Umm why? Having good escapability is an issue these days? I mean I could understand your point if you were saying all that while said warrior has insane DPS on you downing you…But you are talking about a kitten running from a fight?

D/D eles

My point is there are a lot more balance issues within this game rather than some classes being able to haul kitten when it looks like they’re gonna lose.

PoV has already been fixed(nerfed) so cross us off that outdated list.

As a guardian i would also say choose a warrior

We dont need to apply T1 tactics we just need a basic level of organization and agreement. Our commanders dont even come close to working together. We dont train our PVE on how to play WvW, so we get alot of PVE commanders running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We have a kittenton of problems that wont magically disappear when the leagues start.

I mean like you said we cant even decide if we are going to use Mumble or TS3. I dont even know the TS info anyway, its not on our site anywhere.

The class forums are a great source of knowledge and can help you with your builds after you have chosen your class. Warrior sounds like what you want.

For leagues then I would work on getting everyone on the same comms. You guys wonder how the YB Zerg comes out in so many numbers it’s because of good communications.

Even when guilds use there own comms they have a representative in the primary passing along Intel / orders.

I hope you guys do well in leagues and learn from the experiences you had here.

Give us just 1/2 your numbers. It’s not about how fast you respond, it’s that we’re outnumbered in 3/4 of the BGs during OUR primetime. I must have spent a total of what, 20s on repairs this week… because I died in the mad king labyrinth (had to do achieves on overflow because my server refuses to play properly)

The problems aren’t really the comms on SF – a few of the TS guys sit somewhere in mumble in case we need the mumble people. The main problem is that we have too many people living in the past which is stopping them from moving forward. They have that mentality where they have to be heroes, they think stacking up and wiping other zergs is like having a second job, gearing up properly is a chore and that is the challenge we have : the whole server’s mentality has to change. If it were only the comms, it would have been fixed ages ago.

SF seems to be the magnet for all the kids with disorders or delusions of self importance as if they had to somehow prove their existence to others in video games; the pinnacle of what can be described as pathetic. Seriously, they feel rejected because they lost a 5-man guild yesterday. I suspect the fact it starts with Sorrow attracted too many emos.

I honestly have no idea who your character/guild is but I can’t deny what you said in the second/third paragraph.

Idk consecration a really aren’t cutting for me. Doesn’t seem as effective but as you say it might have something to do with that fact that it doesn’t mesh well with my build at all.

Yeah they can get AP and titles for playing WvW. You know how much gw2 players love titles and AP.

Ill be watching HoD because i honestly am not feeling like they pose that big of a threat as they used to.

Depends on your play style really. Do you like the idea of using turrents and throwing grenades for your main damage? Or do you like the more active style of the thief and stealth?

Yes we know the trait .was apparently bugged but that doesnt mean that they couldnt have kept it in its previous form. A lot of guardians relied on that for condition cleansing, they didnt give us anything new that could replace it when they “fixed” PoV. Just bringing up the fact that it was bugged does not counter the fact we basically lost a critical way to cleans conditions.

Rangers are awesome. They have good waterfields, blast finishers, irritating pets, and extremely agile. It’s simply knowing your place in the battlefield.

Simple, think combo fields/blast finishers and where your class fits in that area.

The reason why gw2 seems to have a cookie cutter party base is not many seek to experiment and try new things.

lol okay, meanwhile their are other classes who can do the same stuff and more.

I find warriors that rolfcopter away far more annoying than thieves simply because they can out run everyone. They literally have the best at everything.

Also I main a thief so they arent a problem to deal with for me.

That and who is the most organized and responsive. Also who has the best night crew which most of us dont have.

Hey all, I was wondering if there was a way to access your guild bank of another server, from a different server.

In my old server I had a personal “stash” guild I made for more storage slots. Recently my main guild decided to transfer, so I transferred with them…only to find out I can’t access my personal guild’s bank because I am in a different server now.

I had no idea this was going to happen; I thought guild banks were shared among servers and there was no warning whatsoever. I thought maybe I could access it if I guested back to my old server, but it doesn’t work.

So now apparently my only options are to waste 3600 gems and 2 weeks locked out of wvwing with my guild by transfering to my old server and back again if I want to get my stuff in my personal guild’s bank. I just paid 50 dollars to buy 4000 gems to transfer (and have 2200 left over) and I must buy even more to make this happen. Or use 200g, which exceeds the value of items in the bank. A complete waste of money.

Alternatively, trust some complete random stranger in my old server to not take my stuff and run and be kind enough to mail the items.

Is there any other way?

Next time free trail comes around create a new account and invite them to the guild and mail yourself the items. Thats all i can think of.

Ill just let you know that the 3 PUG arah runs i have tried have scarred me for life and gave me cancer. Good luck.

I lol’d.. thats a pretty funny response. whenever i join a ta group thats say ‘exp only’ theres always some clueless newbie that joins and asks questions like “is this story? are we doing p2? whats u/u?” it makes me laugh and want to beat them over the head with a stick, nowadays I just call insta-kicks rather than sitting them down and explaining it to them. Recently this dude joined for the same post for TA, he was like “lets goo!!” and charges in, at the 1st part he asks the group to stack and pulls the dogs to us. I ran off to escape since his stupidity was contagious, the rest of my group proceeded to wipe and after that he just left without a word.

But seriously..I dont mind carrying newbies every now and then. When were doing a dung run for all paths, we finish one path and say on the next 1 someone ’fesses up and says there new to the path. So we all provide them some tips and get through that 1 OK. But what I hate is people not admitting they are new, acting like theyve done it before when in certain paths like CoF/CoE P1 and AC (spider boss)..it actually matters whether you are, since if you dont say anything it will cost your group valuable time/result in unnecessary wipes…

Yeah that very same group in that picture about 3 of them decided to try and fight the dogs. I exited the game and havent been in a dungeon since. There is only so much i can take from pugs, maybe ill be up to dealing with LFG next week.

I also have no problem helping noobs every now and then but not every run especially when i have limited time.

I really dont like when people say they know the dungeon when they clearly havent been there before. No you running into the two vines and the blossom field as soon as you get there will not convince me you have run TA before.

People who dont respond when i ask who has run the dungeon before are almost an instant kick at this point because 70% imo are horrible.

I also dont care about AP either unless the person has less than 1k, then im watching you closely. I had one dude with 600 AP tell me he knew UP path and predeced to die 4 times before we even got past the Champ vine. Thanks for playing, kick.

We (SF) haven’t played HoD recently so im not sure how they are looking anymore but I feel like SF and FC will be the biggest contenders with a nod to ET as well.

PoV hit us too hard in WvW, i just experienced it and it frankly makes me not want to play much anymore. Purging flames is not a good enough replacement for condition clearing.

ET and FC are poised to do well in the leagues

Actually about 50% of his post can be seen as recruitment starting with “ET plays to win” If i posted everything after that in the recruitment subform it would fit right in.

Alright Ill be the first to say i havent read the other posts in the thread so pardon me if i am repeating stuff.

• We need better access to conditions. The only condition we really have access to is fire which doesnt stack in damage in any way. Also Immobilize is considered a condition i guess. I think we should atleast have better access to Chill or fear to stick with our CC theme. The hammer chill trait skill has too high of a cool down. Guard is literally the only class that cant go condition dmg route.

• The nerf “fix” to PoV really hits us and those that rely on us hard in this condition meta. Classes can stack conditions way faster than they can be cleared and now that we have less condition cleanse, coupled with our low hp makes are life that much harder.

• The new changes to to Purging flame doesnt really do anything to combat this. If the skill reduced condition duration to atleast 50% I could see it being useful. Correct me if im wrong but warriors have a stance that makes them be immune to conditions being applied to them. We get 20% condition reduction?

• We have such low HP and mobility. There was reasoning behind this in the beginning but a quick look at warriors makes those reasoning seem invalid these days.

• Our Healing isnt what it used to be. Once again a quick look at Warriors passive regen makes me notice that its much better than ours which doesnt make sense considering we take a hit to our HP to supposedly have better healing. Warriors got a buff to shout healing and we once again, got nothing.

• I feel like some of our trait lines could really use a look over, some traits just seem to be all over the place in random places. These really is a problem for most classes.

• Feel like #2 on GS could use another look at, the skill just seems to work weird to me atleast.

• Hammer skills have such a long activation time with long CDs that the other classes dont really have to suffer from. #5 on the hammer should be able to be used while moving. I think the cool downs on most 3-5 skills for Gaurdians on all weapon sets should get another look, especially Torch and Shield.

• The number 5 skill on the shield doesnt really make sense. People can freely walk into your bubble and interrupt you and it doesnt seem to block all projectiles. it would be more useful if you could move while using it and the cooldown is very high.

• Maybe give us better access to fury or might. The new trait which gives fury is kinda useless.

*Some of the non GS/Hammer weapons can should get another look, most ppl dont use them often for a reason. Hammer and GS leaps could use a little more range or maybe break immobilzed/stun (Probably would be op)

PS: Lol at summoned weapons. Please make the useful somehow, idk how. Maybe make them proct with a combo field or at low health and increase thier HP and DMG.

I would rather the stat buff be gone completely but im ok with where its at atm.

Are you guys misreading? They said the people in your party are prioritized over others, they didn’t say other people couldn’t get the buff. Unless shouts have a 4 person limit all of a sudden.

Many of the AoE support skills have a limit of 5 targets.

Dunno about every shout thou, but this 1 at least have a 5 target limit :
“Retreat!” – Grant aegis and swiftness to up to five nearby allies.

Huh well i cant say ive paid enough attention to how many others around me go the buff when i used the shouts.

I got 3 rank chests last night, out of those I got a rare and a WXP consumable that gave me 3/4 of a rank.

Somebody else on the map got an ascended weapon chest.

From that limited sample I would say they have improved.

Ahh the thief class can take a nice amount of skill to really master. Im not just talking about your typical perma stealth backstab prey on uplevels thief. But either way like someone else said Warrior is the best choice if you want to do all you listed.

All the other classes either have broken mechanics and still need a lot of attention from the devs or tend to get nerfs.

We know that not all the matchups will be like that… But like I said, we won’t be getting servers like IoJ/YB/CD/BP for the next 7 weeks. Which is pretty much a relief… Even if I have to face HoD or SF (Which are bigger than ET).

Honestly at the rate we are going it should be that big of a difference unless of course our fairweathers come out in full force. But we are scheduled to be only one rank above you by the end of the week so before you know it ET and FC will be the Big Bros.

Then you look at our matchup last week and see what matches in bronze will hopefully be like
