Really. TC Logging in on Sunday morning and seeing this outside our spawn on EBG. Several people outside camping with a ballista, more that were back behind them but weren’t rendering until I went much closer. I know Sanctum owns most of the maps, but this is low.

I think maybe 40 or 60 tokens a lodestone would be a good idea.

Air is my main attune meant but I switch depending on the situation. I’m currently running 30 points in air, 10 in earth, and 30 in arcane. I mostly do WvW, and I was thinking about switching the prec sigil, as I am already at 50% crit. Also, what about runes for armor?

So I’m a D/D Ele, using air ele as my primary element. What digits should I be using on my daggers? I currently have haste on one and +precision per kill on the other. I feel like I should be using something else. Also what about runes? I am currently spewing for Ap, crit, crit dmg + toughness.

I don’t know why people hate on Tears of Grenth. They are cool and very few people have the skin. It would be nice if they had some sort of effect though. One think I like about the daggers is that they are hard to see from range, so people can’t discern what I am.

I’ve currently made x2 Tears of Grenth for my D/D ele, not bad, but it’s definitely a rare skin that very few have.

The only time I’ve seen TSP together outside of FA spawn exits they all laid down at my feet and presented me with their supply camp. :P

I love this spec, and use it now all the time!

I do a ton of damage, have survivability, and get out of dodge before it gets to bad and then run back in after I heal.

Wow, it’s been fun. Our guild has been trying to run counter-interference and have lead some of the sieges.

Our guild is TSP. Oh, and I’m the Ele that has killed many FA, and who has been chased across half the map by some guilds from that server. XD

Although, I was kinda mad you guys took down my treb when we were trying to take you keep last night on the FA Borderlands >.<

Just made Tear of Grenth last night.

It is way cheaper and looks exactly the same.

I think it was nuts when DA breached one side of EH and FA was almost breached on the other, and then came together and fought. DA almost had me, I was the last one in the fort attacking FA. I had to run through FA to survive!

To Fort Aspenwood and Dragonbrand, thanks for the fight last night.

Holding out against you guys in EH was so much fun.

Does anyone know if these exotics are bind on use or bind to character?

I really want to know what this looks like on a player. Thinking of crafting 2 for my D/D Ele.

Banning the mailing of gold will not solve the problem, it will only hinder the use of legitimate traders and people who like to give/receive gold from friends, etc.

I currently do most of my business on the TP. On occasion, like this weekend, I’ll buy from a guy posting his wares on map chat. This for me is a good thing, to be able to by and sell items, not only on the TP, but also from other people via the mail system to occasionally save a few silver.

A lot of my friends play GW2, but not all of them are in my guild. Even on top of that, anyone in the guild I’m in is able to withdraw money/mats. The problem with my friends and I using the bank for cash is if someone is at the GB, they are free to withdraw the gold, and whats to stop them? I love the mailing system for this. One week I’ll borrow 3g, then I’ll repay or let him borrow 5g, etc. I love being able to do this, why should I have this taken away from me? Again, it’s not fair to the majority of the players, because of a few abusers.

Why are people still talking about the moa going away?

The moa isn’t going away, it may get a slight change, but it is not going away.

As a mesmer (leveling a necro), AOE will be your friend.

We have many utilities to reflect damage, sneak away, and to regen health.

AOE is the secret to taking down a mesmer.

Oh, and FYI, you can evade from being moa’d if you evade at the right time.

Most mesmers will moa when they first run at you to try to beat you down. I would suggest using your evading skills when you first enter battle as much as possible.

Also, if you are fighting and you see a large purple circle around the mesmer. Run, just run.

I get what your saying, I do. However, I would be obstinately opposed to reducing the damage on phantasms.

Why you ask? Phantasms are supposed to be a source of high damage for us. Thats their purpose, to do damage. They are fine the way they are.

What we need is a buff to mind wrack’s shatter damage. Currently, the damage is very low, even when traited. It needs a little bit of a buff.

No, there special “feature” is to glow only at night.

Portal is fine. I don’t get why people say it is op. It is VERY situational and is usually not on my toolbar unless I know I might get in a situation that needs it.

So what I get from this thread is…

1. Moa should be fixed so it doesn’t cancel out elite skills.
2. Moa should not cancel out any pets.
3. Sorrow is bad.

No. It makes no sense for the portal to be destroyable. The whole intent of the portal is for your friends (team) to have the ability to be in one are and then port to another.

Basically, it’s working as intended.

I’m having the exact same issue. My friends are getting 60, I get 40. They get 20, I get 15.

Then I ran Catacombs and only received 6 for the first run. Only 6!

I expect to be compensated. Dungeons have been bugged ever since the patch.

Moa, while powerfull, is not OP, is not uber leet, and is not used by all mesmers.

The fact is, moa is a powerful elite skill. You should not be able to break out of it, because of the fact it’s an elite skill with a long cooldown, and is personally only used when the other team only has a really good guardian that we need to lock down.

Otherwise, Time Warp is generally more used in PVP, and if you get moa’d and possibly killed, sorry, but too bad. My warrior friend gets angered easily by mesmers but the fact is, he thinks he can just charge in and bash their brains in without any issues because he’s a mighty warrior, and this guy has been playing mmo’s for years.

TL;DR: Mesmers are not op, we provide utility to a group. Most of our abilities have a long CD, so get over it.

This is the problem with all reasonable discussion about balance. There is always at least one person who makes a random comment of the worst case possible scenario which almost never happens and then ends it with a lol /troll.

I try to mostly ignore and move on.

You seem as if every situation results in a mesmer winning a fight, which is not true. Mesmer’s main damage is about conditions. Mesmers are also masters of illusions and have many utilities to get out of situations. Sometimes they are used to retreat, and sometimes if the offender doesn’t know what he’s doing, he can be obliterated.

It really comes down to skill and various other factors (health at the time, if your going against a group, etc.).

When I play my mesmer, there are a few people I’m not going to pick a fight with, if it’s risky, I’m not going to risk it, thats being smart. However, there are a few classes 1v1 I know I can obliterate, especially when I get the jump. There are even those that are just good at there class that normally I would obliterate but it usually ends because either one of us makes a wrong move.

I’ve obliterated every class, and I’ve been obliterated by every class.

There is nothing wrong with the mesmer class. Those complaining that the class is too weak don’t know how to utilize the mesmer skill set. Those that complain that is op generally lose to mesmers. And then there are the trolls that claim everything is op and provide no sustenance to the conversation.

Mesmers are pretty balanced. The only thing I can see them changing is making the Moa not cancel out players when they are using their elite ability or canceling their pets that are already out after they’ve been moa’d.

It’s easy to understand if you play multiple classes, like I do. It’s ignorant to assume just because one plays a mesmer, his view is always one sided.
