You will have and keep them if you craft them before the 15th. After that you maybe never be able to get them again unless they add them as a reward track at some point.

This was answered in the pvp subforums if you want to look for more detail but the answer is no the cultural skins won’t count towards achivie, only cultural armor pieces count.

You get one charge per rank. So if you are rank 30 you get 30 charges.

As a side note this is because your gear isn’t only pvp gear anymore, so if you alts have pve gear it can come into pvp now, and vice versa.

And for all of those people in pvp that complain about having to pay for trans charges in order to change your look from now on I say this: If you want the nice rewards and attention that pve gets, then you have to start making it worth Anet’s time. They are a business, and invest their dev time where they think they will get a return on their investment. If the PvP population never fills the coffers, they won’t get any attention. Plus you can get charges for going down the reward line in pvp, so technically you never once have to spend a gem to get the charges to change your clothes.

I’m already watching the game collapse. That’s what puzzles me about the people trying to stand by server pride. Server after server collapsing, people jumping from server to server to stack them, and most matchups being a complete blowout. Yet server pride > the overall WvW health. Let’s continue with server pride though, it’s done a real bang up job so far!

Lol yeah that server pride excuse didn’t make sense when it was brought up in the CDI either, it’s pretty obvious by the way people jump ship for rewards that people generally don’t care about server pride as much as they try and act like they do. And the best part of any community is that you can rebuild or it can adapt to new members, it just takes time.

If they were to merge some servers today two months from now after the whining died down everything would be fine.

Exactly what harm would it cause? You had 1.5 years to unlock it if you really wanted it. There is exclusive pve living story skins you cant get in pvp so dont try to use an exclusivity argument.

Its not like they are unaware that you cant easily get some skins in pvp anymore, its why they took away glory before they put up the blog post, to prevent pve players from running to HotM after the blog post to try and farm skins once they found out about wardrobe system.

Rangers will forever get shafted until we get a different balance team.

Dev comment in spvp forum last week said the are working on templates but it won’t be ready for April 15th. I’m sure if you look through dev comments you will see the one I’m talking about.

Thats what a night crew in the bronze league will do, its not hard to win with one, nor is it anything to make a thread about.

Fastest way is to craft + zerg/karma train in wvw. Buying tombs of knowledge in spvp could easily and cheapily get you to 80 in a day but they took away glory.

After april 15th getting tombs of knowledge in spvp will still be a good way to level but no where near as good as before.

Also zerging in LS content like queens jubilee or watchwork invasions was a good way to level fast while making gold.

Ive gotten two characters to 80 with living story
2 to 80 in wvw
1 in spvp

You only need to rerun story mode if you plan on unlocking that dungeon reward track through pvp permanently. They are not forcing you to rerun story mde if you want to unlock dungeon gear through pve so that is still an option.

It isn’t just about jewels, it’s about stats in general. I can totally see why our designers would want the most influential thing (stats) to be locked down.

At rank 44, you will probably move to like, 48-50 on patch day as a rough estimate.

Like others have said, by itself its not a big deal(besides the fact that you did the complete opposite of what a lot of us wanted) but combined with the fact that your restricting runes to one set, and locking new traits/sigils it all seems like you just want yo dumb down the game because you think new players are stupid.

Besides that its ruining build options in depth for us vets of gw2, not just us vet pvpers. Wvwers dont want to come because of lack of options(I used to be a heavy wvwer myself) pvers wont be confused because they are used to many more options. New players aren’t as kittenuggested, we were all new once. Everyone knows when they start a new game that there will be a learning curve, so being confused for a lil while isn’t an issue. I’ll even go as far as to say things were more confusing when I started pvping in early beta and yet me and everyone else learned. You have to make a choice about if you want to have extreme hand holding while dumbing down the game or if you want to make an more in-depth game that rewards us who want to stick around.

I guess my point is you seem to be moving in the wrong direction.

Can you guys do me a favor and try the game out after the features are in the game before assuming removing this is going to ruin everything?

Not all of us participated in that thread, it was only two pages of various opinions. There have been other threads, like the one ask what stat combinations people wanted for amulets where people said they would like the option of more customization.

But either way it’s too late now, it will be in the game and we will have to just deal with it like everything else.

Yeah it will be unlocked for us that already have them. If you dont already then you may be SOL

The cost of mistakes are so much lower in PvE. Most PvP players are way more skilled than our AI, so you can get away with bad builds for much longer.

Well ill say prior to this upcoming patch in pvp if you made a mistake with your build all you had to was switch out free equipment and try again.

In Pve the cost for making a bad buid was in gold, and you had a lot more options to make a mistake with. If you did make a mistake you paid it in gold.

I guess I just dont like what I see as a dumbing down of build options when a lot of us ask for the exact opposite. Its one of the main reasons a lot of wvw players say they wont enter the mists. bla bla “vocal minority”.

GoM shot itself in the foot, despite warning; we proceeded to try-hard and thus we went up in rank, and thus we felt into a 800 gem category, which nobody would pay 800 gems to go to an already low server. Regardless, the WvW community has restarted to rebuild, we have a [not so recent] return and transfers of new guilds, some of them small but organized. Right now we are just looking for coverag since we are all aware that it is night coverage what wins games.

We don’t tank, even if it means passing on an opportunity for free transfers. There’s plenty of servers in need and trying to skirt the system just wrecks things for everyone.

Wagons stop and break once it hit a wall… I expect HoD and DR to be teared apart at some point after the leagues…

Yup the free transfers haven’t really been kind to us on SF, FC,DH since we are in an awkward spot of having more people than t8 and yet still being low pop servers. Wish they didn’t make 13-15 free transfers at least. Why pay to go to a rank 16-19 server when you can stack on rank 13 or 20.

Can a dev confirm if we have to pay to change our pvp look? I can’t see myself getting behind that at all.
