I haven’t experienced any of this DR. I just train normally and do orr events normally. I get the same exp and karma every time.
Have you guys considered that Anet is actually reading it and fixing it as we speak? They don’t like to expose details about exploits and stuff so I wouldn’t be to hasty as to these hateful comment. Just wait a week or two. Stuff will get fixed.
@brickforlife huh? Wow community is pretty friendly
I’ve played WoW for a few months and it seems that most of the encountered community are elitists and trolls. Rest of it is pretty nice though.
If you do it right in large mob zones, you can individually lure each mob and then do the veteran last or just one by one. The careful precise planning is really fun for me, and it’s even more fun when 2 other people come and plop down combo fields and we just destroy everything.
You forgot the most important thing. A friendly community
You slowly become separated from society, you heart and mind yearns for more of that action. That sweet, sweet gameplay and those graphics which create that environment which is the most luscious candy for your eyes. You flock away, every ticking minute, thinking about your character, your next adventure, the next moment.
Yeah I have no idea what the kitten I just typed. I’ve played for 247 hours since the release date. Played every day. At least 2-3 hours. On my holiday so I either play GW2, or eat.
Most of my friends who don’t play GW2 just say “It looks like runescape with better quality.”
All of my friends who do play GW2 say “ kitten I’m still like 40k karma away from that Tier 3”
It’s different from GW1 and not quite other games, and that’s the best mix. It’s like a multiplayer skyrim.
Coward’s curse
When Logan is not within 100 of Queen Jennah, all his stats are reduced to 1 and he gains 20 minutes of fear.
I er..well..um….uh….ok.
They don’t get the cooldowns, I just googled and tested that both focus skills have the same cooldown
1. dungeons aren’t like other games where brute force will get you through, which is nice for a change.
2. Gear is upgradeable through upgrade slots. Or just get new gear.
3. The best stuff is lv 80 exotics/legendaries which make it have a limit, there’s this term (which I am not sure of) which keeps players playing for years doing the same mindless things just to get like a bonus +1 on a stat and Anet wanted to stop that.
4. Completely thrashing an opponent creates elitism and forces newbies to completely reject the game or dislike that area of game. If you instakill lowbie mobs (which you do anyway) then you’ll kill off other members. And the downlevelling system (not different to skyrim) supports friendly playing as well as promoting your use of skill.
5. MoP is just a temporary wound for GW2, as soon as people finish MoP, then what?
I understand your points and I’m not critiquing your point of view. Just giving my opinion.
BTW: Love your accent.
Good luck – they are not addressing ANYTHING for the past week at least – time for them to fix stuff, tell us why they are not fixing it, or prepare to lose the majority of their player base. I really can’t believe this is Arena Net treating the player base like this.
coughs blood are you kidding me? Have you read their patch notes?
I’m sure Anet is working on this, but it seems like a skill point that I did only last week no longer works. Disappearing and perma-dead npcs and stuff. Submit bug reports with SS to help the dev’s along
There’s a problem with the system you want though, it means that afk levelling (where you get party member to help you do hearts, which will end up in they do ALL of it) will occur and I doubt that Anet would like that.
Only part I liked in AC was the trap part where you could either play trigger the spikes or play bait and run around.
The more I think about it, there’s less to hate, but I still hate dungeons because of the ridiculous difficulty, reducing my tank guardian to a dead body in mere seconds.
The question is:
Why i should buy Gold from the Store, when i can buy it from a gold seller for a MUCH lower price (i seen yesterday something like 1.6 € = 4g)?
You’ll get your account hacked, banned(because your account is used), and your items disappeared. And probably your credit card details now belong to someone in another country.
This is well said. I wish I could say more, but you’ve already covered all of it. However you are glazing over the top, some of the classes are still buggy and require further tweaking.
I will definitely wear pink, If I can get my hands on some of that dye, if I can’t I’ll spend up to 1 gold buying it.
Got humiliation, hotpink and pink ice and rocking it.

It can take months to get legendary equips without buying it off the TP. I have no idea what you’re on about.
Hooked on the game, hope the feeling lasts.
and it’s passed.

it would kill the economy if they started sending higher amounts than 1c
In gw2 you’re not striving for the best weapon (those can be found anywhere) you’re striving for the best LOOKING weapon. Why? Who doesn’t wanna run around holding some magical artifact that glows and shoots out rainbows when you hit something?
I despise this character with every fiber of my being. Seriously may as well rename “personal story” to “Trahearne’s extremely boring story” about halfway through.
The game gives an illusion of being the main character. After doing your level 0-20 quests you are no longer the main character. Helping the order? You are merely a pawn in the order, you aren’t the commander. Killing Zhaitan? Well, funnily enough, here comes this dude (trahearne) which has no experience but somehow manages to own the kitten out of everyone. (all of the qualities of a storybook hero). You are his adviser, a sidekick, a mere tool.
I make 2 silver in like 5 mob kills or an event(and then some), I think it’s reasonable to cost that much.
What I think theys hould do is scale down the costs for lower areas. I do NOT want to pay 1.5 silver to travel in a 1-15 zone.
$70 for the it. You are a heartless fool if you do not love quaggans.
+1 but I think it would use more resources on the server because it has to automatically detect, per (I don’t know but you could say a tick or second) second which is actually a lot of server load.
Necromancer is fun. You can make a ton of disposable minions to send to your enemies to kill them and use them as voodoo dolls. You can set condition traps which hurt a lot if enemies step on all of them at once. You can go close up with dagger/axe and release a flurry and life stealing and painful attacks. It’s like being a tanky thief. There’s a mechanic called death shroud which is basically a secondary life bar.
Necro is fun but it falls short. Only the condition build is viable. Forget everything else I told you. Everything else is just really weak, or you have to throw out all of your high-cooldown skills to do some kitten kicking.
Despite this, necro is my favourite class, no idea why.
Edit: The problem was that they balanced necro around the fact that we’d learn how to use Death Shroud or some rubbish like that which only the most elite, toughest, god-like and obsessed gamers could do(1%). Or people who knew the code.
The minion AI is so bad it’s more frustrating than helpful. Many times I would be killing a mob and then my minions go and aggro some more. It just makes my field of aggro a lot bigger than I want it to be.
The only time when I use minions is when I want to run through a valley of doom ( a long tunnel which has 10-20 mobs which can trap you in and quickly destroy you) and stop training. I set my blood minion and it aggros enough mobs for me to escape and not train.
I think the squeaks are fine, but some of the comments sound more like norn than human. Just sayin’
This is very true. What happens to games is that there is a 5% crowd which is ridiculously good at games, then there’s the 60% of us which are the usual gamers and the rest are casuals. What you want to do with the game is to balance around the 95% of us which are the normal gamers and the casuals because we are the majority. What happens is the dev’s program it so it’s centred around the top 5% which causes the other 95% to give up on the game.
The previous low drop rates for items really hurt us crafters, and the new program hurts us more. Please…if you want us to love the crafting system(which I do despite its’ many, many problems) at least fix the resources so it sets off a chain reaction which may yet fix a lot of things.
ele’s have the damage which compensates for the lower range, they might not be as good as thieves at burst, but their constant switching in elements basically means they have almost no cooldown and they have staff which IS a ranged weapon. I see elementalists running around doing something like 1/4 of a mob bar with a single hit and I doubt they need the health at all.
Meanwhile..please give more love to necro <3
I’m not sure Anet intends for people to afk and spam the 1 button over and over again to exploit this event. It’s not funny how effective this is in large groups.
I’ve tried the dagger/focus and it seems to be working relatively well, besides the fact that 4/5 are severely underpowered, it provides good vuln and regen as well as freeze. I’d just wish they made necro more viable, like how you can use shortbow with crits on a ranger.
Thanks for your suggestions, I’ll go take a look at d/w and d/f.
I prefer not to use axes because besides the fact that they’re relatively slow, have a short range and are weak if not for the AoE.
When I chose necromancer I thought it would be pretty fun to do conditions and marks but I found that the staff’s cooldown and autoattack are meager at best for combat but pretty good for supports.
After looking at this, I decided to move onto a power/crit build. So far I am using dagger/dagger with wells and signet of spite. The damage isn’t amazing but it isn’t great either. A lot of classes outdps be greatly and I find it almost impossible to survive when I get attacked by more than 2-3 mobs. I am currently only lv 20 and I want to ask if this improves over time because over the last 10 levels I seem to be struggling a bit in terms of damage output, unless I’m doing something wrong of course.
I am dodging a lot as well, particularly paying attention to strafing, kiting and the dodgeroll, but I’m finding that as soon as I get to 4 mobs I struggle a bit and have to get out of combat to recover. The d/d build has no particularly good AoE, 4 being a target-target-target move and 5 being ridiculously weak and having barely any condition damage.
I am popping death shroud often, usually to take advantage of Life transfer and Life blast, but ever with the bar above 3/4 I am still doing rubbish damage with DS.
Any advice or opinions about this? Or is necro just a broken, weak and rubbish class?
PS: I really enjoy necro and the death and stuff and I find it irritating that it’s not deadly enough.
This happened to me once when the krait witch event was going on and I didn’t notice. I wanted to get a vista on a high point and because of the many times that I already fell, I just couldn’t be bothered to fight my way back. What happened was I ended up training something like 9 mobs and a veteran on a poor guy. I didn’t even notice it happened until after when he raged repeatedly on map chat. I couldn’t figure out how idiotic that was until I came onto the forums to see this.
