My biggest fail was deleting my 3 day head start character. Now I have to wait till late November to get my birthday presents.
The biggest troll Anet has done to me was give me Spark as a precursor drop, on a beta character that I couldn’t keep. It dropped from a modrem grunt during HoT beta weekend 1. It was selling for 1000 gold at the time.
What do you guys think is the best way for increasing account value. According to gw2efficiency for the amount of time I’ve played I should have an account value of 100,000 but I’m currently sitting at 42,000.
Could you add in an info thing that shows what the degrees is as we move the slider? Thanks
Can we please have an option to compact items in the bank like we are able to for our inventory?
For some reason when you cross over a certain spot in Lake Doric all the trees around you bend in a different direction. It’s hard to explain but I recorded it. The link is below.
When you first deploy the glider the harp is red colored, but as soon as you put it away and then reopen it while in the air still, it turns to the colors you selected for it. So in my case blue and gold color.
The only way I really see it going down is if ascended recipes require less T6 materials. It won’t be sought after as much then.
I actually like it. But I’m a weird one.
So daily login rewards started Dec. 14th, 2014. And in that time we have currently received approximately 136 Chests of Black Lion Goods. And not once have I ever obtained a Black Lion Key from them. I’ve gotten every single other item multiple times except a key. Something is super fishy here. I’m not complaining about getting free rewards just for logging in. It’s the principle of the thing. It’s clearly tailored to be a very rare drop. IMO there should be an even chance among all the items. To see a list of what the chest can contain you can go to the wiki page if anyone is interested in that.
The #3 skill on axe causes you to stop auto attacking. I don’t believe this is intended. It’s a good opening move but feels a bit clunky since it doesn’t start the auto attack sequence and disrupts it too.
(edited by circuitnerd.5863)
The Dolyak Stance does not give the player the stab an resistance, just the other players. Not sure if that is intended but the other stances do so my guess is it is bugged.
You are right. It is bugged. Quite a few forum posts have mentioned this now. I’m sure Anet is aware of it by now.
I noticed a few weeks back that some video options were not causing the settings file to be saved when changed. I was having the same issue with Effect LOD constantly re-enabling itself. You can work around it by toggling another setting that does trigger a save after turning Light Adaption off. I know either of the character model/quality options will trigger a save, I did not test other options.
My workaround for this is since post-processing allows or disables light adaptation, I’ve simply turned it off. I actually prefer the look of post-processing off. The game isn’t so glaring in areas and dark areas actually look appropriately dark.
Every time I launch the game Light Adaptation keeps turning itself back on. So then I keep having to uncheck it. I don’t recall it doing this before. At least not until a recent patch.
The master trait Binding Jeopardy in the Zeal line for Guardian states “When you inflict immobilize or blind on a foe, you also inflict vulnerability (3 stacks, 8 seconds)” However this trait is only granting 1 stack.
Symbolic Avenger increases your power based on toughness. Kindled Zeal increases condition damage based on power. Symbolic Avenger is giving the increased power which should increase your condition damage as well due to Kindled Zeal but is not. It’s only increasing the power and not affecting your condition damage.
Does anyone else experience a wide range of frames per second pretty much everywhere in the game? For instance out in open areas I often get between 100-120. Then I go to LA and depending on the amount of people and direction I’m looking it’s anywhere between 35-55. And it constantly fluctuates when looking around. Particularly in high populated spots. But not always. Some areas in Verdant Brink go anywhere between 45-60 even with no one around. And world events or wvw zergs are bad at 20-25.
Anyways, I think you get the idea. Why is there such huge up and downs? Listed below are the general specs of my computer.
i-7 4970 – 3.6 to 4.0 ghz
gtx 1070
16 gb of ram @ 1600 mhz
monitor – asus 144hz 24 inch
240 gb ssd
As of right now (8-10-17) @ 4:15am PDT the lag in Siren’s Landing is back. And everyone is affected by it in the map. It’s worse than ever too!
There’s a small bug in the character select screen where the portraits at the bottom don’t properly display the new fro hair for human females.
How many times the resolution is the super-sampling in-game? I’m assuming it’s 2x but does anyone actually know?
Just tonight I’ve noticed some visual glitches. The statue of Jora doesn’t look quite right. Her face has weird white things on it and it almost looks deformed. Also my mini Anise is messed up. Part of the top of her hair is almost pure white.
I don’t think this is being displayed properly. It’s giving some huge number in the event window. Just check out the screenshot.
So I’ve currently got all 9 professions and they are all geared at level 80. Now that I have this level 80 boost I can level up another character instantly but I can’t decide on which one. Since now that means I’d have a duplicate class. And feels a bit pointless to have 2 of the same class. So what would you do?
I logged into LA, wp’d to SL and my ping was over 2000 with an average of 1200. Normally my ping in all other maps is between 40-60. Ever since this map has come out it’s been really laggy. And I know it’s not just me cause when I wp’d in everyone there was complaining about the lag too. It’s really unplayable honestly. I pressed F on a tree, waited a second, then it chopped down in a split second. Please keep looking into fixing the server issues with this map!
Someone needs to try the Aviator Box and see what happens
So there’s no doubt that GW2 is really heavy on the CPU and not on GPU. And that affects FPS a lot. My question is why exactly? What is it about groups of people causing bottle necking on the CPU? Also lots of particle effects such as during the Svanir Shaman event in the Norn starter zone. How and why?
Do you think you could tone down these guys a bit? Not a big nerf but just a small one please? They are obsurdly deadly to just be some regular mob walking by. I don’t mind a challenge but these guys with their enormous amount of burns and fire fields is just a bit too much.
The title says it all. I was in Sirens Landing near the Melandru spot. I then was thrown to the character screen. When I came back in I was back at the boat in the map. A few seconds later my game froze and then promptly crashed to the desktop.
I’m sorry but the instructions toward getting a legendary is really muddy. When you get to the point where you need the gifts, there’s no where in the game that explains this or what is required for them. How are people supposed to know what to obtain? Or how were these known in the first place? Not to mention the way to obtain legendaries keeps changing. First it was simply crafting, then collection journey, now it’s you just buy some recipe? There needs to be a much clearer way of showing us the entire thing that’s needed. Rather than relying on the wiki.
Do you think you could change it so in the cinematic the commander who downs Scarlet is the player we are currently using? Rather than the heavy armored female Norn you placed in there. It makes it feel like our player character is not the Pact Commander. I know this isn’t a big deal really, but more of a QoL thing. Thanks!
that is not allowed here at all per Ms Gray . if this link works right on page 5 Ms Gray makes very clear on these topics . https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Legendary-Armor-Feedback-merged/6566949
and the last person that tried to post strawpolls . well we think he met duhm from gw :P
I think she means polls as in voting polls. Not what people play as far as race/gender/classes. Seems a bit hypocritical if that’s what they mean though since they released an actual demographic made by them at year 1.
Is this something gw2efficiency can display? Just a thought. I can’t check right now.
I tried looking there but I didn’t see anything
You mean like fishing? Or sailing a boat?
A couple years ago a demographic was made of over 10,000 participants who gave a bunch of statistical info on what their race/class was. This was before HoT so there was no Revenant. Does anyone know if there has been a more recent demographic poll with many entries? And if so could you link it please?
So I just decided to start Astralaria and I was working on Zinn’s Study Guide. However I can only purchase the collection pieces for it 1 day at a time. Meaning there’s 10 more days. What the heck is the point? Why on earth would it be time gated? There’s nothing legendary about sitting around.
I’ve never encountered this till tonight but I was in Dragon Stand doing the event chain there and I noticed some areas were missing terrain. Mostly rock formations. This was odd but not that bad. Well, when I got to the Mouth of Mordremoth it was severe. None of the floating islands were rendered and almost the entire Heart of Thorns tree was missing with huge holes near the chest area as well. It made it very difficult to play this way. I took a few screenshots. Listed below is some information about my graphics card. Not sure if the info is relevant.
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070
Driver version: 384.76
Video BIOS Version: 86.04.26.00.56
Direct3D API Version: 11
As of right now you can get ascended armor and weapons from either crafting, doing raids, fractals, collections and very rare drops. I was hoping if you could also add in another way. Something more generalized. Such as a vendor who sells them in LA. It would be something like this. Thanks.
Ascended armor box
-500,000 karma + 20 gold + 20 laurels
Were there going to be anymore newer legendaries coming out?
No dc’s here, just severe lag. Over 1200 ping and at one point it wasn’t even updating it was so lagged out. Took over a minute to switch maps.
I’m having this issue as well. It’s stuck at “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” when I start up the launcher.
Yea it says that for me as well.
Could you make it so that you can zoom in on the face in preview windows please? I’d really like a better look at the sunglasses and mask of wanderer. It’s really difficult to see when it’s a full body shot and not to mention it’s aliased since preview windows do not have anti-aliasing. Thanks.
Anyone think there is going to be a new class for the upcoming expansion or probably not? Personally I hope, but my gut feeling is no.
I’ve been saying this for a long time as well. The environment needs some help. Night needs to be much darker. I honestly can’t tell if it’s night or day a lot of the times cause it’s so bright at night. I have to look at the sky to see if there are stars or not. And the moon is blinding bright. Dusk and dawn need to be more evident too. In a real sunrise or sunset the ambient color temperature is much warmer. Very orangey tint to everything. In this game it’s simply a luminosity thing with it getting brighter and darker (albeit barely). Also why are all the shadows of objects static? They don’t move with the sun or moon. And lastly in this game both the moon and sun rise out of the south, come into the middle of the sky and then stop, then they go back down the same direction. Like what?! It should go from 1 side to the other. Not stop in the middle then go back.
Here’s my list. Number 1 being the worst.
1. Tangled Depths – The sheer complexity of this map is overwhelming. Despite spending a good amount of time there it still is beyond me. It’s just too much. Getting lost is an understatement. The events are alright if you can actually find them. But they are a bit far and few between.
2. Dry Top – Getting around on this map is a bit annoying. Mainly because it’s all valleys so you have to take the designated path which leads to little open exploration. Also this map needs some more events. Particularly escort ones. Such as escorting refuges to the camp that are still in the crash site. Or escorting lost refuges to the nearest Centaur camp.
3. Fireheart Rise – Getting around on this map for me is difficult. I feel like there are very few distinctive markers to know where you are on the map. Everything looks the same. Just burnt wasteland everywhere. The only distinctive looking markers to me are the hero point that’s in this giant crack, the snowy area in the top left and CoF area. Events seem alright though.
4. Straits of Devastation – I’m not sure why but I’m not particularly fond of this map. The chain events are pretty good but I think a lot of it has to do with completion of this map. Getting around to some areas is a bit of a pain. It’s a huge map with many points of interest which is a bit tedious.
5. Bloodstone Fen – This map is nice to look at but getting around despite the updrafts and ley lines is kind of annoying. Getting shot down out of the sky due to a White Mantle enemy throwing a hammer is irritating as heck. Events seem pretty good although most of them require a lot of people to be around. I think there needs to be more of a mix of solo and group events. Normally I’d say map size is a bit small but since it’s mostly vertical I’m okay with that.
I was just thinking of how nice it would be if guilds could have a message board. For instance a scribe could make one and anyone who has privileges can post to it and delete their own posts too. Sure there is the message of the day but I don’t want to edit it to simply say I’ve left some dyes in the guild stash for people to pick up. Also it would be great if it listed the date and who made the post. So it would look something like this…
-Free dyes up for grab in guild bank – 6/14/17 – circuitnerd.5863
Anyways I hope you consider this. Thanks!
I never use it. I’m too used to the original way. It feels bizarre to me.
So it’s been a long time now since dungeon rewards got nerfed into the ground. They said they wanted to move away from dungeons and focus on fractals and raids. To this day I am still confused why they would abandon all that work they did designing the dungeons, placing monsters, testing difficulty, fixing bugs, etc etc. It essentially discourages players from playing that content since the rewards are so low now. I realize this topic is real old now but maybe someone can explain to me why they would totally abandon old content? It’s not like it’s bad content. To me If I was a game developer I’d want to make sure ALL aspects of the game still having stuff going on with them. Is it that they don’t have enough employees? I just don’t know.
Let’s say you have 0 gold, 0 armor, 0 weapons, 0 materials, and 100% map completion. How would you even start over? You couldn’t harvest cause you don’t have the gold to buy tools. You couldn’t complete hearts that don’t require combat for karma or gold. You couldn’t sell materials for gold since you had none. You literally cannot do anything.
That solves nothing. Spirit weapons have very low uptime, and you are not fixing that. You are just adding some boons that do nothing to help, when all of them can be permanently maintained in an organized environment.
Sure in an event with lots of people everyone is going to have multiple stacks of all boons. But even if you’re with just a party of 5 these could actually be useful then. Or if you’re solo the extra help from the spirit weapons would be nice. Not unlike how Engi’s turrets currently are. True the uptime for these weapons are not as long as turrets but honestly 30-45 seconds is pretty good cause they continually do their thing while active. But they can also move too, unlike turrets. Thing is they need to simply do more and that’s why I had the idea of an Engi Turret perspective. Certainly would give people an incentive to try them out again.
