Can we get a fix on this? Its pretty annoying, you are right about stationary objects, i cant break boxes or windows with it neither.
Can someone tell me which build is this some rangers are playing, they can tank up to 2 people hitting them their natural heal regen just keeps them alive, and they destroy your face as well with a few arrows and pet. Seriously, a thief and an ele hitting on 1 ranger and his health regen was higher than damage taken.
Some times even if you are ontop of your enemy the skill ‘misses’ seems like the angle of hit is way smaller than any other melee ability, i dont have this kind of problem with my #1 sword of my mesmer for example.
Note: #1 dagger skill.
So much troubles to add a simple latency monitor like EVERY game has? Even babo violent 2 a game of 6MB has one -.-
I hate glass cannon engineers, i dont know what to do they do damage such in a weird way, compared to a thief you just know they are all the same kitten you know exactly when to dodge and what to use against their noob backstab or heartseeker spam.
I think what you need to realise is that the game would become so imbalanced if they introduced new game modes.
As an example because it seems so popular, lets talk about 1v1 dueling. I’m sure many players would enjoy playing a mode like this but there are huge problems which would make the mode very broken and cause many more rage threads ect. Imagine having a 1v1 with a thief that is specced to be able to be permanently stealthed? Almost nothing would happen all game, until you or the thief decided to rage quit out of boredom. What would happen if a Full bunker build fought against another full bunker build? An excessively long match where neither player would die. Then players would be crying out to buff/nerf classes based upon their ability to 1v1 ect, creating even more imbalance. I believe there is currently only 1 game mode because the pvp is balanced around it and it works to the most extent
If you ever played WoW, there was teams like this, like 3x healers or 3x rogues and so on that were only there to kitten you off, yet it was the most popular mmo of all times and arenas were actually an ‘e-sport’.
Just wondering is there a latency monitor? Maybe an address to ping to? I have tried to ping to the address of the tcp connection but seems like they dont reply =/.

Doesn’t matter if it is arenas, or w/e, bring something that can be played by 2 or 3 people. I play with a RL friend and just cant do serious pvp since we have no time to ‘socialize’ in a game just to find decent people to do pvp. And no, joining us two with 3 other randoms just doesn’t work, so we end up doing hot join all day long since pugs in tPvP = sure loss.
Wow, thats terrible, seriously 45k? That’s kitten this is worse than ragnarok online korean endless farming. Where did the horizontal leveling go?
It is just too low, takes too long to gain a level and im only 17, plus it really gives no benefits at all in the actual ‘real’ game, so much for just some looks. (pve, wvwvw).
‘Some’ builds can actually make unkillable pets with lots of health regen.
Just remember WoW was bad for like the first year or so full of bugs and overpowered stuff, pvp was crap as well, look how good it did, until they ruined it with cata but thats another story. So patience my friends… Just 1 thing I really hope they dont pretend on releasing an expansion (which means wasting another 50 bucks or so) until the game is actually ‘good’.

Not just you didn’t nerf thieves, but you buff them. Thieves already 1 shot glass cannon builds and maybe 2 shot ‘normal’ non glass cannon builds, but now you just added a completely overpowered mesmer trait which gives them a HUGE amount of stacks of mights, which they can now share with their thief friend, allowing them to pretty much 1 hit anything regardless the spec, good job.

I gotta say i really hoped for 100% bunker 0 damage builds to actually die in this patch… but this just made things worse =/
I know you will come with the bs about sPvP and PvE are two totally different worlds, but can be there at least a small link between them? Like a small part of sPvP experience go to PvE and vice versa… It makes me sad that spending so much time in sPvP actually does NOTHING to the current game, since once i leave the mists i will be again a crappy level 2 character. And even if leveling is ‘horizontal’ its pretty hard to achieve level 80, even harder than in other ‘vertical’ mmos…
Its not 100% the warrior problem, but it lets other classes kitten you while the warrior just keeps you pinned to the ground 24/7. This game lacks seriously of diminishing returns.
Lol at a heal 15% of your life trait, dont you think it is a bit too much? Most of the ‘heal something on use something’ skills barely heal 1-2k. They should be the same.
Imo warriors and rangers are fine, some people managed to do some really strong and useful builds, which are pretty good. The main issue is that the other classes are overpowered, and making these two overpowered as well wont fix the problem. They just have to nerf down the rest of the classes.
I think the best and quickest solution right now is to add 2 slot rooms, then you will know those will be 100% sure a duel room.
On a long term, add private rooms, or even a duel mechanic where it takes you both(or more, party vs party maybe?) to a private custom and smaller map, similar to an arena.
Well this doesn’t seem fair at all, doesn’t matter how many condition remove and blink skills you have you just get stuck to the ground 100% of the time. Not to mention warriors still deal ridiculous damage in this ‘spec’.
So i have been seeing some warriors with 100% uptime 4-5s immobilize, pretty much with every hit they do. Care to explain?
Joined 3 matches one behind the other had to leave them all cause they were dueling, ended up joining 8v8.
I’m recently trying out a semi-bunker, phantasm based build, toughness and vit necklace and precision gems on the armor, currently at 25k HP and almost 2600 armor. And phantasms are doing a pretty nice damage they usually melt down glass cannon builds.
So 8v8 is just a massive zerg fest, while 5v5 is only filled with ‘DUELERS’. What are excepted to do if we cant do tPvP?
A duel feature is needed immediately it can’t wait for a feb 2013 update, sPvP is nearly dieing -.-
Your logic is flawed because sPvP chars are somehow shared. I was expecting an easier start for a new char in pve as well.
Just wondering, in sPvP every time you make a new character you actually keep your level, glory and pretty much everything.
But when making a new character in pve do you actually keep something? It’s pretty hard to level up already if you want to make a new char to start from 0, get all teleports, vistas, points of interest, etc all over again. What do you guys think?

Stealth is terribly coded in this game, channeled spells will still hit you after you stealth, regardless if you dodge or move they just keep fireing at you, on air spells still hit you, even some thief skills like heartseeker can sometimes hit you, i wish stealth worked something like vanish at wow where on air spells missed you, or cancel casting of spells as well.

I have played mesmer since beta 1 and now after the nerf rain over the class i wanted to try out a new one, tried them all and the only one i felt satisfied was with an elementalist, so it might go both ways
Eles not OP, tank ones maybe but that applies to all classes with a bunker spec they ruin the game.
Thieves in the other hand with their 11k backstabs are OP.
Mesmers with aoe mind wrack for 8-10k is also OP.
sPvP, im looking for some damage, with a lot of knock downs and heals i saw the other day this kind of engineer tanking out two people yet bursting them down, im curious about what set of weapons/traits was he using.
Even after the nerf i still use it, i love it, its funny and useful, time warp just has waaaaaaaay too much cooldown.
Starting a new engineer coming from nearly mastering a mesmer, im wondering if i can get a summary of possible builds and a small guide for each one. Thanks
Played it while waiting for GW2 to come out, gotta say it was funny at the beginning but it ended being just another boring, endless grind and crappy korean mmorpg.

Thieves have stealth and plenty of evasion on attacks.
Rangers have invuln and plenty of evasive attacks
Warriors have blocks, endure pain, and plenty of mobility to get out of hefty situations, plus access to stability.
Engineers have blocks, knockbacks, blinds, dazes, stealth with combo field
Necros have fear, death shroud (they get it worse here, admittedly)
Guardians have blocks, aegis, protection, invuln, heals, stability
Eles get shock aura, knockdowns, best mobility skill in the game to get ouf of danger, plenty of healing, blocks, knockdowns, invul, stability if they go for it.
But mesmers aren’t fine becuse of blurred frenzy

Every player that has a bit of experience knows how to evade blurred frenzy+ very predictive attack.
As when I see a warrior running to me with the bulls charge, i know that HB is comming, and I try to do something about it.
So befor you psot a problem, that is a problem only because you don’t know how to play your class, take the time you would spent writing insane posts to practice.
And if you are not rank atlest 25+ you have no right to complain here about classes, because you still don’t have learned to play.bdw. For blured frenzy to be eficacy atack need 2 skill waste. #3 and #2
And another ps. mesmers Without blured frenzy as defensive skill as well as attack skill, mesmers would be dead in A LOT OF SITUATIONS.
And as you were told, BF is the only mele attack that mesmer has to deal damage.
+ This attack actualy make mesmers “weak” in a certain way. “forces them to come closer”.So changing this is most likely out of consideration.
This just sumarizes it all, well said, 1 more nerf and mesmers are going to be 100% useless unless tank specced where all you do is survive, since BF is the only viable defensive skill for going melee, which is nearly the only viable damage build.
Not sure why is everyone crying about this, warriors can be immune for like 10 seconds AND while moving, 100% immune with the block thing, not to mention the other one which makes you take 0 damage.
Rangers have similar skills which makes you ‘evade’ while attacking, so does thieves, and elementals, if youre gonna nerf 1 nerf them all.
This game cant be an e-sport with capture base game mode since all it is is a zerg fest even when it is only 5v5. Bring team death match or something, capture point is just a random BG zerg fest like WoW.

The game got boring we need new maps and game modes. At least pvp wise. Pve is awesome dont get me wrong.
The skill is fine, it is pretty much the only thing that saves melee mesmers from dieing instantly and it is WAY too easy to dodge it, and it hits for nothing compared to hunder blades or some thief skills… I would trade this for 100blades damage anytime.
Precise Wrack: 10% critical chance on mind wrack, does this really work? I have ran some tests shattering for a while 1 illusion at a time and there was no difference at all, from around 100 shatters, 56 were criticals, while my stats shows 59% critical, plus this trait it should be 69% critical chance, there must be something wrong.
Compounding power: 3% extra damage for each active illusion. Does this even work with shatters? I mean shatter damage is calculated before or after clones dies?
Also it doesnt work on Phantasms i guess trait bonuses are not shared with them.
