Wupwup! I agree soloing is fun c: So far I’ve only managed to solo AC story as well, but as an elementalist, and to be honest I had the very same problem – Vassar and Ralena … not to mention my failure to realize that I’m not on my guardian and rushing yolo-style into the mobs isn’t healthy.

Tried TA story as well, but the very first spider champion totally wrecked me. Let us know how it goes for you!

I was once in a pug party whose tactic for the Elemental in the Snowblind fractal was to rush in the middle, burst it down 25%, wipe to all the spawned Ice Elementals, respawn and go back, burst 25% again, wipe, respawn etc. Some people are just insane.

I assume the team for which it bugs may restart.

Any update on this? Anyone still trying?

My thoughts:

For the tournament, we should use poules like Iris suggested, where each team faces off against a different team and gets points for victory/loss/draw (permadeath, whoever has most people alive wins, if equal amount of players alive fastest time wins, fullwipe = disqualified). Paths that are run should be chosen randomly and there should be 1 or 2 restrictions posed by the organisation (we have to find some neutral people for this ) after which the teams get 10 minutes to prepare themselves (set up classes, traits, gear etc.) before the run starts.

On streaming, it would be handy if we could get some no aggro + invincibility consumable from Anet just for this tournament but otherwise there might be 2 people who can stream and are neutral in the competition who join a team each and will try their best to play with the team they are streaming for. Having someone run into each boss and die to observe is really out of the question since it would heavily influence time needed to complete the dungeon. Having a “tanky” streamer would also heavily influence the outcome of the fight since they might draw aggro away from the 4 competing players and they can just max dps the boss without danger.

They would have to set a different timer for each path and make sure it is doable, but not easy. 15 minutes for AC p1 would be way too much since the world record atm is 4:xx and a casual run would take no longer than 8-10 mins, depending on spider queen rng I guess. So something like 6 min for that path for gold reward, 8 min for silver and 10+ for bronze would be a good standard. Rewards should be balanced ofcourse, maybe 1g for bronze, 2g for silver and 3g for gold.

Having the reward daily and forcing a reset if you mess up would be great, it would finally add some element of risk to PvE.

Also just want to add that people on LFG do not do speedclears, they just put it in their LFG to sound good or something, they are pugs after all and will never get the times a true speedclear would get.

That’s true there is a big difference between speedclears and rush. Nevertheless I’m not sure if the rewards should be much more than simple completion because some people may still want to find groups for the actual “rush”. Or as in your example do you think eveyone should earn the bronze reward for speed or kill ? In that case very few people would try the killing event unless the reward is totally different (like previously suggested people wanting token would activate killing reward to gain more token even for rush) ?

I guess you could add an extra reward on top of the bronze/silver/gold reward for each optional objective completed, but that wouldn’t totally fix the problem. They should give silver mobs some loot that would make them worth it to kill (like dropping 50c-1silver each would make a big difference) and they should give bosses like Kholer, Cave Troll and Ooze King unique drops with a very low drop chance in addition to standard boss loot, to make them more appealing to kill. Even if you don’t get the super rare drop you still get rewarded as you would for any other boss but you have the small chance of getting something super valuable.

Could you elaborate? When do they go invulnerable? Is it really invulnerable or “evade”?

You guys have high hopes, I don’t think Anet would ever participate in something like this, let alone make new content just for it.

Look at my past broadcasts, in the past 2 or 3 days we did 5 mesmer AC p2,3 / CoE p3 / Arah p1,2

We also did 4 Minion Master + Banner regen warrior AC p2 and SE p3 (in which we cleared EVERYTHING).

Also tried to kill Ghost Eater without traps but we couldn’t interrupt his heal every time.

2 days ago alphard kept resetting every time she ported to the middle. Every. Time. We had to completely reset the fight for it to be fixed.
