Surprised they didn’t cap quickness to 10 seconds but maybe that’s a sheltered thought, it’d be interesting to see how alacrity and quickness could work with bloated durations.

So can anyone explain to me the logic behind anets decision with an actual reason that makes sense? Other than they cant work out how to split 10 man buffing from the rest of the game (probably the real reason).
10 man buffs means Anet’s servers must do more computations per second than it does now. This costs money. That’s the reason.
In an instance with only 10 players inside I’m pretty kitten sure that won’t be a problem, nor overly difficult to do
Making buffs spread would have made controlling them easier, if there is ever a point where the team is together and there is two PS Warriors meleeing you can’t guarantee all 10 players will gain might, same goes for the other buffs.
I’d understand if damage numbers became worryingly high with all those stacked modifiers but the excuse they gave was mind numbingly stupid.

Ah sounds about right, I recall how demotivating it was to work out how long it would take to make a full set of CoF gear. But yeah, that was really prestigious armour at the time, until people grinded that arah bug >.>
Tokens were pretty ridiculous at release to be fair, 5 per path I think? that combined with the bugs and green gear made tokens seem pretty valuable.

Given how squishy they are they should either a modify the* trait to give them a bigger health pool or increase the range and place them similarly to how you placed GW1 spirits, if there is literally no safe place for them then it’s fair game IMO.

They balance and test everything in PvP/ the lobby with PvP stats on static objects. Also it’s the “PvE heroes” crunching numbers and know the real offensive potential of classes which is exactly what is being discussed here.
Aura unlocks and management would be cool though I suppose the argument would be that Legendary auras are supposed to tie in with the theme of the Legendary. As for the Hive effects/ Selfless Potion and whatnot it would make a lot more sense than how it is now.
You’re going off on a tangent here, weighing in HoT changes and any presumptions on that alone isn’t going to achieve anything. Icebow is just a giant sized Cherry on a really strong class, sustain damage from Staff has always been good, the damage from Glyph alone is good and MS hits like a truck.
I could factor in a lot more important feats than just damage but I’ll leave that for now, I can picture another class replacing a second/third Elementalist but dropping out of the meta altogether would take a lot more than nerfing IB.
Considering the benefits of prestacking might/ fury and the strengths of glyph/MS, no.

Reflects are largely unbalanced however you can’t change the fact most bosses in this game are stupidly easy though. Stargazer would be slightly more interesting if he didn’t die in 10 seconds and actually required chained reflects/absorbs, on the other hand he has two skills, one of which with an obvious tell.
For ultimate pug life experience I suggest co-driver mode in GTA V online.
Driver drives the car but can’t see checkpoints. Co-driver sees the checkpoints and must tell the driver where to go.

We received one armour skin in PvE and one in PvP in the last 2 years, HoT expectations aside that’s a pretty crummy fact. At least the with the gem store we’d get new skins every couple of months without the complications of lore and all that jazz required to introduce it.
A mixture of in-game and gemstore armour skins would have been a better way forward than outfits.
Why D/P when you can P/P? Ranged defiance strip and superior scholar bonus uptime, win win

There is a few places where Scholar is slightly better in solo but most of the time it’s better to use Strength Runes
Defiance is being changed, Chronos can cover stealth quite easily and I doubt D/D is going to be great against raid bosses but we’ll see.
Maybe Sesshi exploited the games auto attack system to do bigger DPS and that is why he killed him so fast?

Have you considered that people have had the same happy meal for 3 years and don’t want to stick around to kitten around with the toy? All typical “zerk only, fast run pls” lfgs are all aiming to finish the dungeon as fast as they can.
If you want to cutscene RP then state that in an LFG and you might find the right group, learning to solo dungeons which are designed for 5 man isn’t a walk in the park and it won’t make your experience more enjoyable.

What I recall from that meeting is that they wanted a maximum of one approver per guild as a safety net, and not a static one per guild. Anyone can apply as long as it doesn’t break that rule and they meet Weth’s standards ofc.

Chop the CD of banners down to 30 seconds with an equal duration, remove interaction with them completely and instead give a temporary buff (similar to what OP mentioned) for 5-10 seconds.
You wouldn’t need a banner trait and the issue with having to picking them up in PvE is gone.
Beyond the lack of raw damage for the cast times there is still a lack of sustain damage that should really be addressed. Much alike Guardian’s gaining increased damage while in symbols, perhaps there can be a similar trait for attacking child foes, or just adding steroids on skills.
Leaving a damaging Ice Field would be a nice touch and increasing damage against chilled foes should be tied in with Cold Shoulder instead of increasing Chill Duration (10% is meaningless when it is iterated in such small amounts).
Chilling Nova is a really cool trait but the cool-down is just really disappointing, it should be a continuous punishment for clumped up enemies, i.e. a reduced cd on hit.
Gravedigger is just poorly designed, the damage is mediocre, horrific cast times and an extremely obvious tell. Even with a reduced cast time and 100% CD reduction you would just look like a ballerina.
I was wow’d by the visuals of this class but it needs so much work.

J/w is the karma for Obsidian Shards? Silverwastes CF is a fast way to get them directly and a small but respectable amount of Karma. Otherwise EotM karma trains are probably the best source of karma followed by low level Fractals/ Tequatl.
I’m definitely going to pick the 23K AP WvW Staff Guardian over the properly geared 3K AP GS M/T Guardian /s. I don’t even pug any more to be fair, AP isn’t nearly as relevant as checking what passives you can see by their name, weapons they’re holding and what food/nourishment they have (if at all).
As for OP, if AP wasn’t visible then people wouldn’t bother grinding achievements at all.
That end section of CM is just poorly designed, you can literally walk out of the map from the corner gate where the water is. Easiest fix would be to patch those terrain spots and it would take the least effort of any alternative.
That being said if it takes longer than killing him on spot (which it does) then it isn’t as big of a deal as one shotting lupi for example, which is something only pugs seem to do and always seem to enforce.

It takes less than two seconds to break four stacks without moving away from D/D or using any initiative, plus there is only a couple of encounters where chain freezing is actually worth while such as Shaman for skipping phases.
I don’t know why PW and headshot are being compared, PW is a stun and using it 5 times would take ~11 seconds. If you really have to strip more than four stacks then headshot for a second/third freeze is the only reliable alternative.
