Ontop of fixing the bugged chest, they should change their color, make it shiny or something they are hard to see.
Extra 10 skills? You are wrong, saying that is OP, because, having those ‘extra’ skills is actually our special class skill, just like mesmers have extra 4 skills, warriors and thieves 1 extra skill and so on. On top of that each skill is actually weaker than any of the ‘non op’ classes skills, thats why eles needs them all.
I liked it, no double downed penalty anymore at least. However i would like to see a more useful downed skilled like other classes have ontop of the life saver. For example, warriors life saver is the knockdown they get instantly, but also they have the vengeance skill to allow them for even a better effect if you delay to finish the job. Eles are meh only vampor form.
Thief bursts. They’re invisible and in less than 1 second, you’re downed. No time to react, just time to die. I know everyone whines about thieves, they’re mostly fine, just should not have the ability to fully down someone at full health from invisible mode. Sure, I can down someone at full health SOMETIMES with bulls/frenzy/100b – but you can see me coming. You can see me rush at you with bulls, and start crazily throwing around a giant sword.
So basically what I’m saying here is the thief should not be allowed such a big burst AND have the ability to be invisible the entire time.
Couldn’t agree more… Warriors are fine just because you can see them and most of the time react. Thieves are like, even more damage than warriors, but you never see them coming no time to react.
Farming resources from nodes is pretty slow now, i have noticed this as well, typical ori nodes on frostgore aren’t there anymore.
Its way faster to get mats from salvaging items, hopefully they dont nerf this as well.
I would rather have an AoE like now that actually does same damage, than a real AoE that does no damage at all and is pretty much useless like i have seen on other games.
Yes the chests are bugged badly, i keep getting rares/exotic on corpses, and some times on chests, also i have got GRAY, blue and green items on chests, it seems pretty random.
Agree sharks are op and underwater is weak for most of the classes (except warriors ofc they can roflstomp anyone with the tsunami attack)
So game is built on GW1 engine. All those wonderfully unique and interesting skills aren’t in this version… whhaa!? consider this Anet. A warrior in gw1 has more than 200 unique WEAPON skills. an assassin also has more than 200 unique WEAPON skills. thats 400 descending skills for each slot.
You get 5 skills in GW2 with interesting combos from other weapons. 5 from greatsword. 3 from 1h sword, 2 more in the offhand. 3 from mace, etc. the combos are pretty cool… for awhile. but since the skills are LOCKED there isnt much room for variability.
To be fair lets take ONLY the first 5 slots from GW2 and apply the concept to GW1 using 400 factorial down to 396… the math is simple. 400X399X398X397X396 = 9986232009600 different possible combinations you could potentially have available to just 5 weapon slots. you read that correctly. nearly 10 trillion. Then stack the variation available with the concept of traits and major traits?
Coming from GW1 I was shocked, baffled, disappointed.
Please answer us as to why you took such a huge step in this direction. It was so much FUN creating and tinkering with different ideas.What isnt fair of me is you said you wanted to take out the overlapping, bland, etc type skills. Well why not a compromise? Use the 1handed sword on a warrior for example. Number 1 is a chain with condition at the end. Add different “chains” that vary those conditions as possible skill slots. 2 is a gap closer, so why not vary the method with which you close? or sacrifice the closer for a ranged movement impairment. 3. the cripple. take it out for more damage? or a shorter version with a secondary condition applied.
Do we need 200 weapon skills? maybe not. I’d love to see it. but a healthy 3-5 for each slot in varying degrees?
Then come Elites. my gosh your signature ability for christ sake! what happened?

Currently the D/D build has the same burst power of a Thief, same mobility as Thief, same survival as Thief (through damage reduction rather than stealth tho, i.e. backstab hits them for 4-5k).
Considering it’s a melee spike build it’s fine tho, the real problem to me seems to be overpowered healing that comes with it.
Getting from almost dead to full in seconds is the sort of thing tends to get a lot of hate like WoW Paladins.Anet wants to nerf AoE dmg but honestly it seems wrong to me. AoE is ok.
Healing on the other hand should be like it was planned to be, i.e. your heal skill is your only reliable heal everything else is flavor minor healing – if your health gets low and your 6 is used, you either escape or die, you don’t reset a fight.Also, if a nerf is to be handed to Eles next patch I hope they will get staff buffs in return.
It’s a joke that against a melee Ele it’s a tough fight and a staff Ele is a free kill, find some balance Anet…They don’t have that much burst. They have sustained DPS. And the amazing healing plus high regen/protection uptime is a great benefit for attrition fights which this particular ele spec is quite good at. Balance the class all you want, just don’t destroy it like what you did with Engies.
A lot of healing? The healing is pretty LOW, nearly crap, the difference is that eles have so little hp that even a small healing looks like a lot “oh wow he went from 10% to 90% he healed alot” but people fails to see that was like just a 6k heals.
Now you have guardians, with 20k+ hp, and their heal recoves like 10k.
Done fotm lvl 20. Not a single rare in the whole 4 fractals, not even in the jade maw final chest, and had omnom 100% of the time.
I mean it took us 2 hours to do the run maybe more and it was a complete waste, this kind of RNG is dumb, there should be some guaranted drop.
Lvl 20 not high enough? I see no difference in drops, done 3 fractals, not a single rare. All blues from bosses.
Bosses in FOTM drops most of the time 1 useless BLUE! Considering most of thems have no chests, on top of that chests drops are almost always useless as well. Imo champions should guarantee a rare drop and legendaries an exotic drop.
Since you fixed most of the annoying visual bugs, you forgot one, auras when shared and even on the player itself some times do not show (like shocking aura)

Add a rating system! Finish polishing this 5v5 not so fun conquest mode, and do the same with a new smaller scale pvp mode for random people like me and my friends!
If it wasnt because i just killed a lvl 11 moa being lvl 80 and got a lvl 7 item i would be happy about it.
I actually liked the rework, but seriously, knock down from mobs NEEDS to go out, you can stand and kill the sneaky mob the first half but after that if theres no guardian in the party you just cant kill it and survive through all the knock downs spam its just too much, it was even easier before (doing it the right way, without wp rush).
Fotm lvl 10 is as easy as doing a daily seriously…
There’s one thing i dont understand, doing fotm it takes you 10 days to get a ring in the WORST case, since u can get one from chest as well.
Now, doing laurels, it takes you 30 days, in the worst case, and 20 days in the best case you do the monthly, am i missing something?

So you get 10 laurels for doing this, what happens to the people that already did it this month? Some people just did it all except for 1 thing so they will get the new rewards while the other people gets punished for doing it before and gets nothing =(
No bug fixes to lightning whip and fire grab missing half of the time even when you are facing your target and in range, makes me sad, just useless fixes =/
How’s not farming 250 globs of ectoplasm considered grinding? And making your ascended backpiece infused is requiered to play higher levels of fotm, so its not only for the looks here. There you go, grind if you want to move even higher.
Rather than this and legendaries, i think theres no grind at all at least for having the gear needed to play the game even if you will prolly look like crap.
Now there’s grind for dyes, legendaries, cool looking weapons/armors, but thats only cosmetic so that doesn’t really bothers.
But theres actual grind to get ascended, and infused ascended gear.
It’s weird because it nearly looks as if it loaded EVERYTHING again when you move from overflow to ur real world, theres no caching at all.
Another loading screen, you in are LA, move from overflow to your real world, LOADING SCREEN BANG! but you didnt move any pixel at all =/
The only portals you had to cross were dungeon ones, and continent ones. Rather than that you could explore the WHOLE freaking world without a single loading screen.
Here all i see is, start the game, loading screen, appear at a long loading screen lion’s arch, use a waypoint to another part of LA, another loading screen. Waypoint to another map, loading screen, walk to another map, loading screen!
In wow it would be like, loading screen, appear at orgrimmar, take a fly path, arrive at your location, move to next zone, done.
Agree, this game needs to get rid of the kitten ticket system, and add a ‘rating system’ just like that game we all used to love. Its the only way to keep people playing and have some kind of progression.
Portals everywhere and huge loading screens for EVERYTHING, even using a waypoint in the same city, i dont think this can be ‘fixed’ (aka do a good optimization/changes) now but i would love to know why was this done this way, prolly to make lower end computers run but as said above other mmo with same graphical power had no issues so thats a bit of a poor reason imo.
stun is a condition so it’s removable.
Main and most important difference. Knock downs cant be removed as conditions do.
250 globs of ectoplasm, the only way? Thats around 100 gold. Or a few months of farming, isn’t it a bit excesive? Even if it is only to do higher levels of Fotm, if we add making an actual useful infusion it can go above 120 gold.
Is there a way to disable the fixed sorting some of the special bags (like fractal ones) have? I cant explain how annoying it is and i only got the bag cause of the 20 slots =/
Every skill that hits ‘from the sky’ has this behavior. Its pretty nice and i hope no nerf to this.

Ya WvWvW Fps drops are out of this world, to avoid mentioning optimized worse than GTA 4. I get from 40 fps normally to 3-4 fps when a big zerg shows.
I agree buying it with gold is kitten it should be bought with WvWvW badges at least.
Now in the map where you have to break the seals to release the giant, if you fall on the jumping parts, you DIE. Instead of going downed. Tested a few times, any reason for this? I hope the same wasnt done to the harpy map…
Stealth shouldn’t stack in duration and revealed debuff should last 5+ seconds.
Well the tooltip is misleading then and the trait itself is pretty bad.
Haven’t tested them but it will prolly be the same.
Air training: increases damage in air attunement by 10%, Lingering elements: your attunement bonuses linger for 5 seconds. The problem is that air training 10% bonus is not working when going to other attunement and having the 5 seconds buff from lingering elements, making either of these bugged.
This was tested with a steady dagger from sPvP, against a heavy training dummy, and switching from air to either fire or earth, both attunements auto attack damage was the same with and without lingering elements buff, and also tested with and without air training trait (maybe it was adding 10% damage 100% of the time).
Thieves have stealth, guardians heavy armor hp and heals and a hell lot of defensive abilities, mesmers have portal stealth and illusions, eles have mobility and can run from battles, that’s their special thing, if you take that from eles they will just be garbage. By the way also remove stealth from thieves, make guardians use light armor and remove portal from mesmers!

By the time you waste exploiting the TP for countless of boring hours, you could be dungeon farming, making 2g/hour raw, plus materials and salvaged items which increase ur income by a lot (lodestones, cores etc) and a small chance of finding a precursos and get tons of gold (i found scepter precursor myself) imo better way of making money and you dont get bored to hell.
The problem is players don’t give a kitten if centaurs take over farms because it has no real consequences on them.
Centaurs could take over Tyria completely that players would not be affected and would only bother to liberate LA.I say that what happens in the world should affect players in some negative ways so they go solve that event (but the reward should be scaled).
For instance, if Cents take over a farm all human characters get 10% less gold from loots (pve only); if they liberate the farm, the malus goes away for 24 hours.
This is a nice idea, give each race some specific events which increase/decrease their stats for a few days if they get unattended.
Mesmers > eles easily.
Just wondering, any plans on implementing a race change feature? Personally im a little bit dissapointed on how bad end game items look on asuras, they are too small, even with funny movements useful racials, the armor/weapons on them looks pretty lame compared to other bigger races. And im too lazy to level the same class over again.
