Good, arenas are terrible, and have created nightmarish balance problems in pretty much every PvP game they got implemented in, in addition to having some of the most simplistic and stagnated metas possible.
Because balance in GW2 with only one game mode after 3 years of release is better than those other games… pfft, I would rather have arenas and more game play modes with a little less balance than what’s currently here. We are forgetting about just having fun. You can keep your super balance for existing game modes and keep it only ranked, but other modes just for fun and unranked would be great.
I liked the idea of a timeout or something after you cleanse a condition, so it can not be re applied within 1 or 2 seconds.
About giving priority to highest damage condition, I disagree, what about snares, roots, slows etc… I want those cleaned before anything else, at least most of the time (unless I have 10 stacks of burning)

Also it should not be possible to heal the boss, get a few guardians or eles close and you get the boss from almost dead to almost full health.
I agree, team deathmatch needs a new filter, and more maps/modes, plus the already mentioned improvements to courtyard

I am still waiting to an arena-style sPvP, and I have waited from release…
Smaller the group, the more imbalanced the PvP gets. Same issue why we have no 1v1. Cant balance on 1v1 or other forms of small scale PvP.

We already have every map for 5v5…
This map is perfect for lower scale pvp! Who cares if it is not 100% balanced, as it currently is, it is 0% balanced and just a zerg fest, at least it may be fun.
Break venom and dodge, immune, stun the thief, hide behind a pillar, what ever to stop that shooting, it hurts a lot but the theif will be down in 1 or 2 hits as well…
The map needs to be changed in any way, but the two things I proposed, reducing players to 2 or 3 and the max points size to something like 100 or 200, would make the map WAY more fun, and it is something that is currently available so it means no new changes in the code or gameplay at all… it should really take ANet like 0 effort, really.
Make it 2v2 or 3v3 and have it all respawn at the same time otherwise this map is just a random zergefst not even enjoyable.
Even better, make it 100 points or something, I know you can do it with custom arena, but you have to pay for it and any attempt for that kind of arena is empty duh, pretty useless.
I have bought the game from day 1, quit for around 2 years because no new game types were added (I was really hoping for random 2v2, 3v3 arenas), came back as the game pvp improved a bit and somehow missed it (yet by no means I’m going to give more money to this) and yet, now over 3 years since release (??) they just added a new game type which doesn’t seem really fun neither.
Just saying that by this time other games already had like 5 different game types, being arena the most popular one, you may guess the game…
So yeah, get your hopes down by new game types because that may happen 3 or 4 expansions from now.

Im talking about arenas, or any new mode at all, capture the flag, something that can be played with less players and be more fun.
Seriously, when are we getting new pvp modes? It is going to be 2 years in a few months yet theres just 1 single, boring and repetitive structured pvp mode.
I have been looking for new games with arenas, TESO being fail, wildstar being good but no combat can match the one of this game, such a nice engine and potential not being used.
If you are not up to making new game modes, sell the engine to someone whos willing to make it.
No reason to come back to this game yet.

God maps should be random for each match.
I think more than 90% of the people around the forums is asking for the same thing, but devs still think conquest is the way to go, maybe it is too hard at this stage of the game and they dont have enough people in pvp, like seriously theres a new map around every 3 months, all that work for just ONE map.
Sad part im using fresh air as D/D not glass cannon but neither bunker with excellent results in sPvP, but there’s less burst now from the lightning damage when swapping to air, and less dps since dagger #1 dps is way higher than any other attunement.
Its unacceptable to pay for a game and have this kind of issue which stops you from playing, and for so long.
Unplayable for many many hours now, nearly the whole day, every patch gets worse not sure if it is because old people comes back and saturates the servers or just the servers are bad and getting worse every update.
give a red line like every aoe in game and we will be fine, god even worse skills like ele staff earth 3? The line of rocks no one cares or tries to avoid has a red rectangle on it.
I dont play warrior and i look forward to this change, like seriously, warriors are a joke at least they will be able to do something now against the new condi spam meta.
The 3s internal cooldown for fresh air was actually really nice, now 5s is noticeable higher and this trait wont be as good, at least for myself, im going back to 20 in water and 20 air instead 30 air 10 water since this trait now barely makes any difference.
Sometimes, i can fix my lag resetting my router (and obtaining a new IP). I guess some range of ips might have bad routing or something.

I have been experiencing A LOT of lag lately at some hours (like 1 hour from now, till a few hours from now).
I have used some of my networking knowledge and checking packets capture the lag comes from issues in the tcp connection, the ANET server is sending me many duplicated ACKS (14 tops) forcing a retransmission on most of the packets sent. So im guessing this is an issue mostly on the anet side and not mine. Other friends from the same country (and even same internet provider) as me have no issues though, its getting really annoying.
I have attached the capture file in txt, if any dev is interested. Cant upload a wireshark format file sadly.
Edit: Forgot to mention im from south america, uruguay.

Agree, but even that would not bring more people if the game mode is still conquest and we dont get new game modes.
I’m seriously ready to scream after salvaging 20k worth of PvP Glory.
In fact I’m inclined to create new characters just to open up all the chests for unidentified dyes and glory boosters and just trash all the items by deleting the character so I don’t have to salvage all of this nonsense to clear out my bags.
You can make dyes with the crap you get out of salvaged items O_O Not worth it!

Look at wildstar (also from ncsoft), it kinda stole WoW graphics and GW2 combat system and will come with a full arena system, battlegrounds, and one more type at release, thats how gw2 should have started imho.

Except daze can’t be cleared by condi cleanse that isn’t also a stunbreaker.

Interesting, but killing the same two guys (if 2v2) 5 times to win would be a bit boring. Maybe 2 or 3 times, with some polishing… But interesting indeed
Also, i didnt know about wildstar, seems like they are already starting to copy gw2 combat system and do something decent with it

So much lost potential in this game, it could really be the new WoW or LoL of the year but yet it is worse than WoW’s rated battlegrounds.
Get a hammer warrior to perma stun your target, paired with fear, oh my god!
They cant even add a random map rotation to tPvP instead of a fixed one every few days and you want a whole new game mode =/
I want team death match as much as you and many other people, perhaps if we could make a thread with over 600+ posts of people agreeing on new modes we could call ANET attention, but they just seem to ignore these kind of posts, like “everything is fine no one wants new game modes”.

It has been explained several times why heals/sustain shouldn’t be based on HP instead of Healing Power.
High HP + low Healing Power = tanky (burst is weak) but low sustain
Low HP + high Healing Power = not tanky (burst is strong) but high sustainIf you only need high HP to have both (being tanky and high sustain) what’s the point of Healing Power in the first place?
There is a difference between being tanky and sustain and it should stay that way. Otherwise there would be no real counter to bunker builds if you can have both that easily.
I do agree that warriors still need some kind of buff but definitely not this one.
Healing power would still affect the % healed, but yeah you pretty much explain why it would be a bad idea (and would greatly buff high hp classes)
Lag at this time (and starting at one hour before now) is just unplayable on US servers.
Im playing an ele with cleansing fire and ether renewal, plus dagger #5 and i can hardly keep less than 2 conditions on me when facing a skilled necro or engi. I feel bad for the other class with less removal.
Necro/engi duo is pretty strong atm.
Now theres a need for DR on CC’s, not even stability and stun breakers can save you, there are just too many CCs.
Also condition builds seems to be the new boom of the month, they are getting way too strong, too many conditions to the already nerfed condition removal for most of the classes (except warrior?).
Balance overall was waay better before than after the patch.
