“Zerker meta idols” come up with new ideas and tactics, record them and post them online, PUGs start copying them and overusing them, getting them nerfed (sometimes).
Recently a lot of my Arah pugs blast stealth and run through the middle to the Lupi gate, something which I believe was popularized by Arah records.

If you ask questions about the meta and dungeons, and award prizes for correct answers, won’t all the top players take all the prizes and the more casual players (who this event should be catered towards, since the goal is to promote clarity on certain issues) will be left behind.
Have it reward us more (and less than it does now for super-speedy runs) for runs that take longer (with a timer that keeps progress of when we actually “do” stuff). Standardize all dungeons to have approximately the same reward / time, no matter how meta or un-meta the teams are.

People often say that taking longer to kill a boss makes the berseker player work harder, due to needing to manage the sometimes lenthgy active defenses cooldowns they have. Killing a boss fast removes this from the equation. Killing a boss not so fast, well, based on some arguments I have read on these forums, is “harder” for berserker players. I’ll find an example of someone saying this when I have more time, currently working
So yeah, based SOLELY on some of the stuff I have read on the forums posted by some top tier dungeon enthusiasts, he just may be on to something.
Sure, it would be harder for a full berserker player to take longer to kill a boss. But if the objective is to make the bossfight last longer, you could just replace your berserker gear with nomads and exchange all your damage for passive defense.
Your damage would be pitiful, but you would be able to facetank almost any boss in the game (especially with 4 other nomad players) and would draw out each fight to be very long, but ultimately put even less effort into the game because all you had to do was spam skill 1.

Yes, a certain scale will always be the same island, so scale 11 will be Cliffside, scale 20 will be Swamp, scale 25 will be Thaumanova etc.

If all you care about is rewards, there will always be one option that is more lucrative than all others from a time cost/reward perspective.
Right, but as it is right now, after swamp there are still 3 random fractals you have to complete which are different every time.
With the new system, if there is one scale that is always the absolute best for rewards, people will only ever run that scale, and since every scale now always has the same island, we would be running the same fractal forever.
There has to be some mechanic that randomizes reward or something to keep this from happening.
The rewards you get from an island will scale based on the island type. So an island that is typically longer (cliffside) will give more rewards then one that is typically shorter (swamp). This will discourage you from just farming swamp forever.
The new daily achievements will require you complete different fractal scales. You won’t be able to just do swamp X times to complete the achievements.
This might mean a group picks their favorite set of scales (3 to 9 or so islands) to clear each day, but repeatedly farming the same scale or same island will not be as beneficial.
So instead of farming Swamp forever, we will farm Cliffside forever?

What about the reward system? Since there will be 3 new tiers of rewards: 1-20, 21-50 and 51-100, does this mean there is one daily chest for each of these tiers, which all give the same reward? Or do they scale with the fractal level?
If not, people will just do the lowest swamp every day and that’s that. If it does, people will do 100 every day and have the exact same fractal every day.

New dungeons should be in the same format that Underworld and Fissure of Woe were in GW1: big open area with a certain amount of objectives to complete in any order that you see fit.

The real question is, why do you care? It’s a recipe to make an exotic PTV trinket, it’s not like those are really hard to come by. The item would be pretty much worthless.
Point is: as a result I wont be able to play with nobody but few wannabe elitistic, hardcore grinders totaly addicted to this game with ascended gear equipped to the teeth which I really hate in game because they only play with builds from web and cant do anything else besides raising ach. points above 15k and are still noobs. Most of gamers I meet in game are like 1,500-3000 achievement points noobs who just learned how to survive personal story and are not fit for dungs requiring more than auto-attacking mobs (you can find those in Ascalonian catacombs, CoF).

Of course it is easy as fart for me to do SE p2 but for everyone else its super hard. You see people are blocking my progress. Its just sadly ridiculous that people could spent 3hours in GW1 in dung nowhere near stage 3 final boss and enjoying with heroes HM battles but ppl refuse to do 30minutes dungeon run in GW2 Europe megaserver.

Let’s say we do allow jumping over walls. The first time it is done it is a novel strategy and everyone is wowed. After that, it becomes the status quo and we are back to square one as the same strategy is rehashed in subsequent runs. Eliminating “exploit” rules is not going to increase creativity or innovative solutions. Instead it will reinforce stale tactics that MUST be used in order to get a better time.
The same can be said for “no exploit” rules. There will always be a status quo until someone finds a better way, exploits allowed or not.

Hey man, don’t be imposing unnecessary rules on me. It’s limiting creativity and interesting solutions.
Allowing hacks isn’t the same as allowing things that are achievable through in-game means available to the player without any manipulation of the game by outside programs. It’s a total non-argument.

R: is indeed range. Range for distance floaters and ally list to be more specific. Although the 14000 one is quite pointless as I see, the game won’t provide information further than ~6000 anyway.
As for hotkeys, that would be quite easy to do, but different to this projects purpose. I’ll probably just write you an extra tool for it.
Would be useful to have an all-in-one tool for that kind of stuff. You could call it… GW2ToolBox
