Actually, nobody. It was active for a day after it was released then people realized it’s awful.

But a GW1 style GvG is likely coming soon, so check back in 2-6 months.

- new armors for 800 gems (light, medium, heavy)

Well, I’m doing that because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, and because of the way that our model works in terms of delivering new, fantastic, and mysterious adventures in the world of Tyria and in Guild Wars 2, it goes against that aspect of discoverability and players working together to find new areas, and discover new things and so on.

So I just don’t want to ruin anything for anyone by going into details like this, and plus not everyone’s gonna see it, what we’re talking about, so it wouldn’t be fair.

And I dont feel like they have treated the spvp or wvw playerbase like they care about us. All we have to do is look back at the lack of content/fixes/attention given to those modes. Whether thats because of the leadership of ANet or not we have been treated like “oh yeah we also have a pvp mode”.

Yeah I use it as a block skill, as long as your not facing the person hitting you and you are moving away then it wont trigger. No idea how effective it is against PW.

I know that feel, came back 15th after not playing for months, tried solo q, lost like the first 4 in a row, went from previously being high in leaderboards before i left to mmr hell.
Me and friends barely play enough to go through the hassel of trying to put a proper Team together.

Personal score doesn’t really mean anything out of contex of each specific match. Some times you can have a score of 25 from defending mid all match. You were more valuable than dude running around fighting off point and double capping and yet he has a higher score.

It is a valid complaint though. People should be able to do whatever they want in game imo and get rewarded for it. These rewards arent even good thats the sad thing so to act like you should need to jump through some kind of hoops to get them is kind of ludicrous. There needs to be some kind of extra reward for doing well in team and solo arena but these reward tracks are trash to begin with.

With the new system being what it is, and the new way to obtain skins… i was curious, is it still possible to obtain what is now known as the Tribal Armor? and if not… think you could maybe add it to the wvw skin vendors for badges or something?

I replied to this in another thread, but i’ll do so again here. The armor set is available from the badge vendor in wvw. You need to go down the tabs on the left hand side. I believe (if I’m not mistaken), its a “blue” set. Its just a set of skins you can apply to any armor. I’m pretty sure they’re still in that vendor.

Just adding I think the entire set is less than a couple hundred badges

Just logged in to a random boarder land, if its the light armor I’m thinking of, its called Dry Bones. Its about 90 badges for the skins

They are indeed different armors, please do your research before posting and not go by what you believe. And as of the moment it has zero ways to unlock it for people that didn’t get it before the patch, also stated on the wiki page for it.

I haven’t played this game in quite some time and last i played, the ranger was very underwhelming in group play and the pet was very wonky……

Kind of want to start playing again but can anyone tell me if the ranger is still bottom of the barrel in terms of class strength and group viability?

I know there is a game notes section, but that’s a lot of reading to skim through to see what all has changed…. i noticed some changes to traits and pet commands and stuff. Has it made a difference to the ranger class?

The Power Longbow Rangers was buffed for exactly 2 days, then with few hotfixes our dmg was toned down to the place we were before. For those 2 days we were viable to clean the point from distance, now… better play spirit or trapper but I find them very boring. Thieves and hambow Warriors all over the place again, nothing changed much.

Those two days were fun.

No Power ranger is still in a extremely subpar place and will continue to be so.

This is hilarious. I haven’t seen many more serious cases of learn to play.

Endless stuns on hambow? Lets see. We’ve got pin down that needs to be dodged and earthshaker that needs to be dodged. Staggering blow and backbreaker you can just walk out of the way for, so those are 2 skills that you actually need to dodge. As ranger you’ve got evades on a ton of weapons, and just normal regen from vigor and/or energy sigils would be enough to evade all of them if you have any skill whatsoever.

Edit: Also stunbreakers. Stunbreakers are good for your health.

This sounds good in theory. Do this and this to avoid that. The problem here is, I don’t want to build my ranger and equip certain skills only for this one OVERPOWERED build. This build is incredibly cheap and shouldn’t be encouraged nor defended. You sound like “Oh right, I’m so great, it’s clearly my skills. Learn to play noobs. Lololol!!!1!” while it’s not the problem here. This is just a cheap build made by people who can’t fight…well…fair.
Furthermore, I have a trait that reduces stuns etc. by 33%, my pet takes part of those effects and conditions, and yet this guy still managed to kill me fairly easy. I didn’t see him dodge once out of any of my attacks, he just rushed and kept knocking me back/down/around without giving my any chance of defending myself. This is not a matter of skill, it’s just a really cheap and overpowered build. It worries me that you can’t admit that and instead are like “oh yeah, you clearly suck”.

So you’re saying that having skills that evade and taking stunbreakers are only useful against hambow? Ok, good luck with that one.

Also, to clear up any confusion, I don’t play warrior ever. I play only mesmer, and I don’t seem to encounter this overpowered brick wall of warriors. Maybe I’m just that much better than you, or rather it might be more accurate to say that you’re that much worse than most of us.

Or maybe you have no idea what you’re talking about. =D

You might just be the one who has no idea what they are talking about. But I guess the rest of us will take our strategy and ability to beat hambows somewhere else and leave you in peace.

I mean it didnt take a rocket scientist to figure out it was elusive but now you just have to wait or give up all hope, which ever is easier.
