The hilarity here is, AR doesnt kick in untill the engineer is below 25% and stops workin at or above 25%.
Thats a very low healthpool to be sitting on, a bit of direct-damage presure will punch through that easily. So if youre condition necro wants to deal with it, itll have to pick up some power/precision.

Its the same hilarity here with traits that proc things like extra conditions on crit, people complain about these aswell.

And then they turn around and complain condition builds only need condition-damage. When traits like AR and condition-on-crit are exactly why conditions builds dont need just condition damage.

But the biggest joke here is that this build isnt even new, its been around since forever but never had a chance to work before. Untill the meta shifted.

Right now there arent any cond-builds running def stats because toughness only helps very little. Either you get melted by conds (yay toughness) or being hold in stunlock, yay i survive 10s more with high toughness aka. just eating some more cc. When you’re focused by 3 guys toughness doesnt help at all.. Thats why you see most mesmer running without IoL. You need 2stunbreaks + port/invi. Same reason s/d is popular, you can change placement while stunned. Same reason you see 6/10 running lyssa. With the conds being spammed the removal isnt enough, so you jus take them completely down once and pressure the enemy so hard that he has to stop the spamming and use cds for defense.

Oh and btw.: ya engi bunker was around for a long time, but earlier you had signet ranger who actually killed ppl 1v1 and held a decent amount of time 1v2 and pre-ranger you had bunker-eles.

This trait is, along with others, just bad design… This game by now consits of passive skills / passive traits / immunity skills / aoe condis / aoe stun / undodgeable on-crit blasts / stealth and a lot of cleave dmg, while the aoe skills are braindead spamming.

I did read the title, that’s what confused me.

Bunker engineers don’t have any on-crit traits because they have a 4% crit chance. Nor do they take aoe conditions (except for sometimes bomb kit in the really niche bunker engineer builds).

Bunker engis spam cc’s while beeing hard to take down due to 3 passives. No conds under 25% health, less dmg while stunned (not sure, was about 20%), and protection (5s afaik) when they get cc’ed. +perma vigor aka. braindead evade spamming, means a lot of luck dodges…

If Anet wants to improve the pvp they need to either go with another gamemode, so you can play more supporters (playing support while constantls splittig is awful) or tone down the dmg by flat 25%, remove a lot of aoe, make conds longer with higher cd (so that removing actually makes sense), remove on-crit traits (since they’re not predictable) and make non-dmg conds more important (like rework blind). Oh and btw. stun skills need higher cd. Having a stunbreak on ~30s cd while the other one got like 6 stuns/kb/kd in the same time seems strange…

Tbh im not that happy about mesmer changes, they dont adress the major problem imho, you cant get a decent cond remove while having decent dmg. I mean its a soft class, when you look at others (ele/necro), they got at least 1heal with condi remove in it… Thats why I’d like to see shattered condis moved to master, that way you could get deceptive evasion, illu persona and some cond remove, while loosing 20% MW dmg and boon remove on shatter (compared to the 0815 shatter-build) → more sustain less dmg = what the game needs

Reduced cd of illusionary invigoration is awesome!

The changes to mantra traits are a nice try, but i guess it wont work out, the cast time stays too long…

I dont like the changes to phantasm mes, we dont need more actual fighting AI… At least shatter mes kills his illus himself and quickly..

You can just react to your opponent. Try bursting him when he swaps away from the evasion set.

Also consider how reliant these classes are on their dodges to be effective. Without then the game will suffer from serious balance issues.

The point is to use the dodge for the immobilize, not just to eat the immobilize and dodge then. It makes evading simple and braindead. Of course they should stay in game, that’s not the question

Anet can you please fix all those hillarious skilldodges? Why are you able to evade in immobilize via skilldodges but not normal ones? It makes a lot of classes so easy to play (rangers, thiefs, mesmers, even warriors got one on gs).

Despite the logical reason to not being able to avoid something while being stucked to one spot, there’s another. For example rangers dont care about immob, they’re happy about it. If you know that you’ll get spiked in immobilize you eat in on purpose, because afterwards you just evade the whole dmg instead of a non-damaging immobilize. Evades are meant to predict or react to enemy skills and the skilldodges are just cheap panic-buttons…

Shatter was always viable with some tweaks to the utilities, which means at max. 1 team utility. But if you run 1 or even no team utility there is no reason to bring a mesmer over a thief

Ya they would be at the top again. But why should you allways use the nerf-bat? Imho spirit rangers and necros are in a good apot right now (necro probably a bit too good, but with 1-2 little adjustments they’d be perrfect). The build variety is very low and this doesnt effect the power of the old shatter-mesm. So even if condis get nerfed, people would probably still run the more deffensiv build with more sustain (espically since shattered conds is a aoe cond remove)

Yep you could do that. Or you just bring a thief who is faster between spots, can survive longer, deals probably not that much dmg but also a lot, still has 1 teamutility and can win every 1v1 situation. The only reason to bring a mesmer (it always was) are their team-utilities…

And pls stop this “when conds get nerfed mesmer are top again”. You would still have very very hard times against waris and thiefs. And this change wouldnt affect the old shatter build. So if conds get nerfed you could directly jump on the old build, but now you would be able to play a viable mesmer in the condi-mess..

I think we can all agree, that right now shatter mesmer is not viable. Some guys might be happy about it but imho mesmer brings a lot to the game, mostly because portal can turn around a game. Mesmer makes a match more interesting due to the possibilities he has. That said, here are my thoughts how to bring mesmer back in line.

The 0815-Shatterbuild was/is 20/20/0/0/30, the main traits are increased MW dmg 20%, boonremove on shatter, illu on dodge and Illu Persona. For some decent cond remove in a Shatter-build you need 30 in Inspiration (4th Trait-line). To get it you have to drop all in Domination (20% MW-dmg, boonremove on shatter) and 10 points in duelling or in illusions. If you drop duelling you wont have Illus on Dodge, or in other words, no shatter. If you drop 10 in illusions you loose Illu Persona, which is a must have (espically w/o 20% MW dmg).

What I want from Anet is to bring Shattered Conditions (1 Condi removed per Shatter, not per Illu) to a Master-Trait in Inspiration, instead of a Grandmaster-Trait. With 30 in Illusions you would be able to remove about 10 condis in 50s (not that much). To get 20 in Inspiration you would have to drop the 20 in Domination, which means no more 20% dmg on MW and no boonremove on shatter. This change would decrease the dmg of a shatter build a lot. So now you do less dmg but can survive better against condis. But, you would still die quite fast due to bersi. You need bersi because w/o it and w/o 20% on MW (or even with) Shatter does laughable dmg. So here comes my second suggestions.

Increase the Base-dmg on MW (only a little bit) but change how it scales with crit-dmg (decrease it more than the base-dmg increase. The whole chang is quite difficult, probably impossible I guess, since the crit-dmg scales with every skill the same). I want this change because a mesm on bersi amu can deal such insane dmg, in fights the mesmer turns into a 1-trick-pony. With this change, Mesmer would probably get away from bersi-amus (the benefits you get would be much smaller) and move more to a sustainable, team supporting class with the possibility to hold up in a 1v1 for a decent amout of time, like the warrior does right now, just w/o the annyoing stuns, but with annoying confusion

i guess i played against him too. had a wari in the enemie team who teleportet around at ~200 range only. Thought it were lags first but when their guardian ressed him, he had to broke the ress and move to the new place after a laggportal… felt a bit strange

deff ele has been nerfed hard about two or tree month ago, most eles switched on a dmg build. to go for true dmg you need 2 arcanes or at least one… flash is another must have skill on dmg ele. this means that they run w/o stunbreak on a bers or valk amulet. since the flash gets wasted with the first spike they cant do anything against perma immobilizing thiefs…

-> true dmg no longer viable

our ele even tried soldier, its pretty awesome for 1v1 but doesnt help that much in teamffight. phantaram actually said it quiet nice. xeph had so switch on thief cuz they werent able to babysit a mesmer anymore. the roles shifted, xeph taking care of phatnaram but even on the thief you cant do much against perma teleporting thiefs + the condi spam… so phant switched on nec.

So we see dmg ele is very very hard to play atm. Now deff ele was viable pre patch BUT (the following can be applied to mesmers aswell):

1. Some classes got buffed hard (dmg wise) while ele and mesmer kept untouched. With this dmg overload yiu cant handle such glassy classes which cant just port out of fight immediatley or fear the kitten out of anyone attacking them. With this dmg-buff deff eles became unviable due to the pre patch nerf (which was right at this point)…

2. For some classes builds were found to match perfectly in the meta. Why should you bring a Mesmer when you can get a ranger. Atm the ranger brings the better rezz, and so many team utilities while still being a decent 1v1 class. Mesmer is just shining with his portal but you can only use it offensive, because you wont win any 1v1 (probably vs. thief). And what is a offensive portal for if you loose the teamfight anyway. The s/d thief replaces the ele. Same or even better survivability and quicker between points

So, imho you can still play mesmer and ele but mistakes will be punished much harder while plaxing perfectly doesnt bring a real advantage….

The dmg in this game is way to high right now.. Nec and thief can take down a bunker guard in seconds, anert has to take a step back and nerf condindmg overall. Direct dmg is very high too but at least good avoidable (not talking about annoying stealth openers) and not that spammable.

Will the pvp Leadboard get resetted with the upcoming patch? A lot of people dropped in the Leadboards due to yoloq, that’s one of the reason the rank doesnt mean much. A reset would also kick out all the inactive players (didnt find any info about it, so sorry if it’s stated somewhere)..

Imho nec are the bigger problem than asuras (dont get me wrong, atm nec is pretty much okay, fears are still a bit too powerfull, but no OT here)

Do they even have different animations? It feels like every single nec-skill looks the same. The marks itself look completely the same. If you could properly see which mark does fear you, it would be much better…. Same for corrupt boon or signet of spite for example. the signet just looks like an autoattack…

Guild Wars is a very different game from Guild Wars 2. I understand the sentiment (I myself was a Guild Wars player, Spearmen 44/50!), but we did not build a new game to be just like an old one. While we can certainly gain inspiration from it, comparing the two skill systems is not very helpful because they are vastly different.

Then why call it Guild Wars?

Are you serious? That can’t be serious response at all. When people make a sequel to a movie if they want it to be successful they don’t make the exact same movie. You continue story lines draw inspiration but you don’t want it to be a remake you want it to be reimagined (see recent Batman movies and recent Man of Steel)

If we look at games you can get away with sequels that are pretty much the same game with a 2 on it for a little while. Eventually people find it old or they feel ripped off I am talking about yearly releases like Call of Duty, Madden, Street Fighter 2 (insert several variations of the same game with new characters)

If GW2 was GW1 with shiny new graphics people would play it enjoy it but if you want to last you have to make the sequel different enough from the original especially if you want to draw in new players.

Sorry, but this is just senseless bashing.

You knew that lot will be different. No holy trinity, a massive faster combat. There were plenty of information before the game was released. And srsly you cant split skills with such a low pvp-playerbase. That was the problem in gw1, you acutally had to learn 2 games, which isnt fun. Espically not, if you just get stomped into the ground from all the cheesy builds.

Not splitting makes the game newbiefriendly what is very important. There are some problems with the balance sure, but you dont have to split almost every single skill and trait.

And probably the new skills/traits will bring some better stuff

Ways for a mesmer to remove conditions (rounded up or close 30 seconds);

1.Remove two conditions every 30 seconds (using mirror as heal every 15 seconds)
2.Remove two conditions every 25 seconds (using two torch skills)
3.Remove ALL conditions from ALL allies every 36 seconds and remove ALL boons from ALL foes (Null Field)
4.Remove a condition from you and ALL your allies every time you shattered (shattered conditions)
5.Remove ALL conditions every 90 seconds (using runes of Lysa)
6.Remove two conditions every 20 seconds (Mantra of Resolve)

Remember when Elementalists were not viable? Bunker Ele came.
Remember when Thieves got nerfed extremely hard? Sustained Thief came.
Remember when Warriors got nerfed extremely hard? CC Warrior came.
Remember when Necromancers were not viable? Condition Necro came.

Fact is that all mesmers in TPvP are like wet cats. They want to do everything great, excel in all roles without risk. The class itself can produce an outstanding amount of power-condition-support builds or a little bit of all.

PS: Remove cast-time on mantra on resolve.

Im going to respond with this post to the quoted and the previous one…

The only reason to bring a Mesmer is its utility and the not too bad dmg, if shatter actually hits (if you hit a real shatter combo your target is insta-gibbed, but who doesnt dodge when there are 8 or even 9 illus towards you..). If you now change the Mesmer traits or utilities for condition remove, you better take any other class, acutally just take another class. When you dont change, you will be useless in the curent meta, if you change other classes can do your job better.

The shatter build is pretty much the same since release, because you simply need the traits you can get with 70 points.

You need 20 points Dom for 20% MW-DMG and Boon removal (at LEAST 10 for Mental Torment)
You need 20 points for deceptive evasion (no illus no shatter)
You need 30 points for IP (no IP = instagib and because the trait is strong)

So you can probably spend 10 points somewhere else, probably in inspi for menders purity. Means 1 cond remove every 20s. yay! (you could acutally bring sigil of purity!)

-> You cant get enough cond remove with the current build. So what to do?

Change it completely to a support? Why should you? There’s no need for support right now, because in the current meta its just the question “who kills quicker?” You could play complete deff ele and guard and would get destroyed in seconds due to this cond meta. Yay, lets support my teams with boons, oh wait!, they will just get more condis ’cuz of the nec and die even faster. Acutally our guard is very carefull with using stability for this reason. Using stability is the fastet way to get caught in a fear chain.

If you play a cond Mesmer w/o support, its senseless because of nec/engie. If you say, well lets do less dmg and more sustain in a shatter build, by taking out Mental Torment (means 0 in Dom = 20% Dmg on MW get lost) you can get 20 into Inspi, but beside Menders purity the traits which you can choose in master tier are crap and even if you could get more cond remove, the Mesmer would get picked. Need sustain? Take a s/d thief! Faster than a Mesmer, harder to kill than a Mesmer while acutally still brining the team utility with stealth…

Mesmer right now is pretty much unviable imho. At least when you fight against top100 teams. There is a reason why Xeph and Adeera changed to thief, it fills a pretty similar role while just being much better at it.

Imho the biggest balance issue is the various easy to play builds. It’s ridiculous that some guys pick up a necro or a spirit ranger, roll their face over the keyboard and are able to win vs. others who play their class near perfect. The kitteny thing is, that those guys dont get punished if a neff comes in, they just switch to the next flavor of the month op build.

When BM ranger came up (the old one) a lot of ppls switched on it and they easily won most 1v1 just because its face rolling. Same thing for Mesmers 8 months ago. Its a easy to pick up class. You can play an effective Mesmer after 5h of practice. As soon as you play vs. better opponents you need do adapt, because every1 dodges your spikes. Thats the point where you can actually spot good mesmers because they can set gheir spike properly and close to instant, but that needs a lot of time. I mean there are not many mesmers left, afaik even xeph switche on thief

yeah and people who actually like the class – like for me thief – miss depths to the class. i would love to have so many tools like for example an elementalist or an engineer but im stuck on a class that is best while spamming 2-3 buttons. yeah i could reroll, but for that i like the class too much and my team needs me on the thief.

Actually thief is another topic. The initiative system was probably the biggest mistake anet ever did. There’s no reason to use other skills the best 2 when you can spam them (heartseeker anyone? tripe evade on shortbow, port spam on shortbow, evade+boonsteal on sword). For example, if a Mesmer wants to escape you have to use knockbacks, cripples, pulls, swiftness. Thief? Just port the kitten out of it.

Imagine an ele who could spam phoenix or rtl multiple times.

Whe Im at it anyway here are some more issues:

Some classes miss combofields and finishers. The only combofields a Mesmer has are chaos – ya thats sooo cool. Combofields and finishers should be splitted trough classes. So you actually need teamplay for nice combos that would bring deeper gameplay.

To stack stealth you just need an engi and a thief, but why the kitten is a thief the best combofield stacker with clusterbomb when he has aoe stealth anyway? why dont you give more blast finiahers to other classes so you can play.around a thief with engi+another class who provides blast finishers. Ele has them – on staff, yay. So instead you get a thief who can A just pop an aoe 10s stealth and B stack stealth with engi like no1 else. Give blast finishers to wari maybe

1. thing that i probably hate the most atm are skilldodges while immobilized. Why the kitten is it possible to evade while not able to move. s/d thief spam evade. When you play against them and actually catch the with a well timed immobilize – well kitten it, just switch on shortbow and evade the kitten. So ppl who play bad and get immobilized dont get punished, that sucks. You can evade an immobilize but even if you dont – doesnt matter dude. Same thing for ranger and BF on mesmer. Pls punish ppl for bad playing!

sure they would. But you have to actually learn it! You couldnt just switch on the next op build and be as effective as effective as before. I play Mesmer for 10 months now, but there can come a Nec with 50 matches and stomp me into the ground, just because its so easy. Nec gets nerfed? Np switch on spirit ranger and stomp everyone again without knowing what you’re actually doing. Sure ranger is a better 1v1 class. And a hih skilled ranger has to stomp me, but he doesnt even have to be good. He doesnt even need to evade ileap cuz he can evade while immobilized and evade the whole shatter. It’s just braindead

Make stealth break on ANY skill use and remove/limit the stackability via combo fields/finishers.
There. Balanced.

Or better, remove stealth altogether.

If you let it break on every skill, only shadow refuge would provide a longer stealth then ~5s. Not bad imho, you just dont need to balance the stackability since you use mostly a skill in stealth to stack.

This grandmaster trait is completely broken. The internal cd doesnt work, eles can switch like every 3secs to air, and deal 2k with the attunement switch!

PLS FIX QUICK!!

btw. tested it with a mate. the internal cd should be 5s. but we tried it with the cd of lighting strike (also 5s cd). he did lightning strike, instantly switched to another attunement and when he switched back to air lightning strike was still on cd = switch took less then 5s….

Yup, cuz 3 illus running towards you is instant

And even if you ileap+mirror images, its quite obvious if you get immobilized. As soon as you let a mesmer into melee-range its your bad…

One of the biggest issues is, that you get more rank with braindead hotzerg then with tournaments. Another problem is imho, that you get rank anyway. It doesnt matter if you play good or bad, if you help your team or not. In GW1 the rank meant something (not talking about the last 3 years, but the first 3), because you actually had to WIN to get rank and the more matches you won (in a row), the harder the enemies got. Why are so many guys in the spvp forum complaining about wvw and 1v1s?

Srsly in a 1v1 you wouldnt get away from a mesmer or thief anyway except for eles, which have massive cleanse so doesnt matter that much… In a teamfight thiefs are hurted the most, because they rely on movement the most (warrs probably more but i’d say this wont be the major problem for their unviability…). I mean where is the point of stealth when you musnt move? Btw. is there information about CD of torment skill, mybe it wont affect the whole game as much as supposed..

I’ll tell you why the nerf would be bad. The only usefull thing Mesmers has on the sword/x weaponset is blurred frenzy and swiftness/iduellist…

iLeap is not bad though but its bugged and every half-decent player dodges it. So you switch to your sword/x set cuz your staff skills got 15s cd+ (except phase retreat). With the chagne you would be 8s long forced into melee w/o any reliable source of boons which means you would be kitten. With the cd right now you can use it twice, so you got a chance to survive, thats it. Right now the cd and the disto uptime is right. A. its easy to dodge & B. while the channek you can easely set up a spike. stop qqing

People saying Swap is easy to detect are underestimating how disorienting it can be to deal with multiple illusions. The Swap flash in particular is very similar to shatter. Good players will still generally see it because of the initial Illusionary Leap cast, but calling it as obvious as Bull’s Charge is far-fetched.

But you know that a Mesmer gerts a sign such as a boon when hr uses illu leap? So just wait for a purple kitten in his boon-bar and dodge… Seems like forum is full ppl w/o clue.
Mesmer is a light armor class that has access to almost no boon. Best is probably 5s prot all 15s… The heals and condi clear trait are ridiculous cuz to make them usefull you need deceptive evasion which is an offense trait. So we’re forced for offense atm. Now take the only deff. skill in the whole build from a light armor class in melee. byebye mesmerz

It’s not only about the pet. Many BM-Rangers run tripple signet. Heard something about passive signet effects buffs or wut? And on the top many cd decreases…

Bullkitten. After the patch a shatter-mesmer (most played) has two choices while holding a node. A: Don’t use distortion and die immediatley or B: Use distortion and loose the node immediatley…

The point in calling something OP is, that its possible to actually be OP!!! When we’re talking about OP eles, we’re talking about the possibility of being OP, because there is such a load of synergy. Its like saying to thief-haters, “no the burst is not OP, because we have to spec for it!” kitten?
So please stop with that, most ppl say ele is op, because they got the kittening possibility to be OP and use it.

I just roll a Guard, bunker Symbol Build, with 10/0/30/30/0,Divinity Runes,Cleric amulet with 14k health, using GS/ Mc/Shield. First time playing a Guard, FIRST TIME ever, and I can hold against 3 player (1 thief,1 Engine. 1Eles) pretty relaxing for like 5 mins bf going down… A thing that I could never achieve with my Eles… And peop,e complain Eles being unkillable and too much healing. I could do so much more with Guard, passive and active Health Generation (Virtues), Shout give Boons and Heal and removes Condition,dodge give heal, Mace 2 give heal and Active Healing Skill.Elite Trait to Reset Virtues for Constant Regeneration. Compare to this much healing, and they complain Eles healing too much. Using the same Cleric Amulet, I think my Guard is Outheal my Eles way much more

Okay. Now try to kill some1 (decent) in a 1v1. Try do rush from mid to side node in less than 10 seconds. Try to engage when you’re near death while 2 guys try to catch you. Try share offensive and defensive boons with your mates. Show me your ~5 combofields and blast finisher (not sure how many actually)… I dont care if an Ele can hold vs. 3 baddies for 5minutes, but I care when the ele engages after 2mins and is back 15 secs later with full hp…

The re-engage part is done much faster by thieves, so not sure what is left that you’re complaining about…

Guardians have quite enough bubbles and combofields too (show me a d/d ele with 5 different combofields pls).

Tell me which basic boons an Ele is sharing that a shout guardian (as in example above) isn’t sharing, keeping in mind only one boon is shared from an Ele at a time, which is on attunement (and this has to be specced).

People here a mix matching the best of all Ele weapons, while disregarding that an Ele can only use one weapon set at any given time…

It’s like saying “Oh the range of the thief is so OP combined with the high damage and teleports, combofields and conditions they can stack on you while being stealthed”

1. You can force a thief within 10seconds to engage. Ele takes, lets say 1m30s?
2. As I said, wasnt sure about quantity, just had the time to check and I’m sorry for this mistake, there are “only” 2 firefields + 2 Blast finisher on earth… While the guard has 3 Lightfields, but the radius i like 10x smaller than eles combofields…
3. It’s not only about active traited sharing. It’s also about s/d ele with 4 blast finishers, which means for example 12 stacks of might for 20seconds (+30 % boon duration on himself) (or 20secs AOE-Retal with guard or 6k AOE-heal with rangers healing spring, while bein on valk etc.) in an acceptable radius. not bad umm? Or why do you think is it the ele who stacks swiftness at the beginning of the match?

It’s not about beein bunkerish and sharing boons or getting a lot of might trough combos. The problem ist that eles are just so freaking fast while having the other things too. They just got one ability to much and that makes them OP.

You cant implement this in gw2. Its way to fast paced. For example putting a spirit bond on the right one in a effect firework with loads of AI an porting, stealthing, doding or rtling mates is almost impossible.

What they could do to make it possible would be nerfing burst and bunker so there are only hybrids. Then you could give everyone a role. 1 supporter, 1 for cc, 1 for pressure and 2 dps’er for spiking low targets (just exapmles you could also get 3 for aoe pressure to let the enemies die slwoly but all together). Of course the cc’er could still do some dmg and a dpser would have some pressure to bring some targets low.. I hope you get my point.

Right now thats just not possible due to extrem bunker and burst

Is Mesmer Shatter bugged again?

At the moment some mesmer are using 3 shatter in the same combo in this way:

  • Create a 2 clone with staff
  • Change in sword and cast Illusionary Leap (Skill 3) and recast with swap (again skill 3)
  • Than they are in melee and use Blurred Frenzy (Skill 2) and shatter with Diversion (F3) in this way you are dazed for about 2 seconds gaining 10 stacks of vulnerability.
  • Than they use two utilities: Mirror Images and Decoy.
  • They shatter again with Mind Wrack (F1).
  • They shatter with (F2) just to add more damage.

And they do all of this during blurred frenzy. Anyway with this combo they use 2 breackstuns.

Afaik Mirror Images breaks the bf channel ‘cuz you get reposotioned… Same problem with Mirror Images while carrying orb.. If you use the skill you’ll drop the orb, ’cuz you make a little side-teleport..

Just wanted to add something to those huge midfighfs where an engie turns everything cuz of his aoe condis: If any class except ele or guard is standing on the mid node for more than the 5seconds they need to place their burst, they deserve to die… There’s a reason why most gc builds got a ranged weapon.. And all this bullkitten about warris being better against hgh-engies in teamfights, ae you serious?! These 6 condi-removal are ridiculous since engies stack them so fast and a mesmer can take down those 25might stacks with 1 proper shatter..

So please jportell stop spreading this false information. hgh-engies are a bit too much right now, the boon stacking is okay, the duration isnt. this is the 3rd viable engie-build, please anet dont stomp it into the ground like the others. i dont want to hear our engie qqing again, ty. btw. i play mesmer

Hey guys.

Since Anet doesn’t like to balance classes so that actual build variety exist, they could include a flux like in GW1. For those who didn’t play GW1 in the last 2 years: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Flux

And for those who don’t like to read the whole article a short explanation. Flux in GW1 is a PvP effect that changes every month and effect all players. Some examples for recent fluxes:

Take double DMG from enemies with the same class.

For each allied player in earshot, you deal 5% less damage. For each opposing player in earshot, you deal 5% more.

If you heal yourself, you receive 50% more healing. If you heal an ally, they receive 20% less healing.

You can avoid it by typing the page you want into the URL, not a real solution, but till its fixed..

Over the course of the next week or two, we’ll continue to expand and show more players, and add new search features once each feature set is stabilized.

When you are browsing the EU ladders and you go fastly throught the pages, it will take you to the NA leaderboard without asking. If you dont realize they moved you to NA, you will never find yourself. it’s very annoying also, because you have to go back to page1”

You can avoid that by typing the page you want into the URL. Not a real solution but till its fixed..

Internal confusion cd would probably do it. Can only proc once every 3 seconds same fof retal. Otherwise it punishes multi-hit skills or fast attacks with low dmg so as sb ranger.

Guild Wars 2 is just insane. Its just absolutely insane. No one has this amount of time.

I’m pretty sure even the most dedicated players will either just use an exploit or hack it to get to 80. I mean realistically, I could learn to code, hack this game, and be rank 80 in a shorter time than it would take me to complete this.(not that I would ever.).

If you aren’t going to make spvp a highlight of gw2 AT LEAST MAKE IT FUN

Bring daily-/monthly tournaments with qp-reward and then let us get gear over qps. qps only for rank 1-8 in daily and 1-24 in monthly. So not every1 can get the gear but good players dont need to farm/grind. For pvpers who dont play tournies = gem store (but not the same gear so you can see the difference). more incentive for anet to bring pvp up (gem store = money) and more incentive for players to actually play. problem solved. AND BRING BACK GEMS TO PVP OR GIVE US GOLD FOR GLORY. thanks

as stated the retaliation is on the phantasms not the mesmer him self. as a fellow ranger i try very hard to make sure i am hitting the actual mesmer since any number of bad things can happen when you kill an illusion.

Dude i am hitting mesmer ( with sword because shortbow dmage is crap-350 auto attack dmg with 2304 power lol, and sword auto attack is 600+).I cant kindly ask him to move away from his clones.Ans why i shouldnt be able to hit clones? I should stand there and let them dps me to oblivion?That is a good tactic actually next time i meet mesmer 1vs 1 i will just run or let him kill me that would be less frustrating i think.

You just explained why you get steamrolled. Meleeing a Mesmer with a ranger, and killing clones with melee weapons. Tisk, tisk.

More trolls please… I’m not sure about the actual attack speed but SB attacks much faster than sword and give bleedings on side-/backhits… The DMG is completely fine..vAnd taking sword for more dmg is pretty stupid since every1 takes it for the evades… Go axe/torch for dmg. firefield + axe 2 and afterwards autoattack melts everything. .
