Guide I made before I quit playing in December so it’s old and prepatch. You are of course gonna have to make some changes considering a lot has changed but it should give you a general idea on how to play.

Yes if it doesnt have a password, but if they do come to their arena dont get in their way. Back when my guild had a Custom Server we didnt mind who was there as long as they didnt get in the way of what we were doing.
(We had a pass but didnt mind giving it out, but the fact that you got to pay to upkeep a custom server is stupid.)

The only people i want on my team are Heros of Lions arch, Rift Wardens, Goldens, The Sunmaker(Or whatever it is) The Emperor, and best of all Combat Healer. Combat Healers are always unstoppable mosnters, dont even try to fight them.

Any chance mesmer will get any bug fixes before the ToL? Seeing as power block was nerfed and our damage will go back to pre patch.

It was a bugfix not a nerf. If you thought the way it was working before made any sense then there is no hope for you.

Wow just no. The only way I can tell the difference between people that have actually attempted to pvp a little more than casually and the Pve heroes that are flooding soloque is titles. If someone is a Reaper, or Champ (insert title here) I have a little more hope. If I see “been there done that”, “the sunbringer”, “hero of lions arch” etc I get discouraged because I feel they will likely not be as knowledgeable about pvp tactics.

Yup I now judge people on their titles since rank is gone.

Mesmers also arent on the receiving side of the damage, you can say nothings changed while critting 9k on someone with 3.2k armor. But until you constantly go up against it like the rest of us, just stop.

Maybe we can get a fix in the next feature pack.

i think he already knows that, man. a hambow is hard to fight against if you dont have stability because eventually you will run out of stun breakers and dodges. if this guy is running a non-bunker build, most possibly he’d be stunned to death without a fight.

Yeah like others have said already I bet you play a Mesmer, lol. Pulls, stuns and dazes for daaayss.. If any profession needs a nerf it’s Mesmers and that’s the only profession I’ve ever thought needed one. Not only are they confusing as hell to fight they can jerk you around like a ragdoll if you don’t have stability or enough stunbreakers. And as a Necro, stability is pretty well out of the question unless I want to go in to Plague and cheese blind spam them to death.
As for Sig of Spite, yeah I could see this needing a bit of a nerf. Personally I really dislike using anything that’s like an insta-win button. Sig of Spite is kitten close. It’s the “I don’t know how to stack all those conditions myself so it’s a good thing there’s a button that does it all in one attack” utility.

Dont forget immobilize stacks

Yeah I think mes ai damage is bugged, I have seen some crazy damage done by AI on builds with high armor, so I can only image what glass players have to deal with.

These people exist in pretty much every game, on the upside you can always come up with creative solutions to the problem.

As an example, there was a fellow yesterday in HotM who was insisting that he had rather non jovial relations with everybodies mothers and sisters, so I decided follow him around with a full purple Christmas outfit, throwing flowers at him where ever possible and professing my love to him.

tl,dr: deal with these people by upsetting them until they go offline, but do it in style.

I advise anyone to take a gander at their own stats post patch, @ http://www.gw2score.com/PvP/player/X, where X is your playerid(ie: bob4444).

My teamq rank hasn’t been great for awhile, but it went from ~350 to un-ranked post patch, and my win percentage went from ~55% down to ~27%.

My build didn’t change. I didn’t change. etc. It’s purely the matchups that changed because of this influx of new players.

At the end of the day I don’t really give a kitten about my rank, but I DO give a kitten about being paired with equally skilled players, and that just isn’t happening right now.

So the answer for the time being? quit. I’ll be back in 3 weeks and hopefully all the new players will have either left or learned how to play.

It just isn’t worth the frustration.

I browsed through the first 100 pages of the SPvP forum and didn’t notice any reply whatsoever to anything regarding the Tribal Armor. I also don’t check the SPvP section ever. The question has never been answered here in the General Discussion.

Ha! Forgot they’d messed up the sPvP Cele amulet before this patch. I’m curious what the ratio of sPvP Cele stats is to what you can get on other ammies in PvP and compare it against what you can get out in WvW, but that’s for another thread.

And even so, hybrid stats surviving/thriving anywhere in the game is a delight to hear about.

from what i saw in another thread the Cele amulet has about 1k more stats than other pvp amulets, not sure if its true because i havent counted myself. But they did increase the Cele amulet in pvp because it was lacking and you can tell the difference. Not sure how it compares outside of PVP
