So your fine with a class forced to rely. On all the other classes for support. What about people who solo. Or roam on wvw. They should always lose to other classes?? Yes i agree with you on some points but thats were skilled wars will surpass. Some one who can pay attention to their target will be able to get heals off easly. I run 2 war builds in spvp tanky condi s/sh, s/s with HS and zerker with gs/hammer with burst heal. And i usual kill other zerker wars who us HS with mine. Ive also been testing a m/s build witch could.use.some more testing but HS is less effective for that build also.
People just dont.like the idea of HS they dont know how to.handle.it.
Basically, you want the same sustain of low hp classes, while retaining high hp.
Also, in any mode beside pvp, talking about what they don’t have is quite useless, as protection and aegis are given to allies as well…thus they have them on top of their personal sustain.

@Dagins – the problem with HS. Is people think its better then warriors other heals when its not. Zerkers builds benefit from burst heals way more then HS people just dont realize that.

I think it would be fine being worse than any other warrior heal since its purely passive and the lazy person choice. Like it used to be.
A passive ability(any class) should never be as good choice or better than a active ability.
Yes but the main problem is wars lack sustain. They dont have the access that all the other classes get. Talking about passives like gaurds aegis, they dont have to do.anything to negate a complete attk. Or the fact that all a ele has to do is switch to water and heal right up.

You don’t look at the total picture, it is the warriors ONLY way of sustain. All other classes have different skills that heal them aswel. Warriors only have that by heavily investing in a line sacrificing a lot of damage.
Now, you only need 26% poison uptime to make healing signet heal LESS than healing surge. And any good player will clean off poison and use stability or take a moment in which they can’t be interrupted to pop their heal.
Drop healing signet to 350HPS and NOBODY in his right mind would take it. Because, face it, burst heals are better than regen. Because the healing signet is immensely vulnerable to burst, if a healing signet warrior gets focused, he’ll melt. Yes, he’ll melt. Endure pain will only safe his kitten for 4s longer.
They were not going to higher the healing from the active, but make it more appealing to use it in a fight.
Drop it by 20-30% and everyone will go healing surge for roaming and defiant stance for zerging. And people using healing signet will be called nub again. Take it from an experienced warrior player. There is nothing wrong with healing signet.
ps.: HS loses healing potential aswel when you are full health and not getting damage (dodging, blocking, etc) but still fighting.
This a billion times over. Every other class has loads of healing and never has to worry about damage. Thief has the most health and best armor, and loads of his “damage” traits are littered with huge 1k heals. Mesmers can heal and shake conditions off with a simple auto attack. Rangers are so good at healing they have now become Shamens.

Thief can get some healing in stealth if he invests a full 30 points in a none damage trait line. yeah, and the signet heals for half of what the warriors does and its kitten by the fact it only heals on attack, not all the time.
In sPVP at least the warrior is out of control in how buffed it is. Some classes actually have to make choices, damage or survivability. Warrior can have both.
You dont play warrior do you?? I am a spvp player. When i make my builds i have three main choices armor, vitality, or dps. If i want high armor my vitality drops. Witch makes me susceptible. To conditions and low dps. High vitality i lose armor and can get bursted.down fast. And if i want huge damage i suffer in both areas. Running HS on a zerker warrior is not as effective. The burst heals are much better. HS shines in bunker builds and balanced builds. Then we get to the poisen, witch is why i kill most warriors who use HS, and i only get acsess to that from weapon swaps. If i want my war to live.my trait points go to vit and tough. So i lose out on dps.
So yes warriors have a chioce sustain or damage. A year ago people laughed at the thought of any one playing a war in pvp. Now that we can actually. Do something people are mad.(same with necro) sadly i dont think you people are ganna be till warriors are back to free kills.

Bleeds on war are so crazy good at damaging ppl. Most necros are easy to kill along with gaurds and engies
I know this is asking alot but why not start getting all th RP players together and transfer to a low population server?? If you dont have the money to transfer then delete all you characters and select a new server.
Kinda drastic but in my experiance in RP creating charaters is one od the dunnest parts.

Neither will get touched though because both classes absolutely need the mobility to get their sustain.
If they remove their mobility they will have to get a massive boost in sustain to make up for the loss. Would you rather have a warrior that is just as hard to kill but doesn’t have to kite?
Running away from a fight isn’t the same as having sustain. That just means your mobility is allows you to do just that, run away from a fight. It also won’t effect your damage because if you use it offensively, as intended then the cds should be short. But using them to flat out run from a fight will still be possible just less likely even if all of their cds are tripped if used for retreat.
(running from a fight to reset your hp is not the same as having good sustain in combat)
So pretty much you’re saying that warriors need another sustain boost since they are forced to run from fights?
well I personally don’t play a warrior so i can only observe and call things out when they are obviously out of control like the subject at hand. However I’ve seen some wars not run from a fight and manage to take 3v1 with healing signet so in my opinion I’d have to say sustain is fine.

Or to get a real feel of war just start a new one till you get how to play. I recently rerolled my warrior. Its not to bad lving one compared to other charaters.
With 70% crit chance crit damage would benifit you more. You will be critting more often
If you had around 50% power would be much better.

I admire you bro you have heart, but id recomend playing warrior a little longer. I run sword on a condition build and well i kik kitten . And i dont consider myself a great pvper. Bleeds on my swords way out damage any power build u can come up with on sword. As for axe if you have trouble with getting to your target use utilities bulls rush is amazing.

How is spinning in circles ganna do that. And as for everything else, you can stack 6 bleeds in wat about 1 second thats kitteng insane. Then u add traits and get 6 bleeds in 1 sec that last 10 secs. Thats wat about 4000 damage a sec right there. And that not counting having might. Gear. Runes.
Now for you last comment all your trying to do is swap roles of sword and axe. Er why?? Sword right now is not a strait condi weapon it shines best in hybrid builds. Axe is still a solid power weapon. If and this is a big if.axe becomes a condi weapon bleeds are the last thing it needs. Weakness vunrability fit it even more

Another theif making another tread aout how they cant kill wars so easy any more. You know how i deal with ANY build that uses high regen( on my rouge) VENOMS. You have acces to poisin use it. These build rely on regen to stay alive. Without it they r dead in seconds.

Were great sword is all 1/2 i beleive and axe has 2 instant hits in its auto.
Making that number 2 hit on the sword instant would make it possable to stack bleeds better.
They already said that we’d likely see another Soldier profession if we ever got another profession added to the game. They also said that a new profession is about the last thing on their list of things they want added to the game.
We’ll see new weapons, new skills for existing weapons, and more skills in general added before we even see the developers THINKING about adding a new profession.
New races, however, are more likely (and all but confirmed) to be done some time next year – likely candidates being Tengu or Kodan (though most are speculating and agreeing that Tengu are not only most likely, but also most preferred compared to Kodan).
Also, to anyone wanting Quaggan, Skritt, or Hylek as playable races, I highly doubt it because they’re considered lesser races. And really? This game would be a joke if everyone was running around as freaking Quaggans. Hylek would be cool I think, but again they’re a “lesser” race and it seems incredibly unlikely.
Lesser race?? The only thing holding the hylek back is unity. With could make a exelent story line. The three orders hlping unite the scatterd hylek races witch are fighting the decline of there race. Against krait and the infuence of the dragons, not to mention trying to survive in a new hostile enviriment against all odds. Sound like hylek would be a awsome race and story to play

2. The concept
I would like to make reference to a game that might ring a bell for some of you – Ragnarok Online.
While this relic has had fans harboring mixed feelings throughout the ages, one cannot deny it was something people spent countless hours on, be it on the official servers or private servers.
Whether it was a good game or not is beyond the point. Ragnarok Online had an interesting system called War of Emperium. It was a scheduled event that had guilds competing for dominance of a castle that would eventually become their guild hall. There was some degree of coordination, but in the end all it was was a zerg and spam of skills in hopes of, when the event ended, your guild was the one in charge of the castle. Everyone else was kicked out and, until the next instance of the event, that castle belonged to your guild.
If Guild Wars 2 was/is to have a Guild Hall system, I beleive that it should be earned by your guild through competition. I think that not every guild should have one, but instead only a few select guilds per server should have one. This would promote intra-server competition.
On paper, the system is very similar to the current WvWvW format, only scaled down. There is a Guild Hall in the center of the map and guilds would start from their camps. How it goes from here is not for me to decide, but I envision it as a sort of battle of wits, taking advantage of terrain and coordination.
Obviously, different rules would have to apply. It could not follow the WvWvW system, as it serves a different purpose. As such, off the top of my head I can think of a few rules:
- There would be 5 different guild halls – this will be justified further down;
- There would be a limit to the number of guilds competing for each hall (possibly 3 or 4);
- Each guild would have to register a few of hours or days before the event, choosing which guild hall they are fighting for;
- After the first time this event took place, the guild that owns the guild hall will be automatically registered for the next battle;
- Despite owning the guild hall, no guild starts within the guild hall itself. It is, however, available to enter it and fight within its walls;
- The battle would take place once every week a few hours before the WvWvW reset;
- Guilds would be allowed 30 minutes before battle to sort out their gear and traits in a way similar to the Mists – free gear that vanishes after the battle is over.
- Respawning would not be possible, so there would be no waypoints. Reviving fallen allies would be okay, as it can be tricky in the heat of the battle;
- It would be a sort of last guild standing event that would last for however long it would be suitable (between 1 and 2 hours);
- After the time limit, the guild with the most number of players alive (downed or not) would be declared victorious;
- Seige weapons and other constructions would not be a part of it, but other elements could be created and integrated by ANet;
- There would be a limit of players per guild, based on map size (perhaps between 20 and 40);
Naturally, these are things I thought were suitable. I am fully aware that I’m not a professional designer, so they could (read as, most likely) all have terrible flaws in them. That’s why I’m posting this idea – to promote it and figure out how well it would work or if it needs changing.
Other rules could be added, other elements could be added. Perhaps it wouldn’t even be Last Guild Standing, it could be King of the Hill. After one guild captures the Hall, all other guilds are kicked out and have spend the rest of the time trying to recapture it while preventing casualties caused by other guilds. Whatever works best, I don’t know.

I disagree i have a condition build ( more of a hybrid) i use in pvp and my bleeds do alot more damage then a power build i was running. And because i still have some power sword# 3 hits between 3-5k damage. Sword auto attack #3 (traited immobolize targets enabling me to stack bleeds easyr.
Before every one discounts bleed damage on sword try making a hybrid build with higher condition damage as it is right now my war bleeds are alot stronger then my necro.
I was toying around with a healing shout build in spvp but meh. Healing shouts dont really heal much.
I said this a while back i want a hood from my warrior. There is a norn warrior in the intro quest that looks dam kool with a hood.
First of all, the idea of penalizing an opponent for using his/hers skills is just ridiculous.; and what is more ridiculous is the fact that mezmers can stack confusion to 20 or even 25 stacks using combos.
When you have that crazy amount of confusion you have only 2 options:
- Wait for the confusion to wear out and kite the mezmer/ kill the duelist ghost/get hit by the mezmer and his clones/phantasm while you are kiting.
- Fight the mezmer and receive damage by him AND by using YOUR skills.
Third option is:
- When you see a mezmer run, and don’t fight.
As a warrior, fighting the mezmer has become a real problem because:
1.- The warrior is a melee class and the mezmer is a teleporting kitten class / hidding class.
2- When the warrior goes and fight the mezmer, the warrior is going to go and bash everything, the clones/phantasms are going to get destroyed and you are going to get conditions.
So, little by little all the damage is going to stack; a little bit from conditions, another little bit from range damage, another little bit from confusion and a lot from 25 stacks of confusion if the warrior decides to use his skills.

Between traits and eqps 60 % is the sweet spot. You dont need to really run more if you have decent furry up time.
Once you hit 60% id aim towards other stuff to buff
+1 10 into stregth is pointless atm. And any one usuing physicle utilities is forced to go 20even if the dont need it.

As a heavy mesmer and necro player I always find myself falling behind the groups. Especially the fact that necro does have multiple speed boosts in the skills and I still lag behind of everyone is a bit of an annoyance.
Necros can have permal swiftness. trait that boost spead when holding a dagger is something like 10% offhand 15% main hand.

Mesmer should be easy for you. All you have to do is keep pressure on the real one. On the eng part odly enough i found my condi build way more affective the a burst build.
