Balance is in bad shape , some classes are “better” as others, ofcource in TeamPlay you can balance it out “a bit”. But even then taking Necro and Warrior is a risk for the team.
-they can’t support team or they are not really good at it
-they both are easily killed
-they are bad at point holding
-etc.

Disagree, Gw2 classes are not design for this kind of gameplay and some of them are really bad at 1vs1. Still if they fix classes it could be an not so bad idea.

So, I’ve done almost everything you can do in the game with a single character, in regards to experiencing something new. In other words, I’m only missing like 4 dungeon paths or so, 100% world, wvw, pvp, all but 4 jumping puzzles, etc.,

I’m closing on all of that now, and with living story having such small amounts of extra content, boredom is starting to set in.

I’m not complaining about the game: this happens with any game. I’m a bit surprised though, as it feels like a huge world, I expected this to take a bit longer.

I’ve been reading the gw2 expansion thread with some amusement, but also vague hope. an expansion is what I need right now. I know, the expansion will likely be some time away, but still….

I crave new experiences. Getting two hours a month from living story just isn’t adequate. Playing new characters of different races helps…, until their stories start to merge down the road.

And grinding for my legendary doesn’t help, hehe

So… I may be taking a break after this next update. But not a hate-filled one. I love gw2, just want more new experiences.

Unless anyone has any suggestions? Something I may have missed?

I really hate Khylo, but thats probably only because I play necro, who has no vigor, only two dodge rolls, and no mobility to speak of to get out of the way.

Necro aswell:
You can easily jump inside clocktower from both poits
You can easily kill ppl in clocktower(after treb has destroyd wall in there).
You can set marks on ppl in the window from below.
You can set mark to middle from the tunnel (below clocktower point)

It is very fun map ,even as necro

Adding more DPS when we need more sustain.

Also 3% Damage Per Boon isn’t worth it. 12% base damage trait without boons as a MINOR trait adds more damage.

We don’t NEED damage, we need to LIVE.

It should of been “Reduces damage by 3% per boon of the target.”

That right! Same thing need necro as well:D

1. Marks: not sure if they should be invisible or just unevadable?!
if you comparing Necro Mark with Ranger traps, then you should understand that we ain’t putting them as Utility Skills and we can spam them more often
2.Fear: Ye it would be nice to have smth like that, but on other hand it can be OP in Terrormancer build
3.More bleed stacks on skill: dont think this is nessesery
4.Better Siphon would be nice
5.We need easier access to all boons
6.Mobility : agree

Add: would be nice to have better posobility for combos (finishing)

Don’t worry about P.M. in game, as it is late night in EU. I know some not bad guilds PvX,but they are speacking english – if it is ok with you, I will tell them to invite you .

What is wrong with that? They are meant to be the highest damage dealers. The best teams that work well together will use a necromancer well and it will obliterate the other team. This game is about balance. If they are going to be the highest damage dealers than they also have to have a drawback. What is that drawback? Lack of evades, stun blocks, and the like. This makes them balanced. If they had the blocking abilities other classes had, people would be crying OP necro OP necro.

Except they aren’t the Highest damage dealers, they are the highest amount of individual conditions. They are not a condition damage class or a high damage class. They are a condition management class. Chill/Blind/Cripple/bleed/Posion and reapplying them all with easy, but they are far from the highest damage class. The reason they are scary when left alone, is because you could end up with an entire team chilled, crippled, poisoned, burning and bleeding.

The drawback is greater than the benefits currently. They can’t escape a fight, they can’t disengage, and with extend cast times and easily spotted animations they are easy to control.

This makes them the highest damage dealers. They can deal with team the most damage to everyone on the opposing team. They can kill an entire team with the right circumstances. They have fantastic aoe. I believe every animation is easy to spot once you are used to the classes like guardian hammer or elementalist churning earth. Necros are always targeted in games because they are scary. If you can use one well, they destroy in team fights. Some of the highest ranked teams use necros such as team paradigm. I will admit that perhaps they could use shorter cooldowns for their only two stun blockers. Spectral walk and spectral armor deserve cooldowns decreased by say 15 seconds, but really honestly necro’s purpose is in tact.

Well there a lot of diffrent reasons ,why necro is focus’d first:
1.Signet of Undeath
2.No escape mechanics=easy to burst down
3.Necro AoE .

Yes ,necro can be very painful for enemy team, but it is very easy to avoid.

This, and in the current state of tpvp, stability, reflection and vigor are huge. This means that there are only two classes below all the others.

Actually, I completely disagree. I played with a team that had two necromancers, a mesmer, a thief, and elementalist. We completely destroyed the other team every single game. The necro could sit on a point and fight 1 person and kill them easy. In addition, he could also fight 3 people for awhile before getting killed. Necros are in a great place and this was before the update.

It’s like random buff, you never know will your minion do what he has to do or is he going to sit there like a mini pet. With all my love to Necro class, it is still too weak and only few players are managing to play it effectivly [still not so effective ,as you take other class]. Yes they can easily take bunkers down, but thats pretty much it.

So we played noobs for 10 games in a row? I agree they need work, but they really aren’t as bad as people think they are.

Well, they ain’t so bad – but they aint good aswell. They standing near Warrior (well warrior is bit worst)
As Bunker Guardian is better, as it can provide good support for team – Necro can’t.
Condition build are great , but Engi is better
Power Necro…..don’t want to compare that at all.

So when you gathering Team, will you take hafl a player?! NO.

Every Minion [exept wurm] has AI problems :
-bones : mostly even when Golem is starting to attck, they are chilling and aint moving
-fiend : need range decreasing , because immobility skill isn’t mostly working (even when necro is in melee range)
-Shadow: takes him to long time to respond (skill or attacking)
-Golem: well, personaly I never had problems with him in pvp.
-All: if you fight mesmer + clones/Engi + turrent or smth that have pet, Minions often will attack not your target ,but instead pet/turrents/clones

Obviously I don’t want anyone to get suspended. But maybe we should try and draw their attention to this rather big problem. I can’t see any reason why anyone would want to play a minion master at this point, since the minions don’t attack when you need them to. What we have now, is a nice skillbar full of mini pets.

Necro still is pretty bad

Hi,
I miss Interface Customization and i think this would be a nice thing to do for us.
First of all I have to say that I am sitting over 5m from my TV, on which I am playing and with normal Interface size i can’t read chat , but if I change it to larger size, skillbar is too big and it is more difficult to play [spezialy with necro+marks].

I think making this kind of customization won’t take lot of time [devs] and will be very user friendly.

You are as a thief and you are complaining…thats smth new , there are many player who is playng a lot worst classes ,but still winning thru teamwork.

Yes I expected a lot from GW2 , but they making progress (very slowly).
I quit the game for 3 months after they ruin’d (and disabled) paid tpvp, but i got back.

Just take a break from the game and come back when it is copmlitly done)

SPvP is not so bad. Mostly there are still balancing problems [map balancing and class balancing] , but mostly it is fine as it is team based.
If they add PvE gear in it it will make it all worst and even more ppl will leave the game.

Even if you gonna play with your friends on custom it will have less point as with pvp gear [it is more balaced]. I Don’t undersant ,why ppl alway what to mix pvp and pve ???

I really don’t undesrtand logic behind it:
If DS#4 [Life Transfer] skill is ignoring all Colliosions objocte (can attack thru walls etc.), why can’t rest of the skill do that ?
I think letting Necro in DS use they skill thru objects will improve mobility and effecitves.

how offten you meet pre maid team ?
As Thief you have not so much trouble with Mesmer as if you play Necro or Engi.
So if you can’t burst your dmg pretty fast when you target Mesmer and kill him, some classes can’t.

In compare mesmer clones are much powerful as Minions of Turrent.

Nobody is saing that necro is very much underpower’d.
With Condition Necro is pretty much easy to survive with right posistioning,
but its a lot harder to be max effective with if.
Still Necro is Alpha state, it has many unfinished thing. For example DS#2 is hase some issues with A* PathFinding.

Guys, with all my love to this class, it has issues → spezialy with mobility.
And as our pvp is based on mobility it is hard to be max effective.
I won’t say anythink about pve and wvw, as it is pretty bording for me.

I read a lot of this forum and it looks like NA ppl are taking rating seriously….
Can’t speak for NA, but problem in EU is that there is no motivation to play tpvp .
Most of good team left the game ,because they disabled paid tpvp.

Forcing ppl to play with only 1 team is really bad. There is no point in Multi Guild if you MUST play only with one! When I am playng I have some teams, because it is hard to get team at once in game [in EU time diffrence is alot bigger then in NA].
And this will deffenetly won’t solve plroblem of noob teams !

Not that I’ve noticed. I love having access to stealth in wvw can often get me out of a sticky situation. But as everyone has said it depends on aesthetics mostly, perhaps have a quick look at racial skills but none are particularly game breaking nor will you have any advantage over anyone else as another race.

i have tested norn many time in pvp and everytime got evade delay. I guess it is because of longer animation of it or smth like that.

As much as I liked HoH, I have to say that it just wouldn’t work in this game.
They can keep the game mode as it is but they do have to work on their rating system, matchmaking, and actually adding tournaments in game.

I would say, they have to work hard on balancing + paid tpvp , before they make better systems. Atm the PvP make no sens at all.
