During the first story quest for “Awakening” for Sylvari you are unable to progress because the Troll Salve is behind an invisible wall. It is impossible to get and therefore you can never complete it. I recorded a short clip demonstrating this. Please view the video.

Some of my guildies are not able to use the pad next to Doric’s WP in Malchor’s leap despite having glider basics.
Same here. Only clears 1 condition and not 2 despite the description.
This skill is supposed to now remove 2 conditions instead of 1. However it is still only removing 1 despite the description.
This isn’t too bad compared to bows. Both long and short. Each one is either tilted differently or higher or lower on the back. Often the bow is nearly vertical and going straight thru your hair.
On the new outfit in the gemstore; are you able to disable seeing the shoulders for it?
Sometimes the auto loot mastery function causes it so that you cannot loot the big chest after killing Vinewrath. You do not get loot when approaching or trying to interact with the chest. In fact you cannot even select the chest.
Guild Wars 2 running at 120fps on a 60hz monitor is unnecessary and you will likely experience screen tearing at some point.
Other things that may drive a decision to use a frame limiter or to enable vertical sync (which synchronizes frames with your monitor refresh rate) are to reduce heat -> reduce speeds of fans -> reduce noise. Components may also last slightly longer because of lower temperatures. Electricity usage will also be lower.
Some games might feel unresponsive to input when using vsync or a frame limiter especially first person shooter -games.
My monitor is 144 hz and I experience no screen tearing. I don’t need to have Vsync on.
What is the purpose of the frame limiter exactly? If I’m able to achieve 120+ fps very often what would the purpose of the frame limiter be? I know it will keep it at a constant 30 or 60 fps but what is the point?
So to me it seems that everytime they do a balance patch it’s based off of pvp and it feels like pve isn’t taken into consideration. For instance they talked about reducing damage and daze duration on Guardian traps cause they feel too op. That’s ok to me cause it is pretty op in a pvp setting, but in pve it feels right where it should be. Or take Alacrity. 66% feels appropriate for pve and maybe a bit much in pvp.
So my thoughts are why not keep the changes separate from one another? Like…. changing something in pve but not pvp or vice versa? True this is more work but I think it would help with the tug and pull the 2 sides of the game are having on each other.
Can someone show me where they said that the celestial amulet is going to be removed? I use this amulet quite a bit and not just for ele. It works well with a lot of classes.
While I don’t mind some of the visual reduction, what I do mind is that despite it being reduced it still causes the same amount of FPS lag.
Example: During Karka Queen, huge amounts of visual clutter and particle effects dropped my fps down anywhere between 20-25. After all the visual nerfs, it’s still no different. Why would the particle effects cause the same amount of fps drop when they are much less seen?
I wouldn’t say I’m really irritated by it. Just more meh about it I guess.
This would be cool. I honestly miss the amount of emotes in general that gw1 had vs gw2. Like /guitar and /flex
I’d love to see a compact button for the bank. Sure I can rearrange things manually but I think it would be a nice thing to have. Especially since I’m a hoarder.
From what I can see of S1 becoming replayable it would definitely be a personal story type thing with your own instances. No doubt it would have to be worked on from the ground up and some things may be different and/or left out. Obviously the events such as Scarlet’s minions invading random places with the portals wouldn’t happen due to those originally being in open world but I still believe the larger events such as Tower of Nightmares itself could be a story progression type thing. Needless to say I’d love to replay S1 even if it is a watered down version.
Try to lure them away from their traps. If you can’t, make sure their aegis is off first, then scorpion wire them to you. Only other options are ranged which is not great on thief or just run away.
Sorry all for the confusion. For clarification this is NOT using their special ability. It’s simply their attack chain. Yes the Bristleback would kill it much faster. This was just a test of the moment the first strike till the target is dead.

Why was this trait removed? I used to use the sun spirit for my condi ranger but now once I’ve killed whatever enemy the spirit gets left behind cause it can’t follow me. I mean, it DOES have legs after all.

Could you look into unsoulbinding deleted characters items? I got some stuff in my bank I don’t want to throw away and could use on another character but it’s soulbound to a deleted character from 3 years ago.
What I don’t understand is why they would spend many hours developing the dungeons and then later discouraging players from playing them. It makes no sense from a business standpoint. If I designed something I’d want players to continue to play it. Not discourage them from playing it simply cause I designed something else later on.
This happened with all of the maps they added hearts/poi/etc to. It has something to do with the bug of not getting map completion rewards for the new zones on characters with 100% map completion. Since it isnt’ exploitable due to the fact that you can’t make a new character and get rewards twice, I doubt this is something they’re worried about.
I guess so. Although none of my characters have 100% map completion.
Is there still some place you can turn in wrapped gifts? I do not see orphans around now but thought maybe there is a vendor somewhere.
What skill is this? There’s no wiki page for it. Normally a skill will let you hover over it to see what it is in the combat log. Only thing I can guess is the auto-attack on staff despite it being called Solar Beam.

Can you please make ctrl a toggle? pretty please? Looking for chests in Dragon Stand, Dry Top, Verdant Brink, etc is going to give my little finger a charlie horse from holding down ctrl so long.
I’m not terribly good at photoshop but here is my try at it converting a stock image into a Sylvari. I’m not crazy about grass for hair, but it was what I was capable of. Anyhow, still think it came out somewhat decent.
It’s not surprising to me that the staff has low damage output seeing as it is a healing based weapon. But is there still a way to use it while providing good healing and decent damage? It seems I can either make it higher damage but then lose the purpose of it, or go full healing and tickle things to death.
I killed random mobs for 55 minutes and got one. I don’t know if my drop was lucky or if nearly 1 hour of grinding enemies was pretty standard to get one.
I don’t want to ask a question that has probably been answered thousands of times already, so I want to search of it instead. I can’t even search more than few letters, if I do, I get this…
From what I remember is that whoever programmed it left Anet and no one has been able to fix it. Gaile had a work-around using google in a post long ago. If I can find the post I will link it here.

My Necro received map completion for Diessa Plateau twice now. Once when I first made her, and then just a couple days ago I took her there for the first time in a long time.
So far it hasn’t happened with other characters although my Engineer was missing a WP in Black Citadel and I know I’ve done it before on him. He however did not receive map completion rewards a second time.
Ok, I must be doing something wrong, but according to the wiki direct damage is (weapon strength) x power x (skill damage) / (targets armor)
Now if I do this equation with my own stats against myself, it doesn’t add up correctly.

The Asura gates in Eternal Battlegrounds do not function at all. Only the one to LA works. Also while in Blue Borderlands, walking through the Red portal actually takes you to the Green Borderlands. And walking through the Green portal in Blue Borderlands takes you to Red Borderlands.
There may be more incorrect pathways as well but this is what I’ve experienced so far.

Using Precision Strike while running on Asura is really…..wrong. I don’t think it’s supposed to look like this. The animation looks really messed up. Her head totally spazzes out while running. Standing it works fine though. Video link demonstrating it a few times and then once standing still.

Yes I’ll be sure to take some screen shots of the empty maps and post them here.; Honestly why say something like this? We get full DS and full Tarir constantly. There are always people in VB and even the hardest meta, TD, is done many times a day but a whole lot of people.
Not sure why you can’t find a full map. I get them all the time.
Then Anet must have been wrong also, when they said that the reason the Maps are empty is because Megaserver is not working correctly.

isnt the game supposed to match you up close to 50/50 win ratio? today its been 1/10. thats 1 win per every 10 games. and a couple of them ive lost pips to the enemy team being all higher league too. i dont get it
Living world season 4? (Assuming HoT is considered as 3). I haven’t heard any official word on what’s next exactly. And I don’t really expect to till maybe late January but thought I might of missed something.
I had never known what a raid was exactly till it was released for GW2 but I now know they are in WoW as well. I’m curious though how the difficulty matches between the 2 games as far as raids? I have yet to get beyond VG. The 1500 hp aoe drain every few seconds really adds up. So to me it’s not necessarily super difficult, it’s just staying alive is the hard part.
I keep mapchat, teamchat, squadchat and saychat off at all times. The only ones I have on are guild, whisper and party. If someone wants to talk to me they can whisper me.
