also, comebacks are much easier if you have a team, especially one that is on TS. trying to ballance around your solo queue experince is a bad idea, as all high level play is with full teams and voice coms.
both jebro and BLU have great tournament matches on their youtube channels. however you are going to need decent class knowledge to get the most out of it, watching the games will also improve this greatly.
stop being so basic. nearly every theif is melee, when they stealth they are going to go up to you and try and stab you. you might no know where they are when they disappear, but you do know where they are going. AOE at your feet and/or auto attacking while rotating (so they cant backstab) are easy counters.
most theives i fight are idiots and will come into my AOEs and die.
you should consider a celestial amulet for the build. while not a meditation basesd, i have a pal that runs an altruistic healing GS staff shout build with the celestial amulet. it is very survivable and can splatter people with the greatsword whirl when it has a bit of might.
no sane person would argue against having a personal build library.
just as long as more slots for builds don’t cost gems.
Conditions aren’t weak on engies running rabid.
i know bud. engineers are great at outputting conditions, but are very weak to them. so a clever necromancer can transfer all of those conditions right back to them, killing them. i main engineer and know how great a rabid engineer can be, and by extension i know they will nearly always loose to a good condition necromancer. for conditions engineer is a great choice, but necromancer is the beast (accidentally used the best word) choice.
engineer is interesting because it’s a class that does great ‘dots’, or as they are called here conditions but it very weak to them.
necromancer is the god of conditions, they can consume them for health, transfer conditions an enemy puts on them back to them, turn boons (positive buffs) into conditions, and even spread the conditions of one enemy to others.
conditions are excellent in pvp and wvw, however in pve they are extremely sub par. so if doing ‘dots’ is your goal i would suggest rolling a necromancer for pvp. once you get good people will fear you, especially engineers as you are their hard counter.
it’s always been like this. however, there is one difference- the tool kit has the engineer holding a wrench, while the bomb kit has their hands in fists.
s/s is a condi weapon set. for a power build axe/maxe, sword/mace, sword/shield, and axe/shield are all much better choices. the block on the offhand sword is nice, but skill 4 scales only with condi so the offhand is only suited to condi and hybrid builds. mace offhand gives you great offense, and the shield gives you great defense. both work excellently with either axe or sword.
I have a very strong bomb engineer bunker that I have been using in pvp lately. It cant lose to melee thieves, and teamfights really well as opposed to the turret engi.
Well, I would gladly trade stealth for the OPness of an ele or an engi.
engi has stealth, oh and they have really obvious weakness too.
Full turret is bad, but one or two turrets in conjunction with a kit (often bombs) can be ruthless.
losing games because your team mates blow is not that bad, but when it’s the third game in a row it gets frustrating.
c’mon bud, the thief has to have something to gather his confidence enough to melee me when i’m spamming bombs on point.
this happened like hundred times, in PvP and in dungeons.
If you are getting raged at constantly you are probably doing visibly dumb things, or you are getting an extraordinary amount of ragers. Bud, if you are not helping team mates it’s probably the former.
My favorite players are the ones that bring banner, go for stomps, refuge the downed- and I repay these pals not only with a ‘ty’ in chat but also with healing turret blasts, super elixirs, fumigating their condis, and interrupting resses and stomps. You can be good mechanically but not helping your team is insane, you need them healthy and alive.
the combat is really great in this game, but one gamemode no matter what it is will get stale. it makes the game hard to recommend.
guild wars 2 has been out for over two years and still only has one pvp gamemode, conquest. one mode gets boring, and not everyone finds the conquest mode appealing. i think adding other popular gamemodes that are often staples in multiplayer games would greatly improve the lasting appeal of the game.

two dodges are enough if you are fighting a dumb robot.. pvp/wvw on the other hand…
lets not be awful fun ruiners. i love EotM, i com there, roam there and level alts there (my whole guild lvls alts there). but i also play a hell of a lot of WvW, and roam, zerg, havok squad all of it. there are positive things about both maps that people love, so i say keep them like they are. go to eotm for the uplvl ktrain, go to EB for the havok group. don’t try and ruin other people’s fun just because it’s not your type of fun.
tldr: go to the map you like and don’t go to the one you don’t. gosh.
I main enji, and play a warrior for havok squads. the leap skill bugs will always be my number one complaint about the game. my enji can outrun a zerg with rocket boots, well unless they do a 180 and shoot me backwards into the zerg. honestly, i get killed because of rocket boots bugs all the time, because my build has them on a 16s CD and im using them constantly so i get the bugs all the time. the leap skill bugs are awful for warr too, my pal doesnt even run GS anymore because of how much bulls charge bugs out. i never use GS in WvW because it only has 5 useful skills in combat, as the rush normally just ends up with your charcter borked. it’s shameful that anet has let rush be broken since launch, and it’s disgusting that they are putting no effort into fixing these skills. they have only gotten worse with patches.
i don’t want an expansion or another dungeon, i just want the hecking leap skills to work.
i don’t think enough people are considering the impact of a badly implemented alliance feature. if it’s implemented, and either the execution fails or the design of the system is bad then Anet will not be able to patch it fast enough to retain the players. the risk involved in such a massive change is too high, and the consequences of failure are too great.
so, i just did a ‘system requirements’ test to see if my laptop is awful. Turns out it’s not, so why do I get lag on low settings?

you can’t strafe, and you cant go backwards. Jumping puzzles and ‘bosses’, where you have to be very mobile would be an absolute chore.
This is amazing.
Get fit. Dress well. Start listening to a lot of Mumford and Sons(most people think this is some sort of mark of coolness, and that they are a great band- but there kind of average imo). If you’re fit, have a good haircut(one that is fashionable and works with your face), have good hygiene, and dress well you will run into a girl who finds you attractive. You basically want to find one with more ‘dorky’ interests, so go to the places where people like that gather(I have no idea where these people go, it’s not my scene).
In short, it’s kind of like animal trapping, you gotta figure out what type of animal you want to catch then build your trap from there. You should try and become the kind of guy the girls you like like. ‘Be Yourself’ doesn’t mean you can’t change.
Haircut Fitness Hygiene are really good starting points.
