The main problem warrior has is that other class bring much more versatility while still dealing tremendous damage. Warriors are pretty much forced into using certain traits if they want to run a good build in PvP or WvW.
A good start would be halfing the rate adrenaline declines and giving warriors some default buff when adrenaline is used rather then making it dependent on traits.
Playing stronghold as a warrior has made me realize how kitten our class is. It’s not that we can’t deal damage we are fine there. It’s the fact that every other class just bring so much more to the table. Each class seems to have much more survivability without requiring must have traits.
It’s an absolute joke.
They need to change the adrenaline decay for starters.

No one knows how to do this?
Forget about the ridiculous cost of leveling up the profession, or the possibility of the one or two people your guild chooses to level up deciding to go on vacation, or even stop playing the game.
There’s zero information available online about how to build any of the upgrades/buff schematics, so there’s not much evidence to go off of but from talking to a number of guilds and players I think there’s a huge flaw with the way schematics are used and crafted…
From my understanding, when you unlock an upgrade, such as the “Supply Sabotage” ability you get one free charge to use the ability. Now, I’m not certain, but from talking with others it seems your guild scribe has to learn to craft the schematic for the “Supply Sabotage” and once he makes the schematic it’s placed in the guild upgrade queue device.
So, let me be clear here. If you use “Supply Sabotage” on a camp, it’s gone forever, you can’t claim another camp and use it again, unless your scribe has made more schematics and run them each through the build queue. It’s not like activating +5 and being able to claim anything you want for the next few hours, it’s one use only.
Once an upgrade is unlocked it should work like the old system, let us queue it and build as many as we want, but don’t make it require a scribe to add another level of needless complexity.
The guild hall is little confusing in terms of upgrade unlocks, such as buffs and tactics. We’ve been trying to figure out how to unlock, or “build” these items for about three days and we still don’t understand the mechanics behind it.
I fear the correct answer lies in the scribing profession, in which case this is a huge flaw. Requiring that the person you’re guild has designated to be on to craft a schematic is a huge pain. What if the player decides to take a break from the game?
So, has anyone figured out how to make these and use them?
It’s the only hope we have received.
The only place you can get theses is through the Kryta reward track for PvP…..
So in about an hour and 20 mins of PvP I have 3 bags.
(edited by grifflyman.8102)
How are we supposed to get these for guild upgrades if they don’t even drop in the game anymore? The only place you could farm these bags was on the old WvW map from the centaurs.
Anyone have any idea if there is a new spot to get theses? The price is pretty inflated…
Is it true?! Over at reddit I noticed a developer respond to a question about Howler missing it’s nighttime effect, which has been missing for almost a year!
https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3r826b/howler_night_effect/
This is GREAT news!
Just upgraded my graphics cards from a GTX 680 to a 980 Ti, I was not expecting a big boost from GW2 as I bought the card for other games, but I noticed the game really struggles when I’m playing in window mode, and I average around 15 FPS.
When I’m in full screen mode I’m getting around 60 FPS, but not being able to mouse over to my other monitor really defeats the purpose of having two monitors to begin with….
Any help?
To be honest, This is a hard question. I know you can sell a precursor (I actually screwed up and did so!!) but I honestly do not know if you can sell a precursor you craft through the “Mastery Track”.
I really hope it works out for you.
I’m really bummed out, 370 gold is a lot for me, and if I end up with two precursors of the same kind it’s going to really hurt.
I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 since release, and I’ve always had my sights on getting Howler, the legendary warhorn. My characters name is Canis Lupis, and I’ve always tried to acquire anything wolf related in game.
Last night I was doing some new content with a friend when I noticed guild chat explode, saying that the new legendary crafting path for Howler required an item of some sort that turns you into a wolf. I was super excited and had recently had some luck selling some items, and had been saving up so in a confused and excited enthusiasm I said, “I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna unlock the new crafting path!” and I bought the precursor and excitedly equipped it.
Now, seconds later I found out that the new legendary crafting mastery let’s you craft the actual precursor, and that if I wanted to get this unique wolf totem item I would have to pursue the path that would eventually give me the precursor for free.
I’m so distraught, I spent 370 gold, not fully understanding how the mechanics work and now I’m stuck with a precursor I can’t sell because I equipped it.
Now, I’m confused about how I can actually sell from the new crafting paths. Can I make a precursor and sell it once? Or is it the legendary that I can only sell when I’m finished?
Someone told me to put in a support ticket, and said it was worth a shot but I highly doubt I’ll get it fixed. Can ArenaNet fix an item that you accidentally equip?
TL;DR: I messed up and bought a precursor and equipped it without knowing the new legendary crafting system let you craft precursors. I want to play through the content of crafting a precursor. Can I sell the one I craft? How’s the best way to break even if anything?

It’s been like three days since release. The majority of players are not in WvW so the maps are not at full capacity. I ran around with a small group the other day and had a lot of fun 10 vs 10 fights in the middle of the map.
God forbid that map of the “mists” that shouldn’t even be connected to the real map of Tyria because it’s actually in a separate realm of it’s own does not blend in with the splash/artwork surrounding it.
I’m sure they will fix it eventually.
You need to have a guild hall to claim things now, but Anet said that it’s possible to have a guild keep with as little kitten players, so get some friends and get one!
We’ve seen past events interrupt the flow of WvW before. A lot of players will stop playing WvW to participate in PvE events, and right now there ate two massive things going on. One of them is a time exclusive Halloween event, and the other is the expansion release which focuses a lot on PvE.
SoS also has a HUGE Oceanic population, so a lot of player are likely logging in and playing while you’re asleep.
I would estimate that WvW will be back to it’s regular numbers in a few weeks once the hype of all the new stuff settles down.
What I learned about Guild Wars 2 today: People will complain about anything they can.
The new WvW map is what people have been asking for, the game play just needs to adjust to it. 40 man zergs were the meta, and the new map will help break up the zerg mentality.
Solo roamers have plenty to do, like picking off players trying to get to the main tag, or capping various ruins around the map. There are a number of places roamers will really shine, line picking off energy cells as solo players try to turn them in.
It’s too confusing? It’s been two days and people are expecting to know the entire map? This is WvW; if you’re like any of the WvW players I know you will be playing a lot of WvW over the next two years. Mastery, tactical and navigation of a map took a long time to learn when Guild Wars 2 came out. It was not obvious where to place siege, or where certain shortcuts could be taken right away.
This new map will take some time to adjust to. Players need to change their mindset when playing WvW now, and pick fights more wisely or they’ll be cut off from the main force.
I would say both T1 through T3 are pretty stable at the moment.
We need a sloth that floats on a balloon, or just sits there when you summon it, like it literally will not follow you.
Sloth please.
I think they have their hands full already with the PC market.
So, in terms of guild management can we talk about how anoying it is to only view off line characters by their account names? It makes it extremely difficult to manage a contact or guild list when we need to memorize two names. 8
I might be wrong, but I thought they said that since rampage was a physical skill it would work on it.
Thank you so much, all my frustrations for the day have been fixed.
A recent PvP tournament denied grenades entirely.
Anyone care to explain what the deal is with the hammer guard and that trait that is bugged? dont play guard myself, but hear a lot about that “bug”, so kinda curious
Here is a video of a large group in WvW using the bug to take down gates:

See this post for a good explanation: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Guardian-Symbolic-Avenger-Trait-bugged

The current skill state (or balance) is not going to fall under a situation where we would consider it an “abuse of a bug” or “exploitation of a bug”.
This is really the same situation as when the Mesmer fall trait was in a state where the damage was significantly too high.
No we aren’t going to action players for that.
So how long can we expect 5 man guardians groups taking advantage of the bugs till it get fixed?
What about WvW blobs taking gates down in 10 seconds without getting in trouble?

I know this has been addressed in other threads, but the more people who post the more likely it will possibly be fixed quicker.
I’ll post some screenshots, make sure you follow the time displayed by the map is 6:55 PM, also take note of the PPT timer at the top of the screen. It took 8 seconds to get the second gate down with no siege.
http://imgur.com/a/dNZuq Image album here. <————
Maguuma claims they are doing this to hopefully get it fixed quicker, but it’s supper annoying and won’t get fixed unless we make a fuss about it.

I’m making this post here because it effects the entirety of the game. PvE, PvP and WvW are all effected.
There are currently two “bugs” in the game that are ruining the experience of a lot of players.
The first one revolves around the incredible damage engineers can pull off with grenades. While it might not have as much an impact in PvE it’s making PvP pretty trivial.
The second bug revolves around guardians shouts stacking quickness and damage. This impacts all parts of the game, especially WvW where large blobs of players can take a gate down in under 30 seconds with just melee weapons.
For a game that takes PvP seriously, and is pushing hard for it to be competitive and fun I’m astonished these bugs have not been patched yet. I think a lot of players who’ve played E-sport type games will concur that if there’s a game breaking bug/exploit/build most companies would be quick to address it with a hot fix.
Again, these things effect all phases of the game, I suppose people aren’t really complaining about the PvE effects because everyone benefits from more loot, but when it starts to diminish the enjoyably of the other game modes I think something should be done.
Just my opinions, feel free to respectfully disagree.

Don’t know if this information is helpful but it seemed to have stopped for a while which lead a few people to believe it might have been some type of hack, but that didn’t explain players being on ghost maps.
Yea, we also had reports of a player being able to walk into enemy keeps, but could not see players. We invited him to our party and saw him on the map inside the keep.
Can confirm, dying instantly at random moments. I’ll be standing and them bam, dead.
Are you on SBI or another server?
So on SBI we are running around and instantly getting killed. There’s nothing in the combat log, and there is no down state. I was in SM and a lot of people were talking about the lag and instantly getting killed when it happened to me.
Anyone ells seeing this?
So, where are these GMs?
There is a HoD ranger flipping towers and keeps from underground or something, he’s been able to get into the keeps/towers without siege and can solo lords. We’ve caught him several times but he just vanishes as soon as you’re near the lords room.
He was also able to repair walls without draining supply in a tower…
Enemy guards are still spawning inside friendly keeps and towers, they target canons and siege and constantly pop contested swords on the map.
I’m willing to bet this wont be fixed for quite a long time.
Tier 3 is a magical place right now. We’ve established some balance by actually working with the other servers to have fights and such.
During none prime time there’s lots of dueling and roaming.
Go to SBI unless you can put up with Maguuma trolls.
Can you look into the entire Maguuma server repeatedly mesmer exploiting into inner SM through the walls? Thanks.
I hope we get a taste of HoD this week.
If people really want Mag, SBI and HoD in T3 then SBI and HoD need to PPT harder.
DB’s falling but is still 50 pts ahead of HoD. There is a danger of DB getting stuck in T3 and SBI and HoD alternating in and out.
Best thing to happen would be for HoD to get into T3 next reset and DB to fall out. Then SBI and HoD double team Mag to suck as much Glicko off them to guarantee they both stay in T3.
sbi has gotten alot of transfers and are almost on par with mag now.
Maybe during prime time, we are working on it though.
supposedly the goal is to recruit only wvw guilds so its locked status for when HoT drops so no pve players can join the server and HoD climbs tiers or some kitten.
Wouldn’t know for sure though, the new server god who is making these plans hasn’t bothered to tell anyone who was on HoD prior to influx of dragonwagon.
Sorry to hear you didn’t have a say and people coming over. I hope things work out but it sounds like a lot of people are kittened.
Last I checked, 19 guilds had moved to HoD. That’s a lot of gold spent transfering people over.
It wont be long till HoD is in tier 3. Just have to hope DB falls fast.
When I say red circles, I’m referring to any ability cast by the enemy that places a field on the ground. I know multiple classes have the ability to uses these, but in the current state of WvW they have become the new meta, and in my opinion taking out a lot of fun tactical play in WvW.
I have a lot of opinions regarding them, but my main complaint is their current ability to act as a wall that deters enemies from approaching, forcing the new pirate ship meta and the fact that they can also be used as a zero range nuke right onto a combat engagement.
Perhaps the greatest problem is that they are being used in mass?
I’m curious to know what others opinions are of this, and I’m asking for some input in what people feel.
I think it’s pretty rare for a server below T2 to be able to queue a map outside of reset and prime time. SBI has been hovering between rank 10 and 9 for the last couple months and we rarely get two maps queued on reset.
DB will need more NA to balance out the coverage and number wars.
This is ever server that’s not in T2 or T3. Seriously, if you are competitive and want to enjoy 100% of what WvW offers you can’t play in the lower tiers, the ranks are so terrible. They need to rethink the system because people are just going to get burnt out.
Holy cow! My best friend made Cult of the Wind all by himself, I totally just texted him a video and his response was, “Hahaha, sweet!”
For those of you who don’t know, Cult of the Wind is an independent game developed by one person, where you run around pretending to be an airplane and fight other players in a capture the flag like map.
I think it’s likely a coincidence, and I highly doubt it’s a direct reference to the game, but still pretty sweet to see people mention his game.

I think we’re getting an off hand type weapon.
