Probably a standard fisheye effect. What did you expect?
Fisheye is the middle buldging around the edges. This is the opposite and only along the left and right side of the screen.
When the FOV is set to max (widest view) I notice that along the edges of the screen there seems to be some sort of distortion when during the camera horizontally. Does anyone else notice this as well?
I dont really mind it too much since they only do the attack once or twice before they are killed. Although I DO hate terragriffs. You can be standing plenty far away from them and still get knocked over and over. And they do their charging attack too much imho.
Does this thing even do anything? I notice no difference having it in any position on the slider.
Ranger obstructed
how come I get obstructed as ranger 10.000 % more then on any other class I play ?!
I get obstructed so much, that is extremely annonying.
I know what u mean. You cant even hit the ballistas in the charr fractal with a bow no matter how close you stand to them. idk why they have this issue.

The bug from several days ago where it made your character say random things is still there but it happens very rarely now. My female Norn guardian just said “May Lyssa confound you” in a female human voice. She said something earlier today also but I don’t remember what it was. Human female again though. And no there is no one even near me when this is happening. I was out in the middle of the ocean in Straits during the 2nd time. As it’s such a rare occurance now (twice a day) it’s not really something to worry about but it’s still a bug nonetheless.

So far I’m liking the Revenant. It’s going to take awhile for me to remember all the new skills. Especially condition removal ones. The damage seems appropriate for such low power. Im real interested in how it’s going to be with higher power and crit chance. The leap skill on the hammer makes the camera feel a bit loosy goosy but I’m sure this will be improved upon.
Story wise it’s nice to see the change where everyone talks regularly (esp player character) in the open world instead of cutscenes. Doesn’t take you away from the playing field. I also like that your character actually looks at the npcs he/she is talking to.
Gameplay performance (fps, network, etc) seemed no different than non expansion. Ran smooth.
The mastery system seemed fairly simple. Not really much different than the WvW points. The UI was pretty clean. I’m real interested in that defense against mordrem.
I’m liking the new defiance improvements although think it should scale higher with more players. Maybe this is true already but I didn’t notice. It seemed a bit too easy to stun the Wyvern.

i see no difference at all… therefore I still claim that they destroyed fps of thousands of players for minor changes to game.
If you use default settings there isn’t a diffrence. Make an effort to use the new setting options and you’ll see.
I see no difference at all as well except for the first person, verticle adjustment and fov. the collision detection seems to do absolutely nothing.
I’ve put the slider all the way to the left and all the way to the right. I notice no difference at all. Does anyone else and if so, where and how?

you can take a screenshot of the dyes, go into photoshop, set the eyedropper to 5×5 pixels to get the average, and then compare the rgb values in the info panel
So I log into the game at 3pm. Join a party in the LFG for SW. Can’t join their map cause it’s full. Leave their party. And immediately can’t join another party cause “joined too many recently.” Ummm…. I only joined 1 party. How is that too many? 1 is 1 too many? It’s now 23 minutes later and still cannot join. This needs to be looked into imho.
My fps and ping have gotten alot worse just since this patch also. Normally my ping is 70 or below and tonight it’s hovering around 200. My fps during vinewrath is normally 45 and tonight it’s constantly 30. Idk why the patch has done this but it’s really bad. I know it’s not just me either. And it’s not my internet connection cause my signal strength for my modem is near perfect and my bandwidth is excellent.
A note about ping: if you usually checks it through command prompt or similar, it just can be that you aren’t measuring it like the game does. The ping utility uses as default a packet of 32 bytes, but the game seems to use a package of 10240 bytes. Try to set it like that and check if both in-game and the utility matches (for Windows 7 [maybe other versions too] add -l 10240 to the command).
The ping is the same whether checked ingame or thru a terminal.

Found another bug. Vinewrath is missing it’s “neck” Or rather the stem that holds the flower up. Now it’s just a floating flower.
for guild chat, i have a tab just for guild chat. i took the advice here.
unrep then re-rep, no go
changed status to invis, game crashed,
changed status to online, un-rep then re-rep and i can now type stuff in guild chat
however, if you wp or flip to a different chat that, guild chat gets wiped. this doesn’t happen with any other type of chat
yea ive tried the advice given. didnt work for me. didnt crash but just didnt work.
Guild chat seems to randomly disappear as well. Not sure this was stated. Seems to happen with map chat too. Switching chat tabs always clears guild chat.
So far this is the only bug I’ve noticed since the 16th patch but my character randomly spouts out various sayings. Often they aren’t even her voice. For instance I was just standing around in LA and she randomly said “turret deployed”. She’s a female Norn guardian. And it was said as a male Asuran engineer. I’ve also heard her say various lines from the human female mesmer too such as “fixed, focused, concentration”. She just keeps spouting out random crap. It seems to be happening to everyone also.
If you have your UI set to small the quests panel overlap somewhat often. This doesn’t seem to be a problem with normal UI size but I prefer playing with small.
Hotjoins nowdays are just dailies and people farming newbs who don’t realize people can farm them in PvP.
It isn’t like the old days where hotjoins were fun and good matches.
Best bet is to just do unranked and ranked.
Or learn about farming newbs in hotjoins and farm newbs too!I can’t recall that. Do you perhaps post from another universe?
lol I don’t remember that either. I rarely have gotten hotjoins that were balanced. Even in beta.

I find animations difficult to read as is. Usually I just go off of knowing what weapons do what on other classes. But I agree it’ll be more difficult. However you’ll be able to keep the default fov so you can still see Asuras as they are now. It does give that disadvantage though. I’ll just keep playing with the standard fov since it’s what I’m used to.
I’d like to see some better auto-targetting especially in pvp. Idk how many times auto target has decided to choose a turret or flesh golem instead of a player. I don’t mind it as much with Mesmers although I still think it could be improved somewhat there as well. I know you can click on a player and manually target them but it can be nearly impossible when you’re in a kiting situation. It’s like “no, i dont care about that turret, no game i dont care about that other turret, no game i dont care about that little golem thingy!”
As a side note it would help in pve as well. I’ve went to attack something directly in front of me and auto target selects something way off in the background. And of course as soon as that happens it pulls some mob from far away (which usually isn’t a big deal but still annoying).
While playing on the red team in a hotjoin match on Legacy of the Foefire, I spawned in the blue base….much to the surprise of the two opposing players who spawned with me, and myself. I was stuck there too, since I couldn’t exit the blue team portals.
Asking around in Heart of the Mists, it seems like others have experienced this bug too. Surprised it hasn’t been posted in this forum yet.
I’ve experienced this a few times as well. I recall it starting around 2-3 months ago.
After serveral hours of play on numerous occassions my Flesh Golem on my necromancer doesn’t attack targets, let alone my target. He usually just stands off to the side of combat doing nothing.
You’ll probably find this happens with your Shade also. It seems that certain pets (excluding Rangers’ and Elementals) get stuck and won’t attack. It’s been a problem for a long time now. It happens with the Runes of Ogre as well. The Rockdog summoned by the runes often just stands there.
Often when I go into the hero panel or preview a weapon it appears small. Then reopening the window causes the weapon to grow to regular size. This bug has been going on for awhile. I haven’t noticed it on anything but Norn.
Not sure if this is a bug or intentional but the chickenado finisher is missing from the finishers tab. Although I have seen it before it would be nice to preview it anyhow as you can with all the others.
That appeared to be a perfect jump. A friend of mine did a much clumsier one a week ago and got the reward. Are you sure your successful dive counter did not advance by one? You only get achievement points for successful dives at 1, 10, 22 and 38 diving locations.
Yes Im certain. It was the first time I ever did it successfully. Others in my guild had the exact same problem also. No advancement in the completion.
I’ve heard that map completion is going to be removed from wvw. When is this supposed to happen? At HoT release or sooner?
Do all pets attack at the same speed or do some attack more often?
It is far from “completely unplayable”. I still play GW1, and the only time I ever have that stuttering is if I alt-tab to another window. And it goes away after a couple of minutes. My husband doesn’t ever have the stuttering. None of my guildie friends have complained of it, either.
Well, I’ll try not alt tabbing to another window but for me I literally can’t play it’s so bad. I live in Southern Cali and GW2 runs perfect. :/
Since GW1 doesn’t seem to have a forum I’m posting here. Returned to the game to try it out. Hadn’t played it in many years. I decided to venture out randomly but I’ve noticed there is so much lag it’s not even playable. You just stutter-walk across the ground like gliding sort of. And enemies teleport all over the place. I know it’s not just me either. As I know GW1 is not a priority at all I still think the servers that are running it need a reboot. It feels like they haven’t rebooted in 7 years. As of right now it’s completely unplayable.
These aren’t really bugs. This is the first time leveling up a character and going thru the story since the NPE and noticed some flaws. I labeled them as how I view them. Anyone else notice all these as well?
Saya Al Rejid states meeting prior yet has never happened. You first meet
her in several quests later which should of taken place much earlier. (out of order)
Cleansing of Orr states that you encountered previous eyes. This is not true.
Only encountered 1 eye in the vision of the pale tree which is technically just a dream. (factual error)
The orb that keeps risen away comes from unknown origin now. There were
several quests that were removed to explain how the Pact got it. (inconsistency)
Tonn’s explosives are said to have been specially made yet you do not encounter Tonn anymore as his several quests were removed and you have no idea who he is. (inconsistency)
Trahearne is called Marshal before he gives himself that rank during
Retribution. (out of order)
Several quests involve going to Cursed Shore and back via sky ships from
Fort Trinity. Yet later in the story you are involved in invading into
Cursed Shore. This makes it appear the Cursed Shore is safe then not safe.

Killing the Mouth and Eye should of occured before the Cleansing of Orr. For
one because of the previous inconsistency stated above and also because
why would you of gone backward to Malchors Leap if you have already made it
to the Cursed Shore previously. (out of order)
There are a few quests involving fighting thru Malchor’s Leap yet you’ve
visited the Cursed Shore several times before and should be farther along.

The pale tree gives you 3 options after the vision of Orr. Fearing of an
innocent dying, letting down your comrades, and fear of letting someone
suffer. It now makes no difference which you select as all those paths
quests’ are now removed. (inconsistency)
There seem to be many end game quests that are out of order leading you
to go forward in progression then backward. Then suddenly you are at the
Gates of Arah. (inconsistency)
During some early quests you are called Commander by random NPCs long before you even meet Trahearne for the first time. (inconsistency)
How often do you get exotic drops from Silverwastes? For me the most recent was 4 days ago and I spend around 4-6 hours per day in SW. I seem to get them as a drop about once every 5-7 days.
First bug: In Silverwastes playing on a Elementalist and using the Phoenix skill while in the middle of a fortress causes the phoenix to disappear. It seems to happen where the breach hole occurs despite there being no hole.
Second bug: In Lion’s Arch there are 2 mariners plaques located SE from the mystic forge that are standing on top of each other. See screenshot.
If you can’t rescue them in time you will still complete the room but you won’t get the dmg bonus provided by the researchers which makes the final boss a little faster to kill.
Best way to rescue the researchers is to open the 2 rooms that are on fire and then move to the 2 with portals. Any class that is built for dps can do these rooms in time if done in the right order.
Hmmm ok. Cause what happened was a researcher died but all the enemies were killed behind the doors. But the one room with the panel wouldn’t open and the coolant rod was sitting inside on the ground. The door remained shut.
In the Thaumanova Reactor fractal at the part where you have to rescue the researchers…. if any of them die does it mean you can’t progress that part of the fractal and have to do something else such as the heated room?
So this isn’t really a big deal but why would Nvidia say GW2 doesn’t have any FXAA? I know that GW2 shows up and can be “optimized” in Geforce Experience. So doesn’t really make sense to me.
I think SW should have a volunteer for map change when the population gets low just like all the other maps. I don’t get why SW doesn’t have this option. It is difficult to get into a better map sometimes cause the LFG goes by so fast you don’t have time to click join sometimes.
I seem to be missing the lvl 5 and lvl 10 recipes for spears. Can only craft lvl 15 ones starting at crafting lvl 25. Anyone else notice this?

Does this option work for anyone else? I know it’s supposed to make the game quieter when someone is talking in teamspeak or vent but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything for me. It doesn’t matter if the slider is to the left or the right.
As an update here is me doing the goggles jump a 2nd time and still not getting the achievement. Recorded the video tonight.
This bug has been around since release.
If you hit anything on your way down, even just scratched a tiny pixel, the jump will not count. the very first thing to hit must be the water.

I finally successfully did the goggles jump in the “Not so secret” jp and it did not count. This seems to be some sort of bug and very frustrating since it’s a difficult jump.
