D/P Strip Thieves, Facestabbers and people who wait for deep freezes, just a few of my pet peeves
It’s pretty illogical that obsidian shards are becoming less rare than spirit shards/sps, I get something like 90 shards for 2 hours of SW and half of that in spirit shards.
Had a tad over 20k skill points this time last year, money making and Legendaries happened and now I have a few hundred left. Best advice I can give you from someone in a similar position is to smash out SW Chest Farms for a couple hours a night, I leech from an organized guild and get around 300 bags in that time which works out at maybe 50-70 spirit shards a night on top of all the Obsidian Shards/ whatever you may need.
Rangers: Weetabix
Nobody likes you.
How can you not like Weetabix?
Thief: Malted Milk; all is good until it breaks into a dozen pieces in your tea
T6 will likely remain how they are, they are just too easy to acquire for them to spike in value, metals could spike and I personally know a few people who made stockpiled certain metals over a year ago when they announced new ascended mats that would have some “future” use.
It’s just a GM trying to reap that free daily bonus chest
There were 2 significant time when i was kicked. First it was in hotw, just joined the party with my guardian (footnote: lfg was only guardian party) . I had time for just a short “hy” and got kicked immediatlely. The ap couldnt be problem, cuz i had the 2nd highest among the party mates.
The second one was in CoE. The lfg was the next: " only 80 exp, know what u do" no class or gear req. was added. Joined with my condi guard(yep, i knoe, not a meta build, but works perfectly in dungeons and fractals). After the golem melted in record time, the lil “friend” had the O.o face and asked, that how the kitten am i dareing to wear nonzerker armor, and i have 10 sec to switch my gear. I couldnt even answer, i got kicked. Yep, he wa a tanky joke engi, but he know what it takes to do a dungeon.Anyway, jut got kicked for being necro only once, but they 9roperly and kindly explained why they dont want me. Thats not a problem. In the upper 2 situation was a bit wtf factor for me. Again, i know condi guard isnt meta, but works correctly, and had never problem with it.
Ppl just flaming each other, and the elitist train jusr rush forward. Yes, there is the answer " make ur own party" or “search for non zerker party” but thats not man answer if u se my kicks. The problem is the dungeon system. Ok im n8t voting for a hard holy trinity system, just unfair for the nonzerk characters to being downscaled just cuz the are not mindless hack and slash ones. The support wheel theory in tanky gears is a bad one too. It would be wiser to balace the stat scaling (toughtness and healing too) to be viable and maybe prefered. The dungeon design is kitten on the base: is ok that only zerk is faster then balanced or old school setup teams, but a kitten joke that its the same hardness. To hell with it, sweat blood with it! It isnt high risk high reward, its just no risk fast reward. Balance it correctly for no risk slower reward, extremely hard fast reward system. And it could get a timer bonus, for bonus chest, bonus tokens etc…. in the current system the dungeoneer can be elitist kittenheads cuz it allows them to be, cuz no hardness, no chalenge in taking the mindless setup. Active defence over passive is ok if there is need for it to use, and till an optimal limit. In the most dungeons with full zerk team that keeps up 25 might its even active def. Is meaningles cuz th3 boss dies faster than any deadly could happen. And its just a bad design. And they say necros are selfish… joke
Btw this was likely the hardest thing I’ve ever read. Your whole opinion is just convoluted and doesn’t add up, what you’re saying is that playing pure offensive stats is easier than running tanky gear and that running tanky gear should be equally rewarding for the “risk” it carries.
You also think toughness/healing power should be be in line with offensive stats which doesn’t make any sense? the foundation of being a tank is to absorb damage and ball enemies away from your team but active defenses and teamwork mitigate any need for that, furthermore trash AI prevents external balling from even happening, they will swap targets and run at whoever is attacking them, not even taunt can bolster this kind of tactic.
Although you insist with profanity that it is elitists that are kicking you but it really isn’t, 90% of the time you’ll be kicked by pugs who don’t even know what they’re running or why they’re running it, it’s just a game of chinese whispers with meta builds.
Active defenses will always be number one over tanky stats, a wall/blinds/aegis completely mitigate attacks and if anything is overpowered it is those. Lets say next patch all blinds have reduced effectiveness and walls break after ‘x’ hits, we wouldn’t automatically hop on the tanky stats train or make a dedicated healer/tank to help us (which doesn’t even work in a traditional manner), we would instead use other active defenses like protection/weakness and more frequent stability.
Transformations would be infuriating, the class is a weapons master by definition, not an Animorph. Torch doesn’t sound too good either, if it was my job I’d focus on duel wielding and unique F1 mechanics (maybe even burst stances rather than finishers).
“Another melee weapon”, there is two, and two ranged weapons. Rifle is boring enough on the other two classes. I’d pick any weapon over Rifle any day, Longbow would be far more interesting and fitting.
Recently got mine restored after losing it over a year ago, huge props to GM Shaolin ShadowBoxing.
did you just write a ticket asking to restore it?
because i lost mine too (i think by deleting the char where it was on)
when there was no wardrobe some time after release
Yeah they were very persistent in letting me know this was a one time request though so I wouldn’t hassle them too much :-) It was technically a gem store purchase so it’ll have history, they can equally just check your account age.

I was looking forward to listening to a bunch of nerds talk about rules for 3 hours :^(
Shaman is a really nice fight, the only shame is that you can skip transitions with CC. Mai however is just a boring time gated fight, 3/4 of that encounter is cannon phases in a coordinated team.
Give her one transition and make stealthing obsolete for the cannon phase and there we have a nice boss fractal.
They could separate cape designs amongst the races if it were to ever be reconsidered. Charr’s would suit the banner style rather than a physical cape, Sylvari with a leaf textured cape, Asura with smaller crystal embedded capes, Norns and Humans with classic style capes, perhaps rougher and torn for Norns.
See this thread:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Windows-10-gotchas
Think I’ve already read that thread, I’m more interested in what the performance difference is like and hindrances, reinstalling and kittening around with drivers is to be expected :P
Is anyone running on Windows 10, and if so what has been your experience? I’m on the fence about jumping boat so early but it seems there is at least working Nvidia drivers and I’m only playing this game at the moment anyway.
You are massively underestimate how much time and effort it would take to turn all the fractal bosses into gauntlet fights and how difficult it would be to balance them and implement them in all their variations.
This is a very small and expensive band aid solution, even though it sounds good.

They made a perfectly functional kick button. There is no reason why they should spent time implementing new content because people don’t know how to properly use existing features in the game.
“Just let everyone enter any university they like hiding how good they are, waste everyone’s time and kick them outside later – instead of putting entrance exams to gate those out straight away.”
“Just let everyone get any job they like hiding how good they are, waste everyone’s time and kick them outside later – instead of putting a CV and an interview to gate those out straight away.”
Your glorified noob filter plan would take a lot of extra development time when there is simpler options that use less resources and have an equal or greater affect, i.e. implement a tiered title or some other simple visual way of exalting veteran and experienced Fractal players.
Your idea isn’t bad but it’s wasteful and only addresses a fraction of the problems.

Ah yeah misread, no there isn’t AFAIK but they’re “looking” at fixing his auto attack but that’s just a community manager trying to communicate with developers. This kind of information isn’t shared with us anyway, it just ends up in a random patch (like every other dungeon change).
Will tanks become meta? probably not. Will it make potentially very difficult content easier? maybe.
A tank doesn’t stop your team from getting mowed down when stacking, it doesn’t let your team open field trash mobs, all a tank can effectively do is hold boss agro which is only a small portion of a fractal and people generally work around that.
Protection/weakness could be a necessity since they protect your team and other factors like potency and timing of blinds might become a “thing” but as long as their attack speed remains the same that will be the best way to deal with trash.
It would just mean that instead of using the best pure DPS class picks we’ll take the best condition damage class picks, which don’t include Ranger or Necro.
I personally don’t care if condition builds become optimal in this case, it will add more flavour to harder content, I’m not however looking forward to making even more gear sets when I’m already using a static minimum of 60/160 slots on most of my characters -_-
I’m expecting a similar leader-board feature as the elite missions did in Guild Wars (1), best times weekly, monthly and yearly/all time. Perhaps rewards for the fastest team in that week for each scale?
This video at 1:26, look where he places his wall of reflection, have fun cheesing.
What a cute couple
Isn’t the Queen’s Pavillion right around the corner? that should keep up distracted for a month.
Great salty contribution Bartek, thanks for the input.
Monthly tournaments would be pretty sweet, I’m sure someone at Anet would payout since they’ve had some extremely good viewer figures with previous tournaments.
Fractals could perhaps be setup as a single head to head fractal and a best of X scenario, other people could be holding those maps in each region ready for each team (if people are dedicated enough?). The point system was good but it’s tough to balance fairly, I also didn’t like the use of consumables for obvious reasons.
Can organize weapons as d/ – /d to milk Quick Pockets harder (or mash the kitten out of a choir bell)
I’m guessing people prefer pressing F on chests than difficult content like Fractals so they just buy it ¯\(’’/)/¯
Almost as sick as my ranger rotation ?
*Perry gets arrows but I don’t? kitten this forum
(edited by doddbox.8153)
It’s not that it doesn’t work… They purposly changed the affects on them cus the sounds were ‘annoying’ players
Doubt it was anywhere near as bad as the SAB horn, I’ll have a check later. The fact they cut off the night time effects and had no followup is saddening. Other Legendaries got some serious loving, even Moot.
Err well, I haven’t had a precursor in 3 years until last weekend, chucked 5k gold in chunky intervals and about 30k mixed tokens over that time for nothing. I was actually throwing in an inventory full of crappy dire/shamans exotics that probably amounted to 35/40g and Storm pooped out for a Legendary I’ve already made ¯\(?)/¯
Too bad I’ve already bought all the remaining precursors, I feel like the kid that didn’t get any christmas presents but now I’m 40 years old and married I get a lego firetruck in the mail from my parents.
They sit in tutorial areas I think. The last wave of gold spammers didn’t affect me till I made a new character, and then I guess I suddenly made it onto their script and started getting a kitten load of messages every day.
wrong post m’gg

TotC isn’t going to benefit your team if you’ve already capped those boons, but in those less effective comps or trios then it’s going to be an effective option I guess.
Screwing up a CnD rotation because of quickness is just down to player skill.
Looks like Perry is a dirty hacker then
Haste is a must, bountiful theft is better most of the time IMO (10s AoE vigor) and boon strip. If you’re spamming withdrawal for running then It’s viable to use trickster but the CDR and single condi cleanse isn’t that good comparatively.
Drops from the daily chest at an extremely rare rate, 0.01%?
Someone re-posts this video every 6 months and whines about how it’s not anything like what they proposed. Even though some of it is contextually true they still made a game better than I imagined. Furthermore this is the only game that I log into and abruptly think wow kitten this is a pretty kitten game.
Held off from crafting this since I saw a thread about it not working 18 months ago, some things never change apparently =/
Only a developer could confirm that, personally I don’t think so.
That Kodan definitely needs the fall damage trait
If Necromancers had similar mechanics to their Guild Wars counterpart they would be extremely useful in PvE while retaining the mutually exclusive elements to maintain the all important versatility of team comps.
The whole Curses line was pretty kitten great, skills like Barbs and Mark of Pain made a lot of extreme comps possible.
Mechanics like these got stripped out in the design process in order to simplify everything down to boons, conditions and raw damage etc. Rather than interpret them in a way that fits in with the new mechanics they were left out.
It’d be nice if the game introduced PvE only skills (similar to NF/GWEN expansions) as a way to manifest new skills/ mechanics and break up the PvE/PvP retrofitted balancing.
1) Equip Glyph of Storms
2) ????
3) End Chest
Doesn’t make thematical sense for a Reaper/Necromancer to shout and it doesn’t suit the traditional instant cast mechanic.
The ecto-merchant consumable is just a better/ more portable version of a personal merchant, pretty happy just kitting those out on all my characters.
This traitline/weapon isn’t even remotely DPS oriented, we’re looking at a boon control build with butt loads of support. Hopefully the weapon isn’t tied with the traitline because there is some practical ooc uses to them.
