Meatbags that take 10 minutes to kill and have a total of 2 kittening attacks are brainmeltingly boring. And Aetherpath is too puzzly/gimmicky/nonskippablecutsceney for me to enjoy.

CM comes after that but with a good team (read: SC since they are the only ones that actually do that kitten) it’s ok.

As per Chris’s post in the other thread, the mesmer got a 3 day ban for not exploiting, that’s a pretty gud job Anet. Certainly turns me off from selling if I’m just gonna get banned for doing it legit.

I’m down, need to level my NA account anyways. I’ll invite you, see if I can find anyone else.

Fillers wont work anymore.

1. You list a LFG with 3 fillers
2. Someone joins your party and pays, filler leaves
3. Friend of the person who joined first joins and they quickly kick you and your fillers
4. They invite their friends

They now get 5 dungeon slots for the price of 1. Everybody chips 1/5th of the price to the guy who joined first and they all just got a free daily minus ~1g.

First of all, the person that got banned never actually posted the screenshot nor made the image showing the edited screenshots (otherwise they would have used their own ban screen I’d think). Second, I think that if Anet starts checking sellers for exploiting, that’s great, but they should at least know enough about the exploits they are banning for to not wrongly ban someone. It’s not fair to punish legit players for things that malicious players do.

Also, we have seen in the past week that stirring up drama like this is the only way to actually get Anet to listen. So if more people get wrongfully banned I can completely understand if they want to make things like that to show to the community that things actually aren’t going as well as they might think.

Another easy solution would be to allow us to set passwords to LFG groups. That way, people will have to send you the payment up front before you send them the password to join.

Interestingly noone noticed the discrepancy between the gm standing next to the player but the map showing them to be far away.

Well the GM also isn’t in a party in both of the screenshots so that would be why.

AFAIK that waypoint still spawns after you killed Abom

I don’t think anyone thinks Anet is photoshopping, rather the player that uploaded that picture. What I don’t get is why in the player picture the player is a mesmer and in the picture Chris posted the player is an elementalist?

So… I might be missing something here, but why is the screenshot of the elementalist relevant? Because as I understand it, the mesmer was not banned, but why did the GM come up to him and say “Legit” and then not ban him while he did go up to that elementalist and say “Legit” and then banned him?

This makes me think that both screenshots were taken at the same time which is of course not possible.

I think Colin Johanson said a long time ago, if they keep releasing new dungeon, it’ll just keep fracturing the player base.

I get the impression we won’t be seeing major dungeon updates with that interview.

One of the problem I see is since there is no gear tier, even if they release new dungeon, people won’t run it often. I remember running aetherblade TA dungeon a few times. And more often than not, people’ll just say they won’t run it again in the end because it take too long for the reward they receive.

Maybe if they release a dungeon with a reward scheme that doesn’t suck people will play it.

Even casuals can fall victim to this change if some of their team dropped out and they post a LFG like “at third boss, need 2 more”. 2 people can join, kick everyone and invite their friends.

After patch if you’ll DC while being in an instance solo it will probably be destroyed.

Wait, so why is the players poisiton in one location, quite a distance from the WP, then there is the stand out pic that shows him standing next to the WP? Did they run back to the WP and get banned there? Or did they WP back? But it looks like they were still in combat, so they couldn’t have used the WP…….I’m confused as to what this picture is representing. Do we know what the context of the “Dev” (not Gm as stated by other folks) is saying “legit”? Or is this person just mad they got caught?

Could have been a while between the top pic and the banning, the person got ooc and waypointed to show him it wasn’t exploited. And if someone permabanned for the grub rallying trick, that’s really low. Although I doubt Anet employees know about that lol.

You can do that now… just go to char select and log back in to the same character, it won’t destroy the instance if there are other people inside…

I think they should make it that if the instance owner is kicked, the instance is lost like usual. But if the instance owner is disconnected or offline, the instance will not be lost.

That solves the grief issue but still forces people to 4 man if the owner bails.

Forgot to explain this, but isnt a person auto kicked if offline for a certain time? In that case the instance will not be lost since it is auto kick.

Then they can find a new 5th player

He means if the owner goes AFK, I think.

Since there was a red post asking for feedback I’ve been reading it since yesterday and trying to get involved. This is pretty eye opening to see how childish so many people in the speedclear community are. In the past I defended the speedclear community from people who mocked them but I understand now for sure.

Kind of glad I decided to get away from this part of the community.

Adults bickering like this on a forum should be ashamed.

Honestly I kind of hope nothing gets done for dungeons at this point. The people in here certaintly don’t deserve the devs’ time and I like other parts of the game too.
