Right now.activating it isnt even worth it in most cases.
This is worth noting in particular because there are very very few situations where Signet of Locust is even worth pressing. You need to have 5 targets in range for it to do much for you, and unless you’re traited for it, it won’t even do that much healing. It’s really a very bad Signet because, like Healing Signet, you should never activate it ever.
No your right i miss read. He say all necros have access to DS. And.if.you build is.not focused around DS then you are not traited towards.DS and dont get stability.
And yes you agree activating SoL is hardly ever worth it.
But saying that signets.should never.be.activated makes absolutely no sense. If they were.not.ment.to.be.activated the there.would.be.no activated cost. Right now.it.is.norlt worth anything but.with 3 sec stab makes it worth taking.

Mesmer sig are worth it.
Ranger sigs so so id have.to make a pet ranger and see how.they work 1rst
Theives sig of agility is the only one i see not truely worth it.

But necro sig of locus is not really worth using active at all. Health it siphs aint even worth it.
You’re actually doing the same as him, cuz certain necro builds have a very limited access to Death Shroud. People see it as another 20k of health, in fact that bar is empty way more quickly than they think. Necro’s do not have continuous access to Death Shroud, while some other professions have very low cooldowns before they have access to stability again. This is one of the reasons that the downstate of necro’s is pretty bad. This topic is not meant to become the same as a warrior or guardian, but the necro have NONE access to stability. And that, you can consider out of balance.
So which necro build do you use that does not have access to DS? Unless you can explain that, Those two are no where near suggesting the same thing.
The opinion of the down state for the necromancer is subjective. Personally I feel it is the 3rd best, behind thief, and mesmer, of coarse the situation and location of where you are downed can change the value greatly.

Well of power pulses it.
Lich form offers 30s of stability.
Plague form grants 20s of stability.
Foot in the grave grants 3s of stability when in DS.With boon duration build you can have 5 seconds of stability upon entering DS.
I see one of two problems here. Either you still have a bit of learning to do of your profession, which happens sometimes when you are new to it, but also means you probably shouldn’t lecture on it, or you are intentionally making false suggestions for the sake of your argument.
You claim not having stability or limited access to it is out of balance, so are you suggesting thief needs more stability? as necros have more then thief.
My well build does.jot.benefit. from DS saying that all necros build around Ds is ignorant.
Ds needs to.get looked at in general. And a couple.seconds.of stability on a.signet will.not.hurt anything. Right now.activating it isnt even worth it in most cases.

3 is kind of a odd ball but retal is aswome vrs karge.numbers and has.saved.my life so.many times.

As for DS it.completely negates my healing effect.
In every fite i am getting heal due to wells the second i pop ds that healing no longer affects me. Not every necro build needs ds and if you think they do you are.being ignorant

I run a hybrid build sword\shield in spvp and do pretty good with it.
Mostly stunns and bleed damage. I keep LB on for any one.who tries and.kites me ill.post when i get the chance.

Jusy because it predictable doesnt mean i dodge.it every time. Skills.on.cooldown no juice to dodge. So ya it hits me sometimes.

Now i get hit.by moa why am i being stooed from becoming lich after that.

Had a warrior rage at me for using “cheat condition build”, and “cheat perplexity” even though I don’t use perplexity runes, then rage at my use of torment, as that makes me a condition build. I tried to explain it was on scepter 2 but it didn’t matter, it was cheating. If you use condi you have no skill, apparently. If you’re pure power with no condi food etc, then you’re playing with pure skill. Made me a little sad to see this guy steeped so heavily in his own scrub thinking instead of playing to win. Anyway, I decided to make a video and chat log of the whole episode.

You can’t just add 1 weapon to one class. They would have to add at least one to every class. You really want to give warriors another weapon….Think things through. If you want relative string something needs to be changed or buffed. Adding is not the proper way to scale a MMO ever. Just leads to more and more crap that is unrefined/unbalanced. That’s why it has taken this long just to add the XIII GM traits. New weapons would be fun but we will surely get the short end compared to the favored classes.
And per chance how often do you use staff #1 really. Basically while you wait for DS or weapons swap to come back after doing the staff rotation.

On the other hand, 3k is a very average Ghastly Claws for me with a carrion amulet and pack runes. No Signet of Spite or might stacking required.

And 3k is my average i will not always have max.conditions on my target so i saw.no point to boast that i hit 6k all the time. The poison on the auto attack is so valuable, HS warriors melt to me.
Yes axe 2 hits like a freight truck.
Vitality for.necros.is.much more valuable then toughness.
Unless you have a high healing build were toughness matters more.
I have a rather fun build in spvp with 2700 toughness and 21k-24khp that is incredible hard to kill.
But in wvw go with vitality.
You can make builds that do not focus on ds. Will you use ds yes, it will ne your emergence button.
I personaly dislike being forced to use ds so i dont most of the time.
Scepter can be used as a condition or hybrid weapon.(go to the ‘toughness’ post in this forum if you disagree, i dont wanna start another argument on it here)

3k would be a best case scenario critical hit with 10 stacks of might, at least 5 conditions on your opponent who also happens to be below 50% hp at that time.

I think the biggest problem is just the lack of mobility for the profession.
The class is too kitten slow to do anything other than AFK on a point to guard it from thieves. Maybe a stun break on the movement speed signet would help, but the profession is just lapped by the land speed of other classes, especially classes with z-axis teleports.
10-15% speed for quickening thirst and 25% from signet. Necros dont have a have movement issues, you just have to chose what you want.

Yes i know axe is a power weapon. But scepter is a ‘hybrid’ weapon able to do power and conditions.
For.hybrids. i would go scepter, to me axe is more of a power weapon.
Also i like hight toughness builds for.some reason. Like one if my spvp builds has 2700

Life Force should have never been an actual second health bar. It should be a pool, which we would use as another health bar maybe, but also for supporting and utility via 6-0 skills in DS, using LF as a resouce.

I run a vampire build so going into ds negates my healing. IT has its ups dont get me wrong. But.like.i said when.i pop ds my healing is useless i would love.if.i could use.life force for.anything else…bi dont need a second health bar.
I would.love to see a trait or something that boosted.damage at the cost of life force per spell cast.
That gives you the option to utilize ds or use.life.force as a boost instead.and not be reliant on ds
Come on you got TWICE more health than an ele and all your skills do equivalent damage in instant casting time (ele skills half as powerful as hundread blades take 5 seconds to cast). On top of that Warriors can run away from battle faster than all other classes. A small regen nerf isn’t even going to be noticeable.

My vimpire well build eats minion mancers for breakfast. Makes me verry tanky and has decent burst. Axe/horn/focus.

Overdramatic much? We were playing warriors when they were considered free kills and had a good success rate even then. In fact, learning to play with disadvantages , using the terrain to block/hide from ranged and making optimal use of our rotations made us better players.
Those of us who kept playing warrior (and we kitten love it) were also there when we were hit hard with damage nerfs on most of our weapons and a good number of traits.
We will still be killing everyone that cant dedicate the time to learn about the class and its weaknesses. Healing signet nerf is minimal. Im more interested to see how much the active will be buffed. Im honestly looking at this as a big buff rather than a nerf.

Dude chill. Here is one thing i know those of us who have been playing wars will continue. To. Like you said lots of us have been playing wars since they were easy target and we are still here. ^ this. I play a wellomancer in pve and I guess they are fine in pve… But in PvP they absolutely suck. No moron is going to stand in one and its difficult to lock someone down long enough for them to be effective. Something needs to be donee with them…. Increase in size or duration or reduced cd.
I play leeching wellomancer in spvp and im usual top player verry effective ( against minion masters i havent lost unless theres 2 or more.

Thieves don’t just become stealthed for free. If you want to enter stealth, it has a cost, and it can be countered (save blinding powder). Either dodging C&D or stopping a bp->hs will kitten up a thief’s ini. Less ini=‘s less damage/defence capabilities. What some players seem to want is a way to stop them from entering stealth and a way to remove them from stealth after… that’s not balanced.
I play a thief. I know how to.cut in and out of stealth. And i know that thief takes skill to play effectively. And i have no request to stop thieves from entering stealth and i dont want ways to remove stealth. But if a stealth attack should fail thats a diffrent story. Sneak up behind me and miss punching me in the back of the head ima whirl around a knock u out.

Charge, Heartseeker, Leap of Faith, savage leap, monarch’s leap, etc, etc, etc…these really need to be changed to be used at a target, would fix a lot of mobility issues in wvw.

the problem in this game is that gap closers and escape mechanisms have been rolled into 1. Seperate them.
Gap closers should be used to close gaps regardless if it lands any damage or not, the point of having a gap closer is to get closer to your target to be able to do damage with your primary damage dealing attacks, or get close enough for a pull, or cripple, or immob, etc. Any damage that an actual gap closer does is an afterthought.
Escape mechanisms should be used to escape, instead, escape mechanisms are too few and gap closers are used as such.
In addition, the most common use of gap closers in the game is not to close gap, but to increase overall landspeed. This is very wrong.
So if i wanna get to you and kill you i use gap closers. You are my tarhet and i want to get there as fast as i can.
Now if i want to get the hell away from you. That hillside in the opposite. Direction. Is my target and i wanna closer that gap to. Ill use gap closers. Seems like they are working as intended
I’ve come to the conclusion that arena-net just doesn’t give a kitten anymore. There isn’t any excuse. Something should have been done over a month ago. Instead we have red posts talking about buffing the active on healing signet before nerfing the passive. There are so many reasons why heal sig is the best heal in the game by far and there’s talk of a buff before a nerf can happen?
Guys, your game is dying. Players are quitting left and right. People are kittening sick of this and you need to get it through your head that we’ve been dealing with healing signet and it’s meta-destroying effects for months. Further inactivity only makes us lose more faith in this game.

This response is expected from a typical warrior player. They don’t realize how incredibly ez-mode that class is. Playing warrior requires perhaps 20% the skill required to play anything else in this game. You literally need to be like 5x better than the person playing warrior in order to down him/her.

Coming from some.one who plays a mesmer lol. Talk about easy mode. He is right what it comes down to is people are not use to having to actualy use skill to defeat warriors. Here try this exercise. Wright down all the classes and how much % they beat u and why
Ill give u a example.
Warriors – 50% – stunns
Thieves- 65% – stealth
Ele – 45% – steady dps
Gaurd – 55% – boons
Mesmer – 60% – clones
Ranger – 50% – kite (65% to spirit rangers
Necro – 50% – fear/hvy condi pressure
Engi – 60% – boons
Answer the truth and u will realize that warriors are not as elite as you think.
I play a tanky buikd with decent damage off my axe. Switch ti scepter to weaken the regen or use poisen cloud. If u wanna kite wurm is.perfict
I can see the future now players just standing still taking turns hitting each other. Also a zerker warrior barly has 2k armor if that. I have a necro build that has high burst damage and 2.7k armor ya in light armor.
