By gear with it in there and use black lion salvage kit on the gear, you get exotic mats and runes this way and the gear is normally atelast 1-2g cheaper than ordering the runes.

You will rarely save 10silver doing this and run the risk of not getting the rune.

Most peeps price the gear barely cheaper than the rune itself.

Black lion salvage kits guarantee you get the sigil fyi. But I just bought my set straight gold.(Got em when they were cheaper though)

First off like Cat said those kits have 100% extraction rate. Also like Cat said you can get them from many sources in the game including a random prize in BLC. So if you already have one hidden away somewhere then you are all set.

Also when i got mines, the gear with the runes in them went for 5.85g with a buy order compared to around 7.8g of just buying the runes.

You people from Yaks can say whatever you want but at the end of the day this is not the first time SF or ET has been in a lopsided match. As you can see from our rank there is 18 servers ahead of us and probably about 15 severs that can out number us to this extent.

SF and ET have been spawn camped before, we are used to it by now. What we aren’t used to is the sad pathetic behavior that lets some people justify using cheap stuff like siege while spawn camping two spawns for hours. None of the other severs who out number us have stooped so low as to do that. While we all know that’s it not all of you it makes your sever look terrible and the responses that some of your sever mates from Yaks Bend are sad.

Somebody making a troll post on the forums justifies you and a good number of your server to ruin the game experience for others? Alright cool, if that’s how you handle things then more power to you.

I know a good number us will try to continue to play this match since most of us mainly just play WvW. But everyone who isn’t a hardcore wvwer probably will not which means less people for you to fight and less people retaking assets.

I am glad you posted this. Having played in tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3, I can say the biggest difference is definitely our commanders. Our commanders are the best of the best.

The lower tiers like to claim they have better roamers, but I have played against them and they are simply incorrect. In the lower tiers being a “skilled roamer” counts as being a person in a 1v1 build trying to hunt down someone in a team build en route to their group. In T1 we have roamers that can smash entire small groups by themselves, and survive encounters with the mega blobs we have here. When I played on JQ there was a thief who would flip all the camps on the map right before the tick… I don’t recall anybody ever stopping him. I ran into him a few times when groups of players were trying to chase him down, but he either won the fight or chased them off every time. There used to be a few groups completely dedicated to fighting drastically larger numbers, and they were successful – not because the larger number groups were playing very poorly, but rather because the small groups played very well.

It’s true that lower ranked servers don’t play as well with large numbers as higher ranked servers with large numbers. That’s because WvW is a different game outside of the top ranks. You cap towers without a zerg, you siege keeps without a zerg. The groups that cap supply camps in high tier servers are the size of the zergs in lower tier servers. You need to be far more self sufficient in lower tier servers. Individual actions will matter a lot more when you don’t have a massive zerg of people carrying supply or bashing down a door. Smallers guilds and invididuals matter a lot more in lower ranked gameplay and commanders don’t command giant zergs, they command small to moderate zergs that all have to carry their own weight. Giant zerg combat doesn’t matter as much in the lower ranks, it’s a different meta (one that I’ve seen giant zerg commanders that used to play in T1 suddenly fail at when they dropped to lower tiers). The zerg meta is dominant in T1 and to a lesser extent in T2, outside of that the zerg meta isn’t viable because there isn’t a consistently large enough group of people online to zerg all the time. You gotta be more self reliant and can’t rely on a zerg to get things done.

Giant zergs bashing into each other is about the only thing that top ranked servers can consistently provide that can’t be found as easily elsewhere.

I also disagree with the roamers in T1, you talk about lower ranked roamers picking on people built for zergs, that’s far more likely to happen in T1. Most people in T1 are bandwagoners and they moved their to zerg, not to roam. The thing T1 is most known for is the constant blobs bashing into each other. Most of the random people running around are doing so to join the commander on the map or to protect a dolyak/stop someone from contesting a WP, not because they are looking for a duel – it doesn’t surprise me that a roamer can kill a bunch of randoms that are not built for dueling.

On the lower ranked servers you’re far more likely to find players built for small team fights or 1v1 simply because quite often there is no allied zerg for them to join on the map. The only reason a T1 server could compete with this is simply because they have more people total.

It’s also a myth that there are consistently times when nothing happens in WvW outside of T1. The only time I see this is when a horrible match up happens and it’s a complete blowout to the point that an otherwise populated server is being spawn camped. The vast majority of the time there are healthy populations consistently on EB and there is almost always a fight to be found on an enemy borderland. Coverage differences aren’t as dramatic on lower ranked servers and even when a server has better coverage it’s usually nothing like the differences in T1.

The one thing that is almost exclusive to T1 servers than can’t be found in abundance anywhere else in the game is giant egos. The same egos that cause T1 guilds to abandon ship when their server looks like it might drop, the same egos that make T1 servers claim T1 is the best place to be or that lower ranked servers are just PvDoor.

tl;dr if you want giant blobs of people and everything that goes with that, go to T1. Everything else they say is just ignorance or a recruitment tactic to cannibalise other servers and continue the top heavy stacking that prevents them from having to transfer to remain in T1.

In fairness, we’ve done this to DH and others. Usually fairweathers do it.

I personally havent seen us use siege while spawn camping anyone but maybe i was absent that day. I dont deny that many servers who are on top of the match spawn camp, yes SF has done it a few weeks ago. But i have never seen a server do it for hours on end with siege.

First of all i can and will blame the players. They dont have to call in back up because they are losing when jumping someone because they are bad. They do it because they are bad.

Right now There is about 50 yaks spawn camping my sever in EB with all kinds of siege from Ballistas, to catas. They do that because they are bad and also i guess no one on their server discourages the behavior. Now most of the people that are doing that are low rank, so we can assume about 60-80% of them are PVE fairweathers. What excuse does the rest have?

The devs didnt tell you to play the way you are playing, no they havent done nothing to stop it or fix the myriad of problems but all that i listed comes down to player behavior.

Im not sure how the spawn has been looking at ET but that all is just pathetic.

I completely understand that there wont be fair fights, but you would think that on a server your size that there would be at least a good number of roamers out, i mean you have everything what use is sticking in big blobs if not to jump people?

Yaks has some sad sad “roamers”. I log in and go to ET Bl today and see one of my servermates getting jumped by 3 ppl from yaks near out spawn. We end up killing 2 and a few more come, and then a few more until its about 3 vs 10.

I die and so do the rest of my crew, respawn go out to where they are and we end up killing most this time with the rest running away. They keep running until they call in back up and about 10 more people come, we get jumped, you know the rest.

Respawn again and this time there is 2vs2, Yaks try to gang up on one person to burst him down, fail thief tries to heartseek spam and gets down and they call in a third from their guild [AI] right when they are losing.

If this is the type of scrub behavior you guys do at Yaks Bend(Besides spawn camping) then i see no real reason for anyone from ET or SF to seriously play this week.

If you do have some serious roamers, great, but so far i haven’t seen any yet.

Either way I saw zero roamers from YB, only zergs and smaller zergs. Since all i do is roam its not even worth my time to log in.

NIce guide bro, when i was guesting on SoR it seems like they have their own special rotation that doesnt really make sense to me. So just make sure to check if our server has a different champ rotation than the standard one most servers use.

Just like to give a big thanks to ET and SF, after last match-up I was beginning to think no one remembered what duelling was. So nice to see the windmill again. Great fights roaming, obviously the last matchup made me rusty with all the unbalanced fights and opponents running away. You guys have some great roamers, and I got my kitten handed to me more than once last night. Love the 1v1s, 2v2s, 3v3s, etc… Keep it up!

To date we have only gotten one new real dungeon path, temp life story “dungeons” don’t really count.

Not sure if serious….. all the regen is from the engie and I working together as the game intends. Guardians spec’d for AH get 300 defense and 30% crit damage, massive heal from Staff… regen, protection,Blind, invincibility while healing. invincibility while using elite, excellent condi cleanses, mega group support.. Warrior gets the ability to pull his head out and use his teammates combo fields properly. While it is true a guardian should never kill a warrior due to mobility… if a warrior kills a guardian.. that guard is doing it wrong. PS I killed a lot of warriors in this video… BURST DAMAGE!!!! Too many people are so in love with being tanky they can’t understand why they can’t kill someone… omg sorry I don’t mean any disrespect I guess I just get upset because warrior was so down for so long.

So whats your point? I just said we guards cant get regen like that without going full AH and you write a paragraph saying the same thing.

Knowledge and skill is the only thing you need to counter thieves in this game. IF you have niether you tend to rage. These days thieves arent even a problem compared to warriors. If you are seriously losing to thieves to the point you come an shed your tears on the forums L2P.

Man stealth isnt that hard to counter if you actually know anything about the thief class and your not ful glass cannon yourself. But its easier to come to the forums and complain than it is to get good.
