I would seriously buy this mini! We already got the mini ho-ho-tron, gathering tools, and backpack. Lord faren and rytlock have at least two mini incarnations why not a mini hero-tron? Here’s an idea I had for the mini

The Hero-tron has a come a long way. However is the golem still considered a member of the Consortium? His blackmail makes it so but what if someone has the excuse that he is a “free citizen of Lion’s arch” and a member of the Captain’s Council/lionguard? This got me thinking when I saw this bit of dialogue. Thoughts anyone?

what Peter fries said! and it has been said that A-net will see how they can make Living World season 1 playable, season 2 can be played whenever whatever however you like it but you have to buy the bundle OR talk to people and they will be happy to invite you to a party and play the unlocked episodes. I dont think that will work, I tried my debit card, my dad’s debit card and credit card, his paypal account (obviously I was going to pay him in cash) and I still got the same message, guess I wont be able to get Ultimate edition after all

have tried and tried to get HoT ultimate edition, but every time I get this^ I already talked with my bank and they said “there is nothing wrong with your debit card, the company probably locked you or something” to be completely honest I am also unable to purchase gems from the BLTC I am forced to buy gem cards. I already sent an email to A-net with the required information to hopefully solve my issue, but I keep trying and trying and I’m growing more frustrated by the minute I know A-net can help me but I was wondering if you guys could give some advice?

I’m pretty sure the max numbers for a guild hall would be same as for a guild: 500. My GUESS is that if you switch guilds you are automatically kicked from original hall and have to port to other halls.

yep you read that right! You are getting $99.99! After seeing some videos from the community and comparisons of other MMOs expansion, I’ve decided that 50 bucks MIGHT be a bit expensive (for an expansion) but good price I guess since we get no sub fees. Besides you have broken standard rules in MMOs and “getting the core game from buying an expansion” is another unique thing………a bit of a slap in the face for people who might buy core game a few weeks ago, but nonetheless unique. I support you!

However a POSSIBLE solution just crossed my mind: HoT comes with the core game, so does that mean that we can make a new account for free? like lets say my e-mail for the game is cvnm@cbmn.com, and when I buy HoT can I use another e-mail? thus getting a free account?

in the upcoming things there is the job-r-tron set. Im 1% sure this is a completely new set and 99% sure the mine-r-tron, log-r-tron, and reap-r-tron are going to have a discount. This is great for new players and sucks to be me XD (used 3000 gems) and gives a bit of hope the golem will return. However, is it possible to get a SILENT mini job-o/hobo/hero-tron next time?

Now that I think about it, when the pact fleet was destroyed we have speculated whatever happened to the remaining members of DE. However, Mr. Sparkles and Garm where not in the ship and I do wonder if they’ll do anything. I guess I understand why Mr. Sparkles didn’t join, but Garm is at least in terms of gameplay mechanics: essential. I think Garm’s absence solidifies this topic: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/lwd/I-think-Eir-may-die/first#post5073751. Then a super far-fetched guess of mine: other ships are looking for survivors and in one of those ships is Garm and Mr. Sparkles. Or maybe they will be forgotten by the writers who knows?

will we at least get a small “living story/story instance” thing? like all the members of the Captain’s Council greeting Tyrians to the new rebuilt city, and Hero-tron revealing what the Council has in store for the future (MAYBE the Council knows Sylvari are corruptible and want to deal with them) to Evon Gnashblade.

Bog otter mentions that he THINKS LA will become a sylvari-prison-camp. Personally I think this idea could work (see FULL video). What do you all think? Then again we could also be getting nothing but im pretty sure all these characters will return for HoT and I’m satisfied with that.

We are FINALLY gonna see LA in its glory! and while it would’ve been nice to participate in “in-game events” to rebuild the city players actually participated in a fun way “(*”We asked for your help in deciding the names of significant landmarks, and players from around the world answered the call"*) now that’s what I call teamwork! I am excited to see the specialization notes, the seed pod mail delivery item looks neat, though i’m saving my gems-mail-carrier when they release Mail-r-tron. I was not really interested in the Dwayna outfit but all my guildies were so 1/477 is not a bad sale. Now if you’ll excuse I need to spend my gems on black lion chests, those weapons need me.

I had an epiphany:

I went through the 5 stages of grief with this tonic XD

Denial: When I first heard of the tonic I refused to believe it was the particular golem model.

Anger: I will not deny it, I got angry that I “didn’t participate and get the tonic”

Bargaining: this topic XD, I wanted to hear opinions if it was trade able or if we were going to have a “second chance” to get it.

Depression: I talked to my guild saying that I was “disappointed” I didn’t get the tonic, they all tried to cheer me up, thank you guildies!

Acceptance: hours later after finding this: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Endless_Interface_Crafter_Golem_Tonic it hit me. This challenge app was made by people who are into Programming my chances at getting the tonic were 0-0.1. I cant always get what I want and since this is a special reward from a Contest obviously it will be account bound. I should be happy for the ones who actually took the effort instead of whining about it.

The point I was making wasn’t that you can’t sell an Oscar, but that you can’t sell being the one honored with getting one. With Oscars, we all know who really got them, it’s extremely public knowledge. With a tonic, it’s a visual marker “this person wrote a great app!” but unless they are account bound, that recognition will be aimed at people who merely dropped some gold.

I’m not one to argue for exclusivity of game items as a rule. However, I do think that a prize given for merit (as opposed RNG luck) should remain in the hands of those who earned it.

Whether a really cool tonic like this one should be made as a limited prize only is another issue. Perhaps they can make variant looks otherwise obtainable, but only the app developers can ever have this particular golem. But as long as it’s the prize for creative effort, it needs to remain exclusive to the creative people that won it.

There are no pros or cons, since they don’t compete with each other…

Depending on your chosen traits/gear/utilities, you pick rifle for power/hybrid builds, P/P for offensive condi-builds and p/s for defensive condi/hybrid builds.

F.e. if you have toolkit in your bar, you have less reasons to run p/s since you already have a block, and therefore are not forced into shield anymore. Ofc it would still be a defensive advantage to still run p/s but as long as you have Toolkit, p/p will work fine as well.

Rifle is there to bring cc and dps for power-oriented builds, along with the option to effectively harass beyond 600~900 range (where nades and bombs are effectively useless)

So yea, there is no pros or cons to run any of them, unless your original question was how effective various build-types towards each other are…

Answer: They are all effectively useless for you, unless you find a (couple of) spec(s) that are really fun for you to play, so you have the motivation to master them.

So the counter-question is: what builds have you tried so far, and what was the most fun for you?

I really think they are all great…..but lets say that Im a ranger and I have all signets skills, if I switch to druid would I still be able to use signets? or will my ranger abilities be “unavailable” and only have druid ones? and vice versa will I be able to have druid abilities while being a ranger? Im a bit confused when people say “this spec does not need X because we already have X”

just one tiny question: this all sounds cool, but lets say they are signets. How would we know they are in a passive state? would the drones be following us constantly? I know you are not a dev just would like to hear your opinion XD

I would like thank Arena Net on their awesome bi-weekly updates. Thank you for the living world season 1 that sadly I only watched through youtube videos but still enjoyed them. I find all of those characters fascinating in a unique way: I like Ellen Kiel and Evon Gnashblade because their story is directly influenced by us (plus I like Evon’s wares) and Ellen Kiel’s short story is heartwarming. Personally I like Rox because Charr is my 2nd favorite race and she is my 1st/2nd favorite profession (cant decide which one is best engie or ranger). While I liked Canach’s story on Southsun, his “redemption” role in the expansion seems interesting (I do hope we dont have to kill him). I dont really care about homosexual relationships, and while I wish I could’ve seen more of Kasmeer and Marjory you made a good point in subtly giving us hints of their growing relationship. Taimi to me is an inspiration, she never gives up and refuses pity something that I’ve seen in real life (I tried to help a lady on a wheel chair and she told she was fine and thanks for the offer). Every time I see Job-o/hobo/ho-ho/heal-o/hero-tron I smile, he is such an enjoyable character and I’m happy he was developed by the staff and us the players.
As for Season 2 I think it was good, however, the last 4 episodes take the cake, we got to see Glint’s lair which was amazing (and this is coming from a gw2-only player), we got to see the birth of the Secondborn and see Sylvari-Asura interaction, heck we got to play as Caithe! We got the awesome Silverwastes area that got better and better with each patch. It was a great “set up” for what is to come, will DE 2.0 gain specializations? Is DE alive? Will Braham find Eir alive? Can Canach be trusted? Will Taimi listen to us and dont cause complications? What is Evon planning for the Captain’s Council? Will we defeat Mordremoth in a similar fashion to Scarlet? (a bunch of players and story characters against the Dragon).
And now for the confession. I dont want to go into much detail but I have asperger’s syndrome, it basically means that im fixated on specific things and can be competent at that one thing, unfortunately I may like film for one month and change to game programming for 3 months and then go to teaching spanish, I “can’t sit still” in a way. And for me (at least me in particular I think) I get fixated on “sub-pages” for example I like cartoons but Im only interested on adventure time and gravity falls. Right now in terms of video games Guild Wars 2 is the only thing I play (seriously Dragon Age Inquisition has been sitting on my shelf for like 4 months and I bought it because I was obsessed with the Dragon Age series XD). I’ve been trying to at least get fixated on a major thing, and that is animation which means drawing, heck GW2 inspired to make a fun little comic for my final exam in a class.
As for GW2 I enjoy every aspect of it….but I am also fixated on one particular thing: minis. Every time there’s a new mini I buy it, specifically critters. I avoid tiny humans it just irks me a bit seeing a mini queen jennah trying to catch up with me.
Here’s where the small wish comes from and is something that I wanted to get out of my chest for some time now. Every time I see the gemstore update it disappoints me a little bit that we dont get a mini job-o/hobo/heal-o/hero-tron. I am extremely grateful for the backpack, gathering tools, and mini ho-ho-tron. But……Idk this is a super nitpick but I feel a little bit empty. It’s hard to describe. You might think that I prob being super selfish but I really would buy a mini h-tron/golem assistant for 500 gems. I just feel..weird even as im writing this part right now, dont get me wrong the absence of the mini does not affect my enjoyment…….but every gemstore update I cross my fingers. In a way I guess A-net is also teaching a valuable lesson: either be patient or you have to learn you cant always get your way.

Anyways thank you so much for this amazing game. It truly is a unique MMO experience.

I have bought around $150 in the 3 years. I usually savage and deposit materials, use laurels to get materials and lastly sell them all. Its an easy way to get 1200 gems

hmmmmmmmmm dont believe this post cuz I might be incorrect buuuuuut I think sylvan hounds are either not so easy to corrupt or super easy due to the fact that, unlike sylvari, the hounds are not-self-aware in a way (animals are said to be non-aware and humans are “aware animals” because we “worry how we look, what we wear, how will this affect that, if I do this what will happen tomorrow? etc.”)

There is an NPC at Lion’s Shadow Inn in the Postern Ward who talks about hoping his client is please with his surveying. He also says that he is not liberty to divulge details but it will be the site of an exciting new guild related organization. I am thinking this is where the Guild Halls will be…..

I ran around Lion’s Arch and could not find Hero Tron I am curious as to what he may be up to. He is not in the Crow’s Nest Tavern with the rest of the Captain’s Council….

Hero-Tron was supposed to help “get people back to work” and judging from the LA changes he did a good job. Sadly he is nowhere to be found can we at least get a non-interactive NPC of him? prob around the Captain’s Council area? idk its just a super nitpick on my part I guess…
