Invulnerability is pretty cheesy. Nothing lamer than going for the kill and they pop Invuln, and you know that’s over.

I want CA and balance/bug patches more than spectator, leaderboards and pizza.
The skills are the game, they sold the idea that limiting weapon skills, trait restrictions and the limited skill pool made it easier to balance the game than gw1. So they should show they are capitalizing on that.
Trip wire and Needle trap no longer fail if there edges are touched instead of the center.

They’re not making a lot of costumes in general even for their gem store.
Presumably because the different races make development time on that front longer.
So even if they wanted us to buy more skins, it takes them more time to make em then it did say GW1.

The funny thing is is that ANet’s “slow and steady” approach to balance is the exact opposite of what they need right now. Slow and steady balancing works for mature games with healthy populations. Games where there are ongoing tournaments and whatnot where drastically changing the metagame would have significant ramifications.
What ANet needs to do is actually focus on significantly buffing underpowered weapons/skills/traits. In fact, many balance teams overbuff underpowered aspects of their game to draw interest in them so people use and test them out so they can get a large set of data to then gauge if a following nerf is necessary.
The PvP balance in this game is in its infant stages, and wild swings of the metagame should not only be expected, it should be welcomed. At the end of the day, the teams playing 12hrs a day are the minority, and balance at the top should be of very little concern. ANet should be focused on the casual playerbase and making the core game fun, and that is done by having multiple effective builds and roles for each class.
I fully agree and tbh my favourite part of gw1 for some time was the balance patches and seeing everything change.

Rewards aren’t in proportion brah.
1 tourney round giving you 200 thingamajiggers.
3 round tourney giving you 400 thingamajiggers.
If you do 3, 1 round tourneys you get 600 thingamajiggers
If you do 1, 3 round tourney you get…400 thingamajiggers.
So for the same amount of battles you get less for being part of a bigger event.
Probably an accident, whatever, not going to lose my marbles over this, but hey know that it seems you need to adjust this.
Also, Tripwire and Needle trap are broken. Feel free to fix them when you adjust this, maybe put in a hotfix tommorow or next week.

There are some updates missing from the notes. We are tracking down those, but some changes to the D/D and S/D ele build are in this patch despite not being in the notes.
Are there changes to other professions that are also missing?

the food nerf affect thief less then other classes
even if i used omnombery ghosts all the time, our aoe was very limtied compared to other classesIt broke two viable builds.

Never said it was terrible, but they’re more suspectible to conditions than they were before this patch. This means conditions will be more relevant a threat. Is this not logical?
In exchange you now take less damage straight up from all sources save conditions with Frost Aura, and because of Aura-share can send that to friends to.
In other words, you’re now less damaged by burst if you play D/x eles in exchange for being about to chase/dash everything. Or in other words, D/X eles as a whole are less glass. Meaning only scepter eles are really left out.

As an indirect buff, flame and frost auras have also been improved (important if you group up with eles while using D/D + SB)

I’m entirely certain that this did not buff D/D bunker eles in any way. Definitely not in any way. (way to find the dark cloud in the silver lining. :P)
Frost aura now reduces damage 10% but chills less.
In other words they now take less damage, but heal less.

D/x always been viable.
S/D fully functional in WvW (my set) and PvE.
And I’m a frequent user of S/x in spvp, extrapolated to WvW where my stats are superior and food is relevant regardless, I see no reason to claim it’s viability was removed.

It’s been relatively clear, spvp isn’t getting a proportional level of support.
No one to blame but PvE.
WvW hasn’t even gotten massive stuff either.

Food items that give special bonuses upon a critical hit now have an internal cooldown before they can produce the special bonus again.
S/P is no longer viable in WvWvW, Going to go backstab now like all the other thieves since I can’t survive without stealth.

Sounds like they just made it bound to the same rules as shadowstepping, so you can’t go where you shouldn’t be able to.
General
Shadow Shot: This ability now allows the player to move while executing dagger strike portion of the ability. Finally. With this, it’s finally fluid.
Withdraw: This ability now scales 20% better with healing power. Base healing per level has increased by 10%. Sweet.
Ankle Shots: This trait now applies a full 3-second cripple. I’m not complaining
Everything else? Eh whatever. No problem with em regardless.

They pretty much removed the whole paid tournament system, something that took ages for them to implement. So we are back to normal tournaments. Luckily we also have single round fights now and ratings to make it actually work. If you think about it, that’s not really a big step since launch.

Some asura animations are ez, some are not they just need to fix it.

daze on steal is 30 trickery.

Yeah if you play daggers.
I reach 20 into trickery on my S/P set pretty much always now for Bountiful so the decision is just put the extra 10 in DA or 10 in trickery, and the difference is pretty negligible since the daze lets you get in an extra hit the majority of the time or gives you a second of breathing room or removes a skill( assuming you don’t miss) for 5s vs the what maybe measily extra damage 10 more in DA will get me. Traits at that level suck too.

drazzar: all rewards are based on rank, not on skill or anything… so rank really means something
ofc its cosmetic, but its the only reward/progress in spvp
they really need to do something with it… some skill based rewards, not farm based…
Not aware of any games that work like this.
Only difference is how valuable the win bonus is and that in 8v8, that is the soul purpose, farming glory because playing conquest is a 5v5 affair.
the rewards are to differentiate those that spend more time in the game.
how else would you reward those that put the most time in?
