Nah, that would kill the strategy of bleeding enemies out, which would reduce the potential strategies that players have at their disposal.
As much as it sucks to get bled out, I like that this is an option to players.

yeah, that’s what i’d rather not have. you won the battle. guy will respawn after a while and far away, that should be enough. there is only so much one should milk from one victory. further bleeding, poison and coming back once in a while is imo abuse, it is for that tactics exactly i’d rather downed player have an exit.
stimes you know its not going to happen and there you are, stuck in forever limbo. why not add a button, where you can kill youself (may be also giving mates small buff).
some dont enjoy downed state second chance – here is their exit.

@ellesee dunno at high skill, but in % soloQ it consistently ends up on the top of the roster.
@The Gates Assassin I could ditch rifle turret, but what for? best choice would be grenades with incendiary power, which is an option, but i’d have to give up AR.

i usually hang out in the middle. from balcony one has a complete view of the map. if far is unattended – i go decap. i close needs help – i go close. if middle is getting crowded – go on our treb. if nothing to do – i go for enemy treb.

i’ve been playing this engi x3 turret couple of days for now in hotjoins and soloQ. dunno, is it npc bug or else, but it feels strong.

Each profession suffers terrible confusion as to what their purpose or design is. Is there any reason to take an engineer over a necro?, a Ranger or a thief?. It doesn’t help with statements such as, “Ele is the king of versatility..” are made, then a few months later the exact same call is made about engineer. In order to do a good job, first of all a craftsman must have good, well maintained tools. You wouldn’t use a chisel when trying to saw, you wouldn’t use a plane when try to lathe..get where I am going with this? The notion of all profession can play how they like is understandable in a game where PvE is mostly done solo, but in PvP professions need purpose. No craftsman will ever become good if the only tool they use is a swiss army knife.
i dont think you r looking for char identity in the right place. profession is a very general concept in gw2. most profs can be molded to be ranged or melee, glass or bunker, etc… it is build were identity is formed in gw2 and there are builds with specific purposes.
would you rather prefer cookie cutter situation of wow? where your class choice, or rather absense of choice can be copy/pasted from mr robot? i dont think so.

i’m not pro, but the better i’m getting at pvp (r36 currently), the more i understand this is not a game i want to fight. necro AI, mesmer AI, engi turrets. i play some of these myself and i win without doing much. i play against some of these and its no fun at all.
all in all – unless AI is limited a very wonderful combat mechanics are ruined. not every pve build is pvp material.
Phantasm mesmer was anything but OP, its the one class you can dodge every big attack, as the mesmer must telegraph every summon, and you have a good idea when the next attack is coming. You’ll see 2 telegraphs for the 1st 2 and only 2 dps phantasms they have, then ~5-8 seconds after that those phantasms will attack again unless they are shattered or killed… which is plenty of time to regen endurance… unless you wasting dodge on auto attacks or something.
really? how is x2 attacks / 5 sec plenty of time? do you think dodge comes every 3 sec in this game? and then one has to watch for blurred frenzy on low cd?

those mesmers with condi from debilitating dissip, condi from crippling dissip, boons from PU, vigor from crit infusion and clones from deceptive evasion. stealth on torch #4 and decoy.
how does one kitten 1v1 them?

Doesn’t look good for all mesmer diehards who “tested in game and nothing was wrong” and “if you cant dodge my duelist …”.
Turrets in my opinion are best used for soft cc and their blast finishers. Very good in pvp. And no, I think everyone agrees engies rock all aspects of this game.
i am curios about this. i’ve tried them both, for healing and might combos. but i feel their straightforward use (rocket, rifle, flame damage) is better.
what will you get out of blasts? 12 might (with rifle#5). great, but then what will you use it on? rifle aa is lackluster. #3 and #5 – not very reliable. and worse off, those turrets are in a long haul CD. i dont think one can get its money worth out of blasts. in a very timed play, may be flame turret with short cd can be blasted, but rocket turret for 6o sec cd blast is useless.
on the other hand, working traited turret triple is 1.2k reliable dps. you can hide behind the wall and once in a while run rifle rotation on the target. imo this is superior to blasts.
playing x2 axe + GS war.
i am new to war, but feel very powerful, just run in and chop away.
with gs#5, #3 and eviscerate don’t feel like need ranged weapon.
other glass canons would just get oneshotted by npcs.

imo hardcore pvper usually doesnt care for rewards, may be leaderboards, but not so much for chests.
if s’one playes pve too, then these rewards are good. for instance i uplvled with tomes a lot, and was always short of gear for going out in world.
@Zylonite.5913 you are expecting from tPVP something its not supposed to be. what you are doing is solo.
@viking yes, i’ve been running 3 x turret (rocket, rifle, flame) mostly power build (with about 400 condi dmg hybrd) with most of turret traits for a week now. its good in capping mode, but otherwise its very clanky. even if you have to move to another node, takes forever to gather all turrets and even then rocket turret will be well off the cd when you’ll be entering another combat.
but while on the node it gives 1.2k reliable dps from turrets alone. roughly 1/3 of it is condi, so power-condi mixture dmg melts pretty much everyone. and then one can deliver usual rifle rotation on the top of it.
overall, if rocket cd was lower (even through trait) i wont complain.
Im sorry, but a thief is not defined as tissue paper. Want to know what true tissue paper is? An ele with no stealth to disappear into. Thieves have low hp yes, but by no mean they are the easiest to kill class in the game, in fact, I would dare to say a well played thief is nearly virtually impossible to kill with the access to blinds/teleports/stealth.

balance fees ok for the moment. i’d watch phantasm dmg on low toughness targets, but too early to tell.
they dont move, dont follow the target. their damage is probably lower than that of phantasm’s. and they have way longer CD’s.

they should be more available to interrupts. there was a thread a while ago, how interrupting a skills doesn’t cost init.
An initial initial cost would be nice, but if the interrupt hits initiative should be returned.

at least not fully. there should be some equivalent of 5sec cd. for instance you should spend 1init, at least. otherwise its interrupt near-immunity, just free recast.
just add “flag 2 maps” in sQueue options, everyone will be happy.

It was like ONE cap in a map of 3..and the only uw thing in pvp…it was utterly pointless to remove it.. I see NO reason for it whatsoever..especially as underwater combat still remains in w v w
one cap (little part of overall task) doubles the resources devs have to put in balancing and skills players have to learn. most ppl were just blind spamming skills down there. i always hated if i had to dive in.

conquest mode is interesting in terms of strategy. there is a narrow division between 3cap/0cap. should you assault far, defend home, these are questions with many variables (team comp, map etc…).
i’d summarize: its easy were i like it and hard were it neednt be.
