I did an ~13 minute duo… without even trying.
Might be possible with exec axe and defiant stance. Not sure.
Definitely not if you don’t have any other mobility/heals. Maaaybe with bull’s charge as well but I don’t think so.
Dungeons are designed for 5 players. Bringing less than 5 players in a dungeon you will still be able to complete it, but it will be harder. There is no “scaling” or anything going on, other than your effective level in lower than 80 dungeons.
Some dungeons can’t be completed by fewer than 5 because of boss design requiring a certain amount of players.
Well i’m happy about the regeneration phase tbh
It means you can’t really solo him anymore… unless you found some way around it.
They have enabled melandru’s regeneration phase again in the patch… and diving goggles don’t work anymore
Yep. Literally anything that isn’t a current meta dungeon/fractal record, can be posted in the other records section, and will be put on the board when it’s up (shouldn’t be far away).
Solo’s/duo’s, all 1 profession parties, naked runs, boss kills of any type/style. Just make sure you follow the rules!
As a note – There is no rule that the current meta record has to be performed with a full party, as shown by the AC P3 record that I just put back on the table. Considering how many records are currently empty, you could easily get the record for a few days with a 1-3 man party
So there will be a board on the front page with solos/duos and stuff?
You can use stability before he puts the crystal on you to not get caught.
Anet finally fixing exploits.
If your group’s instance-owner kicked someone and now threatens everyone else by kicking if he/they didn’t do what the almighty instance-owner said (himself being immune to kick), then just:
1. Wait till boss is 2% hp
2. /p ASTA LA VISTA BABY!
3. -Merge-Exactly, if someone threatens to screw you over, just take the innocent down with you.
Don’t hate the player.
It’s been months = That’s how the devs want the game to be.
I would disagree, but sadly that’s what it’s starting to look like.
i belive if anet really sees selling ac p1 or any other dungeon path that was completed by any kind of terrain skip as an exploit, all ppl who bought those paths once should be banned too!
Some people complete frequently exploited paths legitimately. Banning everyone who has sold/bought any of them is just stupid.

again, everyone who ever bought a dungeon path from a seller should be banned since they took part in the whole exploiting thing..
This may come as a shock to you but there are actually sellers that do everything legit.
Nice kill.
Just disable merging and flag anyone who is an instance owner as such and make them be unable to be kicked (there will be no kicking option when right-clicking their portrait). The instance can still be destroyed by having the instance owner leave the party. I don’t think this will break any ingame/server infrastructure and there should already be some way to identify istance owners in the game since it knows when to destroy instances.
Kicking instance owner and merging parties both still cause everyone to be kicked out of the instance.
Just fix this already, please.
Berserker requires no skill. Stacking requires no skill. Living requires no skill. Well done, QQers.
I don’t PVE carebear at all so I don’t really understand how people get their funsies off doing the same dungeons for an entire year or so; nonetheless, have some of you ever considered that, in all your complaining, the content itself requires no skill????
So surely, instead of being lazy and nerfing Berserker stats, ANet should actually put time into redesigning key elements of said content? Idk.
Wow, you actually think Anet should do something to improve their game? Get the kitten out.
Just make a group stating ‘no stacking noobs’ and leave us be.
My instance has been crashed for looking for 3 more people to do a dungeon path.
I used to duo Arah P1, you just got the leechers to sit on the tar spouts. Not sure if other people are doing the same for solo, but I don’t know how else they’d do it (someone tried to tell me you could put ‘things’ on the spouts, but I feel like that wasn’t true, unless I just did it wrong).
On EU servers people use the LFG tool to find others to help with Shoggroth only and pay them 1g each.
Did anyone understand that stuff about sigils btw? How will sigil functionality change? Will double stacking no longer work?
Probaly Banner of Discipline nerf since they have an excuse now that crit damage is ferocity
God, I hadn’t even though about that yet. Lightning Hammer will probably get the axe as well.
The patch was as usual, some good changes, some bad changes. But the crit dmg change was just ridiculous, 10% dmg decrease for no good reason, other than to appease the anti-zerk crowd. If Anet would just play their own game at a high level they would see that this change is just completely unnecessary.
They specifically said Lightning Hammer will be changed as well
Woohoo!

It’s not changed purely for PvE, one big part of it is the quite ridiculous burst you can achieve in WvW due to extremely high crit damage, you can’t do the same in sPvP.
I must admit I know nothing about WvW so that could be true. Still, I think there surely could have been other ways to do this besides nerfing zerker damage. To me at least, it feels like a big middle finger.

I wish I had watched it. Did anyone get any good questions answered?
Edit:
That´s so cute
Awesome info. Very content as always.
Do they sell AC paths in NA because I haven’t seen any yet?
I want to buy to level my necro up as fast as I can. Jesus, it’s painful.
Be aware that you can only get the full 70% of level dungeon exp twice in a row before DR kicks in. It resets in about 30 minutes.
The following formula is used for calculating karma rewards from fractals:
(640 + 8 * Completed difficulty) * (Personal reward level – Completed difficulty) = Karma awarded
The (Personal reward level – Completed difficulty) factor is capped at 10.
All bonuses (from achievements, banners etc.) are applied to the Karma reward.
So:
1. Yes.
2. It pops at the same time as the daily IIRC, before you accept the daily that is.
3. Level 1 would give less karma than 40 but you also have to take time spent in account. If you have a regular group you are running with that is experienced, 40 would probably be worth doing over 1. Level 40 gives 3.2k karma more than level 1 which is roughly 50% more. If you can run level 1 twice in the time that you can run level 40 once I would just run that over and over.

Yeah… AH only heals the guardian and not the group. That’s why it’s useless.
They do not kick and sell (well most don’t). It’s just so easy to take a thief-Shadow Arrow)/mesmer (Blink)/elementalist (Lightning flash), [Edit, didn’t see video] bug through the floor to kill the boss underwater… that kicking people is not necessary (I bet not even effecient, it’s quicker to skip about 55% of the path).
on arah p4?
On ACp1… That’s what the thread is about no?
Well you can do the same with Arah p2, that’s why there’s so many p2 sellers and the price is so cheap…
True, however that’s not 1g-1g5 like AC. + There is no way to solo AC the legit way so you know for sure that any seller has exploited.
He is using some consumables that have been disabled in dungeons but it wouldn’t surprise me if there is still some way to do the burrow event solo.
- Critical damage changes
All is vain.
Skips in P1 are definitely tougher to new people than in P3.
On behalf of Dub
Because all the healers and DPSers are hiding behind the tanks?
I don’t know…maybe play the game? Have players use skills that pull mobs together, switch back and forth from melee and range appropriately. And yeah, even stand close together with your group…this is different from stacking in which you are literally not allowed to dodge or move.
Not using any pulling skills and not dodging are all indicators of bad play. Good players will still dodge at the appropriate time while stacking, use skills such as blinds, reflects, blocks and if they are forced to unstack, e.g. due to an illusionist in Arah they will use pulling skills to group the mobs and cleave them down.
Looks good. I’m assuming that clicking on any of the dungeons brings up the record table? Would be awesome if that would give records for each party size as well as every category. Maybe add an Other Records section, for solo’s and other interesting stuff.
In phase 1 he strictly follows a rotation, he can never kick twice in a row. In phase 2 he doesn’t kick, where the swipe is the only thing threatening you as warrior.
Actually he can kick twice in a row, it just almost never happens.
Never happened in any of my solo’s :o
I’ve had it happen twice. First time I kissed the ground. Second time I did the same.

To be honest the thing I liked most about GW1’s records was the creative ways the teams came up with to clear all objectives the fastest. Yes, some did use exploits, but those exploits made these runs more interesting, to me at least. In GW2, some exploits (like the Arah skip) make things more boring and less imaginitive by skipping a lot of things that could be solved in creative manners. Other exploits make long, boring parts faster and more exciting. I think that having to complete every objective required by the game to proceed but allowing anything inbetween would make speedclears become similar to the way they were in GW1. There would be exploits, but they would make things more exciting and more interesting.
Of course this coin has two sides, because what if eventually everyone used the same exploits and all runs became the same? This problem would probably surface with the strict ‘no exploit’ rules as well. Eventually, when there is no other possible way to do things faster, everyone will do it that way. It’s just inevitable.
Can’t wait.
We are trying to take steps to address some of the dominance of Berserker/DPS players. More info next week, I think.
Jon
If you want to go through with this, please do not make Berserker’s setups weaker but make the other setups stronger/more useful. Nerfing the zerker gear will only end in dumbed down and more boring gameplay. Buffing everything else will likely have similar effects but there might be ways to avoid them more so than when nerfing zerker.
This will eventually create an elitists community that is far worse then if we had a damage meter. When damage meter is present people strive to be top 5, with the lack of one… or the ability to raid in 40 man group… people go for the next best thing which is “How fast ?…”
So you are saying that if we had a damage meter people would try to do the most damage instead of killing bosses the fastest. Now correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I know the more damage you do, the faster you kill bosses. So implementing a damage meter would actually promote the “How fast?” mentality.
Or if you are that lonely ele, pop embers
His and his party’s setup was entirely geared towards making him do the most damage. This should not be common in any regular party especially in pugs.
I think this boss has very low armor and that is why it takes so much damage.
Yes I admit , I havent completed a solo yet because I dont use the glitch that allows you to afk phase 3. Sorry for fighting bosses the way it was intended by the devs.
So you aren’t good enough to do it without pushing him against the wall?
+10% damage sigils (Night or Slaying, or Force if you don’t want to get a different weapon for every enemy type).
I’d say Accuracy is a solid second choice for any profession (if you don’t hit 100% crit chance without it), or take an Energy sigil if you need those extra dodges.
For professions that utilize reflects Perception is probably better than Bloodlust, otherwise Bloodlust should give you the biggest DPS boost. You can double stack these by taking two 1 handed weapons and slot a stacking sigil in each of them so you will get 2 stacks per kill.
