I only really have one toon and it’s a warrior. This is my first MMO that I have really ever played so I am not really good at knowing what traits/skills/armor/so on, to equip and run to make a really good build. I only play pve/dungeons, no wvw or pvp. My current build is a build that has evolved slowly over time just changing stuff on my own and messing around. I know it isn’t a real great or optimal build, just the skills and weapons I like to use personally.
So, the build is Knight’s armor (PPT), Longbow/Axe+sword and 20/30/20/0/0. Most of my sigil’s are just random stuff that I found along the way. I know it may be considered “noob” to run the skills I use, but meh I don’t know any better and that’s why I am asking here in part. I run, Signet of stamina, Signet of Might and Banner of defense (mostly so I can use it to run faster). And for my elite I run the offensive golem or I will possibly switch to battle standard in dungeons.
So, several questions:
1. I want to better equip my build for what I do (pve). I don’t really want to change from knight’s armor in large part because of the cost of new armor unless it really would make the build that much better (I know zerker is the most popular)?
2. I could use some real help improving my sigil’s on both my armor and weapons. I want to change them all considering they are a hodge podge of uselessness atm.
3. I chose the weapons I run because I like the skills, but I don’t think I have never heard anyone say they run axe+sword. Is that considered “wrong”? I guess I could go Longbow/GS like everyone else?
4. What skills should I be running to be most effective?
The biggest thing for me is the lack of experience in MMO’s and understanding what I should be running to make a better build. I can only go so far by changing things on my own and I feel like I am at that point, so here I am to ask you guys/gals.

I have gotten two skins in the 120ish chests I have opened with low and high level characters. 1/50 isn’t very high odds. And remember, it’s 1/50 every time you open a chest. It’s not like you open 50 chests and you are guaranteed to get one.

I agree in theory, but in practice this doesn’t really hold water. Given that dungeon running is a group required activity, you aren’t just making the decision yourself. You have to make the decision of which dungeon to run based on what the other available and interested players are wanting to run as well as what you want. If 90% of the dungeon running players want to run once specific path of one specific dungeon, it’s not always about what you personally want to do. Either you run it too, or you are forced to potentially spend hours scratching together a party to do something else.
The only reason it is easy to find a group to run CoF path 1 is cause it’s so easily farmable. Take that away and it becomes the same as you are talking about, hard to find a group.
gw2lfg is full of ‘LF 4 ZERK WARRS’. Clearly the reward you gain for running this dungeon day and night is completely unfair on those who just like to play the game. I’m probably hundreds of gold behind these people because they grind it infinitely like machines.
Who cares how much gold you or anyone else has? Just enjoy playing the game. If someone wants to waste hours and hours doing the same thing over and over like a machine, that is their loss by not enjoying the rest of what the game has to offer.

Dude, you took the exact words out of my mouth. I hate people kittening about how the stuff in the game is too easy or too hard.

And well, if “it’s too hard, learn to play. Because other people do it, why not you?”I think that should be the mentality of everyone. However, I know, nothing is perfect in this world so this would be asking for a lot.
It’s not just this, people will always complain no matter what Anet does. People should just start worrying about themselves and what they are doing in all aspects of the game. The only time there should be any complaining is when the actions of others are directly affecting their gaming experience, which is not as often as the number of complaints posted on these forums. As others have said, if you don’t like it, do one of the 10 other dungeons…..
