Neverwinter night 1 complete the same over 10 years ago.
Should not this games be free by now or about 1 euro then 20 euro?

On GOG they’re much cheaper than 20 euro, even less during sales.

18.29 euro is not that much cheaper still this game is way older then GW2 and its not free or at a difference from heaven to earth in price as time went on.
Veterans should pay at most 40 euro but preferably less. We should not pay for the game again.
And as the user above me said we wah wah wah but we will do that until the devs and white knights like him get it.i am pretty sure we have more numbers.

Elder Scrolls:Oblivion for example is almost like 10 years ago and still the same price as the original. The same with Morrowind.

Guild Wars 2 is almost 3 years old. At about this time, games are regularly sold for bargain bin prices or outright given away. The only real issue was the invalidation of recent sales of the core game (made under false information), and they’ve addressed that issue, plus many other sources of the community’s incessant whining, swimmingly with the community address.

Destiny is about a year old – pretty young for an online game – and its expansions are practically fresh out of the oven. And now it’s going to invalidate those very recent purchases – or punish players for having made them in the first place, by bundling them all into an infinitely cheaper deal.

We are not buying cars what you said is bullkitten. Games do not degrade the older they are stop being so manipulated.

im not sure if youre joking or not. I paid 60+ for guild wars 2 and have 5000 hours. I paid 60 dollars for batman and finished it in 12 hours. The expansion will have more content than batman. im not sure I understand…

Wait you payed 60 dollar for the new piece of kitten Batman game that is stuck at 30 fps and is full of annoying mini games that make no sense.
Well I can say one thing we have different view on what is valuable content for a 50$ video game. I do not know who is right but this is the reason we complain we think there should be more for those money.

Wait is the game with subscription I thought that it was like GW 2 where you pay for the game and that is all. The devs gain money trough ingame shops that are usually cosmetics or small boons.

It’s in everyone’s right to buy the expansion or to not buy it. And it’s very likely that if you just now loved walking through the new Lion’s Arch, that that was possible because someone threw money “mindlessly” at ArenaNet. It’s like having a ticket to the amusement park for free because someone else paid twice.

No, if you would buy an expansion for $50,- every year (if Anet had given that opportunity) that would also have easily funded the game (it might have even earned them more).

The fact that they did not give that opportunity is because they could indeed earn the money with those items.

Personally I would much rather have had to pay that $50,- on a yearly base and then have those items in the game as fun rewards for content, crafts and so on. So I do not see it as a positive that those people pay for it because imho because of that I also get a lesser product for it. I the rather did have spent more money on it and get a better product for it.

anyway, this is going to much into another direction, all I asked was how those people find the $50,- not worth the content (not saying that’s not valid) the expansion gives but do find a single wing worth 1/8 the price of the expansion.

That you can optain without spending extra real money as I said. The expansion actually is real money. What so hard to understand we need more value from things that we buy with real money especially at 50$.

There is only one MMO that can and does drain its player base of money and that is WOW I do not know why people put up with it. The rest of MMO’s on the other hand if they tried that well they suffered a lot and went free to play. If Arena net tries to do what WOW did they will go the way of every other MMO that is not the exception.
Do not copy WOW in prices or anything because that is business practice you can not do.
Also SWOTOR latest expansion was 20 dollars.

Like I said.. or do they grind for the gems.. but then the question rises if that is any fun. I mean grinding is such a boring brainless task.

Gold is easy to optain if you do a lot of dungeons or fractals and for PVE that is the most fun thing you can do.
You also get a lot of gold in doing WVW. You get gold just by playing and enjoying the game.
I never grinded in this game and I have over 100 gold that I do not even need to use for anything.

I showed them, 3 copies of GW2 in my house that won’t get updated till they sell it at a fair price.

Price whining is completely ignored by Anet.. it does nothing at all to whine about price.

half true – server infrastructure, customer service (and theirs is good), marketing expenses etc. – these things are real and grow along with more sales. Though it’s also hard to call this good fully limited by production costs per unit.

This is where Anet many and many companies make mistakes in marketing you can get more exposure by using twiter, facebook and you tube for free then you do by spending millions to see your product on some site where its a bother.

If people wanna pay for that its their business and choice but they could be people that have a lot of disposable income to put it like that for diverse reasons, but I wanna think that most players of any game do not have a lot of disposable income they are at the start of their road in their 20’s and early 30’s meaning a lot of what they win goes to savings for whatever or have other issues.
But this are the people who can make or break a game and pricing a expansion for 50$ is not worth it and what they did is a kitten practice that must change and for Arena net to get it, I say do not buy it because if you do so they will see the error of their ways and lower the price. They need the income from this expansion but they got greedy as blizzard did and many others lets teach them to not be the lazy greedy kitten game company like blizzard and many other are.

Anet and this game barely gets any attention most went to witcher 3 to E3 and the games that appeared there and the new steam refund policy. Well this is what most watched gaming related shows on you tube talk about.
They kinda failed with the hype.

Vote with your money do they really think the expansion would be a success if most veteran players will not buy it? Hell now they will not even gather 1/3 of the current veteran player base by selling it to new player the game.

Yes let them fall or else they are gonna keep thinking that they can make less content and of less quality for the same price of the base game. They will reach a point where they will sell us a expansion 1/3 the size of HOT at same price with even less features.

They specifically say new races are on the table. So I do expect them at some point. Though I really wasn’t expecting one for this xpac.

Yeah there might be but I doubt it I just think is to expensive to be worth the cost and in the end Arenanet are business. I just do not believe it its just to expensive for the company. Look at SWOTOR do any of you think that they will ever have new class stories because I do not they simply lack the resources and ArenaNet is in a simillar situation.

I wonder if there will be new dungeons because I hate pvp and WVW and after a week the expansion is wortless for as I hate farming.

Expansions for GW1 didn’t include new races. What we got were new classes, new profession-specific weaps, new areas, new storylines, new skills, etc.

I was satisfied with the standalone-slash-expansions for the original games and have found the Living World and other add-on content fairly enjoyable.

Even if HoT isn’t a large expansion, ANet has earned enough of my trust over the years for me to know that the ride – even if it’s not quite perfect – will be worth the cost of admission.

That is because the lore only allowed one playable race and that is human. You start with 1 race there but in here there are more playable races like in WoW an people think that because WoW had new races in its expansions there will be one here also. They are wrong because Blizzard was a lot more resources to do that.

First of all considering that a races in this game have their own zone, city and story we are not gonna have a new race in this game. Arenanet is not Blizzard who is the only company that has the resources to add a new class and a new race and a new area for it and new skills and new stories and another area besides that in one expansion. It sucks but when you are small you do small things.

Will level 80 still be the cap or there will be more levels after level 80 also if there are will be able to use the experience we gained until now after we reached level 80 to get to the new level cap?

Are expansion at the same price as the base game or are cheaper usually? I know that in some MMO they are cheaper what about in this game by taking GW 1 as a precedent?

Okay first of all the PC is a very very influential hero no matter the race and he is also one of the strongest if not the strongest non dragon champion or non-Diety the races have. Lets not forget that the PC saved the leadership of the races by defeating a Dragon Champion and forcing his army to retreat. I think if they use a cool head they will realize that will bring more problems if they make him a enemy.

I believe that the PC is not as strong as the dragon champion, lore-wise. They had help to take it down (even if, gameplay-wise, that help was almost irrelevant).

There is only 3 things you have to do avoid the red and orange circles, kill the shadows and kill the vines.

Well we know that the iron legion imperator has the crown of the khan but his problem is that he has to prove that he deserves that title with a great feat. Eliminating the ghosts will have been a great feat but it did not happen. With the legions being at peace with all major races he can not prove himself in battle.
So what feat do you all think the iron legion imperator has to accomplish so he can become a khan?
My opinion he and his legion kills the elder dragon that created the dragonbrand.

And yet we killed Zaithan with cannons on a airship to prove how kitten we are for bombing someone.

And Kralkatorrik isn’t a crystal dragon. He is explicitly seen and stated to have flesh and scales and is known to bleed – though his blood does crystallize when it coagulates. Unless you want to say that this is crystal. There are better angles of him in GW1, which clearly show scales.

How did Destiny Edge made him bleed id they bomb him because a swords or knife is like trying to get blood from a human with very rough skin with a 1/4 of a toothpick. You can but it takes so much time that the DE did not have.

I mean the PC mostly beats things up for others he does not do a lot of planning or makes a lot of tactics he just beats.

Is the PC the leader of a guild?
Is he no matter the class a enforces or usually the muscle in any attack against well dragon problems?
Is the Fractals thing part of the lore?

As for the possibility of just chipping away at a dragon until it’s gone, we saw in the Zhaitan fight that it had a pain response, or at least an equivalent reaction to damage. That being the case, anything that could hurt it should also be capable of awakening it.

I mean when they slept and were made of rock I doubt that then they could feel pain someone gave the example of the Azura and Primordius.

Their VISION is not important? Also we the playerbase do not have 1 opinion on how things should be in this game we have thousands.
