Unfortunately I can’t see a full traceroute here which makes this difficult to troubleshoot. Have you tried bypassing your router and connecting directly to the modem via Ethernet cable so that you’re able to eliminate both a wireless connection and your router from being the cause of the issue?
Ultimately I’d recommend getting in contact with your ISP to see if there’s anything that they’re able to do for you as this is usually the cause of this particular error.
I have taken on all standard procedures with the anet tech team. They concluded it is due to server hopping which isn’t a fault on neither the player’s nor anet’s. :/
Game can’t be played at all. Getting “dishonored” for pvp for these error 7s that I have no control over. Server keeps hopping to another galaxy and back. Anet tech said it’s not a problem on their end, neither is it on our’s…

Anybody noticed there’s no tech response thus far? We’d really like to hear from them… This is frustrating. I’ve even tried the port forwarding solution. Doesn’t work one bit. No problem with all my other online games. Only this. Got so bad at one point, I was disconnected within seconds of connecting into the game. I even toned down all graphics to test it out. Same outcome.

Talked with an anet tech about this, gaev him my report. He said it is due to “server hopping” that keeps DCing me. Problem is…he said it’s neither anet’s nor the player’s fault… So I have not the slightest clue how to go about fixing this or who do go to for this _

Every other games I play seem to be stable except gw2. Been like this for over a year now.

Not sure if their lags and DCs extend over to all areas of the game as well (WvW, PvE, etc), but I am experiencing these 2 conditions are stalking me everywhere I go in the game.
Constant error 7s ever since patch. No matter where I am, WvW, sPvP, dead map in PvE, etc.
Every 5 minutes. Wot even.
Only happens with Guild Wars 2.
We have a stable internet as well. New router, etc.
I have been getting constant error 7s ever since few days ago. Happens every 10 to 15 minute. Everything else that requires net is running smoothly except gw2. I play lots of online games, and gw2 is the first online game I am always having net issues with.
Same here from Darkhaven, every 15 minutes, it is either error 7 or 42 for the past few days. I am able to run everything else that requires net smoothly, but when it comes to gw2, it proves otherwise.
Back in beta if the target was stealthed after you started the finishing move, the stomp would go through. Obviously they decided the current mechanic was the better one to use.
Why do wurms even have buffs on them when you cant damage them when they end? We tried to kill glitched wurm and couldn’t…which i think shows he was already dead…
Do I do report here are there no more support tickets?
I want to reiterate that we will continue to watch the numbers and change them as we see fit. Obviously we don’t want to punish people with poor internet, but players who consistently disconnect should expect to gain dishonor. Disconnecting is no different than leaving. If you have disconnected twice in one night, you should probably take a break until your internet is more stable before trying to play more.
Problem is that it is not always the case on our end but instead, on Anet’s end.
If you return to a match after a disconnect or switch classes, you will not gain dishonor.
We are always watching ‘the numbers’ and have the ability to change the variables of dishonor as we see fit. If we think lowering one number or raising another will reduce the amount of leavers and afk players, then we will certainly do it.
What if you are unable to reconnect to GW2 before the game ends after a DC?
I just so happened to have been disconnected during a solo que tourney 2 days ago and was unable to reconnect due to error 7 (black screen) and 35 (white screen) consecutively.
By the time I reconnected, I have been banned from pvp tourneys for 1 day+ with the debuff, dishonored. I only ever wasn’t able to finish a game once.
1.) I love leveling in general, but levels in GW2 almost seem lackluster when they just get scaled up and down depending on the content; so they might as well be removed or give more meaning to them.
2.) Player-housing system and Guild hall!
3.) Build-Templates. (allows you to conveniently and swiftly change builds)
4.) Wardrobe for skins. Once you obtain it, you unlock it for the rest of your toons on that account.
5.) Make personal stories have a bigger impact in the game and make us feel more heroic than our NPCs; I feel merely as a mercenary for these heroic NPCs.
6.) Vanity progression
7.) “Add some traditional “!” quests with fun/unique rewards.”

8.) Enhance the value of old contents
9.) More diverse builds
10.) Make skills more fun and challenging to obtain.
11.) Make achievements feel more like real achievements. (Kill 1000 this, 1000 that, etc.; errrrrr…. That lack of depth to these achievements ._.) Some of the more time-requiring achievements such as finishing 500 fotms award not even a title whereas there is a title for pressing F 25 times (Title: Finders Keepers). Make these achievements more challenging, worthwhile and reasonable to do. And no, that does not mean boost to Kill 1000000 of that. The state of achievements at the moment is merely a grind-fest for the most part.
12.) Make dynamic events more rewarding. I don’t see much player-activity in these dynamic events anymore.
13.) Make non-zerk builds more viable in PvE. Non-zerk builds are as rare as precursors in the land of Tyria.
14.) RNG, horrible and not proportional across game contents. (Eg. WvW meta chest… most of us could have gotten all the same value of loots from that chest by farming a few champs in beginner’s zone, Queensdale)
16.) Aesthetics (skins) and achievement points as main rewards? (Looking back at Living Stories’ rewards). Anet, you can do better!
18.) Higher tier gears should have more functions that give them more depth and clear-cut advantages.
19.) “Give legendary weapons backstories/lore to make them feel more legendary (dunno what can be done for the unicorn launcher though). Also make them un-tradeable in the marketplace.”

I was unable to participate in viewing GW2’s livestream this afternoon and was hoping I would be able to catch up with what I missed via video history, but I was not able find a recorded version of today’s stream.
Is it being uploaded at the moment? I realized there were many technical difficulties today during stream on Anet’s end, so if the recorded version isn’t going to be available, may you (Anet) or any of the viewers sum up or provide highlights from the stream?
December 10th changes are nerfing Bunker ele’s because Anet doesn’t want them to heal.
But your basic bunker class is 0, 10, 0, 30, 30
I’ve even seen 0, 15, 0, 25, 30
But any more diversified bunker build will no longer exist after nerf since any good traits are being moved up in tier- so if you wanted to have like 30 in fire or earth while having only 10 in water for cleansing wave, you won’t be able to do that so it will either be Super Squish or Broken Bunker after dec 10th nerf.
Atleast that is how I feel.
Okay, so before we get too far into this discussion, here is something else to think about:
Would you rather see us make some number of small improvements in the short term and larger changes long term or just tear the whole thing down and start from scratch?
To be a bit more specific, we could probably do something like multicolor markers without too much work, although it is not a given, but that would likely be the extent of things for a long period of time.

This relates to living story vs expansion to an extent; if we had to choose between the two, expansion is a more popular decision due to (besides the obvious, permanent contents) how much more depth it would bring to the game all at once.
