No, you can’t micro because the pets don’t have the ability. Hit DS(our survivability mechanic) and you lose your minions. Go underwater and our only elites ruin the ability to use our minions. I don’t use lich, I use golem and I run a condition spec. I actually really like the golem even with all the issues. I tried to spec into giving my minions a ton of health but they still die in a heartbeat.
For the record, these are all really WvWvW and t/sPvP issues. In PVE they are alright and I don’t mind going minion build. They have a lot of fixes that need to be done. After those are fixed I might just go back to my minion build for everything, but as of right now they are kittened.
lose your minions in deathshroud o.O ?! i never ever ever experienced that. you can also heal your minions with mark of blood and life transfer btw.
@ynot sure i played them even made a movie about my experience with pets a few posts below. about the horrors and rally i tried to rally of one a few days ago and that didnt work nor did i ever saw someone rally of one of my jagged horrors. I don’t say its entirely impossible just that in quite a few games as necromancer never really noticed it myself.
pets dieing on changing form i like my flesh golem tbh wouldnt trade it for lich on a pet build myself. terrible life expectancy can be fixed with flesh of the master. not regening health ok i give you that the flesh golem does regen health out of combat tho… so they can obviously fix that without to much problems. you can also heal your pets with mark of blood and life transfer
i think the main reason why minion masters feel screwed because it takes a lot of micromanaging things and it gets all cluttered up fast a well spec is much easier to play so is a dot build

Ah I just noticed that it only affects life transfer and not siphons. You said you tend to pick 20 points in blood magic. Which second major trait would you use together with transfusion?
there are a few bloodmagic traits that i like
but the ones i would probably choose is vampiric master and life transfer, deathly invigoration is not really worth it even with a cleric amulet it only heals for 680 without it its sub 300 its barely a bit more then 1 tick of life transfer. dagger 20% off is to steep of a price the bloodthirst is only good for siphoning health it has its use especailly on a full support necro.. thats what im probably gonna play next no spite no nothing just full support see how that pans out
minion masters are fine just moa needs fixing and the pets need to have a bit better ai.
Hi i just started playing some Necromancer pvp and i liked it.I got a pretty nice cond build and im doing well at most.But when it comes at thiefs they totally nuke me.My main is a Ranger and i didnt had so much prob.Can you gimme some tips?
to be able to kite thiefs you have to know how thiefs work once there initial steal and stealth is gone they have 1 more chance and then they can either fly or die
in my movie a few posts down you can see how i handle em personally maybe you can learn a thing or 2 from it shows quite a lot of staf work wich would work really well on a dot build like yours too. it’s all about preperation.
don’t let people give you the impression that your a 100% free kill for a thief.. thiefs are one of the easest classes for me to beat in general because the majority of the thiefs knows only 1 certain playstyle the moment plan a fails they won’t have a b plan avialable..

It just seems like the dagger #2 skill doesn’t work with the transfusion trait. I hope this is just a bug and will get sorted out.
I also realized, that you summon the healing minion and sacrifice him immediately for the blank heal multiple times. Wouldn’t you be bette roff with another heal skill then?
I’m currently starting on investigating if shadowfiend and bonefiend are even worth their slot. Flesh worm and fleshgolem seems to do the job way better.
ah the dagger 2 slot isnt affected by transfusion and probably never will its only meant for you. if you want a stronger life transfer from dagger 2 you have to invest in bloodthirst wich is the number 2 rank trait
And about sacrificing the bloodfiend many times i just need the heal instantly to survive but i often start with the bloodfiend out of summon him out to help me a bit.
it’s a hard spec to play correctly in pvp… i played power spectral and curses, and pet spec to play correctly is by far the hardest for me in pvp. Not only do the pets refuse to attack sometimes or get confused when thiefs pop in and out of stealth very fast you also have to take care of them in one way or another.
They won’t survive that long in aoe and the skills are basicly double skills not only do you summon the pet with it but you also activate their skill with it..
Pair this with staff and dagger interaction and you got a pretty hefty combo on your hands.

and then you got classes that can instantly put you of the game for a long time for instance moa is a good example.. not only does it give you 10 second of bird time it also unsummons all your pets and put them on their cooldown. And a mesmer worth his salt knows this by heart and will target you first with it the moment they see you comming with your army.
In no way of form am i a master and to truly master the full potential of a pet build would take weeks to multiple months i think and most people are put off by pets in like 2 or 3 days i barely see a necro petmaster anymore these days.
about shadowfiend. Shadowfiend got potential since it;s one of the few things that can give you a freestomp with some luck. bonefiend got potential because it can help you lock an oponent for 6 seconds if timed right dark pact + immobilize.
i really tried using the minions but they seem to die to fast to really get the full potential out of em for me personally.
I think petmasters can have great potential but you have to have a fast knowledge of necromancers and their abilities to get the full potential out of it. i played it for a bit now and i think i only have like 40% of the full potential so far my biggest mistakes are the shadowfiends and bonefiend abilities wich i tend to forget the otehr 3 i got down pretty good tho oh and sometimes i forget that i need to summon em haha then they already died before.

hey kinohki i don’t think there’s mp3s around so you have to get it from youtube itself i did ask him first tho before i did that. i believe that as long as you mention them and its not for commercial use their ok with it. I instantly fell in love with the megaman song myself the violins in the intro are so powerful.
there many ways to get videos from youtube and convert it to mp3, i know this will not give the best and greatest quality but it’s better then nothing.

This video really has reawakened my intention to actually bring my necro to lvl 80. Just 1 thing about Transfusion (the trait which heals nearby allies whenever you siphon): does it really heal your minions for you? I just tested it several times and it doesn’t seem to give them back any life at all.
Tested it today in the mists just to make sure and it does give hp back but before it gives hp back you’re pets have to be damaged otherwise it gives nothing. You can even use life transfer without any living beings in sights and out of combat to heal them up a bit ok this will cost valuable life but it does work
I love the hp back on lifetransfer its a great way to assist your team def one of the better first tier blood magic feats imo.
for starters dont expect thief burst damage go for a knights amulet so you can make a mistake or two without instantly dying.
points go into spite curses and soul reaping mostly for secondary weapon use a staff (if staff is your choice go 10 deathmagic for greater marks)or an axe expect to switch weapons a lot to be viable.
learn how to use deathshroud and its abilitys in the mist for elite.. go either lich or flesh golem both are good options. and for skills id say go either spectral or well specced if well specced put some points into bloodmagic to get the shortage of cooldowns on wells
ds is all about feeling and trusting your gut. feel when the spike is comming feel when you need to cc with fear and know when to use dark path to stop a fleeing enemy in its track same about life transfer its a gut instinct it will take practice but eventually it comes naturally.
whats also important in the art of ds is to learn the abilities of your oponent. Pistolwhip bullrush heartseeker learn all the burst abilities from the other classes before you can truly master ds.

the main reason for that is that this build altho build like a tank has great power too i think my unbuffed attack is around 3200 in the 30 spite 30 death magic 10 bloodmagic setup and a lill below that on a 30 spite 20 deathmagic 20 bloodmagic set up but crit % is only 9%.. If your base is only that low 5% is huge it basicly boosts your crits by 55% ? force only adds to that. Imo these 2 options in this set up gives greater benefits then all the rest.
For staff i use Hydromancy, my bleeds don’t last for that long and the damage is sad also i like to play support if needed i switch in the thick of battle instant freeze to evertying around me i throw a mark of blood to help my party its strange but this setup got some healing power too think its like in the 400+ range the deathmagic boon duration only adds to that. i like to run lifetransfter heals other party members too (9×292 heal ) its also a good way to heal your pets since some of em dont regen out of combat.
for runes i use divinity the 60 to every stat gives me some more power and needed crit and hp and since i dont have any deathmagic the crit ratio is a welcome adition too.
oh amulet is the soldier amulet i tried knights amulet too wich is nice too imo but i like soldiers better. I used to run with only berserker amulets, but having had a good conversation with a fellow necromancer i honestly think berserker isnt really the way to go for a melee necromancer. our power is in our health and our ability to regen health and outlast an oponent not in fast bursting down we’re not thiefs afterall. once i switched amulets my gameplay improved gradually.

Hi fellow necromancers !
This is my 3rd movie and probably will be my last for a while.
It’s called 2 deaths and include a little story.
A necromancer can have 2 true deaths,
After that he pays the price for cheating life.
And is banished to a place without living beings,
to spend an eternity without the thing he loves the most.
This is the story about a necromancer whos in that place right now,
and he tells you about his life and his 2 true deaths..
This build is mainly focused on good interaction between staf and dagger wich takes a lot of practice but once you master it you can do pretty nice things. I can’t say Í’m a master of some sort but slowly im learning. the build itself is a 30 spite 20 death magic 20 bloodmagic build and focuses on pets ( i know i know moa moa moa water and crazy aoe damage that multiplies) but i think i got the hang of it a bit down.
It can actually be pretty fun to have pets around and for me it made for a totally
new experience. This build got pretty good hp and tons of armor and toughness i believe its 2960 armor 2000+ toughness and damage is still pretty good ! ok the crit
rate goes down the drain but pets can make up for the shortage of burst and with the toughness and good staf use (mark of blood and chillbains/putrid mark) you’re a pretty tough cookie for others to bite through.
I made it a lill shorter then the movie before because i don’t want to drag it out that long for you.
Let me know what you thought about it ! I think its a lot better then the 2 movies before myself and i’m my worse critic normally.

i can’t stand the sound of the sceptre and the whole waving things in the air and bleed your oponent from 900 yards range..it feels stiff and very non dynamic.
i absolutely adore the staf tho that doesnt feel non dynamic at all you have amazing control with the staff
as a general go i would go 30 or 10 or nothing in spite. reapers might is great so is close to death as an added bonus the spite tree also gives 30% condition duration can be very important for freezes reapers touch and staf abilities
curses probably zero or 20 why ? altho curses equals precision and precision equals crits the curses line itself it kind of lackluster for a heavy dagger melee spec oh and the 25 point talent is bugged it doesnt give you 2% for each condition it gives you 2% for each unique condition.. wich kinda makes it lackluster to me..
death magic at least 10 for staf i also really like the reapers protection trait if youre new and need to get the hang of the necromancer as melee in general get it.. it gives you a out of jail card from those nasty burst pistolwhips and hundred blades or mesmer combos
blood magic its up to you but as a non well/ minion dagger spec staff i wouldnt advise putting to much points into this.
soul reaping is an interesting one first of all i wouldnt advice you to go full glass cannon melee spec at the start get either a knight or soldiers amulet so you got room to make mistakes and learn.. if you go full glass cannon spec..
1 mistake probably /death
learn the class learn the interaction with staf and dagger learn to weave a web of deceit and know when its time to bail and when you can do all that perfectly try a berserker amulet then and see or you like it.. not before imo.
enemies don’t get points when you go down.. or at least thats not what i experienced so far they get points for kills tho.. you get extra points if you do it in the vicinity of a node defending or attacker bonus but those arent counted towards the 500 scores just counted towards glory points.
for the build it self i have to see some raw numbers just tried it vs the warrior in the mist and it seem to trigger a putrid explosion and it hit the warrior for 883 damage ok this wasnt crit but i do run with 3200 attack and 2300 power.
whats also worrying is that fear on going down trait this might make them run out of your death nova instead of in it. if you wanna be a so called living bomb you better make sure you pull people in the vicinity off your blast not out of it can also help with the burst potential of your team if everything is nice and cluttered up.
i would advise putting the points from curses into either blood or death magic to be iether more durable got better staf abilities and another fear or to be more of a support character for your team placing marks of bloods on heavy battlefields and giving them hp by using lifetranfer trait in bloodmagic.
the long well times might be a problem in the long run too you can also choose to get 20 bloodmagic for well cooldown and life transfusion and mark of blood to help heal your party in battle.
or if you wanna be more durable go the death magic route get greater marks to vastly improve your staff skills and reapers protection they both greatly benefit your superior fearing ability.
the 15 in curses trait seems a bit redundant if you dont have reapers might or near to death or have a natural high crit % to begin with

But here’s my 2 cents about daggers and necros.
Daggers can work on a necromancer but you have to understand a few basics.
Your dagger auto atk > less then any other melee auto attack in most cases
Your burst potential in melee > less vs any other melee or burst spec in most scenarios there are exceptions like heavy well spec and hoping people will dance in it for good damage but this can’t be relied on.
dagger got short attack range
Dagger main got a mediocre lifesihpon but i wouldnt call it totally useless if specced for it it can give you up to 2000~2500 hp back wich can be a lifesaver.
To overcome the first 3 obstables wich is very important to overcome if you wanna be any good with the dagger you have to debuff your enemy or stop him stonecold in his tracks.
how do you do this ?
1. have a great offhand dagger alone won’t bring our your true potential if you wanna be any good with dagger.
This weapon needs to be able to debuff/cripple/make enemies vulnerable. my personal choice altho many people think warhorn is superiour is the focus. reapers touch is a very overlooked skill imo with the right stats gear and trait layout this can 1 enemy your facing 3 times for up to 4k+ total damage or more not alone that it also makes them vulnarable wich icnreased your damage by 9% 3×3.
Next up is spinal chivers. spinal chivers is great to remove boons from enemies, when there not swimming in boons anymore and the protection and fury and otehr benefits are gone.. you ll find them much easier targets the downside is the long casting time tho. an added bonus is that it makes enemies frozen wich makes them much easier to catch up too.
also very important is to learn the art of death shroud espcially dark path is a very powerful ability when mastered it not bleeds oponents but it places you directly behind them and frozen and a good time to unleash some nice burst for the comming 6+ seconds. talking about deathshroud did you know you can change weapon sets in deathshroud ? if you can manage to time that pretty good it can be a great help
Also very important is to have a good offhand my personal choice is not axe.. i think axe is a horrible weapon but staff. Staffs are great you can support your team with staff throw out some good regens , aoe freeze the other side get rid of conditions fast and pass em over to the enemy, save people or disrupt big fights with an aoe fear the auto atk if getting used too is not to shabby altho some people find the sound annoying i dont mind the sound myself.
Lets take a good situation against a thief.. you see the thief and got a staff in hand first throw chillbains his way and he wont be that fast anymore the comming 4+ seconds. now you can chase him at will or he will come to you. if yea see him invis dodge backwards he might land a steal but he wont land his 10k+ backstab while you dodge backwards hit 5 and place a fear the moment you land. Thief is now out in the open feared and out of his steal/stealth cooldown. throw a mark of blood on the ground and let the thief trigger it this will give you health regen while placing a dot on the thief
so thief is crippled dotted and out of stealth and either gonna burn some cooldowns to stealth or is forced to fight in the open. if hes gonen stealth throw a chillbains mark on the ground while dodging backwards time to avoid the backstab again thief fails backstab and is out in the open.. thief dotted chilled and out in the open with his major abilities on cooldown.
now this a whole different story then when you start with dagger. you see thief dagger in hand now no ranged dark path is 1 cast time and probably wont hit because hes either to far away or gonna be in stealth ready to backstab you.. so youre forced for him to come to you and unleash his burst.. then having probably eaten the backstab you have to try to catch him in your 1 second cast dark path. you know what kinda of damage a mediocre thief can do in that 1 second he can probably hit heartseeker x2 wich on a good specced thief hits for 10k+ damage. i can tell you one thing tho its not gonna be pretty if a thief catches you offguard with a dagger in hand. His burst >>>>> your burst its not even close its miles away !
And now you switch to the dagger make em ready lure them into your web of deceit
you have to time your switching throw people off guard let them think your one of those dot necromancers whos placing marks around them and then catch them in your dark pact and burst em down with reapers touch x3 throw in some auto attacks in there got a lot of boons remove those first with chillbains you have 4 seconds to make up of something but smash their face in asap.
is it 100% foolproof not by far but its so rewarding if you get a kill like that. many times i look back my battles and think of ways what i could have done better.. ah hidnsight ^^

my minion master got some innate healing too. it’s great if you know how to time the mark of blood to hit your whole team good ticks of 190 heal add that to the 292 heal from life transfar x9 and you got yourself a pretty good healer very underrated sure its not super but every bit helps.

3rd this was more a movie to prove a minor point, necros obviously have bugs some things suck but its still a decent class if you put some time in it. this movie was in no point showing off my elite skills in pvp and obviously yea i can edit my fights and tbh back then i was pretty new to necromancer i did try to show off some more longer fights tho and fights where i obviously struggle.. noone likes a movie with 4 second fights with big numbers that goes back and forth zoomin zoom out kinda thing.
The well build is a decent build for necromancer but yes no condition control unless you really learn to use the staff and thats the tricky part for most people to really master the staff. Never been a big fan on dagger offhand on a power build myself. this build has great potential but you have to truly master the staf for it to really shine imo.
there are obvious flaws in the movie, the biggest flaw i adressed now in my upcomming new movie wich will probably also be my last one and thats not utilizing 2 weapons sets (a friendly necromancer pmed me about this flaw you know who you are
)to the fullest sure i had axe back then but if you pay close attention i wasnt really using the axe that much
then again i can’t stand axe still its such a horrible weapon for pvp but thats just my opinion.

funny i always thought it was the other way around. the times i came upon good elementalist as a necromancer im amazed at the amount of buffs they have the healing they bring and the boons they bring the tankiness and the 2 uninteruptable stomps i could be wrong but it seems to me both that earth armor and the wind mode cant be interupted at least not as a necromancer in downstate
some of em can do amazing burst dps too and they seem to be in a lot of guild teams.
i don’t say the class is easy i think its about compareable to a necro wich isnt easy to play also in comparison to a thief or a warrior, but they seem to have a lot more going for them a lot more mobility and are in general more wanted then necromancers in pvp who bring tankiness and broken ai pets and some sub standard melee capability and 100s of bugs but hey that could be just me also.. i’m gonna try to play one tomorrow for a bit and keep you updated on my findings

Finishing someone in stealth is no stronger than finishing someone with stability. I don’t see how that’s an issue by comparison of the two, considering stealth doesn’t grant stability. You can’t stop someone from stomping you in stealth as per say a warrior / necro? Well … you still can’t stop them from stomping you if they have stability on. Same thing, just can’t see them.
That would be why they didn’t change it, and probably don’t plan to.
theres a big diference between stability and stealth as in stealth makes you invisible where as stability doesnt. stability gives your team time to react on the downed player situation stealth on the other hand makes your team think the downed player is ok while obviously a thief is finishing him off invisible..
imo its a buff just saw some thiefs in tourneys now that can litarely melt 30k hp in sub 2 seconds with the thing active, with the old way you just have to take care of 1 spike now you have to take care of 5 spikes
I don’t know if it has changed in an update, but a while ago tooltips on abilities only reflect +duration from traits and weapon sigils. So it may say 4.5 seconds from the +30% traits it could be even longer than that. Test it with a friend to see.
The reason I said this is I tested a bleed build with 100% increase in bleed duration, but the tooltips only reflected a 40% increase in duration (+10% sigil of agony and +30% from traiting into spite). Fortunately, when cast the actual move lasted the full 100% increase in duration.
yea the tooltip dont update at all beyond a certain % had a freeze build wich said it lasted 6.25 second while in reality it last 11+ seconds
I don’t know about that the first pet it hits it hitted for 14k damage.. 1 hit 14k damage.. then anothet pet for 7k then me for 18.5k and tbh im not even glass cannon spec as minion master you have natural toughness build in from talents i dont run around with 900 toughness.
its a bit weird you see your hp dropping from full to near empty in a matter of sub 1 second.. and having almost 30k hp and natural toughness im not really used to that..
so this is working as intended then ?
so being a mm i have to deal with :
1.moa wich terminates all my pets in an instant
2.water wich terminate all my pets also
3.sub standard hp of pets.. i mean its obvious flesh golem got 12k hp and thats the strongest pet of them all
4.bad minion ai
5. ranged executes from warriors who can terminate my pet and me with 1 skill
If you think thiefs can do burst then watch this movie..
when it happened i was like.. that can’t be ! thought i had the match in the pocket.. that was till i got hit by bladetrail for a total of 18500+ damage and all my pets eat about the same damage.. i made a movie about it and paused at the actual damage
is that working as intended if so .. lets all roll warriors and lay down 50k+ bladetrail damage in groups.
maybe he got the sigil of earth wich are bleeds for 5 seconds.. I tried the axe and dagger combo also for a while but honestly i think axe is horendous.. but to each his own.
and yea they do crit if you make up a 20 / 20 / 0 / 0 /30 build you can take foot in the grave and his ds and then immidatly go out of it to get the fury buff.. don’t worry it wont cost you any life force i prommise
if you tick tick fast it will cost 0 lifeforce.. but that gives you 5 sec of fure.. wich should give you a full 60~70% chance on axe and then switch to dagger wich probably get 1 or 2 seconds of crit time too for a nice combo..
i think its human nature to dodge when they see a lot of damage tho.. damage is weird and i bet some people think they are being hit for 1 2 3 4 5 k damage in a row totalling up.. wich obviously it isnt but they think they get hit for 15k burst so natural reaction is to dodge.. thats what make these channel skills kinda sucky if you ask me..
they got there use maybe vs people that get away or if youre specced for life return but apart from that there kinda meh.. i like the in your face aproach from dagger a lot better.
normal good team compisition that constantly win and are mostly guild oriented seem to be a mesmer a guardian as tank maybe a warrior if hes lucky but more likely an engineer who is just running around while you chase after him playing bomberman or knock you back around and forth around the map and 1 elementalist either burst or boonspecced or a burst thief to steal your forest boss at the start.
it’s very hard to counter such a team kitten random pugs wich probably consist of 1 or 2 necros who are guildless
a bullrush warrior a mesmer who think hes superman because he facerolled his keyboard in spvp and ranger who pewpew from afar. that is if you’re lucky.. if you’re unlucky youre facing an uphill battle with 3 or 2 vs 5 if some of the people decide not to show up.
and no not all classes are balanced some classes got a far steeper learning curve then others. Can these harder to learn classes do the same as the easier to learn classes.. yes it just takes time is all..

to me axe is a very weak weapon.. i think i saw even bigger crits on my sceptre on a powerbuild then on an axe.. around 1100 crits htis on sceptre vs 800~1000 hits on axe..
considering sceptre is 900 range and adds a bleed to the target.. its kinda weird. it’s to bad axe is so horendous power necros could def use another weapon except staff to be viable..e
in all honesty if you play a burst spec with no vit or toughness you cant really complain about thiefs damage because obviously you are trying to do the same thing to them..
its hypocrisy to its fullest.

Can we please fix this. it happen to me 3 times in the past 3 days where my whole team just suddenly crash in the middle of a game.
it seems to be having to do with entangle.. and some other skill.. intentional or not the effect stays the same..
just now was just in foefire having a good 100 point lead fighting in middle bam whole team disconnected next time we were able to login they were beating our boss and won the match.
it happened to me in foefire and the forest map too.. it seem to be having to do with the interaction of certain skills… having affected my whole team and not theirs i’m pretty sure we can rule out personal computer problems.. and think of a bug or exploit..
i don’t mind being rolled up by guildteams but losing in such a manner is kinda disheartening no ?

i would like to know also what gives you 1800 toughness and 30k hit points and make you able to crit for 6k sounds like a 30/30/30/30/30 build to me

The whole aspect of the mesmer is the illusionist role yes the main mesmer’s damage may be a bit much now an will be balanced in the future. ( I play a mesmer by the way) but the Clones/Phantasams are what make them unique and should be a decent source of damage for the mesmer as removing damage from phantasams would not only kitten them in PvP, but pve and WvW also.
Let’s see:
1. Necro pets need utility slot while providing next to no utility except the golem’s charge (the snare of the other minion seems simply not to work). Mesmer stuff is weapon bound and he can pick up powerful utilities2. Necro’s elite vanishes in water
3. Necro minions: slow, often do not attack, low damage, low life. Mesmer: like heatseeking missiles. Spawn near the target, even on roofs and through walls
4. Necro minions: long cd once killed (shortest 20 sec). Mesmer…yeah what is it now terrible 15 sec for phantasms oh-my-god!!!! And illusions are easily reproduced
5. Blowing up minion: yeah have you ever seen a necro with bone minions? think about it
6. Moa morph: Poosh ALL minions are killed. What about your stuff?
Point is: Mesmers are so spoilt that they don’t realize how good they have it or have you seen minion necros lately
Another problem is that the damage of the class is simply too high compared with the very good survivability and obscene cc. The whole package is the problem not just dps, cc, etc

necro minions can in no form or way be compared to mesmer pets..
rustmonster = absolutely useless dies in 3 hits and does like what 400 damage ?
bone minions 200 damage and they blow up if you command them whoohoo 2k damage
shadowfiend 350 damage and a blind on a long cooldown
worm stationary lol ?
flesh golem i give you that flesh golem is actually apretty usefull pet but i never
saw it do 7.2k smokebombs or 5~6k magestrikes and 5~6k swordstrikes or have
5 of em blow up for 12k+ damage.. + its an elite skill … ELITE !
and all the othet pets take up an utility slot..
and they all suffer from some form of dogtrauma and need a cesar milan to guide them because they don’t listen at all to any of your commands they stand there idling doing there own thing drinking a coke anything but listen to your commands or help you attack a person.
i’ve played tons of games(1000).. but i have yet to see the first true impressive playing pet necromancer in game thats because the spec is inherintly weak, pets dont do kitten and your kittened with a crippled toon.
are mesmers overpowered .. na there ways around em but they can be very annoying
to target in a large battle with 5 pets and 4 other people around. when you got 2 or 3 of em in 1 spot with 4 pets each it does get confusing

yea because theres always 5 targets in the vicinity of eachother or 4 or 3.. most of the times in tpvp its one big zerg battle in the start and then much small battles in multiple nodes or thats what i normally see anyways.
power has some decent aoe too.. well of suffering wich can crit for 2kx5 on multiple enemies(if there stupid enough to stay in the well) and a functional life transfer wich can crit up to 4.5k~5k+ on multiple targets.. ofcourse dots are better with epidemic but to say that power has no aoe whatsoever is simple not true
i honestly think you can get some good burst on a good specced power necro
i think theres a big misconception about slivers only dropping from gold chest tho.. when i just started i only bought copper chest and i had all the slivers i needed.. when i was around rank 20 i only bought gold chest and im near 35 now.. and i think i got 5 slivers.. today i got 3 from a copper pvp chest item don’t recall what it was but it sure was no rare 100%.. its all rng i think copper items do drop them but much smaller% but the gold items got an abysmall % anyways.. so wether its 5% for a gold item or 1% for a copper item.. i rather take the copper then.. much more items..
thiefs everywhere in tpvp had the honors of being backstabbed by one today for 15k damage. they can have there burst tho i don’t care.
Why hasnt anet fixed spvps problems? Were almost 2 months in now and theres still huge gamebreaking problems imo, just to name a few big ones
-No hot join 5v5? like what the hell? 8v8 is just a massive zerg fest and when i want to play an ACTUAL pvp game i have to do a tournament against much better people running premades… Its a joke. Its not like making half the servers 10 player cap would be hard…
i can agree 110% on this one for sure.. its boring having a pug with all sub optimal classes face off vs guardians mesmers and engineers and burst elementalists.. with team communications the moment you are 1 on 1 and it goes bad there way bam you got 3 people more on you..
might not be that bad if it happens 1 time but running in 3 or 4 pre mades the first match in 5 games and losing badly is not really building confidence for the pug community.. and this is just some random matches i run this evening.. it has barely anything to do with skill anymore..
moa isnt such a big deal its in no way a 10 second stun nor does it immobilize you in any way.. sure it sucks being a bird but its not the reason why i normally die vs them.. that has more to do with 5~6k mage and 5~6 sword strikes..
wheres our pets that do that amount of damage ?

i usebloodlust and maybe crit or force primarely. the damage per condition is good i think but its kinda two way street.. the 30 point as someone told me earlier in pm isnt really worth it.. you can get weakness on so many other ways.
in retrospect looking at this movie.. i don’t think its bad.. the music choice is pretty good the footage could be far worse but it feels.. kinda..
2 dimensional theres hardly any weapon swapping and i stick with just 1 weapon set.. thats just the plain truth.. it’s not that im that bad with daggers and i use time ds pretty good i just miss out on half or my arsenal.. and it doesnt show the true potential of a necromancer.. i keep the movie online but i ll make something else.. that showcases staff incorperated with daggers in a good way maybe throw in some combos who knows

yea you’re right i really don’t like the staff tho i got a pm this morning giving me great advice and telling me to get greatermarks i must admit this helps tremendously it will take forever to learn to incorperate it with my dagger style tho.. i wish axe was a lill stronger but as it stands now its kinda lackluster in comparision with a dagger. yea must learn how to use the staff.. daggers i got pretty much nailed down.. i still wish we had another melee alternative tho..and i agree about the fights you just like and not the big crits one remark too

The spec i choose for the 2nd movie is a full spectral spec so no wells no sceptre waving just plain old in your face dagger actions mostly. I did listen to the comments of my first movie and made it i think 3 to 4 minutes shorter.. there’s not really a story in this either, its still quite a sit tho so i hope it wont drag on to long for some of you.
It’s a bit of unconventional spec with heavy focus in spite and curses so no vitality and low toughness basicly a glass cannon spec. the spec used are either 30-25-0-0-15 or 30-30-0-0-10 or 30-10-0-0-30 the build i personally like the most is 30-30-0-0-10
The main point of the build is to make heavy use of the curses 25 point spec target the weak wich increases your damage by 2% per condition i also take the 30 point spec to get the weakness debuff on a crit.. i run around 52% crit so its gonna be up a lot so will bleeding and ill make heavy use of spectral wall and grasp to stack a ton of conditions in such a shot possible time on people while giving me the heavy needed protection to stand toe to toe with heavy melee and burst classes.
as an added bonus i got fury and the moment i go into ds ill give bleeding and weakness on respect.. 66% and 25% of my crits on lifetransfer that ticks quite a few tiems on 5 different targets that can be a pretty nice boost in a party fight every condition helps since it gives a damage boost to me and a debuff to them.
It’s not perfect and there are def flaws in my gameplay i am by no means pro material, but overall im pretty content with it.

There seems to be hardly any flaw in there acrobatics, i can tell you one thing tho.. if you just stand there taking in 5 or 6 db you’re screwed.. at least try to dodge 2 of them to stand a remote chance. the first time i saw a thief like this who knew what he was doing he actually downed 3 people in a very short time.. that made me thing.. theres no way to catch this guy.. youre immobilize or cc will get evaded 100% of the time.. i think you need to catch them the moment theyre done spamming there db.. some can spam up to 4 or 5 or even more if specced correctly.
save cc for the moment theyre done.. then go to town.. db spammers have low hp guaranteed because they probably walk around with a carion neck oh yea and dodge dodge dodge..
having 100% evade during an attack and be able to spam it 4 to 6 times in a 12 second period.. then go invis to get youre initative back and then repeat the same cycle.. is seriously a bit broken tho.. pistolwhip and backstabbing rogues can be avoided.. but these rogues annoy me to no end.. they do go down most of the time now tho..

the only thief that annoyed me the past week was a deathblossom constantly evading all my attacks kind of thief.. at first you think to yourself well thats not fair.. but there even flaws in those kind of thiefs.. altho a really good db spamming thief with seemingly unending evades is a really annoying thing
I wanted to say something this morning but it probably included zergbus and yea the remarks where kidna annoying and degrading yoru oponents a bit i think its good you took the video off and start with a clean slate.
that you dont giveu p that easily shows you have spirit just put a lill more effort in it now show some 1 on 1 1 on 2 1 on 3s you dont have to kill them all just show them you can stand your ground.

I play Condition, I use Staff and Mace/focus. Focus is nice for the slow it gives on 4.
The only classes I have a real issue with are mesmer (super OP) and Thief, only Thief if they are the Lawl2secondblinkdeath spec. If the Thief does not kill me in the first 3 or so hits, he wont win against me.
A lot of issues are L2P with Necro, but there are still issues. Like how Thief and Guardian get a better fear then I do which is a joke…
you probably mean thief that steals your fear and makes it 300% better and the warrior fear i never saw a guardians use fear before can be me thats wrong tho.
minnions are great for like 3 games then you realise there nothing but non responding cannonfodder for anything that looks their way..
I got like tons of games in total and i think i saw one good necromancer who used his pets to its fullest and he only had the bonegolem and the boneminions for the combo effects, anything above that.. and youre really walking on a razorsedge for missing out on a stun breaker.. ok ok the worm is a stunbreaker and what else the shadowfiend.. that one dies in 3 hits and the rustmonster dies even faster, i take well of suffering anyday above those 2 pets.
