We won’t know, and even if we did by the time you made a forum post about it the price would already be 10,000x higher.
Actually the zerker equivalent for condition damage would be:
Primary: Condition Damage
Second: Condition Duration
Third: Precision
Almost every class has an X condition on crit trait, plus X condition on crit sigils and X condition on crit runes.
They would need to revamp how condition duration works, and make it like ferocity, with a soft cap closer to 200% rather than the current 100% hard cap.
Another viable option would be allow conditions to “crit”, not for double damage, but for double duration.
These changes would also necessitate a ~20% reduction in burn damage to maintain balance.
Guild Wars 2 HoT Release Date? [merged]

I’d be somewhat surprised if it’d be this year at all.
It could be, of course, but given how much is known about the expansion so far I wouldn’t assume it.They have said it will be released in 2015, quite recently as well. They didn’t just say that they aim to release it in 2015 but that they will actually release it in 2015. Of course things could always turn out in such a way that it will not release in 2015, but I doubt it.
Just like there WILL be a new set of legendary weapons in 2013? Or just like they WILL revamp all the dungeons? Or how SAB WILL be back?
I wouldn’t hold your breath for a 2015 release… My prediction remains January, but possibly not until march. Either way I feel very confident in saying that it will NOT be october.
As far as I can tell the trait changes INCREASED build diversity. Before the changes there was 1, maybe 2 viable builds per class.
Now there are 2-6 viable builds per class.
Before the change: 16-24 viable builds, total
After the change: 24-48 viable builds total
If you aren’t playing one of those builds then you probably aren’t qualified to be talking about balance or choices anyway. So for all the players that matter the change more than doubled the viable choices.
I think condition reaper could be good if they increased chill damage ~8x what it currently is.
Burn/Chill in RS + Bleed/poison from scepter means you can keep up condition pressure all the time, even when coming in and out of shroud.
However with the pathetic damage chill does right now it really isn’t worth it just for the faster burn application.
Lol you guys think you’re actually going to see those 3 new legendary weapons? If you really think that then I have a bridge in brooklyn i’d like to sell you…
I mean look at the track record so far:
2013: promise to have a full set of new legendary weapons by the end of the year
2013: (3 months later)- Delayed
2013: (5 months later)- Delayed again and back to the drawing board
2014: Crickets
2015: (April)- Announced a new SET of legendary weapons coming with the expansion
2015: (June)- Announced that only a “handful” of Legendary weapons will be in the expansion with the rest to follow
2015: (August) Announced that only 3 weapons will be in at HoT launch, and only 3 more are planned at this time.
I mean how gullible can you guys get… there are NO legendary weapons, this is just 2013 all over again.
Edit: LOL it is even worse than I thought. They specifically say they are adding 3 new legendary ITEMS at launch… guess what… they already revealed 2 of those to be BACKPACKS. That means at most we are now getting ONE legendary weapon at launch lol.
I wish he had touched on the chill line as well.
There is a whole line in the reaper traits that is dedicated to chills and conditions, yet the chills are terrible, have no synergy and the “grandmaster” trait gives a whopping 2 stacks of bleed worth of damage. Compare that with other grandmaster traits that give professions a 20% damage increase. To put that into perspective, they would need to increase the damage from chill by >5x to match a 20% overall damage increase.
The class also seems to tie chills in with fear, yet reaper gets no access to fear, and even with staff you are looking at a total of 4s of fear every 40s or so. This makes the minor trait essentially useless for every spec except a pure terrormancer spec, and even then it still isn’t great.
My suggestions would be the following:
1. increase the duration and availability of chill back to what it was. You already nerfed chill multiple times, there was no need to nerf the reaper skills on top of that.
2. Increase the damage from chill 5-10×. This is a grandmaster trait, it shouldn’t do less than a single auto attack from every other profession.
3. Give reaper an additional fear. Either through traits, in a shout, or on a weapon. No one is going to “fear the reaper” because he doesn’t have any fear.
Regardless it is no different from current legendaries requiring Gift of Battle forcing them to play some WvW or Gift of Exploration forcing them to do map completion or dungeon-specific gifts requiring them to farm dungeon tokens.
No it isn’t. Someone can straight up buy a legendary without having to do any of that. These things are account bound.
Exactly, you should need to master the whole game, not just 111111111111111111111 spam PvE to get the LEGENDARY item.
I sure hope there are lvl 50+ fractal requirements for the new legendary. And 100+ WVW rank requirements, and 50+ PvP rank requirements, and Dungeoneer requirement.
A legendary weapon should be LEGENDARY
It is a LEGENDARY item… it is supposed to be hard to get. If every lookyloo with 20g could get a legendary item it wouldn’t be very legendary would it?
I already bought the mats needed to make/salvage 100 ascended items with this news. If you can’t do the same then you probably aren’t to the point where you should be pursuing a LEGENDARY item.
Almost 100% chance “challenging group content” is more VW.
Almost 100% chance there will never be another dungeon in GW2.
Set your expectations here and you will probably still be disappointed but much less so than where you currently have your expectations set OP.
Wow, ok, Zudet….wow.
First, your leap of ZOMG why u want something for nothing (and please don’t try to say that isn’t what you were going for there) is exactly that, a leap.
I wanted clarification regarding the legendary back item they spoke of (and more importantly from an actual Anet employee).
Now, disregarding the silliness regarding precursor crafting and them locking it behind the HoT upgrade, I get why they’ve done it…mostly.
My bigger question here regarding this lefedary back item was more about it requiring fractals, since i know many people that don’t touch FoM with a 10 foot pole AND the fact that I knew they were locking the other precursor crafting behind masteries only available to HoT players, so I wanted a solid yes or no from Anet on that front.
Reason being because if the answer was “no” on that second point for some reason, then I’d have some follow up questions for Anet AND if the answer was Yes for the first then I’d have a few more comments to make on it all.
Sure we can assume (and it is just an assumption) that they have some other back items planned for the game of legendary status, but the ETA on those will be fairly nebulous. This means that for the foreseeable future the only one in the game will be this one, and in FoM is a requirement for getting the pre made, then Anet may end up with a lot of angry posts in the forums.
The pictured legendary backpiece is clearly an evolution of the fractal capacitor, a back piece that has only been obtainable by doing fractals, and fractals alone for more than 2 years now.
There is however the possibility that you can just buy the components needed since apparently you can sell the new fractal boxes that drop the fractal loot. The details on what they drop, how you open them and if that’s all you will need are not available so that might be a more focused question to ask.
I find it unlikely they will launch with only a single legendary backpack skin though. I would expect 2-3 at launch with more later. If there is one thing Anet has been good about it is pumping out back skins. They require no animations, no clipping solutions and no character movement considerations so they should be fairly easy to add in rapid succession.
So basically everyone will just do molten bosses from now on?
Those 2 take like 2 minutes tops to kill, I can level 1-100 in 2 hours if they let us just pick what to do.
“how many balls of “dark blobs” do we need”
My money is on a full stack of 250. Yes, I read it all, no I’m not crazy. It’s got to be harder than Mawdrey because it’s a legendary. Heck, if the sharpening stone station can take 5 Deldrimor Steel Ingots, 250 “dark blobs” is nuthin’.
I already bought 250 spiritwood and 250 deldrimor ingots in preparation! Luckily I got them all below crafting cost. Of course i’m pretty sure crafting cost will triple once people see how many you need lol. 250 seems like a reasonable number to me.
Fractals encryption cost will rise to the cost of the ascended rings for salvaging purposes and that will rise to the cost of the cheapest ascended item you can craft. Since silk is still stupid expensive I assume those will be weapons. I should hopefully have enough to get my legendary.
So, am I to understand that this legendary back item can only be obtained if you play fractals?
Also, will the ability to get this also be locked away from people that don’t buy HoT?
Yes and Yes
It did not however say that this would be the only legendary back item. There will probably be more in the future that will not be locked in fractals.
Did you think that you would get access to all the new skins without buying the expansion? What would be the point of the expansion then?

Or, maybe, players like you are the reason all the depressed rangers keep using LB #4 in PvE. No need to learn manners or make friends if everybody is going to be a jerk to you…
Tried that for 2 years, didn’t work. Tried this for 1 week, worked perfectly.

The only way to complete the story was to kill her. If you didn’t kill her then you didn’t complete the story which means you haven’t done it at all yet. So you haven’t even found scarlet. When you do find her you will kill her as there is no choice in the matter.
I see the warhorn is good. Its support.
also the shouts are fine but bound to tempest. I would have tried one or two shouts on my build but specing tempest will cost me about 20% damage and a bit control.
I might try it annyway but when the shouts and overcharge can´t compensate that tempest has nothing :-/. It would work for me when the shouts are on a lower CD. (Adding the -20% to Tempestuous Aria would propably do the job)
As far as I know only the weapon is tied to the specialization, not the utilities.

I think maybe you are just doing it wrong…
Ele’s with cele gear can heal themselves from dead to full 5-6 times using their heals
Guards in toughness/healing gear can face tank lupi
If anything healing power needs a nerf.
The only class where it is really really bad is necro who scale at numbers like 0.04 with a base healing of like 20.
You must be new here
Fix = Nerf
Anytime Anet wants to nerf something but doesn’t really have a reason for it, or don’t want to explain the reason they instead label it a “fix”. This has happened with pretty much every balance patch since launch, it’s not like this is some new trick.
For example, they “fixed” signet of vamp to heal for less. Of course it already basically heals for nothing, which is why no one uses it. There is no reason to reduce the healing it does, even if they tripled it, it would still suck. Yet they somehow felt compelled to reduce the healing. It makes no sense, and has no logic, so therefore it is labeled as a “fix” instead of a nerf.
There is also the possibility of new items with HoT that will use laruels. I would hang onto them until at least then.
There is also a set priority for transfers.
Blind > Weakness, poison, torment, burn, confusion, chill, cripple, vuln > bleed.
I haven’t worked out the other conditions yet but bleed is definately the bottom of the list. If you have more than 3 conditions on you then your self bleeds will stay. If someone else knows the priority on the other conditions feel free to say so.
Your argument is a slippery slope, which by definition is a logical fallacy.
dial back the forum debate olympics and i’ll take you seriously
we know that spinal shivers was never unblockable. the tooltip was changed in the specialization update to say that it was blockable. a bug report was filed noting that it was not actually unblockable. arenanet’s decision, rather than to fix the reported bug that prevented spinal shivers from being unblockable was to decide retroactively that the tooltip and patch note was incorrect, not the functionality
but seriously dude, why don’t you chill out and go take your necro to the spvp esports scene or whatever where you claim it’s viable if it’s so kitten good
show me all those top tier pve necromancers that dnt is using
obviously it’s a victim complex and necros need to get good despite the best players in the world saying it’s trash, right?
in before “you used top level play as a metering statistic therefore you’re doing THE AUTHORITY FALLACY” or whatever because arguing semantics is easier than arguing facts
The argument from authority is also flawed as well unless you have one omnipotent authority that cannot lie, so you’re right, lets not even talk about that.
I must say though, I have little interest in PvE due to the reptition involved, but even I can name a PvE necro that knows whats up.
And like I said, most of us won’t do speedclears, so is it really a big deal to play necromancer, even though its not considered optimal? If you do a speedclear then its fine to not have to use a necro, but so few of you will actually do this, that whining about necro do its lack of speedclear potential is pointless.
Moving on, PvP is what I do. Now I’m not the best player in the world, but I do know a lot about the game and follow a lot of top players. And there are quite a few running necro in tourneys right now. Noscoc is obviously the main and most successful one, but others exist such as Sunfish, OP Necro, Pheownix, and many others in other tourneys besides the weekly ESLs. While you can’t consider Necro the be as META as thief, ele, guard, mesmer, and warrior right now, its readily apparent that Necro is just under meta-status comapred to them. In fact with the rampage nerf today, and the likely switch of mantra mes to PU zerk (non-interrupt based), I think we’ll see even more necros. If that happens, I don’t think it’d be impossible for cele necro to take over zerker warrior’s spot in the meta, but thats just a prediction. Time will tell if I’m right or not though.
And I’m just stating what I’ve seen from casual observation, I’m not telling you what top players say about necro in pvp, because that would be the authority argument that we already decided is illogical.
So what do we do? Do we just sit here and whine about things like spinal shivers? Or do we play the game and show everyone what the necromancer can really do?
So your argument is that even though every other class is better than necro (your own words not mine) we should just suck it up and play with a sub-par class and not try to get the class fixed?
“Necro the be as META as thief, ele, guard, mesmer, and warrior right now, its readily apparent that Necro is just under meta-status comapred to them.”
Additionally HoT has been repeatedly totted as bringing challenging group content. We should be striving for a class that has a place in this content, not one that is left out of the content for 6 months until it is maybe possibly balanced at some point in the future.
Honestly I think with a few more nerfs to other classes, necro could find a place in higher level PvP. However PvE we are soooo far behind, with fundamental flaws that we will need some major reworks before HoT to be viable.
Actually, HoM is still broken
Lol… well that figures
I can’t believe we got nerfs while other classes continue their power creep. It’s really beyond me at the moment to comprehend.
I can only assume that all the devs currently play mesmer. It is completely ridiculous that they “fixed” (buffed) so many things on memser when they are already stupidly OP.
More nerfs even though we are already bottom tier… I really just don’t know what to say anymore…
Nerfed my self applied conditions, nerfed spinal shivers, nerfed signet of vampirism, nerfed holy martyr… I guess we were just too awesome to be viable.
I bet A-NET hasn’t even started work on the Warrior, Thief and Engi elite specs yet. With how slow things are going and the lack of legitimate updates on the game’s progress, I’m not optimistic about HoT releasing this year.
I don’t know why anyone thought it would be out this year to be honest.
They are still working on getting things in the game from 2013.
I would expect January as being the most probable release window. I also don’t expect we will see any content or festivals in that time either.
I highly doubt we will even see Halloween this year.

Draknar Necros are not stupid strong in pvp, the cele signet build is the first decent all around build necros have ever had. If your team can’t kill a terrormancer or powermancer in pvp it’s cause your bad. Necros in pvp can be countered completely because of large cast times and inability to get out of focus fire.
I disagree completely. The giant health pool, constant conditions, they are one of the strongest PvP classes in the game. Even with 2 or 3 condition removal abilities it does nothing against them.
Maybe you haven’t been playing against good condi necros? Because they clean up in PvP.
Maybe you can show us all these awesome necros playing high level PvP at the upcoming PvP tournament? Surely since necros are so good they will be highly represented there right?
I hope they DON’T show more of the maps. When gw2 was announced they didn’t preview all the maps and the quests. We need some surprises on release.
I agree they probably won’t show the maps… that leaves:
5 specializations
Hard Content
Legendaries
I’m assuming they will bury the legendary’s and they won’t be mentioned or heard of again until 6 months after HoT release. Latest I heard was that we were getting a maximum of 3 legendary weapons at HoT launch.
We aren’t getting a specialization this week it seems.
So basically the only thing left is hard content reveal. Which of course is the deciding factor for many people on whether or not they buy the expansion so I’m thinking Anet will wait until the last possible moment to reveal it as to reduce the chance of people getting mad.
Then of course there is the ever elusive release date, which I suspect won’t be revealed until the 3rd anniversary.

necro has always struggled in group pve.
-No evades/blocks
-No access to vigor either, but that’s ok because:
-mark of evasion procs out of combat, making stealth skips more difficult
-Their warhorn swiftness skill easily puts them in combat. Making stealth skips more difficult. So they have to waste a utility slot just for swiftness.
-They are literally the only class without any access to reflects.
-No group offensive buffs.
-NO BLASTS, kitten that’s the main teamwork in this game.
-The few blinds they have are way less useful than thieves blinds
-Terrible dps
-Also terrible movement skills. Deathshroud teleport puts them in combat and is almost the same speed as walking. Wurm will easily put them in combat too. Oh, they can teleport back to where they were 15 seconds ago, great thats useful in arah to run the jotun stone, light orb solos, cof running bombs, etc. Except a mesmer can do that for the entire team and provide reflects, and provide timewarp, and provide stealth, and have better dps and still evade damage. So what do they bring to the table? Chill? Ele does it better with a LOT more dps/utility/blasts. Brazil has some cool videos showing the group heal/res abilities of a necro, and I give him a lot of credit for trying to improve the situation. Because it is complete bull kitten to players that rolled necro however long ago without knowing what they were signing up for.
3 years into the game, its no longer the players faults for being elitist/exclusionary, its anet’s fault for not balancing it. And then they give necros non group oriented shouts. LOL are you kidding me? Are. you. kidding. me.
To be fair they did fix mark of evasion!
However everything else you said is spot on.
And lol at people arguing about keeping dungeon runs under 30 min. You guys have been allowing too many necros into your parties. Most of the zerker pug groups I join with my ele finish dungeons in 8-12 minutes. If your dungeons are taking 30 minutes then you are part of the problem.
considering the reward is a permanent version of the vendor that allows you to buy the items from anywhere in the world I think it is safe to say he is staying around.
If it is as bad as you say it is it’s actually a good thing. It makes dedicated support mandatory for Half-Baked.
FTFY, and yes, that’s bad for GW2.
We just don’t do it since it’s been mostly bugged since the beginning of it. We just do the easier ones and get the comms.
Do you realize that a dedicated support will be required for the HoT challenging content?
You do realize that a dedicated support twill certainly not be required for the HoT challenging content right?
This game is fun!

It is also the reasoning behind revenant ventari/staff spec.
It seems that I need to clarify that I won’t be playing support or have the intention to do so I have been playing glass canon builds for over 10 years…
So from the same guy who said dungeons in GW2 were so hard that no one in the Anet QA team had ever beaten them before launch… yeah I think i’m safe lol.
They can’t even keep up with gem store updates they are so far behind on HoT… what makes you think they will have time to implement an entire festival?
I would expect a gemstore sale with Halloween items and nothing else.

If you somehow think this post is supposed to say that necro is useful then I don’t think we can help you as you fundamentally misunderstand how GW2 combat works.
Yeah, I mean what use do hitpoints, revives, light fields, and area of effect debuffing have in this game? Everyone knows that Vulnerability doesn’t increase your damage and everyone has an unlimited supply of HP
/snark
My elementalist with 9k hp goes down exactly as many times as my necro does… almost never.
I have no use for revives as I don’t go down and neither does any other good player
light fields are quite possibly the worst thing that exists in this game as they overwrite actual good fields
Why would I waste my time debuffing an enemy when no one ever goes down?
Vuln is naturally applied by every class, and is always capped at 25 in a competent group.
I do have an unlimited amount of HP because my teammates understand the combat system and use blinds, blocks, reflects, and positioning to avoid 99% of all incoming damage, the 1% that does get through is easily recovered via self or passive healing.
As I expected you have no idea how GW2 combat works and as such your opinion is of little consequence. I’d rather discuss this with players who understand the game and the problems and subtleties of it. Please keep your factually wrong statements out of the discussion as they distract from the actual issues, thank you.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Category:Omni_infusions
Sorry you don’t get to cheat the system. I spent 1200g for my infusions, I don’t see why you should get them for 10g.
Well ele’s got another blind field on a wepon skill that blows ours out of the water, so much for our last bit of “utility”
Didn’t they say this expansion lays the foundations and will make future expansions easier to do somewhere? I wonder what that was referring too?
I’m pretty sure they’ve said that about every single feature and patch since launch. So far it hasn’t helped anything.

Ok I need to get some facts straight quickly for some necro fans over here :
- Necro is NOT at the bottom of the DPS scale for dungeon speed clearing. Damage is actually on par with rangers and lower than warriors.
- Necro is not appreciated because what they bring to a group (boon control, vuln and condi cleanse) is done better by other classes.
- The reaper GS can hit while you move and has a chill on 3rd AA chain. I fail to see why hitting moving targets is impossible
- As other said, the numbers are not final and betas will help the dev adjust them
- If you look beyond the speed clear meta which is a niche activity that is practiced by a tiny minority of players, you’ll realise that a necro has lots of strengths and is very enjoyable to play (e.g : the necro are extremely efficient in the silverwastes).
Can the necro community stop having this inferiority complex that is unjustified and boring in the long run.
- I’d love to see your numbers on this
- not only is it done better it is also not needed in PvE. the one thing we do very well is transfer conditions and strip boons. Well enemies apply 10s boons every 5s while out boon strips have 50s CDs… worthless. Enemies purge conditions almost continuously while our transfers have long CD’s.
- clearly you’ve never tried to catch someone with a Necro. We have 0 mobility. A thief/mesmer/warrior/ele/ranger could be halfway across a map before we even ran a single body length, good luck landing a melee chill with a slow swinging attack lol
- being fun to play has pretty much nothing to do with this discussion. platformers are fun to play too and you do 0 damage in them.We offer no finishers, no helpful fields, our new team support gives a wonderful 30 damage/healing per attack… and when we cause our team to fail due to lack of support and damage we can at least teleport their bodies onto us to show them we are the most likely reason they died.
I run a frontline dps/support hybrid necro in the Silverwastes (the only PvE I do outside of the occasional world boss) and WvWvW, and I am really, really effective in groups. Consider, if you will, the following:
- 3k-4k AoE Healing on Shroud 4 plus revive and teleporting downed allies out of danger.
*1.5k-2k AoE Healing upon Exiting Shroud- Increased revive speed plus AoE Heal and Light Field on Revive
- Consistent 3k-4k autoattacks in Death Shroud
- Pulsing AoE Vuln and Vuln on AutoAttack in Death Shroud
- Not necessarily a support or dps feature, but I have a 7k heal on my utility bar in addition to my slotted heal skill, which heals for 4.6k + additional lifesteal
- I don’t even run Vampiric Aura (I get more use out of Banshee’s Wail)
- Above numbers achieved with all Exotic Gear
Necro is far from useless in PvE and WvWvW, and can provide plenty of support as is.
Honestly though, I don’t really care about the top tier meta or Dungeon Speed Clearing. Necromancer is fun for me, so I play it. If it’s not fun for you, then there’s plenty of other classes.
If you somehow think this post is supposed to say that necro is useful then I don’t think we can help you as you fundamentally misunderstand how GW2 combat works.

I was so happy, emphasis on was……
Now,
I have this nagging feeling they only started working on the expansion like maybe a month before announcing it.
Why do I think this ?
If they were truly working on this Xpack since 18 months ago, there would be a lot more progress to be seen……
Still,
Since this game has given me so much and I’ve enjoyed this mmo far longer than I’ve played any other crappy mmo out there.
I decided to pre-purchase HoT.
No regrets, but I’d like to see some REAL progress !
Soon ™
Is the announcement process for HoT unusual? I admit I don’t usually follow most games this closely, but I can’t think of any that have announced every single detail ahead of release, certainly not as they finish working on it.
It is just slower. They are unlikely to show us all the maps, but usually you are told how many maps there are as a key selling point of the expansion, so far we have only seen or been told about 1 level of 1 map.
Usually the number of raids/dungeons (challenging content) is also a key selling point and is shown in multiple trailers, teasers, and given a fair amount of detail (nothing on this yet)
Usually the new sets of armor and weapons are shown off (nothing on this yet)
Usually the expansion is launched ~6 months after announcement, though sometimes it can stretch to up to a year in advance. People are getting antsy since we don’t even have a release date yet.
Usually the release schedule and festivals continue as normal during expansion development (2 separate teams) it appears everyone at Anet is working on the expansion and they have no other team to release new content and festivals. We have gotten the pre-expansion balance patch though which is usually a sign that the expansion is getting closer.
I think people were expecting the expansion to launch for the anniversary in August. If that is what you are thinking then Anet is waaayyyy behind and the expansion would have to be released 50% uncompleted. A more realistic release date is November-Janurary in which case we are pretty much on par with what one would expect.

Maybe my memory sucks, but I remember reaper attacking pretty fast and gs being slow. You don’t have to use the gs outside of reaper ya know.
Sword was slower than the Reaper Shroud attack, but it’s all relative. A thief hitting for 50 every half a second is the same as a Necro hitting for 200 every 2 seconds. The problem is the thief is hitting for 50 and the necro is hitting for 50. That’s why it’s too early to complain about actual numbers unless we’re talking about the Necromancer as opposed to the Reaper.
Those aren’t equal at all in GW2. Here is a common scenario over 4s of play:
1. thief hits for 50, thief hits for 50, target dodges, thief hits for 50, thief hits for 50, target blocks, target blocks, thief hits for 50.
total of 250 dmg over 4s
2. target dodges, target blocks
total of 0 damage over 4s
Target didn’t even have to use both his blocks against the reaper
Slow attacks have no place in a game with active defenses like GW2 because they disproportionately punish slow attacks over fast attackers.
This is a PvE thread…
And for WvW/PvP, the attacks weren’t much slower than the slow weapons for other classes that get plenty of play. Hammers for Warriors and Guardians for example. Only one attack feels out of place, and that’s still only a little high in comparison.
Yeah cause everyone runs a hammer warrior/guard in PvE…. Thanks for proving me point for me though.
Also I was assuming that enemies in the new challenging content would do things like dodge and block, thus the challenging part. Won’t be very challenging if they just stand there and eat the damage.

I feel like this skill would be infinitely more useful if they changed it to grant 5s of alacrity. with a 30-kitten CD, like a different version of the guardian elite.

Wow you are very optimistic about the release date. It is pretty much standard to give the release date out 3-4 months ahead of launch minimum, sometimes as much as 6 months.
We are missing almost all the zones, 5 specializations, masteries, legendary weapons, balance, WvW changes, we haven’t seen a single new weapon/ armor set yet, and there will almost certainly be 1-2 weeks of open beta.
I’d say release is going to be around January, at the earliest. Which is why there haven’t been many beta events, they don’t have any of the content ready to show us yet.
Well it seems to me that the Dev in the video doesn’t agree with you he clearly states the release to be this summer.
lol good luck with that

It seems unlikely they will ever fix necro because doing so would mean admitting they were wrong and reworking DS from the ground up.

Their code for nerfing looks something like this:
if (necro)
nerf = yes
else
nerf = no

She has also said stuff about giving us new armor sets to earn in the game to balance out the loads of cash shop outfits. Until it happens, I’ll believe it when I see it.
So, when did we get the last armor skin in the gem store as opposed to in-game?
I don’t know if you quoted the wrong person or what, but timing is not even close to the same thing as frequency.
We’ve gotten 2 in-game armor sets since launch. We’ve gotten 2 additional “partial” armor sets as well.
Gem store we’ve gotten 14 armor sets, 10 partial armor sets, and 17 outfits
So hopefully that answers your question.
Edit: Forgot about PvP, don’t play a whole lot, add 1 more in-game fora total of 3.
