Ruin, BG has more PvE casuals than SoR…. I thought this was common knowledge by now? Anyways new live event took some of your people away. That is all that happened, and it is a repeat of others time it has as well.

You guys run a mean little 15 group. Those thieves were nasty as hell. Anyways we had some great fights. I’ll have the fights up friday on my youtube channel. I would like to have them sooner, but work then drunk commander night calls tomorrow.

Sorry for double post! Yeah, this is the first time we’ve ran a double thief combo hitting the back line. I haven’t really practiced with the other guy much, but I was switching targets a lot when necros went into things like death shroud and such, or eles mist formed, so I think the other thief couldn’t keep up too much with my target switching. It’s something we definitely need to practice. If we can get the double focus down, we’ll be a deadly duo for sure.

You made me make a quick and large adjustment after the first couple of rounds… gear,spec, and weapon to compensate even with you two not working together much yet. First time I have had to do that in any of our fights with anyone

That was a scrimmage for fun, not an official fight. You know ….kind of like how preseason football (american) isn’t a real football game.

Unfortunately our actual re-match against them was cancelled due to a disagreement. Regardless of how you feel about it, it is unfortunate that both sides couldn’t come to terms.

We need a robust system for this so challenges can be issued, people penalized in rating for not accepting, and a nominal ruling authority to resolve disagreements. Maybe an official rule set too that everyone adheres to so these issues are avoided in the future as well.

1. We have had a couple of guilds flat out refuse to fight us GvG.

2. We had a guild cancel on us last second over a rule dispute

3. We had an in progress GvG crashed by BT

Confirmed that it has slowed down on both rigs. One with SSD and one with standard hard drive.

I played on high setting before with no lag, not with the setting the exact same… it is hitching and stuttering. Definitely vastly worse for me because now I am forced to turn settings down when I did not have to before.

Huh? I don’t know how you play your elementalist, but mine has all kinds of crowd control. Is crowd control not a form of defense?

Crowd control is a form of defense, but there are so many way to negate conditions completely, cleanse them, and use gap closers in this game …combined with the extreme short duration of them to begin with, it just isn’t as effective of a defense as it is in other games.

This is backwards logic…. the reason why GvG is happening so much is because WvW is broken.

If this game encouraged and supported playing as a guild rather than forcing full map zergs, there wouldn’t need to be as much GvG activity because it would occur naturally while roaming like it did in DAOC regarding 8v8 fights.

GoEP – Needs to continue to work exactly the way it does now. No change needed except taking the stun break and putting it somewhere it makes more sense.

Glyph of Storms – Range increased to 1200 would be a good change too.

Unsteady ground – Make it a combo field

Other minor changes in staff:

Earth 5: Make this a cone instead
Air 2: Make instant cast
Air 3: Make cone and increase effect

Arcana:
Increase radii of all staff abilities to match blasting staff. Replace blasting staff with other staff specific ability that doesn’t shackle staff users to 20 arcane.

The higher end of ranks should take years to obtain. That carrot of improvement, even if minor, always needs to be there.

The achievements on the other hand need to be obtainable.

The sPvP rule set simply doesn’t allow for as much build diversity and is far too predictable to be engaging for me. Played plenty of games revolving around that in the past and got bored with them quickly.

Not to mention that this game already caters to the lowest common denominator…..

Horrible idea across the board and would be a pretty huge nerf. Doubtful poster plays the class.

I was standing up on the windmill ramp blowing up people when they ran up full force to where I was. My ego tells me they only went up there because I was there putting such a hurting on them……

Someone should post a video from the rest of the night of them running and porting away with their zerg every time they saw us.

More things to consider too… 2650ish power (power… not attack power, also 112% crit damage) not including any might stacks I may have had too. Also was also getting 20% on him from earth/water traits. You can see where bolt kicked in too for 20% more on top of it all.

Umm my FPS stays up in big fights. The only problem I every have is ability lag, which is server side.

Not really. They wiped to our 15 plus a couple of random spectators they didnt manage to kill when they rolled through them while we were GvGing.

I switched to my stacking weapon as we chased them to the bridge and went from 0 to 25 stacks before the fight was even half way over. It is kind of cute that they posted a very small clip fighting an enemy they out numbered from the start, had a huge advantage over, and still had to edit out both the beginning and the outcome where they wiped to a smaller force… with survivors retreating to a tower.

Even funnier because they wiped two more times with superior numbers over us and spent the rest of the night running on inc and porting away. Funny trolling there. I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Thanks for the good time…. but wait until after a GvG is done next time.

Great video of RE and TW trying to wipe us at the same time. We utilized the bridge as a choke with the numbers they had on us. The fun part was positioning RE and TW between each other during the fights. Was a hot of a time.

I was watching as BT interrupted the 15v15 of RE v TW, they hit with their usual map blob wiped most of the spectators, then died to the gvg’ers who were standing below.

Yeah, BT interrupted the GvG with what looked to be a map size zerg and got farmed by RE/TW who stopped fighting each other to kill them.

BT then got farmed a couple of times by TW before resorting to running/porting away with a full map zerg when seeing us. Kinda sucks because we didnt have that many according to supply info …well at least in comparison to them.

Anyways, I get that you enjoy busting up GvGs…. but if you get upset about random people on the map participating in farming you, perhaps you should just schedule a GvG against us and get it over with?

Irony actually transferred to SoR last year in the fall after starting out on JQ. The game not really supporting smaller groups in WvW combined with real life caused the guild to scatter to the 4 winds.

On a side note:

That guy Jahn seriously needs to stop stalking TW. I see him lurking around in empty chat channels at odd hours for extended periods of time like he is just waiting for someone to log in from our guild so he can snoop around.

I think we need to go into our passworded guild channel more often…..
