwise gains a bonus to Magic Find, meaning that the player has a greater chance of acquiring rarer drops and will very rarely acquire whites. This means that farming Orr in HM will mean better drops though you will probably want to do it with a party.
- Cities will be used to switch between normal mode and hard mode
Cleansing burst only queues the turret up to remove conditions when it does its next mist spray rather than doing so immediately.
This is a great idea. Even moreso if MF transfers over to other members in a dilute sense. Think for example if you have the MF wearer getting 65% of his MF when grouped and each teammate getting +35% of his MF. Well, the dude who is sporting MF gear might think twice about doing it, and party members might be a little less reluctant to party with him even if he did. Furthermore if you have 2 guys in the party sporting MF gear, you are effectively giving 100% MF to the guys sporting the gear while the other party members get 65% MF (assuming the MF gear guys MF is the same). Assuming that all party members were in full MF gear with the same amount of total MF, they would effectively get 205% of their average base MF, but would be essentially be playing on hard mode due to the stats they would have to give up to get that much combined MF.
Vitality DOES reduce the rest of the party because the high-hp guy isn’t doing as much damage.
Dead people do 0 DPS. If you think vitality, toughness or healing power are useless, I hope I never get grouped with you in a dungeon…

Your calculations assume lackluster cond and increased crit damage power. Isnt it better to assume that it’s better to have a higher crit % (via precision) than to have a higher crit damage boost? Or even better, to have a higher condition damage than a higher crit damage? I mean half the point of going pistols is to inflict conditions anyways and your sample stats seem to assume that the pistol user is using condition damage on his pistols only and maybe a minor piece of armor. This isnt anything close to a condition build but more of a ‘lets put condition on our pistols since thats what they do anyways’ build that pretty much ignores the fact that you need condition damage IN ADDITION to actual precision to do a decent amount of condition damage.
(edited by Zero Angel.9715)
And finally, a power-oriented build will usually have terrible condition DPS when wielding p/p. p/p is better if you spec not only condition damage, but also precision! I like to put 2 different sigils on my pistols, the earth sigil (30% chance to bleed on crit) and the one which has a 30% chance to freeze on crit. It makes kiting a lot better. Combine this with the fact that you’re inflicting a max amount of vulnerability on your target and p/p works quite well because the bleeds and poison damages continue to harass your enemy even when combat is being interrupted. In PvP however the mesmer is still going to pwn you due to the fact that he can transfer his conditions to you.
So yeah, if you do decide to go p/p then precision should be your primary stat, not cond, cond should be a secondary stat and power never quite goes to waste though you shouldnt focus on it.
Coincidentally, high precision builds also tend to work well with flamethrower as the main kit since crits on flamethrower tend to cause extra burning damage and you are gonna proc a lot of crits if you are precision oriented.
I’ve had minimal problems finding groups using an LFG website, but for the other reasons I think it’s perfectly reasonable to quit due to bugs or things not functioning as smoothly as they should. The implementation of FotM is far from perfect, and i’m sure it will become more enjoyable as ANet fixes the things that make FotM a more frustrating experience than it should be.
Have not experienced the problem personally, not have seen anyone get abused through this system. From what i’ve seen, if someone gets kicked its for a good reason (like logging out for more than 3 minutes, or otherwise causing problems for their team).
1) You should NOT be able to kick people once you are at the end of the dungeon. It is just rude. People should get banned for doing this.
2) You SHOULD be able to kick the party leader without getting the team kicked. I’ve seen party leaders do half the dungeon then just AFK until the rest is beat, and if you kick them, the whole party get’s kicked. It’s lame.
I disagree with point 1, at least when it comes to regular dungeons. I do think that you should be able to kick someone, but only if they are AFK or logged out. I’ve had it happen to me on multiple occassions where other players would ragequit (or just mysteriously log out) a dungeon, even on the last boss, and having a guild mate come in and help out was the only way to accomplish the remainder of the dungeon within a reasonable amount of time.
Then again there are other situations where players could grief or be abusive to others, like a player passively-aggressively going AFK because he knows that he cannot get kicked for example.
I think that simply reporting abusive players would be the best course of action, since there are many different ‘solutions’ that might be implemented that may cause side effects for when you legitimately need to have a player kicked.

Yeah “/join <<playername>>” works if you want to join an existing party and “/invite <<playername>>” works if you want to invite another player to your party. Alternatively you could use the ‘party’ menu on the left-edge of your screen (near the top) but in my experience the /join and /invite chat commands work without any problems.
No, it depends on your gear and how much condition damage bonuses you have. If you have minimal condition damage bonuses, rifle is the way to go. If you spec for high condition damage then p/p or p/s is the way to go.
For example, I sport a power-oriented build, and even with 2200 power, the rifle doesnt nearly put out the DPS that grenades do. I’m usually scoring like 50%-66% DPS with rifle vs a single target then I would be doing with nades (being full grenadier spec). I use the rifle for situations where I need to temporarily control a target, or kite a moving target that I cant aim nades properly at.
However, when it comes to absolute DPS, Pistol/Pistol is where its at if you’ve got a decent amount of condition damage bonuses going on. And even if you don’t, p/p is still decent because the damages over time caused by all the conditions that pistols inflict can outpace that of power-oriented rifle users.
I carry a rifle, pistols and a shield and switch them up depending on the task that needs to be done. My pistols are carrion exotics with +75 condition damage each and even without having a lot of condition damage on my other gear (nor am I deep enough into the alchemy tree to benefit from sizeable condition bonuses), they slightly outpace my rifle in pure DPS.
The main problem with pistols (aside from lack of good target controlling abilities) is that the more condition damagers you have attacking the same target, the less return you’re going to get on your condition damage bonuses, as well as the fact that condition damage DPS starts out slow and ramps up, making it unsuitable for using on squishy targets that are going to die quickly anyways.
Cliffside is perfectly doable by pulling boss into the room. When I do cliffside my group usually has someone sit by the boss when he is dazed while the rest go to kill a chanter, hit the seal, and get out of there.
His 75%-50% form is brutal on Lv.20+! It’s not unusual for him to do a bunch of AoEs which can easily down your party members, then do the pull+AoE combo which can down multiple party members instantly. I think the important thing is to try to run out of those AoE fields instead of using up your dodges, because you’ll need em for the attack that comes after his pull!
Harpies are tricky but doable with minimal knockoffs. One strategy I like to use is stand in an area (like the edge of a platform) where you are likely to see an edge of the red circle appear on an adjacent platform (so, standing on the center of any platform is a bad idea!). Then when you see it just jump over to another platform and you won’t get hit by the attack. Sometimes you will get hit by a bolt without seeing the circle but it’s a method i’ve been using all the time and it usually works.
I believe the only other major use for Karma is for obsidian shards which are components used to craft a legendary (You need something like 250k total karma for all the needed shards). Karma is easy to come by if you hit event chains and do dungeons and such all the time.
Honestly, if they sped up the grenades and removed ground targeting, I doubt that too much would change gameplay-wise.
Yeah, it would change a lot actually. Grenades are awesomely powerful in PvE but they take some skill to aim, like nading on the move, hitting mobs that are moving (and properly leading your targets), throwing nades behind you while running at full speed, etc.
Two things could happen if nades were auto-targeted.
(1) The aim of nades would likely under-lead moving targets so you would be completely useless against anything that’s on the move (like a big mob chasing you), whereas before you can control the aim and lead targets properly.
(2) The nades would lead targets almost perfectly and be too powerful, likely leading to nades getting nerfed. So those of us who can currently aim grenades the manual way would have less utility for them because they have now been simplified to no-skill spammable weapons that are no longer as powerful as they once were. People would whine endlessly about nades being ‘dumbed down’ and not as fun — likely grenades would see further nerfs (damage, explosion radius, etc) in PvP game modes.
(edited by Zero Angel.9715)
Actually you got more benefit since you likely have items from all the events that preceded the promo (e.g. mad king, lost shores), experience, higher levels, and are closer to a legendary (if you care about that sort of thing). Not to mention that you probably got to experience the rather fun Halloween events (and the cool mad king cutscene when you werent expecting it!), whereas someone who just bought the game hasnt nor ever will have experienced those events like you have. Someone who buys the game later will have less benefit because all they get is a town clothes hat.
My guess is if you had to choose between buying GW2 earlier, or waiting several months and buying it for the town clothes hat it comes with — most people would choose to buy it early.
(edited by Zero Angel.9715)
A workaround would simply be to open your mail interface → compose. Type the name of the intended recipient, then open your item interface and drag the item onto the attachment boxes.
If the christmas events are anything like the halloween events you should be fine.
For example on the halloween event there was a special boss fight dungeon and everyone who was lower level than 80 had their power increased so that they could play it too (I completed the boss fight several times on Lvl.40), as well as special game modes and a new jumping puzzle that all did not require you to be a high level player. There was only one part of halloween events that you needed to be a high level player, and that was some of the scavenger hunt parts that went out in the high lvl zones. Though I completed mine with the help of some guild mates and friends.
As far as I know, swimming to the surface is the exact same as using your fourth downed skill, except you are immobilized and enemies can still beat you up.
Isnt it better then to simply swim away and use your heal skill in hopes of rallying since you arent a sitting duck?
I consider any gear which has -20 of absolute max stats to be ‘basically max stats’. Its far different from trying to run dungeons in green and yellow gear when most of the other members have exotics.
If you think that the +5 will really help you (it wont) or if you are a completionist who MUST have absolute max stats for the sake of having absolute max stats then go for it. However it’s not going to ruin your experience by not having it — and I think that is the whole point.
It doesnt necessarily matter what skills you unlock first. Eventually you can unlock them all AND have tons of skill points to spare (I’m a Lv.80 eng who has 75 skill points to spare even after unlocking everything). Anyways if you want more skill points, just do skill challenges.
As to weapons. Rifle works good for +power builds, but the rifle has rather mediocre DPS. The main purpose of the rifle is to control single enemies by net shotting them, hitting them with overcharged shots to knock them down and interrupt them (giving you some breathing room). It’s good for controlling heavy hitting melee types that will pwn you in close quarters or enemies which have powerful charge attack. The rifle won’t benefit from condition damage.
Dual pistols is a good all around build, especially if you have a lot of +cnd (condition damage), because it applies poison, burning, vulnerability and bleed ailments to the enemy, all of which depend on condition damage. The downside to dual pistols is that you have NO abilities to stop the movements of enemies (you can slow em a bit with glue shot). If you want to go dual pistols then make sure to spec for +cnd
Pistol/Shield
Another useful setup and decent for +cnd builds, since the most important 3 abilities are in the first pistol. The shield however takes some getting used to and will seem REALLY LAME until you discover its real utility. For example attack 4 will protect vs projectiles AND reflect them back to the source, in addition if you hit 4 again before the reflective shield expires you will perform an attack that knocks all nearby enemies back which can buy you some critical time or save your bacon for a few seconds while your heal recharges or whatever. Attack 5 is a throwing attack that often hits an enemy twice, doesnt seem very useful until you discover that it has a brief stun that also acts as an interrupt. Generally if you throw the shield at an enemy then for the next 4 seconds or so he won’t be able to do any attack that take time to prepare because he will be interrupted.
Also, if you do not like the extra grinding required for the +5 to each stat then don’t even bother. Don’t do things that are not worth doing, it’s a simple concept really.
That said, I think +10 is a more reasonable number and more likely to make some kind of difference in performance than +5.
I think many people forget that GW2 wants to make it easy for people to achieve max stats, and it does a decent job at it. If I just hit 80 and got a full set of exotics from karma/dungeons/events (not too hard to do) then I’m far less likely to care about that guy who spent 500 hours grinding for his legendary having a huge advantage over me in combat.
Oh wow, cant believe people are complaining about this. My first ring was a crappy +73 prec +73 pow +10% MF ring with an offensive infusion slot. I spent the requisite 225 tokens on the infusion and did not regret it, because I had MORE than enough tokens for the versatile infusion. The only reason you should care at all about that extra 150 tokens is that it will slow your progress down to an ascended backpiece by what? 3 daily runs on Lvl.10? Seriously if you’re aiming for an ascended backpiece you had better be prepared to do a LOT of fractal runs anyways.
Get over it, in other words.
I used to play WoW a few years back and back then there were several useful addons developed for it to make the interface better, streamline a lot of processes (like finding out which party members need healing), not to mention the ever-useful quest helper.
Now GW2 has a pretty good interface. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate its stock interface a 7 or so. However it lacks a few things like a good LFG interface, way to select overflows, ability to locate resource nodes that are far away or get data on what type of resources the zone’s nodes give, etc.
Can GW2’s interface be extended or improved through addons? And if so what is the best place to get them from?
I hereby suggest that a ‘notes’ feature be implemented for the friends list. The notes could contain things like ‘LFG Fractals 18’, ‘Good warr to party with for dungeons’, ‘likes jumping puzzles’, ‘fun to party with in wvw’, etc.
This allows us to have more context for which players we have on our friends list and it would be useful to have for those of us who cant remember why everyone who is on our friends list is on our friends list.
I very very much agree with this. The material cost for crafting any dye is already much too high as it is when it would often just be cheaper to buy it on the TP. The fact that rare recipes have any chance of yielding common dyes makes it completely not worth it to craft dyes at all.
Heart NPCs, Exploration, Dynamics Events and Crafting. Nearly anything you can do in GW2 will give you Exp which eliminates the aspect of ‘level grinding’ (doing the same thing over and over again for the most efficient exp gain). Map completion will also give you rewards appropriate to that zone’s level (Note: city zones dont give you much because there are no enemies and they can be explored safely on a Lvl.1 character)
I’ve gained over 20 levels on my main purely from cooking (which I don’t recommend you take up unless you are willing to buy more bank space.) and huntsman, but any craft you take up should also provide a decent boost to your exp gain provided you grab the resources.
I got a ring on my first Lv.10 run and it wasnt a very good ring (Snaffs Gyre: ~80Pow ~80 prec 10% MF – offensive slot). It took me about 10 dailies before I could get another one and it was on Lv.16 when I basically gave up trying for dailies (Doric’s Royal Signet: ~100pow ~80tough ~80 vit – defensive slot).
There appear to be some pretty high tier ones out there that I think are Lv.20+ rings and increase like 5 or 6 different stats.
How is this vague?

Best setup for multi-monitor gaming of course is triple monitors. You need either a high-end video card that does triple monitor (because it would hurt your framerate anyways) or 2 mid-level cards running in SLI/Crossfire.
I tried doing dual-monitor gaming and I don’t think its worth it just because of the extra space between the monitor bezels combined with the fact that it’s split right in the middle which splits up centered things unacceptably (like your character)
