The amount of people playing sPvP is critically low, im already seeing always the same people playing tourneys its even sad.
I like this idea nodes should be a more interesting and stop being so ranged friendly.
We need fractal skins with relics, pristines or w/e, or make them tradeable.
LEGENDARIES! are tradeable who in bloody hell thought fractal skins with a 1/190 chance of getting the one you want running an endless boring fractal should be ‘more important’ than a legendary?

I doubt it was even originally designed as a 5v5 map. I stopped having fun with 1 round tourny’s and 3 round tourny’s take way too long to queue. Next weeks map should be better.
I know right, it just seems like it was made for hot joins, too big, too much running around wasting time. I really enjoyed spirit watch because it was small and ofc the CTF component of it added a really nice flavor.
So no more spirit watch…. Now over and over the same BORING AND OLD map, bring random maps or keep spirit watch at least that was new… temple is so boring, spirit was the closest to a TDM capture the flag we ever had it even made me go back again to sPvP after a few months now i guess i wont be steeping there again in a while.
Is there a staff build that doesn’t suck?
Some people go deep in earth and water and some in arcana, with soldier amulet meaning no crit at all, neither fury, or barely 2 seconds on attunement switch which leads to really low damage(to the already weak, slow and easy to avoid staff skills). Leaving behind condition damage which is also weak and we dont have many.
I have myself tried going for 20 air, 30 water, 20 arcana, soldier amulet, and cantrips, i gotta say thats not really that bad, you can still do some damage to non bunker specs while surviving some burst as well but still damage output and survivability isnt nearly as good as D/D is. With the same traits/utility/amulet as d/d i can tear down bunker specs while surviving a lot of burst damage and great mobility (which staff lacks greatly).
Fire trait lines is left, havent found any good there.
I will give you the best argument: Class mechanic and or flavor, call it w/e you want, mesmers have portal, thieves have stealth, warriors have 1 shooting abilities, we have survival!
Just wondering, i have been seeing something lately, is really 5 bunker specced players the best atm? With 1 runner (also bunker) which might be ele, ranger, or engineer. 5 bunkers barely killing anyone just holding bases and running.
If you swap weapons fast enough you can keep 6 stacks of might after a bit.

ANet is not against grinding, otherwise i wouldnt been doing fractals of the mist for over 2 months already to get the weapon i want and i didnt get it yet. I swear fractal skins are harder to get than legendaries.
Yes I think they are going to nerf this .. As of now on my ranger I can use signet of the hunt and dodge like a million times swoop with the greatsword which is moving forward 1100 range lol and then turn around and use lightning reflexes to backflip for the score! Takes little to no time lol
Yet they all complain about eles RTL, shows how it is just a L2P issue.

Oh yes…but i think u noticed that noone actually heals 2.5k+ just dodging around…am i wrong? An ele can refull his hp in seconds without touching 6 (That btw many times is the only healing skill given to other classes or specs) or utilities…just dodges and weapon skills…even a guardian can’t do that and he also has no mobility and no dmg if specced bunker…but yes ele (Expec valkirie, the most broken of them all) is fine, at last for those who play it, obviously..
Its not 2.5k + every time you dodge, neither on sPvP where is the only place that balance matters, not to mention you waste a dodge to heal and a lot of damage going 30 in arcana. Eles might be the only class that heals this much but also the only class with light armor and 13k base hp with only 1 viable spec.
Good thing devs dont listen to L2P issues.

Eles have too much control and mobility, nerf!! → god d/d needs it, how else is a class with no hp, and no armor, supposed to go melee against kitten warriors or rangers? We need gap closers, adding a 2s cast time to RTL and 30s cd would make it utterly crap, i can tell you by this you are terrible as an ele, considering this change only was minded to use RTL as an escape mechanic, how are we supposed to catch those sneaky thieves or rangers if RTL has a huge neon signal telling you your enemy to dodge or move away? With burning speed? lol
Ya remove shocking aura from D/D, and plus all the changes above, you have a 100% glass cannon build that cant survive a burst nor catch his enemy and has to go in melee.
Ok remove healing from eles, give them 24k base hp and rework the healing skills so they give you an evade (just as most of the rangers skills) component rather than a heal.
Remove RTL from daggers, but give them 1200 range and huge single target damaging skills. (we have staffs for aoe but it is so slow and boring no one uses it)
Also evasive arcana was nerfed in pvp already, so it will barely heal for 700-800, not to mention the 10s internal cooldown, just shows how 0 knowledge you have about the class.

Not sure if you are the same guy who posted a wall of text of incredibly kitten changes to eles to a point of making them useless or you are another guy, but you did exactly the same. Deleting the ele class would be faster and easier.
Eles only need new playable builds, they are no where close to be as op as you describe.
Scepter as well is terrible compared to the others, why this racism against other weps? Why so much love for greatswords ? Staff and scepter could use some shinny effect and a trail just like greatsword.
If you add the possibility of taking critical hits to the LA dummies (i dont know why they dont atm) then they would do fine.
Agreed about making it only once PER ACCOUNT rather than per char.
Also fractals of the mist chest could use some improvements now, considering most of the bosses take more time and are waay harder than the actual dragons.
The change was great at least 250 ectos for just a cosmetic item wont be that bad now. At least now theres actually a reward for killing kitten.
Seems like march update is a WvWvW focused update. However, will we see class more balancing, and fractals of the mist changes?
We need to buy fractal skins with them! The daily pristine relics at least, add shards or w/e but please add them already.
No no daggers are in the bottom of everything they all look terrible for the few exceptions of legendary, corrupted and fractal. There really needs to be something done, daggers are really small, barely visible, they need some kind of show off effect.
Needs improvement, no special effect at all compared to greatsword or the others.

Lets see, Jormag’s needle, expensive as hell yet it looks awful looks like it was made in paint.
Tear of grenth: same as above.
Mystic spike: Not that bad, yet a dagger for the small size needs to be better.
Now if you look at scepters, you have tons of cool, shinny and glowing looking ones, god immobulus is awesome, abyssal scepter is awesome as well, even some low level ones look pretty decent.
Same as staves, and dont get me into greatswords cause the skin designers were paid to make greatswords only it seems, while regular programmers made daggers in paint.
I love it, in pvp as well, people say im crazy but 10 secs less on healing is a lot, not to mention condition remove. You just need to time it right, i usually have a successful heal 95% of the time, some times i get interrupted due to some unexpected interrupt but that barely happens.
Weapon damage changes a lot in most of the skills, try the legendary steady weapons from HotM on a dummy, you will see your damage cut down by almost 100%, you will hit nothing with most of the skills. So ya 10% increase is a lot.
RTL does not make you invulnerable… if you apply an immobilize mid air you just stunned the ele for the duration and can destroy him.
Every class can do it, well maybe not necros but they can facetank 3 people easily.
Finally some people seeing how other classes can do the same as RTL, the only problem is that 90% of the eles around use RTL since thats the only viable build while most of the other classes are either glass cannon useless builds or bunkers with only survival and no mobility at all but they can achieve the same results as RTL changing their spec.
What’s this? Not a ride the lightning QQ post? Great job! More people should follow your steps and adapt.
I would love to see staff completely reworked or add a new 1200 range weapon with fast cast and dynamic skills like daggers, instead of long cast, no mobile and mostly all ground targetted staff. Eles are really in need of new builds.

Elementalists: Can ride the lightning with the orb yet no one else can use speed buffs
Thieves: Can use infiltrators arrow to shadow step traversing up and down the points, capping them even before the team can get back.
Mesmers: Well, just portals!
There you have it? Game over just bring a couple of Eles, a Thief, a Guardian and a Mesmer, game won!
Was this the intention? Are we being shoe horned into specific setups?

To clarify, all warrior charges and leaps are effected by slows. RtL is not. This is why people complain about RtL, but not Rush. And for another, bunker eles have shown that base hp and armor mean absolutely kitten.
Yeah nerf rtl once again why dont you just remove it and everyone will be happy.
Or just make it work like every other gap closer/charge type skill. The cooldown nerf is irrelevant. Go ahead and revert it, no one really asked for that.
You dont understand, it needs to be better that other classes gap closers (actually heart seeker is the best of all!) cause eles have no hp and use light armor, god u want an ele as clunky as a guardian or warrior? It would die instantly.

You know, mesmers used to dominate on most of the maps, portal mechanic is really overpowered and useful and most of the teams needs a mesmer, classes have advantages, deal with it, and its not as big as portal because at least most of the classes have similar almost as good skills. Also dont get me started with time warp which is a deciding factor on most of the battles.

Stability, most of the classes can use it.
Guardians are allowed to use their infinite arsenal of shields, healing, protection and stability.
Eles, healing, ride the lightning, mist form.
Rangers, almost 100% uptime protection, similar jumps to ride the lightning
Warriors, endure pain, some charges which are nearly as good to ride the lightning, 2x hp and armor than an ele.
Every class has its skills and advantages, but most of them barely use them, compared to the only viable spec an ele has… if you want to disable ride the lightning, you will as well disable every movement skill, and also any kind of shield that blocks the way, why not just make classes not being able to use skills at all ?
I actually find the map balanced, i tried to just cap the orb with rtl back and forth ignoring everyone and really a good team wont let that happen, a guardian even an engineer can be better.
Really, good job giving a guaranted rare on big chests from dragons and most of the open world legendaries. Now i have a reason to even bother killing them, thanks! If you ever change it back to the crap it used to be i will uninstall
Now, why did fractals of the mist get excluded from this? I mean, with a 1 day cooldown on the ‘guaranted a rare’ thing, it wouldnt be that much farmed neither, or would it be too much?
I would like to see some hard hitting ranged like rifle warrior or quick damage ranged like short bow ranger =/

Can we get a good ranged build already? Sceter is mid range and you still need some meleeing, while staff is godly useless and slow and only good to break down zergs.

Just wondering, will fotm ever get updates? I mean, responses to all the people asking for new ways to obtain fractal weps (or at least trade them) and what to do with rings/pristine relics excess ? Next patch maybe?
For dungeons some times is overkill considering with S/D you have 4 blast finishers you dont really need the one for EA, plus theres always someone else who will give a few stacks of might to the party as well.
You are right, im using another playstyle, i feel like damage isnt enough without 20 on air (so i use 20 on arcana as well). Im not even using boon duration runes, i have always gone for damage/crit damage while still having P/V/T gear (in spv) and P/V/T + knights a few zerker (in WvWvW/pve), so my 20th trait in air was just a 10% damage, which is now replaced for the 20% cd reduction so i dont have to change my playstyle with RTL, i guess this nerf didn’t really affect me at all, compared to the old school 10/30/30. And i tell you i wreck other eles which use EA doesn’t matter if it is WvWvW or sPvP.
Now however im a bit bored of this build and i would like new builds but i guess that wont happen any time soon.

Relax! The nerf wasn’t that bad, 30 points in arcanna was useless anyways, only unskilled people that needed it to survive will still use it, just go 20 air, get 20% reduced cd, and RTL cd goes back to what it used to be (ok not 15, but 16, same thing! plus less cd on other important skills

Vigor is still up most of the time, so does fury and swiftness. It could (and im sure will in next patch) be worse.
Lightning whip and fire grab, missing 90% of the time if the enemy moves half a step! Come on you have fixed a lot and nerfed a lot, but this has been here since betas, we are like the only class with such a high random bugged miss chance on skills.
Loved it. Small, capture the flag, lots of action.
One thing though, the points awarded to the flag capturer should be higher, not talking about team score, but personal score. Some guy capping bases gets 10 times higher score than the poor slave running back and forth with the flag
The fix to the trait that gives fury/quickness on aura apply hurted me bad its harder to have 100% uptime of fury now =/
Can you tell me why you nerf eles, i know they needed a bit of it, that’s not what im really complaining, but thieves are left like before, yay at more 1 shooting hs/bs spamming builds!
bleh what the hell why ecto’s? always with the ecto’s its like some weird fascination. at least its not 250 for once.
Ectos are a secondary gold sink like everything in this game, you see, if you farm a lot, you are prolly going to make a lot of rares as well, which would become a lot of gold, so instead of converting them to gold you make them ectos and items for ur personal use!
However rares wouldn’t be that expensive if we didnt need ectos for everything so this is kind of a circle…
