So, the new ‘super’ skins are buy able with tokens, and even tradeable, and they are pretty cool! And yet fractals skins are only from rng (terrible rng) and non tradeable.
Its time to make them buyable with tokens already.
This new event just showed how they can get rid of rng and give special skins with tokens. Why havent we added this to the fractal of the mists skins yet? 2 months doing level 28 and 38 DAILY and still haven’t got the skin im looking for while other people already have two of them on their first week.

Fighting a full glass cannon mesmer, bleed damage was on top of mind wrack and others, by a large margin. Not sure if the death thingy is bugged or what and is showing wrong damage, because that must be impossible.
It would be balanced also if it wanst bugged and pet didnt continue to heal even after interrupted OR killed.
Maybe that change was too much, but what they REALLY need to change is stealth stacking. Thieves can be 100% stealthed, which was obviously unintended considering each stealth lasts so few. Just give perma stealth to thieves already then and make it like WoW stealth instead if you gonna let things as they are now.
Maybe that’s reason ANet is sleepy and careless, they know they are no competence right now. Maybe they are saving all the cool features to when a game that can actually beat gw2 releases?
Even with all the bugs, the fail balance between classes, the hell lot of missing features, the lack of new pvp modes, the lack of incentive to be at the top, the lack of class diversity, this game is awesome, and no im not being sarcastic. Just played some WoW arenas with a friend to remember good old times, god that game is awful how did we even play that? Ended up stressed and having no fun at all. At least there’s still fun in this game with all the above mentioned, which is what matters!
Killed rangers? Lolwut, they are prolly the best bunker right now, infinite dodges, high protection up time, lots of healing and heavy damage.
Other specs also have huge damage, you people are just building wrong.
Quickness is still lame, remove it for once and for all from sPvP, give them something else like a passive 10% damage bonus or something so they stop crying.
No. Actually, remove quickness from pvp, it just dumbs down the game and promotes unskilled gameplay, dependent on a skill.

Damage wasnt reduced by half, it is increased by 100% in PvE which is different.
I had no problems with confusion lately, did they buff it or something in this last patch and i didnt notice it?
I always laugh when a warrior on my team heals and I see their hp bar go up about an inch lol. Mending heals for so little it is an insult.
Heals the same as everyone, for the exception of guardians which heals like 10k. Its just that the warriors hp pool is incredibly high.
Not like quickness was removed from the game, it is still a boost.

Its more than obvious the first one skills should be superior to the second one in terms of survivability, mobility, duration and cooldown.
I think lordrosucky or w/e ur name is (too lazy to scroll up) is time to reroll, there are way too many posts of you against the ele class.
so a class with light armor should do 20k dmage (random number) and a class with heavy armor should do 10k damage (random number)?

Funny thing here is the other way around.
Thieves are fine. Have you found the new perma stealth bug yet? You can literally stack stealth to have about 5s of stealth PERMANTENTLY. So in terms of survival they are fine. Backstab still does 10k damage instantly, heartseeker is still the same, we are all good. I wish they added the nerf they said about always giving the revealed debuff and dont allow stealth timer stacking.

Combat in gw2 beats tera and wow by far. But get your wallet ready if you want cool looking items because arena net wants you to gamble all our dollars on the cash shop
Maybe 100blades wasnt supposed to be 100% landed on a target? And probably made to 1hit npcs and not players, while still being able to 1hit slow players. I dont see any 20k damage 1 hit short on cd skill around with 100% guaranted hit rate.
Yeh the balance sucked in the patch but to be honest I do prefer the meta after the patch. So maybe there was method to their madness.
Although I hope they wont put Ele Watch as a map till they fix it so that the team that wins isnt just the team with the most eles. Now quickness is nerfed the ranger is a lot worse orb carrier.
I would also like to see a significant reduction in the damage taken whilst in frenzy and now they nerfed quickness maybe they can finally make mending 30% more of a heal and maybe reduce the cd on endure pain to make it at least comparable with other professions skills like this.
P.s. why does a necro have a 90s cooldown to just get 6 seconds of protection (spectral armour) and yet an ele gets a 75s cooldown on becoming invulnerable for 3s. Its so unfair.
I would like to see mist form get a 90s cooldown tbh. I mean endure pain is WAY worse as its not invulnerbility and thats on a 90s cooldown. It is a joke. Its 100% worse than mist form and yet is on a longer cd lol.
Ok, give eles mist form 90s cd, but also give them heavy armor and 12k more base hp, deal? Somehow i thought this wasnt just another ele QQ thread… A good ranger can beat the crap out of an ele, actually anyone can! And hey, if the ele ran away, you actually won, since he left the point.

Theres a bug currently you can get laurels from both pvp and pve it seems, i just got 1 laurel from a pvp daily, while i had already earned my laurel from pve today.
Actually i like this i hope this bug gets converted to a feature, that would really make me play pvp again.
I dont know why do they love gambling, i would actually buy it if it was just the ticket directly rather than just gambling, they would still make profit. They did it already why the need to make it gambling this time…

The new molten skins are pretty awesome (the ones you get with black lion chests) however i just used 20g to open 10 chests, got none, but 1 more key, so i opened 11 in total, i guess this is just another huge gold sink filled up with mega tiny RNG. Can a dev at least say the chances of getting one so i see if it is worth or not?
Second, the new guild mission tokens wep skins are godly awful who would waste tokens on that?

RTL not affected by slows isnt a bug, since compared to other gap closers, it locks all your skills, and if you get immobilized you basically stun yourself for 2 or 3 seconds. Other gap closers usually comes with huge damage (see warriors ) and you can still use your skills. Not to mention eles are in the bottom of the list about HP/armor so they need to shine over other classes when it comes to mobility.
I have been begging to bring back the first beta sets. Where you had all the same stats but divided among rings, neck, earrings and so on, it wasnt really op you could just make more balanced builds rather than glass cannon or bunker like it is currently, their excuse was “it was too hard for players, too many choices” something like that, /facedesk.

Of course it’s easier to stay alive with a bunker than with a glass cannon, but have you ever tried playing with a zerker amulet full glass cannon elementalist? yeah, you live 3 seconds (mist form), and then YOU’RE DEAD. And you have no stealth or shortbow evade or distortion or blurred frenzy or a kittenING STUN BREAK ON YOUR WEAPONSET.
So, if you want to compare a glass cannon, do it with another glass cannon, instead of comparing apples to melons

Thats true, see ‘semi bunker’ condition thieves, they barely die, a lot of mobility, stealth and evades, and also some good damage output to those classes that cant remove conditions like a mfker (eles or rangers), yet no one complains they are op.
Necros have a similar spec to the above, yet everyone is buthurt about eles going away with RTL im sure thats the main problem.
Rangers have the worst condition removal in game… that must be a joke, after eles or even on pair with them they have the best one from a BM trait.
Just check his posts they are mostly all about eles being op so sad.
All i want is small scale pvp, 2v2 or 3v3 at most. This kind of anti casual long and boring conquest games is not fun for most of the people thats why pvp is dead, its not because the lack of balance, but because Conquest is boring.
Gold for sPvP, dyes rng aint profit enough.

These two class mechanics require skill to counter — more so than any other class in the game (go ahead and pick one — no other mechanics compare)
unfortunately the amount of dmg they deal is just too high for using simple skills especially thieves . below is an example on my ranger with 3.2k toughness,1.1k healing power,i used up all my utility in a previous skirmish so this thief killed me under 5 seconds flat.
4k steal,7k backstab,2 times HS for 9k,3k cloak n dagger.
he pressed around 5 buttons only
Same thing happens with mesmers: iLeap, sword skill, 2x clones, mind wrack → BOOM 12k damage instantly only 4 buttons pressed and no risk taken considering you are immune most of the time and you can just go invi or use distortion after mind wrack, 0 risk taken.
I just find it op that they can do so much damage without any risk at all. Both duelist and zerker do a lot of damage without the mesmer needing to anything at all(like 3-4k each), and a shatter combo (4x shatter) hits 2.2k each on a light armor target with soldier amulet, thats 8.8k damage instantly most of the time unlike 100blades which comes slowly even with quickness. Right you can dodge or use oh kitten utilities the first few but if we add on top of that you are dodging other enemies its pretty hard to stop, on top of that shatter hits aoe.
Im running a full power build with 30 in fire 20 water 20 arcana not gonna tell it all but its doing wonders in sPvP. However dont expect to win 1v1s against skilled players yet you might give them some fighting.
Ya because staff eles are the best ones to 1v1 right…
Anyways, suddenly fighting mesmers is all about a L2 kitten ue? But d/d eles is all about op op nerf nerf, i find it funny really.
Either nerf phantasms damage or shatter damage, or remove some CC from them, the amount of knock downs daze and huge damage combined with stealth and a lot of ‘oh kitten’ skills they have is just too much. Not talking about 1v1 where you can predict and dodge it all but on a 2v2 3v3 or w/e while on a point where you cant see anything of whats going on you just get wrecked by this they dont even need to target you.

The problem comes when toughness, is not enough if you are talking about the soldier amulet, otherwise you need to go for the shaman amulet which is max toughness but only viable for cond damage builds. Thieves and mesmers can still cut like butter through toughness.
I really love how the people complaining about eles being op are here defending their thief/mesmers which can survive as much as an ele and still be glass cannon
Mesmers are overpowered that’s for sure, their aoe shatter damage is higher than any other aoe in game(try to 2v1 a mesmer even if hes not targeting you, you can still die) plus lots of conditions, hard to catch and obviously portal allowing them to pretty much be on 2 places at the same time. Their dps rotations are way too easy to the damage output they can provide, almost as a thief spamming heart seeker.
I tried condition failed miserably =/ d/d is the way till they do something to staff anyone with an eye can dodge mostly everything
Excuse me how do u really apply conditions as a staff ele? I dont really see a lot of options here rather than fire 3 and earth 2. After that all the other skills are wasted since without power and crit meteor storm and eruption will do low damage.
raise base HP by 5k, add evasive skills to water + small regenen solution ( something on the line of water trident) remove huge heal skills like water trident and cleansing wave (while remaining the single condition removal) and remove heal from EA+condition removal and add 3s chill, increase damage of auto-attacks and buff a couple of skill, finally make so that fire/air trait lines have more synergy with the rest of the attunement/utilities..done fixed ele for you
